First off, BOOK DIRECT! The hosts have the ability to book direct and it is usually discounted over booking sites. Checkin was simple and contactless if needed. The B&B was a rustic craftsman well updated for the use as a B&B. Each room has a private bathroom with shower, new towels with soap, shampoo and hand sanitizer. There were leather mission style chairs and couches in the common area for relaxing inside. Outside on the back decks were many separate area for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine while the sun goes down. The downtown wine and restaurant district is an easy walk from the room. Over all it was an exceptional stay and look forward to staying here again.
One of the best memories I have to date with my fiance. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, He went above and beyond to ensure my fiances birthday was perfect and memorable upon arrival, the food was exceptional, from their garden, had to get the cookbook by Jill!. I cannot wait to visit them again!
This is a great place that is missing a few details, the room was warm and we did not have a fan. We were in the Napa room, which faced the street- only an issue if we opened the window. Other than that everything was excellent and we will be back! The Champaign package was from Mumm, the hotel is a few doors down from BBQ and across the street from a nice little tasting room.
Good location close to the main street of shops and restaurants. I believe some rooms may be a little better appointed than others. Ours was nice in that it had sliding doors to walk out to a large patio, with firepit. The room, could use some attention. The mattress and headboard did not align so your pillows would slide off. End tables are tired and need of repair and the room was too small for any dresser for clothes. The bathroom was updated and stylish, but it fell short in that the bathroom door was a bifold closet door, which did not provide a lot of privacy for a small room. I also realize that some rooms have TVs and some do not. I did go back to the website and checked, and it only lists a TV in the rooms that have them. It would be nice to call that out, since it is pretty much a standard feature of any accommodations. This is built and designed to be a B+B, but (due to COVID), owners have not reinstated that feature and provide a voucher to a nice coffee shop. The temporary coffee maker, and refrigerator are awkward in this room, and if they are not going to reinstate breakfast soon, should try to find a better way (add shelfs) to place the coffee set-up. Location is on a busy street with an intersection close by. AM trucks are loud, as the windows are older and not very soundproof. Glad to have been towards the back of the building.

We were made to feel very welcome. I have to give credit to how exceptionally clean the place was. Breakfast was also excellent. There was variety every day. The room and shower were tiny. Im a small guy and even I was a bit cramped. However, Its a very old house that was probably built before they invented indoor plumbing so there is only so much you can do there. The outer grounds and deck are very pretty and its a nice place to sit out and have breakfast or a glass of wine. If you climb to the top deck, you can see pretty far across the valley.
We stayed here several months ago and the delicious French toast they served for breakfast came up today. This place is super cute, is in a great location, and gives you plenty of bang for your buck. The staff was great during our entire stay and talked us into booking an extra night. We’ll be back. 🙂
Very cozy B&B. The rooms are well kept, the breakfast is very good, the owners are very helpful. Wine, sherry, and cookies are available in the sitting room, and bottled water is plentiful! The owners can answer any questions you may have about the area, and they are super helpful if you accidentally left something in the room. The Wine Way Inn and The Craftsman are now the first places in Calistoga that I will look for a room!
Stopped by this place on the way up north, and am very happy to have stayed at this place. Though the building is quite old, the room was cozy and lovely. It came with all the nice little things - LOccitane bath products, snack packs, a hygiene pack, Keurig pods, water bottles, etc. Booked directly on their website. Definitely recommend this place if your alternatives are on the same price level as this one.
I had to almost even call it value but that makes it sound like you get what you pay for - but this was a really great value.I called to see if they had any last minute availability for 1 and Nick could not have been nicer. When I arrived, he showed me around the building a bit including all the cute small touches. I stayed in the Rutherford room which might be their least expensive room - and I really liked it. Nick also gave a great recommendation for dinner.While I knew the room came with breakfast, my expectations were blown away. I had endless coffee and juice. A delicious fresh fritata. Homemade granola and yogurt. Fruit salad.... and some delicious scone.I will absolutely be back to this place - especially for the breakfast!
Wow! This was a lucky find. We are taking a long weekend driving from San Francisco and booked this lovely Bed and Breakfast in advance. Room was very nice. The grounds in back are beautiful. Nick, the owner, is a fantastic breakfast cook. Poached eggs, cowboy breakfast beans, fruit, granola and french press coffee. We will stay here next time we are in the Napa area.
One thing severely bothered us: the fact that we had only booked one night at the Wine Way Inn.Everything from the warm welcome, the clean and beautiful room, the complimentary wine and sherry in the cozy and welcoming living room to the simply excellent homemade breakfast was to our fullest satisfaction.This place does not just serve you Wine for free - it is a really good one too. They dont just talk about Breakfast - they prepare it fresh in the morning and it is PERFECT!We WILL be back!
Is very quaint, but needs a lot of TLC.Painting the dings and chips, tighten the soap dish thats falling off the wall, and our Kurig coffee maker did not work.Although it did seem clean.New windows in the room that we stayed in would make it quieter.
It is a house with many nicely decorated rooms. It is in the main road (traffic noise in rooms on the strert), however for the value, it is outstanding. You are in a house, so privacy is whats expected. Nick makes sure for a nice visit. Extras including breakfast nearby make it the best deal.
I stayed at the Wine Way Inn while attending a friends wedding. I was in the spacious Silverado king suite. Nick was a great host and provided an amazing breakfast every morning. The breakfast baked beans were awesome with perfectly poached eggs! Im vegetarian and Nick accommodated with a veggie option for me every day. Rooms were immaculate and the jacuzzi tub was so relaxing! I cant wait to come visit again soon!
This was our fourth stay at the Wine Way Inn and its still simply one of our favorite B&Bs. Our hostess, Elizabeth, goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and prepares some amazing breakfasts. After spending the day driving around the valley, theres nothing more relaxing than sitting in the living room downstairs enjoying some scones and wine, then walking to dinner in downtown Calistoga.
Loved this place! Nick and Jillian were both so accommodating. We arrived during some gnarly weather, and the power was in and out, and then just out! But, we came with some great friends, met new friends, and lights or no lights had a fantastic time. Jillians breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this B&B.

