I think we caught them on a off night. The Daly City location can be hit and miss. The San Francisco location is more consistent with excellent dim sum

We came here last weekend for the first time since Covid 2000. Their focus is less on dim sum and more on stir fried dishes, rice and noodles. We got under the bridge fried oysters,, beef and veggies, beef stew noodle soup, jellyfish appetizer and everything was really tasty. Big portions too. Prices were reasonable. Well be back!
Worst bowl of wonton noodle soup I ever had. Looks ok in a photo, but soup tasted like oily water. Awful. Maybe their other dishes are ok, but avoid the wonton noodle soup.
Lobster noodles have increased in price since they used to post the sign outside for $20 dollars. Close to $55 for this dish now. Still tasty but more of treat place. Knocked one star for the price and not disclosing this in the past. Bought 6 months ago and it was $35 ish for 1 lb lobster.

We wanted to try this restaurant as the website said they serve dim sum. It has a very limited dim sum menu. Pretty much just the basic items. They serve other dishes similar to dinner menu items. The dim sum was good. We especially like the chow fun with gravy. The dish was $14 but it was worth the price as they give you a lot of beef. The only complaint we have was the service. It was slow.

Was fun just trying to get in the door, no handicapped access, stairs hard to navigate with a walker. Once we get inside met with person inside, we have two service dogs, he wanted to see our paperwork for them, no problem usually, I had all the paperwork for one dog with me, the other was back at the motel in the suitcase. Without both certificates we were not allowed in. So we had to talk the walker and transverse the stairs once again. Guess they dont want to be bothered with handicapped people, this is one way to stop them. LEGAL?

If theres ever a line between authentic and Americanized Chinese food, this is where youll find it. Theyve got dumplings, noodle soups, and your typical Chinese food. I didnt get the whole Canton food though, they just kept telling me to choose a Chinese food. 😂 Anyways, the food is really good and watching the staff yell at each other is quite an entertainment. 😆
My husband and I ordered Cod filet with vegetables and Mongolian Beef and they came very quickly and in generous portions. The food was delicious and they definitely tasted like authentic Cantonese dishes! We highly recommend this place.
This place is a gem. The Chinese food here is really good at a good price. The dimsum menu is small but has all the staples. We usually come for dinner and our favorite dish is their cubed beef with tofu and broccoli.They have a little parking lot and usually don’t have a wait. It’s one of our go to places for Chinese food when we are in the area.
This place is wonderful!! My husband and I stumbled across it when we were getting our car washed near by. The soup dumplings were amazing and Peter was so insightful- he gave us a very thoughtful explanation and wonderful teaching about all of the food. We will be back : )
Food is average; service/attitude is terrible! Spent a lot (tooo expensive for the experience) of money on takeout got no interaction/courtesy from service staff except frowning, grunts and finger pointing. The food is already too expensive so tips should be EARNED, not assumed!

I went in to get some food because the reviews were great. I sat and waiter never came to me. Then, after getting up and walking towards she finally came. She took my order and after 10mins later she says that they no longer serve the dish i ordered. Then i decided to leave then she overcharged me for a coconut juice. Looks good but i had experience.
Food is really good. Service is fantastic. I really enjoyed the whole dinner experience. The waiter realized I was having difficulties to choose from the many options and helped me out; also suggested what to order to not get too much food on side dishes. Highly recommended.

Smaller, cozy Cantonese restaurant. Went on a Saturday night with family at about 530 pm, to try avoid some of the crowd, and got a table for 10 immediately ( only one other table for 4 in the restaurant when we arrived.) The food was pretty authentic Cantonese. Portions were slightly smaller than I expected for the price. But that has been happening for all restaurants post start of Covid-19. The restaurant started filling up around 6:15 pm and all the patrons seemed to be Chinese, which bodes well for the authenticity of the place. Everyone in our party enjoyed the meal, great tasting food, and a good variety of familiar tasty dishes on the menu. Will be back!
Just got into the hotel for 5 days in SF. look up and see Canton restaurant. Walk over for dinner, lamb in clay pot, spicy eggplant and seafood fried rice. Delicious. Service top notch, dinner served in minutes. We will be going back.
Horrible service! Food is not that good either… for 5 long minutes no one acknowledged that I was even standing there waiting… I finally said very loud if anyone was going to help me. They didn’t like that with customers sitting at tables. Well, I just didn’t care anymore. Finally they’re trying to sit me at a table and I said that I ordered to go! 🤦♀️ they need to get out of the restaurant business!
Great food and service. There are so many varieties of food. We had the birthday dinner and the server was helpful suggesting the dishes for our big party. We will come again for sure.This place is now official my go-to restaurant whenever I have big party and friend visiting.Update: 4/10/22Their food and service are great and the price is so reasonable given the current covid situation. They alway have a big round table ready for us. 5 stars!

