Loved our 3 night stay, so relaxing and felt like you’re a million miles away. Nice breakfasts included, beautiful pool and hot tub area, so many nooks to read and relax in. Loved the rooms, bathrooms, comfy beds and dressing gowns. A gem!
Stayed for our anniversary. Everything was great. It was quiet. No kids. Walking distance from great restaurants. The breakfast and service were fantastic. We stayed in a suite that had a tub and a fireplace. And the rooms use old school keys. It was just an awesome two nights.
What a lovely bed & breakfast. We found a super cute building with an interesting history, a heated pool with sunset views, a clean, comfortable room and amazing service. Breakfast consists of just a few options to choose from (and you can choose to have your tray either delivered to your room or pick it up downstairs and eat in the little atrium) but it hit the spot.A special shoutout to who I believe was the reception manager - our reservation did not integrate in their system but once we provided the confirmation email, he impeccably assisted us with making a new one on the spot and matched it to the best rate they had available.I hope to come back sometime!!
A superbly charming small historic hotel. Wonderful service. My room was small but nicely renovated with an excellent clean bathroom. The evocative longtime foliage of palms and tropical plants gives the place a lovely old-world ambiance: red tile roofs, old tile walkways, wrought iron railings, comfy benches and little hidden tables. A nice included breakfast was quirky in the most enjoyable way. I hope to come back. We need more places like this that are their true traditional selves, and don’t insist on mimicking everyplace else.
I love this place. Beautifully designed. Great for a romantic get away. Plenty of space for birthdays and large groups. Delicious food. Complimentary breakfast. The beach is a 10 minute walk from the resort and the hotel provides you with a beach bag located in your closet. Theres beach towels and a beach blanket and plenty of space in the bag for your accessories. You can see the ocean from the pool. Theres no trashcans outside. I have to go to the room to throw something away. Highly recommend Casa Laguna. They have a dry sauna and a salt bath for 75$. A 💆 missus ready. Enjoy!
The true definition of a boutique hotel! Casa Laguna Hotel is unique and character-filled. The rooms are modest, but the interior styling is awesome. The property is something from old school Hollywood with various terraced seating areas, and a pool with a view all set amongst lust gardens and Mediterranean courtyards. I will admit the parking situation is terrible so be prepared to send a while maneuvering into a tiny space, but once you are in, leave your car parked because it’s an easy walk to the beach or rideshare into town. I would definitely stay back here in a heartbeat!
Last minute reservation and we could not have been more pleased with everything about the hotel. A step above! Kyle and Cody were both so amazing. The grounds were spectacular. The lobby was so cozy. We stayed in and lounged in lobby. The decor was impressive. Live music while we sipped on our cocktail and a beautiful breakfast added to the amazing stay! We will be back for sure! Thank you again.
I chose Casa Laguna Hotel & Spa for my solo staycation in Laguna Beach, seeking to relax and unwind after a few exhausting and brutal months. I discovered this hotel online as it was named the best hotel for solo trips and I was drawn to its charming ambiance and excellent location. It gave me Soho House vibes, perhaps because of the decor and the Cowshed products. Very cute hotel indeed!My room was beautiful and cozy BUT there was one significant drawback. It was located on the street level facing S Coast Hwy and it was unexpectedly noisy. Despite having both a living room and a bedroom (bedroom located further away from the street) I kept hearing the traffic noise which reminded me of the time I lived in New York – the opposite of the tranquility I had anticipated. Surprisingly, I have less noice in my West Hollywood apartment than I experienced in my hotel room.My primary motivation for selecting this hotel was desire to fully disconnect and enjoy some peace and quiet. I specifically booked a Deluxe Ocean View room for that reason. Regrettably, this was not the case. I asked the staff about switching rooms, but they informed me that the hotel was fully booked. The best they could do is to offer an additional glass of welcome sangria as compensation, which I declined.Id still recommend Casa Laguna Hotel & Spa! I enjoyed it but unfortunately I didnt get what I was hoping out of this trip, especially for the price I paid. I would love to return again in the future to properly unwind but it will definitely need to be a different room so be mindful when you book your stay if your really want tranquility.
Such a gem of a hotel! This boutique hotel is perfect for couples for a getaway in Laguna. The staff here go above and beyond to make guests stay wonderful. Food was fantastic, and we had breakfast delivered to our room each morning which was so wonderful. They even included complimentary mimosas, and offered many other services to make our stay more comfortable - drinks, live music, yoga classes, even a container of sunscreen by the pool! The property is so beautiful and transports you to another world. The hotel is located next to a busy road but there was plenty of parking at the hotel itself and a small noise machine drowned out any car noise as night. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Wonderful 23 room, multi-level boutique hotel in Laguna Beach, just across the Coast Highway from the beach. Many of the rooms have patios or balconies and the ambiance will infuse you with tranquility. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there is a lovely pool and spa center. Our Newport Junior Suite was nicely appointed with a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean. The staff is very attentive and we received great advice on the best places to dine and shop. Our breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the vegetarian soufflé, granola, eggs, fresh fruit and banana bread, as well as our white sangria aperitif upon arrival. Casa Laguna was a peaceful oasis, and we enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful boutique hotel! Gorgeous property, beautiful room, amazing staff and service! Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. Very special touches ~ upon arrival, greeted with a glass of sangria; beach bag in our room outfitted with beach towels and blanket; complimentary breakfast each morning; coffee service; infused water stations; sunscreen at the pool; warm cookies in the lobby. Gorgeous architecture! Best part is the proximity to stunning Victoria Beach. Hotel has beach chairs and umbrellas for borrowing. Lovely, historic hotel! 🏖️🩷
Fantastic hotel! I highly recommend 10/10.This little compound is the cutest hotel I’ve ever been to, I didn’t want to leave! Felt like a maze at first with all the foliage, stairs, and pathways but quickly remembered it and felt cozy in there :) so picturesque! You get a free glass of sangria wine when you arrive that you can ask for at any point in your stay!The included handmade breakfast was delicious and was gluten free! Had the option to have it delivered to our room or pick it up from the lobby. We ate it in the courtyard!The pool is clean and the pool yard is also adorable. The couches there are lux and has an amazing view, especially at sunset. There is calm music playing throughout the place.Two EV charging stalls on site, $2/hr 8kW with no idle fees through the EV Connect app network. You just need to ensure you get the parking spot.The room was great! It shows it’s age but not in a bad way! The recent renovation makes this room perfect! The bed is SO COMFY.
A+ all around. The service is fantastic: from the front desk check-in, quick response w questions during our stay, the spa treatment was extraordinary (we got a couples deep tissue w jacuzzi bath salt soak w pool view after - highly recommend for couples), rooms were on the smaller side but still very comfortable, and well-designed, hotel design/setting/atmosphere is very charming and the 1920s Spanish colonial beach side vibe is perfect. Complimentary food service coffee/tea bar was amazing. We had a filling breakfast (included in room price. And the staff even prepared fresh crepes! A surprise). We are recommending Casa Laguna to friends. Loved the experience. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely one of the top beach hotels weve stayed on the west coast. Or anywhere for that matter.
Excellent hotel with great views from the ocean view rooms. Everything was very comfortable, and the rooms were nice. In the morning, breakfast was delivered to our door by the friendly and attentive staff. Short walk to the beach, and easy access to the trolley for getting to/from downtown Laguna Beach. Will stay here again.
My home away from home. I’ve been visiting this property at least once a year since 2013. The property and rooms are stunning—an elevated blend of Spanish and Moroccan design. There are multiple spots on property to relax, read, enjoy the sun as well as the sounds and view of the ocean. The spa services are wonderful. Every massage therapist I’ve had here is fantastic; but, if you’d like my current referral, Pavla is exceptional. The included breakfast is lovely and can be enjoyed anywhere on property or delivered to your room. When I first started staying here, the included breakfast was a small menu you could choose from that was cooked to order and it was incredible—I do miss that. There was also a wine and cheese reception. Now they offer a welcome cocktail, fresh baked cookies every evening, plush spa robes, a beach bag with towels and a blanket, and many other nice amenities; so all is well! Notably, the service here is top-notch. Every team member is super polite, professional and helpful. Highly recommend Casa Laguna for the perfect, relaxing getaway.
I love this hotel. It’s so cute and clean and the staff is so wonderful. We got engaged and they were so kind and generous, Cody and Kyle went out of their way to make it so special and the views are absolutely incredible.
Selected remotely sight-unseen, Casa Laguna was our honeymoon choice, and it did not disappoint. The covered parking area has limited spaces and is tight which required my having to unload all baggage first then backing in for the evening. Entering/Exiting from the main street is steep so if you have a car thats low or the front fascia hangs low, go in/out at a 45 degree angle to avoid damage to your car. Call ahead with any handicaps.I paid extra for a ocean view with balcony room which ended up being located at the highest point at the back of the hotel. While this location does provide a super view of the sunset with hotel flora and decor below, the shower was a bit too small for this honeymooning couple. We were moved to a 2nd room right up front facing the main road. This 2nd room was decorated just as nicely as the 1st one and smelled both clean and fresh as one would expect. The balcony provided enough privacy and leaving the sliding doors open allowed that fresh breeze to enter.We had to cut our stay short but enjoyed our stay enough to share it with others.

