The quality has diminished over time. I am forgiving since every place isn’t the best but the shrimp shell was my last reason. My gf is allergic to all seafood, so the shrimp shell would have been devastating.It gets me thinking that their kitchen is cross contaminatedInfractions:1) dead cockroach stuck on the side of my red salsa cup2) shrimp shell mixed in my fries

I purchased #14 on the menu which is a beef taco and 3 rolled tacos and this is what I got 4 rolled tacos only?! Also ordered a large drink & stuffed jalapenos. The guacamole is brown green ?even the side of guacamole and very thin consistency.May just have to check this off the list as placed to eat.

Everything Ive tried here is delicious. From the breakfast burritos, flautas, taquitos, chilaquiles, and the carnitas torta. I do recommend trying it, Customer service is great in drive-thru, and Ive never experienced dine in. They are quick and accurate. Keep up the great job!!!

I’ve been to this castanedas a few times and it’s decentI would say better then the one on Florida and probably better then the one in sun city but I don’t like the burritos 🌯 at any of them I strictly come here for the torta and it’s just okay not as good as the one at el ranchitoBut what I do like is the drive-thru is fast they get my order right. And they got some really good rice & salsa

Great Mexican Food. I highly recommend the Chicken Super Flautas. Everything is made to order. Prices are reasonable. Been a frequent customer ever since we relocated from SD, as most know how hard it is to find good Mexican food if its not SD or LA.

1st time here. The place is kinda small. Nobody was there at all so that kinda concerned us, but we wanted Mexican food so we parked and walked inside. Their menu had alot to choose from so thats a +. Another concern was the flies inside. The girl that helped us with our order was a bit friendly. But didnt feel that good welcome. They also had a salsa bar. There was also cucumber slices. I got a carnitas torta, it was a bit dry, i should have asked for sour cream inside. Hubby got a carne asada burrito, he like it, and my girls got bean and cheese burritos which they enjoyed. For all of us to share we got a carne asada fries. We also shared the chicken flautas. Overall ok food.

Only place open at 2:30am, it was a bit pricey but it was absolutely delicious. We ordered a mushroom quesadilla, a breakfast egg burrito and a bean and cheese burrito. We split the quesadilla. It was so huge that I didnt even eat my burrito until the next day and even the next day warmed up in the microwave it was delicious. And so was the breakfast burrito. We will be eating there every time were out that way. A+

The food is pretty decent, my problem, they are supposedly a 24 hr place. Well, I go to work early on some days around 4:30 AM, and sometimes 6:30AM. On almost every time I go there, they can’t take my order because they are either “cleaning the grill” or they are “only taking cash”. Or on more than one occasion, they have cones blocking the drive through. Which is a shame, I like their food. Maybe they shouldn’t be a 24hr place and close at night. During the day, never have problems. The card reader miraculously works during the day, not at night? Something is weird.

After waiting for 25-30 mins on the drive Through,I get to the window and cashier tells me he is the only one working. He couldn’t get my order and if I wasn’t in a hurry i could go around and wait in line again. There were about 6 cars waiting by that time. Best worst Mexican food ever, especially when youre drunk at 1 AM. I dont mean that in a bad way either. Its delicious, greasy, and makes for a terrible next day acid reflux attack. Regardless, their fish tacos have gotten really good and their burritos are yummy. If going with the cabeza, I suggest asking for pico de Gallo and extra limes rather than just the cilantro/onion combo.

Overnights staff is in desperate need of an attitude adjustment. They get mad at you before you even order. Ive gone 5 times in the past year and they have been blatantly rude each time. Wow...what a find!! We tried to go to the restaurant next door, it was closed, so we ended up going to Castanedas. It was very unassuming and looked like a Mexican drive thru. We ordered at the counter and there was so much to pick from; the staff was extremely helpful as well and cheerful. The food was absolutely amazing! The prices were extremely reasonable, the food came out piping hot, and was delicious! Everything tasted authentic and homemade ... even the chips and salsa! My DH ate three bowls..they were a big hit (and free)! Cant wait to go back!!

I Ordered a chimicanga( Spelling completely wrong sorry) for under 8 bucks and let me tell you it was MASSIVE! Great value for what you spend. Definitely can feed 2 people generously. Really good food at a reasonable price. And they are open late night! Staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Service was fast and our order was perfect. I had the flautas, they came with a generous amount of real guacamole, not watered down avocado sauce. They were delicious. My friend had a carnitas burrito, and 2 tacos. He loved them. I brought enchiladas home for my kids and they loved them. My only complaint was the cheddar cheese in the enchiladas, I prefer juajaca, less oily. Even the sodas were extra good. A great place.