We have been to quite a few B&B place in Calistoga and this is my favorite so far.The place has all the amenities made us feel like being home-good selection of tea,coffee, snacks, drinks include wine and dessert wine. This place was just perfect..Elizabethe cooks a delicious home cooked breakfast every morning. Every morning there are some staples and every morning there is something new and sometimes unique to try, but always super delicious. This cute, comfy B&B is walking distance to the downtown Calistoga area. Its next door to some delicious BBQ, as well as a super yummy taqueria. The location is ideal. It has a beautiful view from the dining area as well as complimentary wine starting a 4pm every night. Also theres a tasting room right across the street. I have zero complaints!!
We enjoyed staying here. Gillian texted us on our way there to confirm and offer the details about our check in. She is very helpful and easy going.The place itself is charming, clean and cozy. The things I liked about this place the most:- Cozy living room/common place area with proper heating and beautiful decor.- Complimentary wine, tea and a variety of other drinks.- Chess, cards and other board games for a quiet night in after an eventful day exploring Napa Valley.- Fabulous breakfast served at a common table (a couple of single tables are also available if you don’t want to socialize). This particular perk offered us an opportunity to have a wonderful conversation with other visitors over a great meal.- Easy to reach host (seriously, I found it convenient to be able to text Gillian and receive a prompt response).- An old telephone in the hallway that apparently still works. This place has a character!We’d love to visit again and would highly recommend this charming place.P.S. Gillian has published a cookbook with all of her fabulous breakfast recipes, that I discovered after our trip.
The staff was helpful and friendly. As soon as we checked in, Elizabeth upgraded us to a slightly larger room than the one we had booked, since the inn wasnt that busy. She did a good job explaining the schedule of the inn, when breakfast was served, points of interest, etc. The stairs leading to our room were a bit steep, especially with a heavy suitcase (no elevator), but the back stairs were much easier to maneuver. The room was cozy, inviting and nicely decorated. The common area was a great place to hang out and admire the beautiful architecture. The temperature of the inn was comfortable overall. A bit on the warm side in the early evening, but cooled down later. The property in the back was somewhat expansive, built into a hillside, offering a beautiful view of the valley, and lots of nooks for privacy, even a fire pit. Overall, a great place to relax.The breakfast was excellent-frittata and chicken sausage on one day, scrambled eggs and ham the next, all made fresh and delicious. There was fresh fruit, home made yogurt, and granola available for those not wanting to partake of the more robust breakfast food items. The walnut scones were the best-melt in your mouth goodness.Then there were the perks-free wine and sherry was available starting in the early evening. Coffee and tea were always available, along w/chocolates, trail mix and home made banana bread. Cold bottled water (no charge) was available to us, kept in a small refrigerator in the upstairs hall. We could use the refrigerator for our personal use, such as to keep a bottle of wine chilled that we purchased, if necessary. There was even a free on-demand shuttle service, sort of like Lyft, that would take you anywhere within a certain radius of Calistoga. Although we didnt use it, it was nice to know of its availability.The only down side is the property is on a busy thoroughfare, with heavy morning commute traffic, and parking on the property can be a challenge, due to the parking area layout. Also, when guests are talking loudly, the sound travels through the walls. The up side is the property is in walking distance to downtown, a great starting place to explore the area.We look forward to coming again.
Loved everything here, except the coffee. Id suggest buying some from the Roastery in town if you want to keep the local items in the the mix, but Peets or Starbucks breakfast blend would probably be some good choices. Theyre bit milder and seem to appeal to a wide base of people.The hosts were especially accommodating over and above in every way. Id stay here again in a heartbeat ...even if they didnt change the coffee.😊 Thank you for making our 43rd Anniversary weekend so special.
A Beautiful Old Home (Bed & Breakfast) nestled in the hills NE of San Bernardino. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Quiet, outdoor gardens, rooms with no tv. Known for the Breakfast Buffet every morning, made by the Chef. Also you have Wine available daily, placed out at dinner time for your enjoyment. Definitely stay again and refer them to Anyone.
