Melt in your mouth good!Theres at least a dozen tacos to choose from (in addition to burritos, fries, salad, soup and more). The tacos run about $5 each and are on a 5 tortilla. The grilled shrimp taco had lots tasty shrimp in every bite. The Ensenada style fish tacos are fresh and made to order. The clam chowder was amazing as well. Great service, clean restaurant (even the bathroom). Just wish they were closer to home! Yes they cater.

Definitely a great find in the high desert area. Tacos were a bit more than what we were used to paying on the west coast but about a third less than back east so no complaints there, plus there was a big ol’ piece of fish in these tacos which was refreshing. Ceviche was nothing to brag about, certainly better than what’s offered in Appalachia. The aguachile had a nice bite to it and plenty of large shrimp. Certainly check out this place if you’re in the area. It was evident that this place was a local favorite.

Fish and chips were tasty and hot. Fries were a bit too crispy for me. The fish taco was good but I feel it would have tasted better if they used the beer battered fish in the taco rather than the panko encrusted. This place is definetly worth the try though. They have a good variety of items and 3 different types of salsa. I recommend the green salsa. I will definetly go back to try the elote. Love the loteria theme of the resteraunt.

I am so super disappointed with this place, I use to eat here often and then moved away.I recently moved back and wanted my husband to try this one bc theres also one off the 15 frwy on Armagosa (which btw gets 5 + stars ) this placed smell like old cooking oil the floors were so dirty, the service was slow ( to honest they just seemed lazy) As I waited for my order I watch other customers food just sitting in the window getting cold!! I wanted to leave but hubby wanted to try it 😔Boy was he....we were very disappointed they brought me my food but didnt bring my drink( which was $ 3.50 smh) I wont go there again and you shouldnt either!!!If you want great tasting fish tacos, drive a little farther to the other one.I really recommend the owners retrain or hire people who want to provide good service and take pride in giving the customers great tasting food.

Amazing place! Food cooked to order and they even accommodated allergies!When you first walk in, it looks like a fast food place, and you do pay at the counter. But they bring it your table on ceramic plates with metal flatware, and will even come by to make sure everything is good. ☺️

Love this place! I dont even like tacos that much but these have changed my word. I have eaten here way to many times in the last few weeks. Food is good, staff is friendly, and it comes out so fast! Prices are preety good too. The fries are AMAZING. Honestly I havent really been disappointed by anything Ive tried.

Fish and chips are delicious 😋 the Cole slaw was horrific 😪. The inside of The Galley is ok seats are wooden so not very comfy for the Seniors. SALSA was good but too Spicy Hot 🌶 🔥 🥵 it numbed my tongue. Otherwise I would rate 5 stars.

Best fish tacos in town. Everything Ive tried so far has been delicious and exceeded my expectations. Great customer service as well. My only complaint is that the restaurant is smaller compared to the Victorville location. Other than that, The Galley is definitely one of my favs in the high desert.

Okay. Hold up. They just changed their name. Not sure why they did, but I just had one of the best surf and turf burritos Ive ever had. Seriously this place can be called Karens Soggy Fish Dishes and I would still be a regular if they keep serving food like what I just had. Me and the wife were already The Galley fans and they never disappointed. It seems 100% that Captains grill will follow the same trend. Props to my raza in the back hechandole ganas, si saben lo que estan haciendo. Keep it up. Service up front is still really good to.

TLDR Good enough I am not unhappy at eating there but not good enough I want to go agian.We tried their Steak Galley bowl, Corn on the Cob and Galley Taco. The Steak bowl was not bad, not including the steak. While it was a half decent dish the large chewy slices of steak basically ruined the dish. The corn is similar to like a mexican street corn but this one was not fully cleaned and had a large amount of corn silk on it, additionally instead of a chile powder it taste like they added Tajin, this made it very citrusy, finally there was next to no mayo on it. As for their more signature thing, The Galley taco, it was fairly good, the fish was quite tasty and while I would have preferred a bit more cabbage it seemed to taste good.

Our 2nd time here at this location. The food was not the se here at the Apple Valley location. Kinda sucked in my opinion, it didnt taste fresh, or flavorful, was kinda like whatever here. Service was at the register, because we ordered our food to go. The ypung guy who took pur order, literally was done with customer in front of us & still took his time just chatting away with the customer, knowing there was a line behind, & my party especially had alit of us in it. & we all literally had to order our own food & pay separately. I literally had to say separately to get them to stop talking & have that guy take our order. Like do your job dude lol. Galleys Fish Tacos has another location on Armagosa down street from mall, close by Chuck E Cheeses. Is way better, they even have a little bar area there (Victorville location). The service is always good, & the food just taste waaaaay better. This Victorville location, would be my go to when I want Galley Fish tacos for now on. Yup.

Ok so being new here it had a cool vibe to it servers were nice. Kids had 2 carne asada fries my ma got the grilled steak taco plate with rice and beans and I ordered the fish tacos 3 of them. Food tasted fresh just really felt like it had no flavor. I am a fish taco enthusiast so I know a good place when I see one. I always research before I go somewhere new and the reviews hyped the place up more then its worth in my opinion. Tacos needed some lemon to them and i didnt know you could request them because the server didnt ask if we wanted anything else. No salsa no lemons. We only asked because we heard her offering it to another customer. But they were busy so I didnt take much to that. Anyways we paid about 75$ for this whole order and I really just dont think fresh without flavor is going to cut it for us. My mom said the meat tasted boiled it had absolutely no char flavor on it from being cooked they way steak should be. She did say the beans were off the chain she liked the flavor to them. But we didnt pay $75 for beans tonight so its going to be a hard pass for us on this fish taco spot.

