Pleasant environment to visit with friends. Friendly staff, but had to ask for water refills and never offered another or came to check. Huge burritos. Garlic fish fillet was good. Very flavorful, but left tummy feeling a little iffy after. Would come with others again, but may not seek it out in our own again.

This is our go-to Mexican restaurant. The service and servers are nice and its just an overall wonderful atmosphere. The owner always comes by to say hi and to see how we are enjoying our meal. Their chicken mole is especially delicious.

Delicious! We will definitely be back! I didnt get a picture until we were almost done. We had the Huevos con Jamon with the flour tortillas and it was amazing! My 5 yo got a pancake and they made it look like mickey mouse. He was thrilled!

They have THE BEST HORCHATA weve ever had!! The food was good, the tables and chairs are very, very comfy... Especially if youre a PLUS SIZE patron. The tables move, which makes it easy to get in the booths. Really small and cozy, yet has a full bar. The servers were really sweet. This might be our new hangout place!

Place has a great vibe inside. The service and all the staff are super friendly. Food was super delicious and well garnished, I would say that you should try their seafood soup, quesabirrias, and asada burritos. Also, the drinks were really great their horchata was really top-notch. They have many options if you want beer and drinks. Overall, everything was great in here. For sure Im coming back with my family.

My wife found this place when she went with a group from work. Food was excellent! I had the taco plate three ways and it was very flavorful and fresh. The beans and rice were very good and I think you can tell a lot about how the food is going to be in a Mexican restaurant by the beans and rice. My wife loves the tamales, I am not a tamale fan due to an incident many years ago but I trust my wifes recommendations and I will try them next time. Definitely give this place a try.

Tonights dinner was a joke. It was an adult meal that looked like a kidsmeal doordash order pick up. If I had to measure the serving, I would have to say it was about 3-4 TBLSpoon of rice and beans and the enchilada was a joke. We used to eat here often and hand been a few years and thought we would give it a try again. Not worth the price we paid. I gave it 2 star for the taste. Never again!!

Enjoyed a VERY tasty Breakfast Burrito! Couldnt wait until they opened this morning. Had a craving for a burrito that would not disappoint. Chapala Mexican Restaurant came through. Egg, meat, rice, beans, cheese and hash brown, wrapped in a flour tortilla. Side of hot salsa. Fresh, hot, filling and delicious!I highly recommend this establishment. Very good!

They keep the sodas and water topped off, have great salsa & chips, and friendly staff.Everything about this restaurant is more palatable than the production line corporate Mexican places. Plus you get a cash discount.Its a good place. Try it.

Ambiance customer service is great. The restaurant is decorative and roomy. The food was mediocre beans and cheese dip was lacking almost no flavor and burrito bowl was healthy in portion but not okay. I was expecting the food to taste delicious but it was wane. If you are looking for room ambiance this is the place to go but for delicious food it is not here

This girl cussed me out over me not wanting the soup they served me because it was disgusting. Think twice before you cuss at someone in front of their kids! I also recorded a video. Pathetic!! I have been attending Chapala for the past 10 years and have enjoyed wonderful kind customer service from the waitresses and waiters with no problems. But something has changed for the worse. I think they may have gotten all new staff I have only male waiters. The past two visits the waiter was kind and service was excellent. But yesterday I went with my family for a late lunch and I dont know why but the waiter who was a bit overweight and glared at me and gave me dirty looks and took my order last well let every other restaurant I am asked for my order after my mother and before my sister and my dad goes last. When he took my order he was snotting and looked at me like I was a rotten person and I am not ugly or frightening to look at. I am a very kind person who has been bullied many times. Finally when I asked if he could and peppers to my quesadilla he shamed me and looked at me and talked as if I was placing the most outrageous order. No one ever send it was a problem before over the past 10 years and I truly miss the female waitresses you were always very kind and friendly 2 me. If I behaved the way he did in my job I would be fired instantly for the rotten customer service. Chapala just lost 4 high paying customers because of him.

Chips n salsa were tasty. The jamaica was really good, not too sweet. The chilaquilles were ok, made with mole instead of salsa roja. The food needs just a little more taste because it was lacking salt (beans, chilaquilles). The servers and the hostess were extremely nice and very attentive. Restaurant is clean, lots of color which I absolutely loved.

This is my second time ordering there and both times, the food was a failure. It takes too long when you order your food to get it and its not worth the high prices. The hype is from the fact that this is the only Mexican restaurant around here but the food is horrible.

So I have been eating here for years and always recommend it ; however the last two times I don’t know what’s going on over there ..I ordered from Door Dash about a month ago chicken tacos for pick up and I get home and they are beef and then today I called in order in and ordered three orders of chicken tacos so a total of eight and I get there and they’re all beef and when placing the order I repeated myself and he repeated it back to me obviously they’re not transposing the orders correctly but they’re also costing the restaurant money with incorrect orders like this. I also ordered an enchilada with green sauce and it was so unsavory with the rubbery grilled chicken and the thick heavy sauce I couldn’t eat itI mentioned to the gentleman that took my order that this happened two times in a row not to mention last time I didn’t want to drive all the way back and exchange beef for chicken and today I had to sit there and wait another 30 minutes for them to prepare the correct order I shared my dismay .. I asked could he at least comp me the Aqua Fresca for $5 He said” no “ but they would give me free chips and salsa which I did not think was a fair consolation prize but obviously was not going to turn it down even though the original order from a month ago should’ve been offered to me ?! When I got home chips and salsa wasn’t even in the bag ! He forgot 🙇‍♀️ I will not be eating at this restaurant anymore wondering what happened to the good food and the excellent service of the past maybe I will try again someday But very disappointed in both quality and service. Am I wrong here!?

Had lunch here the other day and we have been here a number of times. To me there are a couple of signature dishes that define Mexican cuisine restaurant skills. The tacos were bland and the Grande burrito was a rice & bean burrito with very little meat. The worst part, or maybe the most telling was the salsa was bland. Very dissapointed! Decaf coffe tasted strange to me, so I asked our server about it. She explained they put cinnamon with the grains, which she should have let me know. I asked for reg coffee, she stated they do the same with it. So, no coffee for me.I began eating the tostada salad, (like a taco salad), with good chicken and fresh lettuce. I dug into it, to find the beans, and it had about half inch liquid at the bottom, with a strange flavor. I asked our server about it. She explained that was the beans broth. At this point, I stopped eating.I will never return to this place. And...I love mexican food.
