Chef Yangs BBQ in Cupertino

The food quality at this place has gone downhill unfortunately. Used to be our favorite skewer / chuaner place in the entire bay Area but the recent visit left me unimpressed. The mantou was coated with sugar while the beef / lamb skewers lacked flavor and lukewarm.Guo Bao Rou remained solid though.

Worst bbq ever! The food tastes like chewy rubber. Every item tastes the same-same seasoning, same flavor. Veg or non veg. I picked up. They pack veg and non veg all together in one cheap box. No napkins, dips, nothing. Never returning and don’t recommend!

Love the bbq eggplant, squid, toast, bacon enoki. Tempura is great too! 🍆The sweet and sour pork is alright - it wasnt tomato based like I thought

Overall really solid Chinese skewer place! I recommend the chives, beef, and chicken skin skewers.

Asian style skewers that were super delicious. There were also side dishes you can order. The lamb skewer is a must as well as the enoki bacon. Corn was a bit dry. Service was good. They took our order while we waited outside and it wasnt a long wait after we were sat. Be prepared to wait a bit as this place seems super popular.

This chinese bbq place in Cupertino is so bomb 🔥🔥 very authentic, they cook skewers inside and drop on your plate. Goes perfectly with beer.

Firstly, the service at this restaurant was quite slow; we waited for 39 minutes without receiving our dishes. Additionally, I’m concerned about the cleanliness. The floor was dirty, and there were flies constantly buzzing around

Lamb skewer are awesome! Overall the BBQ sauce and cunmin are good, which made everything tasty. However, the service is somewhat slow, we waited for almost half an hour until first dish is ready.

The food was OK, but the waitress just asked for 15% minimum tips directly. When I asked if 15% was required, she explained that given everything was so expensive these days, 15% was not a lot. It is true that 15% is not too much to ask, but it should be based on the service they provide and it should not be decided by her. And TBH there was not much service provided - orders are submitted online and they just take your food from kitchen to your table. This is not a respectful way to treat your customers.

Well, their practice make me concern their food hygiene. They took food back from our plate (we have used) and alleged they provided more than we order(actually not). I will assume they will give the food we touched to other customers. Be carefully everyone!