We went here on the weekend and absolutely loved everything. The hot and sour soup was amazing and cant wait to go back. The food and service was awesome and some of the best Chinese food we have had.

窩蛋免治牛肉飯 wa dan oyok fan is not in the menu but i showed the picture and they readily made it for me.This location is clean, and i miss the staff especially the lady whom i joked around with.But try their filet rock cod with veggies and their fried rice and you would think you went up to heaven and met St Peter himself lol.
My family and I had a superb dinner here. The staff was very kind. Food arrived at a good pace. We were not stuff down the next with food or waiting very long for the next dish. The food was not overwhelming with tons of msg. The food was amazing especially the cut up chicken with some sort of wasabi. There is also another restaurant in SF on 2nd Street and Folsom. I would definetly reccomend coming here or to their other restruant.
The food was delicious! Awesome that dim sum is available for dinner for those times when you crave it later in the day. They make some of the best dim sum that I would say is on par with Koi Palace. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Canton has my recommendation and will surely be my go-to chinese restaurant!

My mother ordered 5 party trays from this resturant .When she arrived home everyone looked at the trays in disbelief that 100.00 per tray !! Looked so little .Chicken wings were chewy an sawgie,Wasnt good at all.Rice was mushy an veggies were not even fully cooked.I tryed to call the resturant an this man was so rude after complaining .I told him for 100.00 i can make 2 full trays of chicken at home ..He replied... that i better go an cook my own chicken at home !!!.How rude!!I asked to speak to the manager, an the guy tells me NO!!SO BECAUSE WE WERE DISRESPECTED AS CUSTOMERS.IM POSTING, BECAUSE I CANT TALK TO A MANAGER, I HOPE THEY SEE THIS .THREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS RIGHT, AN YOUR PRICE IS TO DAMN HIGH.P.S NEED TO CHANGE YOUR COOK.You dont deserve any Stars!!!

Singapore noodles are awesome, seafood and veggies spot on. The kids had the chow mein and they wiped it out. No need to make the trip to Chinatown when you have this little gem away from the traffic and downtown hassle!
The dim sum was amazing! Then we ordered the Mongolian beef and it was just as good. First time at this restaurant and we were so happy and full with this wonderful good.
I called to make sure there is no squid in the war wonton soup and house special noodles. When i got home, there was squid in both. My mother has a severe allergic teaction which can kill her. They offered to replace it and make another and blamed the kitchen. So watch out if you have allergies. Needless to say that we wont be back! They didnt care enough to make sure since allergies are a life and/or death situation.
Very underrated Chinese restaurant around the area, most people only know Koi palace in Daly city as must go Chinese / dimsum restaurant. I would say Canton restaurant give it a run as for their Chinese cuisine. I would NOT comment on dim sum since I only been here for dinner stuff, but their dishes are solid, very traditional Cantonese / Hong Kong style food . If you dont wanna wait in line at Koi palace, give Canton a try

Cantonese style YueKai (hoi) alternate Chinese name for Guangdong. Presentation clean vibrant colors with light gravies typical of evincing natural flavors not too salty. Big selection of dim sum. Will come back to try dinner. This place makes my list of value leader gem.
Waited over 30 minutes to get our food and recieved our meals after a couple came in. How did they get their food before us? That is truly disappointing. The food is good though.

Ordered the combination chow mein, which only had one shrimp, and black mushroom with bitter melon… they can change some vegetables for another if you ask them. The Chinese style food is always recognizable for its distinctive Cantonese flavor

2023-07-12 01:53:53I walk in the front door, What you need ?Zero Customer Service, they dont have a clue, of course they are Chinese.Mongolia beef was good, minus I had to put my glasses on and found two tablespoons of beef.I was waiting for my food, because I got it to go, you can tell they dont move the tables at night, when they are supposed to sweep and mop the floor, all kinds of food stuck around the table leg, forgot a picture.

2022-09-24 01:11:03Beef on both dishes were tender and not chewy. This was the ultimate test for me so it passed. Mongolian beef was a bit salty though. Overall a good deal as they have good portions but I was hoping to get some dim sum. They didn’t seem interested to serve it as it takes time to prepare.
