Chef Kwans in Menlo Park

We’ve been coming here for 20 years and the food is still great as ever. You can never go wrong with the combo fried rice and garlic chicken! :) Parking isn’t hard to find and the staff are super friendly. Would highly recommend if you’re in Menlo Park.

Decided to go here instead of panda express. The results wasted money and still going to panda express. They gave me soup and when I tried to ask what it was I got told what you order. Not happy the rice was good

Went to Chef Kwan‘s for the first time and ordered vegetable chow mein with cream cheese wontons. Lots of parking near Trader Joe’s in the back. Appropriately socially distanced in the lobby. A few little tables to sit. Specifically asked if the wontons were vegetarian and was told that they have egg, but other than that would be okay. Well, actually, they have crab— which I don’t consider vegetarian. Really big bummer. The noodles were all right, but tasted very black peppery. Probably would not return here, unfortunately.

Try the peking chicken wings, chicken corn soup. Shrimp fried rice and stir fry mixed veggie.

Their internet was down, so it was cash only. The friendly and attentive service was still there though. The food we great. I can recommend the spicy hunan beef.Great service and food combined means Ill be back

After numerous visits this place is consistent with amout of meat you get and amazing taste. Service is also very fast!!! Highly recommended

Take out is prime way to dine here. Almost always have meals ready when indicated. Fresh and flavorful items.

I am writing a review this time because I felt hurt. I love eating at this place. Been coming here even when they changed ownership from su hung to chef kwan. Been coming here since I was a baby. But today when I came to pick up the order that my aunt called for, one of the ladies behind the desk asked me if the order was for me. Had to ask again because she didn’t believe me. She told me it was a large order. And didn’t think it was for me. When she discriminated me like that. I felt really hurt. She should keep her opinions to herself and just be happy that there are any customers, even by now. I don’t understand how she can be a bully. I love eating there delicious Chinese food but if they keep treating customers like this, I will not come back.