I waited 5 + minutes and the cashier never acknowledge me The cooks were just staring at me. I decided to leave after the bad customer service I experience. We used to eat here because its close to home. Today just before lunch I ordered Chicken Wrapped Burrito. It felt weird because the burrito wrap was so so thick and it didnt feel right when I eat it. I was hungry and I eat little by little. When I arrived home, I was sweating and went to the restroom and has loose bowels movement. I dont want to eat the burrito anymore. Maybe the burrito wrap is not new or maybe the chicken inside or the sauces. The chicken part inside, the one that is fleshy white, doesnt even look like cooked. We went here on my daughters suggestion yesterday for brunch and were glad we did, My husband got the chicken taco combo and I got the carnitas combo, very good prices for what you get. My son, mother in law and I had to go out to Hemet and stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. Their food was fresh and made to order and HUGE portions. The salsa bar was fresh (and clean) with a large selection of salsas. My son (2 1/2) is a really picky eater, but even he loved it!! We end up going here only because its the only place still open close to home in the middle of the night.The food is very bland, but what really upsets me is that the food isnt cheap, yet every single time I go they get the order wrong. Every time. Each time I make sure to speak clearly as to what it is each member wants and does not want. My husband & I ordered a doordash order from here tonight and we (spent over 25 dollars) ordered 2 horchatas, taquitos, a carne asada taco & a side of beans and cheese. When we received the order we quickly realized there was no drinks and asked the driver if they gave him any drinks and he said no. Then as we opened up the food we saw we didn’t get the beans & cheese we ordered and saw there was some other Burrito. We called the store in hopes of maybe getting our money back for the things we paid for and didn’t receive & at first the women on the phone had no idea what we were taking about and she told us hold on. So we waited on the phone for about 5 minutes before she came back and suddenly remembered having everything right and giving the drinks to the driver. I asked to speak to a manager and the women said okay then just left us on the phone for 20 minutes saying nothing then just hung up on us. Nobody picked up and talked to us to try and resolve the issue they just weren’t very concerned. Before this incident I was such a big fan of castenadas never had a problem but this was just terrible customer service. I will not be spending my money at a place that does not care about customer satisfaction

The food is almost decent. I dined in with a friend we spent 28.07 and when I was looking at my account later I noticed I was charged 33.31. I called in that night and tried to speak with the manager about being over charged. He said the cashier who took my order was not there, that I could come back the next day so it could be investigated. Well not to long later magically the charge was changed to 28.07. To some people 5 dollars may not be that big of a deal, but if they are doing this to one customer a day they are making at least 150 dollars in profit a month just from jipping customers who arent paying attention to it!

The Felipe fries were a disappointment. Fries were greasy and not cooked correctly. Nothing had flavor besides the Chipotle sauce, it doesnt come with beans, sour cream or guacamole (compared to Albertos mexican food). The torta was okay but had way too much onion. I also tried their breaded shrimp and the flour tasted old and it smelled funny, I didnt even finish them because of the smell. I also didnt like the horchata, it was watered down and just tasted like water with cinnamon. Definitely not worth 40$, I do not recommend people to spend their money here. I gave 2 stars based on the carne asada torta being okay but everything else is a 1 star.

If the gross food and ridiculous long wait wasnt enough to deserve one star, the horrible customer service and my brand new car covered in guacamole sure is. In a very condescending tone. I would have taken pictures if I wasnt concerned with the guacamole staining my very very light colored seats. After 20 minutes of trying to clean guacamole from in between the one inch gap of my seats, I gave up. The seats cleaned up okay, well see how it dries. And luckily the carpet is black. Hopefully my car doesnt reek of avocado for long. If the staff didnt act like they hated their life and like they didnt have something better to do at two in the morning, it all could have been avoided. Ill be contacting a manager/owner in the morning. Well see how the situation is handled from there.

Been there 5 times and every time customer service was horrible. The food is decent for the area. So thats the reason for the 2 star rating.

This place is very inconsistent with the amount of food they serving, burritos they are way too small most times, and they are cheap on the amount of salsa they give out.

The service was very good. There is a lady making flour tortillas there. I liked the place and the ambience. The food was good, nothing awesome. It was ok.

I ordered 2 bean and cheese burritos they were horrible I couldn’t finish the second one and I have horrible food poisoning also it was to pricey you can get good food for less anywhere else.

Better than a few of the taco shops and they have a huge salsa bar inside all of them are good and its free unlike some of the others

Castañedas is a three star restaurant that serves Mexican food fast and in and drive thru. I rateed four stars because of personal interest in their horchatas and quantity of food you get from their orders.
