Food was good however, service was not. Our server was painfully slow and it was not busy. Dine in was definitely not worth the price because of the service & the food is not enough to justify for the smaller size servings served on each plate. Party of 4 and one of those entrées was a side dish. Do not recommend the Roti dessert. Its like a fried flour tortilla with cinnamon+sugar+chocolate drizzle. It was a basic dessert and wish to have tried something better for a dessert.

The food here was incredibly impressive! The server was so kind considering we had a huge party who were a bit demanding. 😅I got the Mongolian Chicken and it was spicy, fresh, and delicious!My husband had the glass noodles and he said it was amazing!The food is incredibly tasty and came out so fast!! Clean, beautiful location with a friendly staff. What more could you want?

Nice place & clean, hostess, bus-boy and server (Bethany) pleasant and with good customer service skills.Thai Crab cakes ($17) nothing but a cake of panko breading with a yellow/orangish paste inside, definitely no Crab meat at all, mentioned to Beth the server and she just brushed it off, I also asked if any of the fish was from fresh she said all was frozen, inquired about the Chilean Sea Bass ($45) she said it was breaded and fried my response, what a horrible thing to do to such fish, desired to order the Prime Rib-Eye Steak ($45) menu listed as a fresh carved, it was not prime grade quality in fact not on the top 8 steak grade quality rating it was mostly just fat, rest of the family ordered noodle dinners that were tasteless, bland no spice. Over all food is mediocre, poorly prepared, and pricey for the quality.

So glad this local restaurant came closer to the more modern side of the town; particularly Marketplace.The variety is very well designed. Always something for everyone we take it to there. Beautiful cocktail menu and beer selection. But the food is always fast and very delicious no matter what you choose.

Working in the Marketplace and had to break for lunch so I wound up here. Nice little spot. Having had won ton soup a bazillion times, I wanted to see how good this was. The egg noodles were on point and good. A little too much whatever the green vegetable is, half wouldve been better. The bbq pork and won tons were not tasty at all in my opinion. Mine are WAY better. Heather was my server and she was wonderful. She made sure to refill my beverage and was prompt and polite.

Great place for a date or authentic recipes .Drunken noodles and red rice delicious.Only wish it was less sweet was a tad bit too sweet i would have rather had more heat and a bit of sweetness to balance out.But the dish was perfect. Loved the textures and freshness in the ingredient.

Had our office Christmas dinner here a few nights ago. Food was really good (too busy talking for food pictures, but dessert was too pretty, not too lol) but it was really good, have to try their Strawberry Lemondrops sooo good!!! Our server was pleasant and helpful answered all our questions about food and drinks and our food came surprisingly quick! The atmosphere is nice, open spaces, nice big bar area, open patio with heaters. Will definitely come again!

Wonderfully decorated. Great looking place. Would be fine for a romantic dinner or a fun meal at an active bar.Our server was nice,bright and fast.We were looking for something a little more flavorful but was discouraged after ordering appetizer to hear that the thai food here was altered to the local taste buds.We left,cancelled our main course order and will have continue our search for great flavor here in Bakersfield.

2nd time coming here for business lunch. Place was not crowded both times for lunch. Atmosphere was calm and cool. Has a trendy vibe to the place. Service has been great and the servers weve had really pay attention and theyve all been friendly. Food is tasty! Ive had their pho and their duck plate and my husband has had their drunken noodles and chicken fried rice. Price is good for what youre getting. So far, everything has been great! They have outdoor and indoor seating. Cleanliness is on par👌 Bathrooms were clean and kept up. Wed go again!

Ive been to Chefs Choice a few times in the past couple of years. The food is reliable, but not terribly exciting, and quite overpriced, especially compared to similar restaurants in Southern California. Yesterday, I decided to try the chicken satay ($13.50 for large order, with 4 pieces of chicken), since Ive been trying to eat fewer carbs. Chicken tenders were used, but they didnt seem like they were the freshest, as the meat fell apart quite easily. The meat was also dry and not at all juicy. They were supposedly marinated in coconut milk, curry paste, and cumin, but were pretty bland. I initially thought the peanut sauce had a weird texture, but since the chicken was so dry, I ended up using most of the sauce. The chicken was served with Texas toast (strange choice for an Asian restaurant), as well as pickled jalapeno/cucumber/red onion, which ended up being the best part of the dish (although it was described as a salad, Im not sure what kind of salad is served swimming in brine).Chefs Choice is somewhere I go if friends want to go, or if someone else is paying, but it is not a restaurant I seek out on my own time/money.