The stay started off with a friendly welcome from China at the front desk. She gave us delicious, complementary, sangria. The property itself is steeped in history and incredibly charming. I felt like I had teleported to a chateau in Europe. We booked last minute so the room we got was small, but very cute and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My partner and I got a massage with Francesca, she was excellent, strong and super friendly. The complementary soak on the top deck afterwards was a really nice touch, and very relaxing with a great view of the ocean.
We had an unexpected but pleasantly delightful stay at Casa Laguna Hotel and Spa. Our flight home from Long Beach Airport had changed so we ended up staying here for one night. What an incredible last minute booking decision and stay at this property.Upon arrival at the Casa Laguna, we were greeted by Dan at the front desk who helped us check in. He provided a lot of information about our accommodations and the surrounding area. Because our reservations were so last minute, we werent aware Casa Laguna had an outdoor pool heated to a very comfortable 84° year around. We thought this was an amazing luxury to have at a resort!Our room (deluxe King ocean view) provided us with a gorgeous view of the property and ocean. The room was spacious enough for the two of us but very tastfully decorated. The room was a little on the smaller side, but keep in mind this property has been around since the early 1900s.My wife and I cannot say enough great things about the staff at Casa Laguna. Every staff member we spoke with just seemed to love their job and made us feel so very special. I wish we wouldve gotten the name of our server and chef during our stay but they exude what every hospitality employee should aspire to be. What a great team working in unison!Just one last note about this property listing on Google. They show it listed as a 3 star hotel. I would absolutely disagree with that as an accurate rating. Im not exWe hope to find ourselves back at the Casa Laguna very soon for another amazing stay.
I am usually a chain hotel person, however after our visit to Casa Laguna I will re-think staying at Chain hotels, this place was amazing, service, attention to detail and the care of the guests was second to none. It was a spur of the moment stay, we usualluly venture out to local bars and restraunts, but decided to stay in for the evening and listen to live music and and enjoy a glass wine. We finished the evening off in the lobby, (beautifully decorated) we met some really cool people to top it off.We will make this a yearly or more stop. Kyle and Cody where beyond accommodating.The decor was flawless and original across the entire property (Martyn Lawrence Bullard) Thank you for the memories!!
While the staff were excellent, friendly and eager to help, and the pool was quite lovely, and empty, there is a lot to be desired for the rest of this place.The main issue was my $400/night room (#7) which was dark, musty (I had to wash all of my clean clothes of the smell when returning home) and noisy as this hotel is on a busy road. The breakfast was extremely basic and unappetizing. The parking so tight that upon arrival from a late flight I scraped my rental car trying to get in (and now owe a damage fee to the rental company).I had another reservation for later in the year when Im back in town but I cancelled it.
We really couldn’t have asked for anything more. The service was second to none. Breakfast every morning was delicious and prepared fresh. From the moment we arrived until check out we felt special and at home. The entire place is charming, quiet, serene, and kept beautifully. My wife and I were walking around looking at other hotels in the area where we might consider staying for our next trip to Laguna, but quickly agreed there was no reason to stay anywhere else. Thank you to all of the great staff for a literally perfect experience.
I LOVE this place!! My husband and I stayed at Casa Laguna for our minimoon and it was the perfect place!! All of the staff were super kind and friendly, they treated us with sangria upon our welcome and were always there when we needed anything. This stay is unlike any other, it’s truly a gem. It’s such a private getaway, away from the craziness of a hotel or big city, it’s the perfect couple getaway. The views are beautiful, the food was amazing and the spa was an absolute dream. We got a couples massage and they went above and beyond to make us feel really good and to make it romantic. The beds are super comfy and cozy. I cannot say enough good things about this place, I want to come back to California just to stay here again!! You won’t regret it!
Cannot recommend coming here enough! Every member of staff was extremely friendly and made it a priority to greet us. Natalie at the front desk was super sweet! We received a complimentary sangria upon arrival and breakfast in the morning. Worth mentioning that the blackened chicken tacos were AMAZING! We had them for lunch and dinner because they were that good! If you get a chance checkout the pool and the hidden sunset overlook. So glad we chose to stay here and hopefully we’ll get the chance to come back! 🤍
Great place with lots of character and design detail as well as extra little perks like cookies and hot toddies and free breakfast. The staff are super kind and attentive. The only warning I’d give other travelers is that parking is a bit tricky if you have anything larger than a compact car. We had a great time here and it was a lovely property we would happily revisit.
This place is a hidden gem... sitting in plain sight. I was already sold on it after hearing praises from a friend. Then the food, the decor, the atmosphere, the staff, and the view sealed the deal.We spent the afternoon at a tucked away beach cove a short walk away from the hotel. When we came back, a local artist played some of our favorites in the courtyard while we had dinner... A+Id recommend Casa Laguna for out-of-towners, romantic getaways, folks who need the occasional staycation(like me), and everybody in between. Ill definitely be back.
What a CUTE hotel! We stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon and it met all out of expectations. Upon arrival we were given a very kind room upgrade and gifted a bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon. Throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Very much appreciated the pool side food and drink service. The spa was also great! Very charming inn that gives a comfortable, secluded vibe. Free parking!We were able to enjoy drinks in the bell tower during sunset. Definitely recommend if you can!Highly recommend the veggie quiche and chia seed pudding for the complimentary breakfast.The only con, per my husband, is he would have preferred to have central A/C over a window unit, as there was no humidity control. Lastly, the shower head was not the best for those over 6 feet. Our shower had a rainfall head that did not adjust, so it was difficult for him to shower without having to bend down.Thank you Casa Laguna for such a great stay!

