From sweet beignet’s to fluffy, juicy chicken sandwiches made off menu. 🤤🤤 this place HAS to be one of Tracy’s best kept secret. Honestly gotta love this friendly environment. Nice and comforting vibe. One of those everyone knows everyone and everyone new is a friend to be. The buffalo chips were crazy tasty and also those tasty tasty corn fritters. Staff was very friendly. Man soo much can be said about this place but I’m on the go but I held back on this review for far too long. A+ Chapter 2 good on you. I’ll be back definitely to try a lot more. Just you wait

They had a temp menu because they were short staffed, but dont be dismayed! I had the turmeric coconut salmon and it was among the best fish Ive ever eaten. We ordered 3 appetizers and 4 dishes between us and aside from rice being barely undercooked, everything was perfect. Great revolving beer selection and the staff was great at answering questions and bringing samples. Ill definitely return next time Im in the area.

Easy 5 stars for me, and my new favorite place in Tracy to eat. The seating is comfortable and well spaced. The Staff was attentive and friendly. The menu was great and had some really nice options. I really thought the Caprese salad and the fried pickles that I had were top notch. The decor is charming and really gives off that family vibe, which was the goal Im sure :)

Was so nice to sit inside such a family friendly restaurant! Started off with ice cold Moscow mules and shrimp scampi, finished with the most amazing caprese salad - fresh pesto, mozzarella and ripe tomatoes made this salad pop; definitely a refreshing meal on a hot day. It was ok, love the service good vibes especially if your hanging out with some good people. I had the bourbon burger 3☆ the wife had sweet spicy saba a chicken burger 4☆ and my son got a noodle dish 3.5☆.

Best restaurant in town. Loving crew!! The dont only care about their regulars they care about everyone who walks through the door. They help the community. Its just a very loving and caring place. Plus the food is always amazing. Drinks are great!

This place is def one for families, friends gatherings and just good Ole fun dinners. I love getting the specials and just telling the wonderful waitresses your pick. (Normally they pick perfectly). Enjoy some laughs, music and or new friendships.

The 6 of us go out every Friday night to various restaurants around Tracy, Manteca, Modesto, etc. for dinner and we finally managed to make it to Chapter 2. Wish we came a lot sooner as this place is great. The food was spectacular, the atmosphere is very friendly and homey, and our server was top notch, very friendly and always had a smile when she came to our table. All of us will definitely come back a lot more often to this cozy little restaurant. I would recommend it to everyone.

Every time I walk in, I enjoy this spot for the warm welcome and the sense of it’s one of a kindness. The pictures on the tables and the decor really let you know your experiencing Tracy for what it has to offer. The staff is amazing and attentive. And last but not least… the food is exactly what comfort food should taste like. It never misses.

I wasnt even aware that Chapter 2 existed until a friend recommended we check it out. So GLAD we did. We had, by far, the best meal weve had in Tracy in ages.Whenever we try out a new place, we generally order more than we need so we can sample the menu. Every single thing we had was excellent.Appetizers:Fried Pickle Chips: The best fried pickles weve ever had. Lightly coated, fried to perfection, and the pickles had a robust dill flavor. Served with sauces, both of which were a good complement. 5/5.Corn fritters with spicy aioli and hot honey Good size, fried nicely, nice flavor. A tad dry in the middle but they tasted great with the sauces and the pepperjack cheese sauce of the next dish we tried. 4/5.Southwest Crispy Waffle Fries, with Pepperjack Cheese Sauce, Tomato, Jalapeno, and Avocado. Simply divine. A perfect dish to start the meal. Technically, we were debating on ordering this, but the hostess threw them in for free since she overheard us talking about them. 5/5.Entrees:2 of us ordered their special of the week: German Brauts with Sauerkraut in a beef broth. The sausage was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The kraut was delicious! This was a wonderful dish. I hope they bring it back again! 5/5The New York steak with chunky red mashed potatoes was delicious! And, kudos to the chef for cooking it to rare perfection. A wonderful menu item. Simply delicious. 5/5The Kentucky Burger had caramelized onions, blue cheese, bacon and a jam whisky served with more waffle cut fries. The burger was awesome, cooked perfectly and the flavors paired perfectly for the palate.5/5All servings were very large and we ate way too much since the food was so delicious! Next time, well likely order less appetizers since the entrees were so generous and delicious.We also tried two desserts: a special bread pudding with caramel sauce and French beignets served with a chocolate sauce. Both were divine and were 5/5.Honestly, our dinner at Chapter 2 on Saturday was one of the best meals weve had in the past year, including those weve had in international locations. This coupled with a fun hostess and amazing staff make this a must-visit restaurant in the Central Valley and Bay Area. I should also point out that the menu on Saturday was labeled temporary due to staff shortages so kudos to the team there for pulling together and making and serving wonderful, tasty food.Oh, they also have a full bar too and their dark latte beer was amazing too. Sadly, we didnt think to take pictures before we started eating!Right now Chapter 2 is only open Wed thru Saturday for dinner. They first opened during the first lockdown so their journey to keep afloat has been arduous to say the least. So glad they are open again. Highly, highly recommended.

Our first time at Chapter 2, and was definitely not disappointed. The food was delicious. We had their corn fritters that were moist and delicious. We also had house salads which were definitely some of the best salads we have had in Tracy. Portion was great and the Ranch and Blue Cheese very tasty. The Sloppy Joe was also delicious. The meat was flavorful and not overpowered by spices. The cheese skirt and bacon complimented it perfectly.Will definitely eat here again. Great job!!!

Warm, welcoming setting and staff. Food was excellent. We had the KY burger and the steak with asparagus. Fried pickles are great too, not over breaded or salted like most places. It’s also really easy to over or undercook asparagus, and they nailed it. Flavors were on point for everything. Solid beer and spirit selection. Service was outstanding. Ken always kills it live on guitar (Thursday). Will return.

Stopped in with my son for a bite to eat for dinner. Not only was I greated by a friendly voice, the food and service was amazing. Definitely a place that cares. We had live music playing and a fabulous meal. I was so excited about this place I forgot to tip Heather. Dont worry, I am coming back and I will definitely take care of Heather. They should get some warmth out on the patio. It was a little cold. I had the Asian salad, so it didnt have a chance to get cold before i ate it. But the husband and daughter had hot food and Im sure it was cold before they were half done.

Fantastic meal tonight!! Chicken picatta was so yummy and filling. Needed to save half because I was so full. Corn fritters were crispy and delicious. Southwest nachos were a tasty twist on nachos. My son enjoyed his steak. Perfectly cooked and tender. My mom had the salmon and enjoyed it. We ordered a kid’s tender meal for our youngest and it was generous in portion. What an amazing jewel in this city. Will be back for sure!!
