Carnival Supermarket in Chula Vista

I’m a regular customer here and I’m always happy with the service, but last Saturday was really amazing. My son requested sushi but he’s allergic to avocado, the staff that’s making the sushi said he can make w/o the avocado. He really made a perfect sushi! My son really enjoyed it . My friend recommended me to try the bakery stuff from Carnival so I stopped by yesterday to grab some. Wish I did not because I lost my money for a bread that been been there for more than a day for sure. It was like a rock really bad, taste really old. Sadly, I was excited for an authentic mexican bread, dont think will go back again. Deffinetly not recommended. I hope they improve for themselves.

This store was very clean and wide variety of food. They make their own tortillas . They have fresh groceries and good prices . Their fresh cool waters are so delicious, highly recommended this place, they have it all and fresh .

I love this super market. For a long time they gave kids 12 and under free ice cream! Promo is over now that had us going back all the time, it was really great of them to do. I rave to my friends and family about this market. I have liked EVERYTHING that I have bought there (as far as bakery, hot food, grill, and homemade tortillas). I lived closer to another large Mexican grocery store that I would bypass to go to Carnival instead. The ONLY thing that I have had there and didnt like was the fish ceviche : ( I also wish they had organic produce more consistently. Lastly, because their hot food, bakery, and deli take so much space, that leaves less space for more products so there isnt as much variety of products as other markets but that is okay with me.UPDATE: still LOVE this place!

I love the food!! They have a huge variety, from Chinese, Mexican, Mediterranean and Japanese sushi rolls...the service is great and the staff very attentive. Its a good place to eat and to get groceries. The quality of the meats, fruits and veggies is great. They also have traditional mexican tortillas and bread plus some great flowers and plants. Overall a great place to shop and eat!

We love the home made flower tortillas. When grilling we like getting our carne asada meet and chicken adobado here. The meet comes out nice and tender. The fresh made pizzas are also good. The service is always great. 😁👍