This place is a hidden gem. Driving past it on coast highway I never would have known how beautiful the property is. Much of the historic building has been preserved but also upgraded to modern amenities in the rooms. I loved walking slowly through the grounds because of the attention and care given to landscaping with native and exotic plants- everywhere I turned was another sight to enjoy, along with seating areas that are so inviting. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and hospitable. Complimentary breakfast options are delicious and made to order.
This is the hidden gem of Laguna. Incredible service, big rooms and bathrooms, a beautiful pool and deck, lush with palm trees and beautiful plants. The complimentary breakfast — delivered to your door if requested — is a lovely touch. Highly recommend this as your landing spot in Laguna.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the lovely Casa Laguna Hotel and cannot stop thinking about the relaxing experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, we were welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality by the general manager Zaman.As Zaman guided us to our room he described the storied past of the hotel and the region, touching on the architecture of the building and art commune that it was originally built for. As opposed to other hotels where you are just another number, Zaman made us feel important and cared for.Aside from the impeccable service, the hotel’s location was perfect. Laying just outside the city center it’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, but close enough where you can indulge if you’d like to. It also lays just across the street from the incredible “Victoria Beach”.Forget the big hotel chains, this lovely boutique hotel off the beaten track is where you want to stay on your next trip to Laguna Beach!
Casa Laguna is our favorite place to get away. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel, very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere! I found this gem in 2021. The Spanish revival theme caught my eye and we now stay here annually to celebrate my birthday. The staff is amazing! We were upgraded to a lovely suite and had a wonderful stay. See you again soon!
Our stay at casa Laguna was amazing! The entire experience from check in to check out was wonderful. The chef was fantastic, we enjoyed our breakfast and had the most amazing tacos at lunch. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful and restful stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room was beautifully decorated. I lost an earring and the whole staff looked for it and one of the managers found it for me. We are already looking forward to our next time at Casa Laguna!
I’m here on a solo trip from Las Vegas for work, this place did not disappoint. I got the garden room and it is beautiful. The property is gorgeous! The pool is awesome and you get a view of the ocean. Very peaceful and relaxing ambience. The staff treated me so kindly and my room was very clean. The attention to detail in the room made it feel very cozy. The bed is very comfortable. Traveling alone is a little hard, but this is the perfect hotel to feel comfortable. The Drake is an 8 minute walk away, definitely a very cool dinner spot with a jazz/gatsby feel and great food. Thank you Casa Laguna for a wonderful stay ⭐️
I cannot wait to return. The staff is AMAZING! The welcome Sangria, the Spa, the location.The only thing I would enjoy more are bigger rooms and parking accommodations.

If you’re looking for a unique, quaint, quiet, boutique, private resort feel, and a place with some history & character, Casa Laguna is for you. One of its most unique features is it feels as though you’re in a big garden - the property is covered in beautiful flowers, trees, and other shrubbery. The staff provided exceptional service. The food was incredible, especially the burger and chicken tacos. 10 minute walk to Victoria Beach. Short trolley ride to the main part of town. Towels, chairs, and umbrella for beach included. Breakfast included. We would recommend Casa Laguna to anyone. One of our favorite places we’ve stayed while on vacation anywhere.

Its a gem! Very intimate. Simple but beautiful. This hotel has so much character. The staff were very kind. We were served like kings and queens. The food were delicious! The spa was fabulous. We were relaxed and just sigh. Amazing sunsets up in the balcony. We feel like we were in Spain or in Tuscany. It may not be like the Montage, Pelican Hill Resort, Terrenea Resort and Four Seasons but its something that you may have to discover yourself. We loved it!
My husband and I stayed at Casa Laguna for a one-night mini babymoon, and we LOVED it! The outdoor sitting areas are so lush and pretty! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious and served right to our door…10/10 would recommend.
My husband and I LOVED Casa Laguna! We stayed in room #3, a large one bedroom oceanview suite with a balcony. We were very surprised and extremely grateful to have received this upgraded room upon arrival.The room was simply fantastic from the super comfy bed and the ultra soft bath towels (even the pool towels were super soft!) to the stand alone tub and mini-fridge for snacks. The air conditioning kept us very comfortable and the blackout curtains were great allowing us to sleep in late. Everything in the room was very clean and well maintained.We were offered a very refreshing white wine sangria (and cookie) at check-in and a complimentary breakfast every morning was delivered right to our room. The chia seed pudding and banana bread were great. In the morning, they also have a nice selection of hot tea and coffee in the garden. House-made tortilla chips and guacamole were a nice treat by the pool.The grounds and pool area are lovely and nicely manicured. The pool loungers were new and very comfortable, each with its own little pillow. The pool was warm and clean. They have a couple different lounging areas by the pool and you dont feel like you are surrounded by a lot of other guests. A good mix of sunny and shaded spots too.There is a nice little beach across the street that is easy to access. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance and there is a free trolley that runs along Pacific Coast Hwy if you dont want to walk. I like that the hotel is in a quieter section of town, just a short distance from the main beach.Zaman, the manager, was very attentive and his staff was always pleasant and welcoming. We look forward to coming back to this Laguna Beach gem!

