Best Mexican food in Merced. The ladies that run the counter are fast, clean and always nice. I just LOVE their beans and rice. The rolled tacos are really good, so is the Chile Verde. My ONLY complaint is that they are closed Saturday and Sunday.If you havent tried this place yet, thats on you.

I randomly took my friend here for lunch, not knowing how it’ll go… I was a bit nervous but everything came out delicious! We both ordered the plate with rice, beans, taco, enchilada and a sope . It was sooooo yummy! We also ordered an additional taco and asada fries on the side. It definitely filled us up and we also had left overs that was enough for another meal. The price has increased but it’s worth it for the quality/taste! I’ve continued going to this place ever since.

Friendly, respectful and courteous. Meat shop or kitchen, service is by far the best. Robert (owner) along with the staff great people. No matter how busy they are, they always treat you with respect.

This is my favorite meat counter in Merced. Everything is so fresh and clean and the service is excellent ...Very friendly and attentive people. Priced very competitively. I always get the beef taco meat picada de res and they will add onions, cilantro, seasoning and lemon for you right there at the counter. I love this place. Highly Recommend!

This place is great. The meat counter has a small but good selection of meats and meat packages to choose from. They are happy to make substitutions on any meat pack and will even cut custom cuts for me. Prices are comparable to other butchers. Its also nice to have the kitchen that serves a variety of Mexican dishes for eat in or to go. My favorite from the meat counter is the Flat Iron Steaks (when they have them). I have them cut for me to pick up at a later date.

Best little gem 💎!! They have amazing food, a meat counter with fresh meat. They offer some awesome meat packages. The guy was really nice said he could freeze things in advance if I had a long drive. Very accommodating and friendly.

Definitely a hidden GEM. One of my favorite breakfast burrito spots! The California sunrise burrito is excellent!! Full of flavor, good ratio of ingredients and salsas are delicious. The staff is wonderful as well!

I love Carniceria Taqueria. Everything is so yummy. My favorite is the chili verd burrito. Some onion and cilantro makes it so super yummy. They are my favorite burrito store in Merced. Give them a try, youll like it.

The staff is friendly and makes you feel like family. Food is delicious. The meat is well seasoned and the salsas really blend well with the meat. Ive tried almost everything on the menu and they never disappoint. Definitely recommend.

Quick and friendly service, Im very picky with food but I can eat at this place all week! All their food is cooked thoroughly, I havent encountered a nasty piece of meat, or an overly cooked piece. You can tell that these ladies love their job! Favorite place to get asada tacos, quesadillas, and tortas!

Their burritos hit the spot. I had the burrito superior with carnitas which was delicious. My wife had the #5 breakfast burrito. She says it would have been better with pico de gallo and that it was a bit dry. I would eat there again.

I wasnt going to tell anyone this but Carniceria has one of the best burritos in Merced. The meat is so delicious and tasty and tender. When you bite into it your eyes filled with tears. The only reason why I didnt rate this five-stars is because when you ask-for lite rice and beans. The burrito always feels loose. And I have asked for them to roll it a little bit better but still its the same. So I just come home and reroll it myself. But they are scrumptious so its worth it to reroll the burritos even if they are loose. Enjoy

Best mexican food Ive had in town. If youre going to get any Mexican food at all, skip the others and come here. Its worth it. Quality food, large menu with plenty of options with many topings to choose from. They also have a small convenience store inside with snacks, drinks, and fresh meat.

First time stopping by Carneceria Superior tonight and we ordered carne asada fries and rolled tacos and buñuelos for dessert. The food was good only issue is the carne asada on the fries, would of enjoyed more freshly cooked carne asada with emphasis on the size of peices of meat. I will say we were there about 15 minutes before they closed. I still ate every last fry - dont get me wrong. It was good. The sour cream was fresh, the guacamole was nice and chunky and fresh, the chipotle flavor crema was tasty, fries nice and crispy. Aside from the food we ordered, this place offers a huge selection of fresh meat and I happend to notice they offer bulk packages of a variety meats for sale. All in all we enjoyed our food and would be happy to come again..

This place is great. I come here and get my marinated carne asada and chicken for grilling. They also have a small kitchen that prepares great tacos and burritos. Their menu also includes other Mexican staples such as Chile’s Rellenos, Carnitas, etc, etc. The Creamy Chipotle Shrimp burrito is my favorite item. It has great flavor. The prices are very reasonable with portion size being bigger than I expected. If you’re in a rush they do offer the option of ordering ahead so that will save you some time. The sitting area is quite small so be prepared to grab your food to go during lunch rushes.

Great taqueria! Just go! Includes a solid counter service butcher shop and small Mexican style grocery/convenience store. Delicious food and some tables available to eat-in at this friendly and clean family run small business. Skip the taco truck in the Home Depot complex and treat yourself and your family/friends to the Superior Tacqueria and Carniceria instead.

I heard great things bout this place so had to try it .I ordered ...carne asada fries and carne asada nacho and two chili Verde burrito....and out of everything...we order was amazing ...packed with flavor ..... 💯 percent satisfied ...finnaly a place in Merced that knows how to make something so easy ...be ..amazing ...and there Chipotle...sauce. Carne asada fries have a lot of meat, cheese and toppings. Chile relleno burrito actually had a whole Chile relleno with beans and rice stuffed inside the burrito. Will definitely be going back. Also not too expensive