This is a beautiful B&B! Lovely, comfortable rooms are tastefully updated, and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was very, very good- huevos rancheros with poached eggs, chorizo and toppings. Maple pecan scones were also amazing! Highly recommend this place if staying in Calistoga!
This establishment is the perfect balance of professionalism while still providing the true bed and breakfast feel. The rooms are very modern and the service is as attentive as staying at a family members house. Max, one of the owning family members, helped us with checking in to selecting wineries. Amazing establishment that I would visit again.
We just stayed at the Wine Way Inn in Calistoga for our Anniversary weekend and the overall review is just ok. We paid a lot to stay in the best room they had, the Lokoya room, quite a bit more than an already expensive Groupon($500+ for 2 nights) but reading reviews, it seemed it would be worth it. We showed up on time, 4pm on Friday, waited a few minutes for owner to run over, let us in, quick 2 minute here is your room, here is this this and this. Then he left. I expected quite a bit more from a bed and breakfast, nice conversation about the area, things to do, etc… He was in quite a rush to leave. There was complimentary wine, which was nice, but the conversation and information would have been better. Our room was horribly noisy, downstairs and right up front, people banging above us and noisy street(I paid extra for this?). Our mini-refrig made a loud noise when it came on every 20 minutes or so, so loud it kept waking us up and we unplugged. The bed was excellent as well as the jetted tub. Breakfast again was a huge missed opportunity, 2 different ladies making breakfast on both mornings, acted very rushed, tried to make conversation but they were not having any of it. One guest even tried to get fruit off of the counter and was quickly scolded it was for tomorrows breakfast, don’t touch. Wow, the look on his face was sad, don’t think he will be back. Maybe we had the wrong perception of the owners or keepers of the bed and breakfast being inviting, telling stories, just overall helpful. Maybe this is the norm and we had wrong expectations. Our first and last bed and breakfast, it will be back to hotels for us.
Weve just got back from a lovely weekend in the Wine Country and we stayed at the Wine Way Inn. Gill, Nick and Jeanette are great hosts. They keep the Inn like a home away from home, with all the details you need to be comfortable. They also are a trove of inside knowledge about the area, with great recommendations of where to wine-taste off the beaten path and where to eat to soak up all that wine.Now for the details. We had the Lokoya Room which was both snug and cosy, yet very spacious with plenty of storage. The bathroom was luxurious with a huge shower and a lovely jacuzzi tub, ingeniously designed to suit long legs and shorter people with its clever footrests. There was a nice fireplace which was most welcome, as the weekend was unusually cool. Theres a huge smart tv which we didnt actually watch, and a sony clock radio with great sound which we used to play our iPod.The room had its own little seating area which is nice if you want some privacy, but there is also a larger sitting room for all the guests with refreshments and games. The other guests were all very friendly, it was like being at a big family gathering, I even learned how to arm knit :-)The breakfast room is a light and airy but the breakfast itself is the star of the show. Gill is famous for her home-baked goods and rightly so!
Stayed in one of the premium room, Lokoya. The inn was really nice and characteristic. The room itself was clean and in good condition (it also had a big TV unlike the smaller rooms) and had a wonderful bathroom. Breakfast was also on the better side, with some fairly special things in the buffé (all of it was delicious). Location-wise its just around the corner from the main street, so walking there took only a minute or two. The only thing I dont fully understand is how the inns can be so pricy in a small little village like this, I would have expected them to be half the price (if you look at what you get for your money). But oh well, I suppose they are simply trying to cater to a wealthier crowd.
Located on the main road, the inn is quiet, beautiful, and the Innkeepers are extremely helpful and friendly.Expect a gourmet breakfast experience, sitting down with the other guests -it felt like I was sitting down with one big happy family.If you want an excellent Inn experience in Calistoga, this is the Inn to stay at.