I stayed in a Garden Room at Casa Laguna for one night between a work trip and visiting with friends. The front desk allowed me an early check in and guided me to my room. They were helpful and kind, offering to help with my luggage. The room was small but very comfortable. I especially enjoyed opening the door to the patio to sit outside. I would recommend upgrading to a larger room if you travel with a partner but it was very comfortable for me traveling alone. The sheets were so soft and I felt rejuvenated after a restful evening at this lovely hotel. I highly recommend!
Absolutely beautiful place - the gardens and patios were all beautiful, the bed was super comfy, the pool area looked pretty, and the breakfast was great and they made everything convenient and easy. Its within walking distance to Victoria Beach (which was my favorite of the beaches we checked out - the others seemed to have bigger, more aggressive waves). I will absolutely go back
This place is a gem. So beautiful and peaceful while luxurious at the same time. My main source of enthusiasm is the stellar service. Even during these strange pandemic times, the service was efficient, friendly, thoughtful, and very safe. I honestly doubt I will stay anywhere else in Laguna. The location is great. Minutes walk from a majestic and almost empty beach and a quick walk into town as well. As a bonus, the robes they provide are the most comfy I have ever had an a hotel. I will probably buy one soon. For real, this place is a truly wonderful getaway.

It’s a gem!!! Very intimate. So lovely. My wife and I celebrated our 13th year anniversary. We’ve been to Montage, Pelican Hill and Terrenea Resort and I’ll be honest that those may have all the luxury amenities but this place it’s more like an experience like no other. It’s like getting married all over again. It’s like something is lurking beneath the surface and it’s hard to explain. You just have to experience it. Most nicest staff like they were long lost friends. The spa was great! The food were delicious! The bottom line is if you want intimate then this is your home to stay for the weekend.
We had a very good stay at Casa Laguna. We enjoyed our suite and the outdoor spaces at the hotel. We also had the couples massage and soak, and that was very relaxing. We recommend this hotel and we plan to return. I had read beforehand that small cars fit best in the parking, and that was a good tip. We parked our car for the whole stay, and easily walked all over Laguna Beach. To walk around, you likely will need to cross PCH without a traffic signal. No problem for us, but be aware.

Casa Laguna Hotel has to be the best Hotel we have stayed at in Laguna Beach in a long time. The service is 5 stars from the front desk to the maid service. There is always someone there to help you if you need it. We were given complimentary drinks when we arrived and relaxed in there front sitting room overlooking the ocean. The Breakfast and drinks was also very good and fresh. We will be back for sure!
The place is a little bit of heaven. At least thats what I think heaven is like! I wouldnt want to change anything about it. One guest was mentioning the menu was repetitive as far as breakfast, etc. Personally, it fit my needs very well, I prefer less selection but quality but I can see how it may be worth considering having alternating menu, or at least weekend feature menu, to add variety for those guests staying for longer stretches of time. I browsed through the pictures of food guests posted over the years and thought there used to be some pretty delectable choices before as well.Overall, if I was asked to describe this hotel in two words, Id say zen zone.Thank you to all the staff for being very attentive, prompt, friendly, and keeping the property nice and clean. Great customer service!