First time payron, only in town for a day, we asked a friend where the best fish tacos were and this is the place he sent us! He wasnt wrong!! GREAT food and even better service. Araceli was absolutely delightful and extremely helpful for a first time customer. She alone would entice us to return for her bubbly personality and her welcoming energy but the good food definitely adds to the intrigue of returning!!

The coconut shrimp is delicious. The fish tacos are really good also, but I prefer the shrimp tacos. This place isnt cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. Everything was super fresh and super delicious.

The burrito tortilla was too doughy for my taste. It did taste done. The shrimp tasted good and was well seasoned, but I was not able to pick it up with my hands. I had to use a knife and fork. It was packed with flavor, and the mild salsa was delicious, but the overall ease of eating it was a little messy, again for my taste.

We love this place. My husband and I probably eat here at least once a week because it is so good. I love their Ensenada taco and the steak taco and the cilantro rice is delicious. Even their fish and chips is amazing. Definitely worth trying out if you havent been yet.

I always enjoy going here. Prices seemed high. I suppose it shouldnt be a suprise considering the state our economy is in. Menu has changed slightly. My wife got the fish plate which they have changed slightly. The fish came in a sauce with capers which my wife was not expecting. Service was great, but the food is nothing to brag about. Fish Tacos shell (tortilla)seemed cold, so it broke apart very easy. We also ordered The Surf and Turf fries, those were just fries a little bit of meat and four shrimps... not worth the price. It will probably be a while before we go back.

By far the best! Fresh and flavorful fish tacos. Its the only place in the high desert that I will go for fish tacos. The surf and turf fries were amazing. The shrimp was succulent and the meat was super tender. My grilled fish taco had a generous amount of fish on it, in fact all their dishes had generous portions. The place is clean. Right off the bat looked at the menu, each fish taco is almost $4 which in itself is ridiculous. I expect perfection at that price. If you like fish tacos, beer and friendly service look no further. I started at the Apple Valley location and the food is really good at this one. I go to the Victorville one now, the food is still good but this one has a full bar and more parking. The employees at both locations are very nice and the service is the best in the desert by far. Point of fact it is one of the few places where your greeted with a smile and people actually seem to like their job.

We have been here before and were satisfied with the food and service. Until today. I ordered my food online for pickup, and they gave a number to call if you had additional needs with your order. Im disabled, and wanted to have my order brought out to the vehicle. So I called the number, from the parking lot, at the time my food was supposed to be ready. The girl behind the counter asked me what I needed, I stated I was there to pickup an order, she responded what do you want to order and I said I already ordered, I am here to pickup...she responded so you want to order for pickup? So, I raised my voice so she could hear me, and she HUNG UP ON ME.I had to get out of the car, go inside, and they had music blaring over the speakers, and was basically ignored for 10 minutes. By the time time they got to me (no one else in there except gig drivers) I finally got my order, but I said something about her hanging up on me, and she said well you started yelling, well, yeah, because you cant hear me...I said turn down the music and start listening to your customers, and as I was walking out, I heard her mocking me to her coworkers. So I turned right back around and gave her the bird.I would have never posted this, even after all that. Until I got home, and feasted on absolute garbage. The fries were overcooked and stale, the meat and fish were scarce, and after this experience, Ill never be back. Nor will anyone I know.EDIT: I contacted the owner, and was given a refund. She was extremely apologetic, and said she would deal with it.

My first time here & first time ordering online! My order was completed absolutely correctly, delivered curbside quickly and with a smile. The Potato Taco (with avocado) was BOMB! Loved the Cotija Cheese on it!!! The Galley Taco was equally good (Chipotle Mayo was just right!). My only disappointment was that the Guacamole (for the Quesadilla) had a little bit of an off/bitter flavor. I LOVE me some good Guacamole and the rest of the food was so outstanding, I was expecting better. But, I will be back and hopefully I just got a bad batch of Guacamole.

Twice tried, never going back. I believe having your patrons tip prior to service is quite backwards. They havent served you yet so why? What is the servers incentive to doing a good job? Because they pressed buttons on an iPad? I can order online and save a tip. Anyways. First time drinks were forgotten, food came out at large intervals for just 4 people eating tacos, and things were forgotten. Second time food was horrible corn on the cob was seasoned with taijin instead of cayenne and the corn was obviously old. And again, food was forgotten. Honestly dont know how this place is 4.7 on reviews.

I don’t know how this place has such good reviews. The food was horrible and completely flavorless! We started with chips and salsa, which was horrible and sweet as if the only flavoring they added was sugar. So we switched out the salsa for pico and even that wasn’t worth eating. The chips tasted like captain crunch which was just weird. Then we get our food, a wet Carne Asada burrito and Ensenada tacos. The burrito was splashed with some weird cold sauce and topped with cold cheese, not what you would expect for a wet burrito. They used bland white rice and weird beans and the steak was crunchy and burnt. The tacos were like cardboard with no flavor at all, I’d prefer microwaved fish sticks over these gross tacos. We couldn’t finish any of the food, salsa or anything else! The waitress was overwhelmed with just 4 tables that were all at different stages of eating and not needing much service. Do your tastebuds a favor and go somewhere else!

The one in Victorville is better than the one in Apple valley. At the Apple Valley store, it was too cold, too small, front entry crowds and becomes awkward easily, and they screwed up at least three things on our orders.

Well what can I tell you about this fish tacos awesome the place in Apple Valley a little small but everything in there is good they sell beer they have tap beer so get there kind of early on Tuesday so you can get you a nice seat for you and your family get those Ensenada tacos those are good can go wrong for a $ $1.49
