2023-07-12 03:21:26If opportunity arises, drop into CV Marketplace... especially Oculto restaurant on the second floor... excellent menu with a variety of wines and cocktails and attentive staff. Family friendly place but also good for couples and the lone ranger. Enjoy!

2021-11-13 00:25:23Wonderful treasure in Castro Valley! One stop shop under one big roof - Grocery store which is a smaller version of Whole Foods Market, deli, sushi, oils and spices,Butcher, etc. We always go for Akemi sushi which is so fresh but expensive, worth it though. Havent tried the other places yet. There is plenty of seating outside and so refreshing especially on a pleasant day!

2022-02-28 04:43:35Love that this space after years of sitting vacant has come to life and they have done a gorgeous job. I only had time to explore Amphora, Oaktown Spice Shop, the natural grocery and the deli/cheese counter. All of which where extremely helpful except the deli/cheese counter. They unfortunately made me feel like I was unwelcome while I was trying to order during lunch as they were trying to film a story so I wont return to that part of the marketplace but look forward to returning and seeing the rest and returning to those that offered amazing serviceToday went to eat and they have a new plant vendor and I wanted to purchase every single gorgeous plantFor brunch tried to lemon ricotta pancakes yum and home fries

2020-08-05 01:06:00This small, local grocery market with a few smaller local food shops is what it’s all about. Things are pricier but supporting local is always the way to go, if you’re able. They put a lot of thought and investment into making this spot look nice and clean and welcoming! It doesnt have that cafeteria vibe that the public market on Lake Chabot rd has, but there’s seating outside for when more things open up inside. As of now the grocery, bakery, and meat shop are open. They sell some good looking dry aged meat! It looks like a small Japanese restaurant and another food spot hasn’t opened yet but coming soon.

2020-07-20 16:17:04This is a foodie wonderland, if you want to buy rare items that you cannot find at Safeway or Lucky you need to shop here. my favorite items are black truffles imported from Italy and the chantrel mushrooms. If you love meat, then this is the place for you, the butcher has an extremely wide variety. The cheese monger is so knowledgeable for all your needs. i absolutely love this place and Castro valley has needed something like this for a long time! please stay!!!

2021-04-10 18:40:00OMG I am in Love with their bakery items specifically the chocolate filled croissants. The inside is perfect If you put it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Chocolate is perfectly melted, even if you do not heat it up its still soft compared to others. In side this building you have more than just the bakery. So be prepared to look around.

2020-08-27 03:59:21Its about time that Castro Valley has a high-end public marketplace!! Been waiting for them to open for the past 2 yrs. Right now, Seven Hills Bakery, Barons Butchery and Castro Valley Natural Grocery is opened. Soon there will be Amphora Wine, Akemi restaurant and Oaktown Spice Shop will be opened. Not ready yet, but on the second level will have cooking classes from local chefs as well as a speakeasy bar downstairs. There is parking for the public on right side of the building as well as outdoor seating on the left side of the building. Prior to entering the marketplace, it is nice to see that management is practicing Covid safety measures. There is a person who sprays your hand with sanitizer and are practicing 6 feet social distancing. The bakery is opened at 9:00am. However, the elderly are allowed to go in to make their purchases before the general public. Cant wait until the entire building is ready for business. Itll be a great addition to Castro Valley!!

2023-07-27 23:18:08Like a high-end Whole Foods Market before Amazon took over, local products and produce, good butcher shop, nice wine shop, bakery and sushi bar, a great Central American restaurant up stairs (The roast chicken and potato brava are to die for!), sandwich and beer bar down stairs, pizza parlor upstairs, live music in the evenings, other miscellaneous shops, a very pleasant place to shop for the home market.

2023-10-02 18:11:55Great place for getting fresh groceries. They have fresh bread and other bakery items. Similarly, they have a meat market to serve fresh meat.