This place is a hidden secret of wonderfulness. :) It is newly remodeled and just SO wonderful to go to. Pool that is wonderful and they welcome you with wonderful wine or sangrias. The rooms are wonderful and bathrooms beautiful. It is so fun, ocean views (from rooms you ask for) but from pool you can see ocean and eating area. The chefs are wonderful it makes you not want to leave and go out. :) ALSO they allow dogs. That is why I went there and they are so wonderful. I live locally and believe it or not just 3 miles away I like to go there and just relax. :)
Great two night get away for us. Service and staff are top notch. Rooms and beds are very comfy. Great pool area and grounds with lots of fountains and sitting areas make this place very relaxing. Walking distance to our now favorite Italian restaurant (Rumari). Easy walk to a beautiful beach, and they provide you a beach bag with towels, blankets, and walking directions. Our first time in Laguna and this is on our list of places to visit again. I want to reiterate that the staff is amazing. Very helpful, kind and accomodating. Highly recommend.
I will say only one line to explain my feelings about CASA LAGUNA HOTEL and SPA. Its a beautiful place with such an amazing view of the sea from your room, Balcony, and from the terrace. Everyone at the desk and in the restaurant to a server are just wonderful people with such a great attitude to help you for anything you need or want. We had a wonderful experience staying at CASA LAGUNA HOTEL & SPA.
Absolutely beautiful grounds. Spacious with lots of little passageways to get lost in. COVID19 is taken seriously and everything kept very clean. We had an ocean view room - the view of sunset was worth the price alone. Rooms could use more counter/table space, but hey, small potatoes. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and were very helpful & kind. 10/10.
Nice experience. Lighting especially at the bathroom vanity could be better. And there was gum stuck to the main room rug (previous visit).It’s a nice little getaway. The rooms are getting a little worn around the edges. And the pool was filthy and there used to be a hot tub available for most guests (please forgive if my recollection is incorrect).11am checkout times are not always the best idea.Overall, the property is trending down. The rate was far too high for what the property offers.
Property was charming but lacked some basic essentials. Our one bedroom suite had a constant sulfur order every time you turned on the water. The lighting I. Both rooms and the bathroom had really dim lighting. The luxury cost didn’t coincide with the quality of the room. Problems are fixable with careful review and maintenance. Good location as it’s central to great day trips.
Beautiful Mediterranean style boutique hotel! The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The room was small but well presented. The room had an ocean view that was gorgeous! The grounds of the hotel was very nicely laid out with beautiful flowers and Mediterranean motif! The pool was clean and relaxing! Had a great weekend gateway!
We went here for a short get away to celebrate our anniversary. Upon check in, we were upgraded to a mini suite. The decor is beyond beautiful! You feel as if you have been transported to a quaint European Inn. Our room had a view but you dont go to this hotel for the view; you go for the ambiance which is so charming. Attention to every little detail has been thought of from the exquisitely soft cotton sheets to the delicious homemade chia pudding served at breakfast. There are little private nooks that have been made into sitting areas that promote tranquility and privacy. The landscaping is impeccable! If you are looking for a bed and breakfast experience with a little more privacy - this is the place. Fortunately, we live pretty close so we can go back again soon.
Casa Laguna was a fantastic place to stay while we were in town for a wedding! From the welcome sangria to the room-service (complimentary) breakfast, beach bag, food/drinks - this place far exceeding our expectations! Even sitting by the pool the servers brought out some complimentary sorbet. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great quaint location!
My husband and I stayed at this hotel and loved our experience. They took time to make us feel special: welcome cocktail, delicious breakfast, warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening, fresh fruit water and great staff. Z and George really stood out and made our experience great. You could tell they cared about their guests. The hotel is right off Hwy 101 but Z made certain he found a room that would accommodate my light sleeping husband. Overall great time at Casa Laguna - would visit again!
We were upgraded to a suite which had a charming vibe with a fireplace and nice ocean view. The decor is eclectic and warm. The bed was one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in. The staff was friendly, and the grounds are beautiful. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Laguna.
A very picturesque, quiet quality multi-level hotel that is perfect for a romantic getaway or to relax and decompress. Breathtaking throughout, it is a maze of greenery, flora, architecture, color, design, trickling fountains. The attention to detail is spectacular -- I could have spent hours just photographing the tiles; each room has a unique tile with number, all walkways have varied tile designs, and the colorful plates in the lobby and dining room are all unique. There are trickling fountains throughout, each unique. You can exit the hotel to street level through a number of doors, your room key works if you leave at night and doors are closed. Parking spaces are provided for all guests.Each room has a spectacular view of the ocean, most rooms have a balcony (double-paned sliding door) with table and garden. There are full-size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and hand soap (secured to wall but easily accessible for use), also provided are robes for spa, a beach bag with towels, iron, hairdryer and there is a desk and bed table. There is a very small closet. No chest of drawers in most rooms, but there is ample space underneath the bed table and underneath the bathroom sink. Additionally, there are snacks, bottled water and choices of wine or champagne with price list.The spa and sauna are located down the stairs to the right of the lobby, across from the patio (which faces the pool). Appointment recommended, suggest making appointment when you make reservation. Excellent service in spa, friendly knowledgeable staff.Take the time to check out the pool patio facing ocean! There are 5-6 tables, there is also a single table for two with a view upstairs in the tower. Perfect for a romantic or intimate lunch.COVID protocols are in place. You must wear a mask throughout, there are wipes and sanitizer in the room. Daily room service is available, and sheets are changed every third day. The street level entrance has been closed, just pull into the parking lot and enter at the Chefs Garden.The service here is excellent. It is smaller hotel with a lot of wow factor. You will be transported into another place, be wowed by the attention to detail and leave rejuvenated. We look forward to our next stay in warmer weather!This is a non-smoking hotel and it is strictly enforced. Smoking is allowed outside in the driveway (you will see the bench).
This hidden gems street side appearance is very misleading! What a great and special treat! Such a quaint hotel with an amazing attention to detail! An adorable and comfortable room, great in room amenities, loved able to watch the sunset on our semi private porch by pulling the curtain - so special! The decor, boxed breakfast, complementary sangria upon check-in made for a very pleasant one night, romantic stay cation! Please note - their IS Street noise! Less than downtown Manhattan but still audible through the night.
My wife and I spent 2 nights here recently and absolutely loved it. The view from the balcony of our Ocean Deluxe room was spectacular. The staff was very courteous and helpful in suggesting activities and dining options. And the breakfast was among the best Ive ever had. We will definitely be returning next time were in the area.
My wife and I stayed at Casa Laguna in the Newport Room for the first time last week. The room was homey, not a conventional hotel room. The grounds are beautiful with overgrown shrubbery and flowers every where. Rustic Spaniard style grounds. Breakfast was phenomenal every day. They called in two massage therapists for a couples massage for that same day evening. The staff are delightful people. Beautiful location minutes from tons of art galleries, boutiques, and beach coves. We would definitely return.
Absolutely amazing experience at this lovely hotel! Staff is very accommodating and anticipated our needs ahead of time. Everyone was pleasant, very welcoming and the hotel grounds and rooms are impeccably maintained. Will definitely return again, as this was a wonderful weekend getaway!
If I could give it more Stars I would. The Hotel staff are so sweet and kind! Every Corner is cute and picturesque. Was my first time traveling together as a coupleWith my boyfriend and they made it very special. Its all about the details there! Free yummy breakfast in the morning too and they even provide a beach basket to the beach! During our stay we visited The Ritz and Las Brisas and let me tell you I was missing the Tacos and guacamole from here (they have a menu available until7ish pm I think) I could stay at this cute place, not leave the premises and be just fine. Anyway planning to come back here with my mom and enjoy it all over again hopefully soon!
Absolutely stunning hotel with fantastic staff. Booked last minute for one night but wish we stayed longer. They take every precaution with covid and the place was spotless. Pool open with social distancing, breakfast is still included and they deliver to your room, coffee in the morning and a welcome glass of sangria. Needless to say well be back!
The most interesting hotel Ive stayed at. The Moroccan(?) theme is consistent both inside and out and makes for a fun experience. Rooms are smaller than I expected, but not enough to complain about. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the complimentary sangria and well above average breakfast were big pluses.
Loved it! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice. The pool and hot tub looked nice as well. I didnt use them. To cold. They even found my coat I left in the room and had it at the front desk. Awesome hotel. Plus, the location.
We love Casa Laguna! It is sweet, quiet, and newly remodeled. It is far enough from downtown Laguna to avoid the busyness, but close enough to reach restaurants and stores with a short drive. We had an ocean view from each of the 3 rooms weve stayed in (over 3 different visits). The service is great, and we certainly plan to visit in the future!
What a hidden gem Casa Laguna Inn is! I had the pleasure of staying in the Laguna Suite. Such a whimsical place! The staff is amazing, always cheerful, friendly and helpful! I felt right at home! The lush gardens throughout the property make it such a relaxing and tranquil environment! I love it that I can get away from either and just disappear for the weekend. I truly enjoyed my room with the fireplace and the amazing bathroom and jacuzzi tub! My tastebuds were delighted every morning I got up and enjoyed the breakfast! I can not wait until my next stay at the Inn! It is always a zen experience! I feel refreshed and renewed when I leave! You truly will not be disappointed if you are looking for a place to just get away for the weekend and leave everything behind!
We had a very nice time at Casa Laguna. The room was a little small, but very nice with nice little details and special touches and great views form the little bench out front. The grounds are very nice and peaceful. The included breakfast was excellent, and almost worth the stay just for that. Staff was friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed ourselves overall.