Comfortable rooms although if your room is in the front of the house youll have to deal with road noise (avoid the Napa room). No breakfast served due to covid but that will become a thing of the past.
Just retuned from a relaxing weekend at the Wine Way Inn. A girlfriend and I went with our teenage daughters- them for Bottlerock and us to enjoy the valley. Max helped us understand transit for the girls to the concert, as well as being a wonderful chef. The breakfasts are delicious. Wine in the evening. Immaculate. We loved it and are planning a return trip.

We stayed in the Napa. Very small and the road noise was all night long. However, it was a nice walk to downtown.
Lovely experience! The food was 5 Star restaurant quality! Max was a very gracious host. Had trouble connecting to wifi, but didnt take away from our experience. Will definitely stay there again, & highly recommend!!
We stayed in the king suite next to the kitchen. Its a beautiful room. The grounds are also very pretty. Everything is within walking distance of downtown Calistoga.

Wonderful inn located in the perfect little town in Napa! The room was fantastic and well appointed w plenty of snacks and a nice coffee beverage station. The location was fantastic - downtown Calistoga just across the street with tons of great wineries very close. Check-in was easy and the owners were very easy to communicate with. For our first time in Napa, we couldnt have picked a better place to stay!
What a great place to come on vacation, when you enter the room they welcome you with chocolates, cookies, a coffee machine, everything is super nice. The only thing that did fail them was that we had to look for the cleaning people to clean the room for us and if we didnt look for them the room would be dirty.They didnt throw out the trash, nor did they change the towels. But everything is super nice, from the time. The decoration, everything super beautiful.

2023-06-14 13:38:41I am so thankful we found the Wine Way Inn. We were originally planning on staying in Napa (city), but this was so much nicer and closer to the wineries we wanted to visit. It was so easy to check in/check out and the little bits of hospitality was phenomenal. Rooms were clean, there was coffee and snacks, even hotel passes for the wine busses. Each evening, we took advantage of the stellar back porch area, although by day 3 we were drinking water not wine. Calistoga is a charming town with great spots to eat and wineries close by. Thank you for a great first trip to Napa Valley!!

2023-04-18 17:04:31We decided on last minute to stay in Calistoga and we found this gem inn. We got an upgrade in the room and got the Silverado room. It is a beautiful house with a cozy backyard to spend time with a good bottle. The spacious bedroom had a king bed, a very good mattress, a small fridge, a Keurig (coffee/tea machine), and complimentary snacks/water. The TV has many channels. The price includes a breakfast voucher to spend a charming nearby coffee show (less than 5 minutes walking). The instructions for check-in/out are very clear. The owners are very detail oriented.

2022-06-19 07:58:03This is a cute Bed and Breakfast in a very central location in Calistoga. Its a 5-15 minute walk to all the shops, bakeries and restaurants in the town. Its located at the main road but the building stretches far back so we didnt hear any noise. Parking is provided. The communication was smooth and all went well. We stayed at the cottage in the back yard which gave us more privacy. The building has a beautiful garden with pretty trees and flowers, and a lot of private areas where you can relax, read, dine, etc. The place doesnt serve breakfast. They left a generous snack bag in the room for us. The room had a coffee machine where you could make a decent coffee or tea. Its also equiped with the iron and the hair dryer. The room was clean. The furniture is old which made the room feel very cozy. There is AC. There are some small things that would have made the stay a bit more pleasant: the door would not close all the way without locking, and the garden furniture was not clean enough to sit without getting your clothes dirty. I would recommend this place for a long weekend in Napa, it made my stay very enjoyable.

2023-03-18 01:29:02This was the most phenomenal airbnb experience I’ve had. The hosts were extremely friendly, provide complimentary snacks, drinks, and coffee. The entire property was EXTREMELY clean and takes extra precautions with Covid like leaving out hand sanitizer in every room as well as kits in your room with disinfecting wipes and masks. The airbnb itself is SO cute and feels like it is straight out of a storybook. Finally, it is in perfect distance to the most amazing vineyards, shopping, and the cutest little downtown area. If I could give this over 5 stars, I would. I will DEFINITELY be returning.

Even though we are experiencing challenging times and their kitchen couldnt be in operation, they didnt skip a beat with snacks, chocolates, refrigerator and coffee bar in our room. The room was beautiful and relaxing. The bed was phenomenal while the fireplace was very romantic. Ending our days with the spa tub was such a treat. So close to downtown, right at the top of the strip and walking distance to everything. We will definitely be back!

2022-10-26 17:27:33A group of visited Napa Valley and took up 4 rooms in this Inn. We all were very impressed. The rooms the service and the location were perect. I was located right near the Calistoga sign pointing to downtown. It was an easy walk to all the resturants in town and bars. Also quite convienent to make it to wineries along the hwy. Rooms were cosy and a bit warm the first night in our room but managemnt brought us a fan that made it perfect. Noise from the street couldnt be ignored but after a day in the wineries easy to sleep through. Great place and will recomend to others for sure.
