This is one of my favorite Mexican spots in Novato and the great news is that they are back and open for outdoor seating!When I found out I had to go back and get some great tacos! The Shelter in Place order had me yearning for some great local dining and Carmens fit the bill. They are nice as always and the food was as good as I had remembered it!The cool thing is that they served breakfast all day on the weekends! My son got an awesome omelet (it was huge) and I got some tacos (no surprise there) and it was great to be outside in Downtown Novato enjoying the fresh air and great meals.I had to go back yesterday actually for another dose of great food. If you like great local Mexican dishes, this is your jam!Edit 05/24/22: Dont forget the Taco Salad and Tequila! :-PEdit 11/11/22: Been back several times and its still delicious!!!

Food is less than average and terrible customer service. We were greeted with an unfriendly warning about the wait time, which was nearly 40 minutes! To add insult to injury they wanted to charge us for the extra lime. There’s got to be a better taqueria around here.

They have this wonderful tortilla with ice cream (Sopapillas) to sing birthday to our friend! Thanks a lot! It was amazing and delicious!

Tried this place for the first time today, 6/22/22, and I started eating a regular burrito with Al Pastor. There Al Pastor was okay, didn’t have a lot of flavor compared to everywhere else I’ve eaten. I’m about halfway through the burrito, when I look down and see a bug in my food, about the size of a grain of rice. I then start checking the burrito and find 3 more inside. Immediately puked when I saw it cause if I found 4 in the second half, how many did I ingest. Please triple check your food if you have to eat here.

Not sure about the atmosphere cuz I didnt actually go there. The delivery burrito was excellent. Definitely going to go back or get delivered again.

Cleanest Mexican restaurant Ive ever been inside, and that says alot because Ive been to every one in Santa Rosa. Tortas are to die for and the Molcajetes!!!