What a wonderful place to stay on your honeymoon. My new wife and I stayed in one of the deluxe ocean view rooms. It was lovely. A beautiful grounds, with a wonderful view of the ocean (over some rooftops mind you, this is on the opposite side of the PCH). The staff was absolutely wonderful, kind, helpful and just so happy all the time. And they take such good care of you. The gourmet breakfast was exquisite every morning and we tried something different every day. This place is overall a hidden gem in Laguna Beach. It is older (built in the 1920s) but is wonderfully maintained and somewhat updated where it needs to be, without taking away from the historic feel. What a perfect place for a romantic getaway. This was the most amazing stay i have ever experienced. Upon arriving George at the front desk offered us a complimentary room upgrade to their 1 bedroom Laguna Suite. He was so nice and carried our extremely large and heavy suitcase from our car to our room. The room had a fireplace and the bed was SO comfortable. Beautiful walk in shower and large tub. Lots of windows and a nice view of the ocean. We also got a large complimentary glass of sangria filled with lots of fruit brought straight to our room on the first night.The best part of the stay has to be credited to Juan the chef. He handmade breakfast every single day. We had scrambled eggs & sausage Thursday, bacon & veggie quiche on Friday, strawberry banana and Nutella crepes on Saturday and Sunday was savory crepes with eggs, spinach, mushrooms and drizzled cheese sauce on top. Breakfast also included fruit, pastries, fresh jam & fresh baked banana bread every morning. Fresh squeezed orange juice and yogurt & granola parfaits in cute little mason jars. Juan was so friendly, he took the time to get to know us and talked to us every morning. He would make the crepes once we sat down so they were freshly made.The stay was so lovely because it felt like we were staying at home. Not a stuffy environment, very friendly people, BEAUTIFUL landscaping. You feel like you are in your own little paradise. Short 7-8 minute walk to the beautiful Victoria Beach which is quieter and even more beautiful than the main beach.If i could go back tomorrow and stay forever i would!If this hotel is on your list at all i would recommend 10/10 crossing off the other choices and booking with Casa Laguna right now.
Low key, good value. Nice view of the ocean from its hill top location (view is across road and over some other structures). A very good breakfast is included (you would have trouble finding a better breakfast place even if you wanted to pay for it). Wine and cheese are also provided free to guests in the early evening. Rooms are on the small side, but are nice and the staff is helpful. Location is convenient - you can get into town on the free trolly which stops every 10 minutes or so at the foot of the Casa Laguna and does a loop through town.
My husband and I just came back from this amazing place, a little bit of paradise!! We spent 5 days here for our wedding, and they went above and beyond to make our honeymoon unforgettable!! Brandon is amazing, as well as the manager, they give exceptional customer service! Great for couples and a romantic getaway! Amazing complementary buffet and coffee, and the grounds are just beautiful, breathtaking views 24/7 and a short short walk to the beautiful victoria beach! Cant wait to be back!!!!!
My friends have been staying here on their anniversary trip, when he called me and told me he wanted to propose. I came from Dallas Texas to Laguna only for half a day to take pictures as he proposed on the beach. The staff was SUPER sweet and incredibly accommodating while they helped me figure out the area, and how to navigate to the spot. My friends love this place and when I come properly for a visit since I loved Laguna Beach so much (1st time to California) I will DEFINITELY be coming. If youre the owner reading this, give them raises. I work in the hospitality industry (as well art the art world) and I would be lucky to have your team.
We (wife and I) had an amazing time at the very quaint La Casa Laguna. Food/Breakfast is amazingly good and consistent. Lisa, Assistant Manager, and the servers were very kind and made the stay pleasant. We will definitely be back and have already suggested the location to close friends. Perfect getaway for Anniversary.
I had the “staycation” of my life here! This hotel and spa is absolutely amazing! The decor, the details, the views and the customer service are all top notch. I’ve never even written a Google review - but I had to write one about this place.I went there for a birthday trip with my boyfriend (we share a birthday!) and I chose this location for the beautiful decor, the location and the fact that the spa has a SAUNA! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, filling our stay with charming details, always speaking kindly and clearly and being unobtrusively ready to help with whatever we needed. I felt they truly understood the idea of hospitality here. They made sure we had things like celebratory champagne, complimentary sangria, morning coffee, and extra water - they went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed! I do wish that my morning coffee had been able to be served with heavy cream, as that’s my favorite, but I made a butter coffee instead. Nonetheless, drinking a cup while sitting on our private section of the shared balcony, overlooking the ocean, was absolutely perfect. 😍 The views from the ocean-view rooms are stunning.The hotel followed COVID-safe protocols (masks, gloves, sanitization and distancing) and every staff interaction we had was professional and pleasant. We also had a “couple’s experience” at the spa - a private wellness soak in a small jacuzzi with a view of the pool, grounds and ocean, followed by a *wonderful* couple’s massage - and those massage therapists are wonderfully trained! Both my partner and I felt this massage experience was among the best of our lives! I sensed some shiatsu technique, deep tissue skill and Thai massage background, and in fact, my therapist told me afterwards that she had trained in Thailand! It was so good I found myself wondering what it would be like to have this woman on staff at my imaginary estate. Sara was her name, and she is an excellent practitioner.The sauna is amazing as well - spacious and private. The best heat is really in the middle, so although normally I might lie down and relax there, I sat up most of the time to get a better sweat. I was thrilled to find an accessible Finnish sauna in these times.I also loved the courtyard, the chic lobby area and the colors - it’s such a beautiful, castle-like place, built in that Spanish colonial style, and it feels both old / historic and modern / new at the same time. The details are lovely.I will be back. This experience was amazing and this place is so special, I am very excited to return someday soon for another staycation.
Casa Laguna was awesome — the location, quality, and staff were all phenomenal and made our stay exceed our expectations. We dont usually think of returning hotels (always like trying new places) but, when we find a place like this we are already thinking about when we can come back for a longer stay. It was clear they are taking all precautions to deal with COVID19 responsibly to protect their staff and guests.
Super pleasant small hotel in South Laguna. The highway outside is not very walkable, but you can get to Victoria Beach fairly easily. The pool was closed for renovations when we were there but seemed nice from what we could see. Would go again.
This historic place is very awesome! My wife and I along with the entire family have stayed many times through the years. Laguna is our favorite destination spot to vacation however whats what makes it special for us is the Casa!! Great team and management. Very accommodating . Do yourself a favor and stay at the Casa! Casa Laguna IS Laguna Beach. Actually, it is what Laguna Beach should be. So much of Laguna Beach has become overcrowded, overpriced, overstressed and overhyped… This wonderful bed-and-breakfast is a sanctuary, a refuge from all of that. It is tucked away on the south end of town, unassuming and private. I stayed there several months ago, and I expected to hear a lot of highway noise, but there was no problem with that at all. The upper reaches of the Inn have spectacular ocean views, and the grounds throughout are lush and well-maintained. The pool area is simply beautiful. However, my highest praise is reserved for the (guests only) gourmet breakfast, served in the absolutely beautiful main gathering room. It was simply one of the very best breakfasts Ive ever had. I will go stay there again just for the breakfast…
SPA IS AMAZING! If you can’t afford to stay here, you must at least book a massage! Amazing cute and quaint little place that you would never know is there from the road. My husband and I did a couples massage that came with a 45 minute experience in a hot tub with champagne, overlooking the ocean...such high value for the cost. Amazing experience. Highly 100% recommended!!!
My wife and I stayed here after our wedding last year and came back again this year!This place is great! If not for the amazing ambiance, for the food. Breakfast is a must and doesnt disappoint. There is a wine and cheese hour (actually 2 hours, but that doesnt seem to roll off the tongue quite as well) that I was a bit wary of, not wanting to get roped into a huge mixer, but, it turned out to be wine and awesome snacks sitting out for you to eat/drink at your leisure.During the summer months, Laguna has a free trolley that will take you into the heart of the city and back. If, however, you are a walker like us, you can have a nice stroll to downtown without too much trouble.You have to stay at least two nights, one is not enough!
Nice, quiet little hotel in Laguna Beach. Stayed in an ocean view room. The room was a little on the small side and I was disappointed that they no longer have breakfast to order included. Now they simply have a standard continental breakfast bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful!
The facility is old but they have kept it up beautifully. You will feel like you are in a Mediterranean coastal village. Our room was small but quaint and fun. Service was always pleasant and easy to get. Breakfast was good. A small but good selection. It is a great location
Loving this place so far. All the food available is prepared fresh in house by their chef.. and it is delicious! We are staying in a ocean view room and the view is breathtaking. Grounds are well maintained and very beautiful. Havent tried their spa treatments yet. Very nicely decorated. Hotel is pet friendly, $100/pet.
Stayed here multiple times. Always love the amazing Spanish mission architecture with modern renovations.Most recently I left a business card in my room and called later that day. Sylvia answered, immediately ran to the room, and had emailed me a picture before I knew it.Also of note, Jerry. One of the front desk guys is the most genuinely nice person Ive met. He always makes sure our stay is memorable and lux.
Service & Staff are incredible; they go out of their way to make guests happy, and were full of surprises. Great rooms, though a tad on the small side. You can opt up for suites. Breakfast (free) (and food in general) was fantastic. Views are great. Property is cozy and unique. Walkable to beaches and town. Highly recommend.
Wonderful little hotel. The service is great. They upgraded us to the suite for our wedding anniversary. The view of the ocean is beautiful from our room and its really nice to just walk through their garden and pool.
This place is absolutely special, very romantic and you can see and feel that the people who run it put their heart into every single detail. The lovely staff will always take a couple of minutes for a chat, sharing the story of the Casa (ask for it!) and helping out with good tips for traveling the area. Breakfast is a joy - eat the homemade Bananabread. All of it!
This place was wonderful! Gourmet breakfast and wine and cheese around 5pm. The view and room was amazing. I planned a romantic get away with my boyfriend. It was the best place. The grounds are beautiful with the plants and the pool. My boyfriend really loved this place and highly recommends it to everyone. I recommend it as well. The staff was so helpful. They even had sunscreen, aloe, etc for the people staying. Well worth it. I ended up spending less here than the Montage which is down the road. I would recommend this over the Montage. The one annoying this is the parking. There are these carport parking, which is difficult to maneuver into but you can park on the side of the road. I highly recommend this place. Wonderful!
My husband and I recently stayed at the Casa to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. Everything about it was wonderful! Beautiful grounds, delicious breakfast, lovely pool, comfortable room and attentive service. We will definitely be back!
An extremely relaxing place to stay on thr edge of Laguna Beach. Dont let the traffic on the PCH concern you, the rooms are very quiet. We stayed in the Laguna Suite, which is spacious and comes with a large bedroom, a bathroom with a big soaker tub, separate shower and a private toilet. The living room is separated by a fireplace and double doors and the interior design is simply fantastic.They offer you breakfast every morning and this is where they lost 1 star for me. They dont really cater to those on a plant based diet. Youre pretty much stuck with just cereal (ask for almond milk). They have a pretty sizable spread so bread that didnt have butter on it, or made with some sort of dairy product, for toast would have been great. A tofu scramble would have been ideal.The food aside, we absolutely loved our stay there. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful and I know well be back in the future.

