Chef Teriyaki in Hayward

Quick bite hibachi style. Protein with rice or noodles. Also serves 🍣 sushi and milk teas. Salmon teriyaki was good, my dad like the shrimp and mushrooms. They also do big orders for catering on everything. You can eat inside or out small area for either dine in options. Most customers order Togo. Entrance just before the 92 ramp towards Hayward/ Oakland on Hesperian.

Best Asian food in the city. They definitely know how to make a rice. And also they have great service. A couple of weeks ago I made a pickup order one hour before closing. But I wasnt able to pick it up. After the restaurant was closed they made a free delivery to my home. It was 6 miles away. Thank you for customer service.

I was traveling with my daughter and she wanted to get chicken teriyaki. After seeing the good reviews we decided to come here. My daughter got chicken teriyaki & I got shrimp teriyaki with noodles. You do get a lot of food & it is very greasy. My noodles had a bit of too much sauce. It was really cold and drafty inside so wet tried sitting outside but there was only one table right by a busy street. It’s a good place for take out but not sitting in. The restaurant didn’t have a nice ambiance or atmosphere- it is a more order & go place. We wanted a place to sit because we were flying out home so we ended up eating in a car which was a bit messy with all the sauce in my meal.

Horrible, rude. This goofed employee charged an extra three dollars for a lion king roll and gave me some random receipt with just numbers. The Last straw don’t put my money down when I handed it to you. Got a refund . You may think you’re better but you come to stand on your feet for 8 hours plus better would not be working and even better having your money work for you not splitting it up between 13 people…. I’m not others that just hand over my money and get dog like service let alone cheated out of my money that’s what keep this family in the RACE!!!

A little messy presentation but it was delivered via DoorDash. I got the Hawaii Five-O Roll which was really good! I can’t handle too much spice and this was just the right amount. Good price and just the right amount for lunch. Also got the house salad which was tasty!

Ordered the chicken teriyaki bento and they didnt have California rolls inside once I got home. I called and asked why and the lady there said they didnt have it at the time. If I wouldve known or she would have told me at the counter I wouldnt have gotten the bento. I had to drive back to get my California rolls. I was very upset. Due to gas also being high.. but she did give the California rolls.

I have been to this place many times before and was one of my favorite place to get sushi. Specially the lion king roll.Today, I when and order Miso soup, crunch roll, Vegas roll and two lion king roll. My order was to go and when we ate the lion king roll it didnt taste good. At first we thought it was the soy sauce. We looked at the roll and the avocado was black. It was because the avocado that it tasted bad. My other rolls the avocado was green even when the sushi was fry. I called them and ask if the avocado needs to be black the lady said it changes color when we bake it. So I Google bake avocado and saw that even bake the avocado was not black.I was mad since I was a bad old avocado so I took it back to them.

Waited 1 hr after ordering to receive food. They got our order wrong. Teppanyaki is like LL barbecue which I dont have a problem with bc it was still good.All the food here is take out only.

Love this place. We always get the Bento Box with Teriyaki Chicken and Cali Rolls, the Bento Box with Katsu Chicken and Cali rolls. Extra Cali Roll orders and Shrimp Tempura w/veggies. Ive also had their spicy tuna rolls. You cant go wrong with anything you order. Clean place and they are following all CDC guidelines for Covid.

They give huge portions!The best bang for your buck is the chicken teriyaki for $8The Baja California and Crunchy Cali roll is my go to $5 eachThey raised the prices but it’s still a great value and right by campus for a budget friendly bite