I have been wanting to stay at this hotel for years! The pictures make the grounds look huge. In reality it is quite small. The hallways are narrow and it is hard to social distance, it seems like you are bumping into people. The rooms are very close to each other and small. Its not very private and when families with children arrive there is no where to sit outside your room. The place is right on the street and you hear traffic. There are lots is steps to climb because it is on a hill. This place is also old and has thin walls. Its quite expensive for what it is. When you get the bill, they surprise you by adding different charges so your bill will be higher.ge

My husband and I had a road trip honeymoon and spent a night here. By far our favorite hotel out of all the hotels. We really enjoy our stay. Jon who check us in was very personal and eductated us on the hotel. The updates are beautiful. Wish we spent a longer time here.
We spent a night here for our first wedding anniversary on the recommendation of a friend. Absolutely amazing!!! I have stayed at quite a few expensive hotels and I can tell you the ambiance at this little bed and breakfast is second to none. You can be sure we will be retuning.
This loation was very quaint and a lovely experience. There are A LOT and I mean A LOT of stairs. If they are not for you, then this is not the place. The rooms are newly remodeled and well furnished. New sony led TVs, dimmable room lights, good selection if toiletries, and a minibar/snack cart in every room. Breakfast was cooked hot and fresh every morning by a very nice chef. Every day was something different. Parking is pretty tight and limited so late arrivals and oversized vehicles may have some difficulties.
Lovely stay. Short walk to a gorgeous beach. Fantastic service staff. Amenities were a good value. Really good breakfast. Quiet, even by the side of the road.Internet was reliable and available across the grounds, but somewhat slow.
Liked: Very romantic spot with gorgeous architecture, flowers, trees etc and immaculately clean, fantastic gourmet breakfasts, pool area one of the best we have seen at any inn. Nightly wine and appetizers delightful.Did Not Like: Malfunctioning WiFi meant we had to give up our Jacuzzi tub room for a tubless room that still had internet. Vehicle noise from South Coast highway quite noticeable in several places. Queen bed units quite small, and off-street parking stalls at the back extremely tight.

Had everything you want in a boutique hotel. The grounds were beautiful the rooms were very unique and artsy. The breakfast was exquisite. And the staff was very personable and attentive.
Managers really nice and accommodating same with the chef and the receptionist, theyre all such a great staff enjoyed my stay clean inside and out and really careful with following all the guidelines with this whole pandemic. Youll enjoy your stay and plus laguna beach is such a peaceful place
Charming little place, with great staff. The location is a bit of a mixed bag - there is a very nice beach just a 10 minute walk away, but the hotel is located right on a very fast stretch of PCH.
Got in at eight pm for checkin and was greeted very professionally had an over night stay with massages the next day that vere very professional and polite. Was there for a birthday for my girl who said she had the best birthday in a while. Would definitely recommend this location in the future
Wow awesome spot. My wife and i fell in love with this place. It’s small but really cozy. The employees are kind. I recommend the chicken tacos, flat bread pizza they are WOW!!
This place is an amazing get away. From amazing scenery to great people, this place has it all. I came here with my girlfriend and we had one of the most romantic times possible. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to go to Laguna Beach!!

Great place. Nice, clean, great service. They pay a lot of attention to details including sunscreen lotion at the pool, water and fruit available all day, coffee etc...The only drawback is that you do hear the cars, otherwise all is great!Rami

Too many stairs and the view not very good. The breakfast was limited and just adequate. The jprices are over the top and do not forget all the hidden fees when booking, taxes and especially the utilities fee. All add up to over $16 per $100. Go somewhere else.
We honeymooned here, and the bathtubs were huge, which is basically all that matters to me.Oh yea, I wont ever forget the view of the ocean from their spa tub which is as large as a jaccuzi, but filled with bath salts and fresh water.
Our stay at Casa Laguna couldn’t have been any better! Such a beautiful property! We’ll be making it a point to visit this hotel before 2020 ends.
Very disappointing. Description mentioned cafe and restaurant. Neither existed. If you have any problems walking youre in for problems. No elevator. Staircases narrow and steep. Ocean view blocked by trees. Stayed one night. Charged for three.

A perfect little hideaway. You have to sign a waiver if you bring children saying they wont be too loud so not a family place. Great if youre looking to relax.
This hotel wasted 2 hours of my time! Called us out to look at their pool heater and the dimwit manager already had two other people there looking at it. WTH, how inconsiderate can you be. They have failed to pay our service call for wasting 90 minutes of our time!

They really went out of their way to make our stay special. The breakfast and coffee were amazing in the morning. The room was very comfortable and nice. We will definitely be back after the warm welcome we received.

A huge thank you to Jordan, Robert, Rebecca, and the entire team for a splendid five star stay! The housekeepers did a great job keeping our room very clean. Even the front desk night staff were very friendly and helpful. The food served poolside was excellent quality, fresh, and delicious. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

2024-01-23 16:27:11Relaxing, calm, scenic, just a few words to describe Casa Laguna Hotel. So many nooks and crannies to get lost in and relax in quiet peace. Theres a heated pool and hot tub and more than a dozen patio tables and furniture tucked away in out of the way places to sit and sip to your hearts content. Our room view overlooked the hotel and the ocean. The breakfast selection was just right for eating there or taking on the road. The staff were friendly and informative and just close enough for convenience but out of sight to feel as if you had the place all to yourself.

2024-01-15 21:02:08Because I had a long weekend, I decided to take an impromptu trip from Vegas. This place was exactly as customers described. It was charming. I would also describe it as cozy and quaint, and I absolutely LOVED it! It didnt feel as if I were in California near the beach at all. It felt like I was in Italy . You have the best of both worlds. The view of the beach, and that quaint environment. The vibe was personable, family oriented, and left me wanting more!I usually book modern or contemporary places, but even though this place wasnt that, I loved its unique atmosphere.This was my first time visiting Laguna Beach from Vegas, and it definitely wouldnt be my last!FYI, in addition to the breakfast, they also have unlimited coffee, tea, and mimosas in the morning (only on weekends for the mimosa)There is also infused cold water on the premises near the lobby thatsavailable daily. They also have a pool, hot tub, and a spa.This lovely place is walking distance to the beach and numerous restaurants. You do not need to rent a car. I enjoyed walking, so I walked everywhere!Thank you for your hospitality :)As always, Ill be back in my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice.

2024-02-29 17:25:38My girlfriend and I just spent three nights here and had a fairly nice experience. To start with, we were given a room upgrade upon checking in. The Suite was amazing. It had a fireplace, living room, king size bed, large bathroom with a tub. Here are some of the issues we experienced during our stay: it had been raining and apparently the entry door expands which makes it extremely difficult to open. I’m a pretty strong guy and honestly struggled with opening the door from the inside. In fact one day my girlfriend got stuck inside the room because she couldn’t open the door. So not only is this an inconvenience but probably a safety hazard as well. Now when the door dried up, there was zero issues opening the door. But it wasn’t a pleasant experience having to struggle opening the door 3-4 times a day during our stay. The next issue was with the fireplace. Sometimes it lit and other times it didn’t. Another issue was with the bathtub. I was looking forward to taking a bath, and when I turned on the faucet to fill the tub, it was a very slow flow. Honestly it would have taken 2 hours to fill the tub. So the tub is more decorative than useful.Things we loved about our stay: the customer service from the folks that work there is absolutely amazing! They made our stay a memorable experience. They also make homemade chocolate chip cookies every day around 5:00 that are fabulous!! The pool is lovely, though I wish they had a legitimate hot tub that could be used by everyone, not a small little tub that is only available by paying. The sauna is also a nice addition. But the one issue with the sauna is they have a metal handle on the inside of the door. So when the sauna gets hot, so does the metal handle. Again, safety issue. The breakfast is delicious. It would be nice to change it up a bit for guests that stay multiple days. The only other issue to be aware of is this hotel is right on the PCH so there is noise from the highway.

2023-12-10 20:36:30This is an outstanding property. I often leave a hotel feeling overcharged but certainly not here. From the moment we arrived to checkout the service, accommodations, champagne patio breakfast, hot toddy Friday nights and spectacular sunsets from the heated pool were magical. Located an easy stroll to Victoria Beach, right on the trolley line....this beautiful, unpretentious hotel captures all that makes Laguna Beach and Southern CA a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