Mango chicken with coconut rice and vegetables from Chefs Choice Noodle BAR this is a mew dish from the menu and I highly recommend it. Just the perfect amount of sweetness to the mango sauce and coconut rice but not overpowering. Excellent eats. My husband and I shared it and there was some still left over.

My lady and I finally had a date night on Sunday. First day in a long time without any kiddos. We ate here and the food was amazing. It wasn’t very busy at all and the service was really good. Totally recommend this establishment. Highly recommend The Drunkin noodles. Delicious. A little pricey but hey what isn’t expensive anymore? You can’t eat at Taco Bell for less than 20 bucks anymore

If you’ve been to Thailand probably avoid this place. Lovely atmosphere and clean but had the worst Thai Basil ever. It arrived at the table “warm” and was obviously prepared by someone who doesn’t know how to prepare it properly. I would call this place the Denny’s of Thai cuisine. Bland, way too sweet, sauce not caramelized at all which completely ruins the dish’s taste. Told the waitstaff I’d been to Thailand seven times and I like the dish very spicy. So I get the “you can’t return the dish if it’s too spicy” speech and it wasn’t spicy at all. The biggest red flag is this establishment had no fresh Thai chilis. That’s a “sign” folks. Just green and red peppers. Waitstaff left our dirty plates on the table until just before bringing the bill. I’m guessing some of the dishes must be decent or they wouldn’t have been busy. Just definitely not for those who know how Thai food should taste. I’ve taken Thai cooking classes twice in Thailand and I know how to prepare Thai basil perfectly. This place was a clear reminder to me of why I avoid dining out. I would have called the manager over but didn’t want to embarrass the family member who was “treating” me to this dinner.

Came here for the first time a few days ago. Decided to try the Ramen. The broth was fantastic, the noodles were spot on, and they used big chunks of bamboo shoots rather than those slivers. It was perfect except for one thing. The pork chasu was not tender at all like it is normally served in ramen. They were chewy and the fat had all rendered from the meat. If you want great noodles and a nice environment check it out.

I ordered here only through uber eats and didnt have issues. The food was always good when I got the delivery. I decided to try this place out in person and i would think the food would be even better but it was the opposite! Food was mediocre and lacked flavor when dining in. The service was mediocre as well. We told the server we didnt like the food and she just brushed it off and left us. Even though we didnt finish our food we just paid our bill and left. My thoughts when eating at a restaurant would be that the server could have asked the manager to go to our table and check to see why the food wasnt good. But nothing happened! The catfish was dry and the duck was very dry as well! I was not happy so I will not be ordering here again.

Menu claims the Larb Salad had a choice of steak, but it came as a pile of bland ground hamburger beef in a bowl next to four leaves of romain (for $17). Disappointing. I never been to this new location and always went to the downtown location, but since they moved my friends and I decided to grab lunch. The waitress made us feel so uncomfortable with her coughing all over and not bothering to wash her hands. She looked sick and would lean against the backs of our chairs/table. Eventually, we ordered drinks and an appetizer but the whole time she was rushing us. My friends and I decided to pay and get the hell out of there. I’m just disappointed in the way we were treated and our overall experience. We didn’t feel welcomed and was very unpleasant.

The location is wonderful and the seating makes for a great date night and the food is plates beautifully. Their staff is also very kind. This is more of a date night place rather than a bring the kids kind of place. However thats not to say they dont accommodate for the children that do come. The food is also splendid if you come by I recommend ordering the Mango chicken plate it has coconut rice and that rice is to die for its so good. I also recommend pairing that coconut rice with their curries! Its a perfect blend of sweet and spicy

A few weeks ago I visited this restaurant with my two college aged daughters. We had been told that this was very good Thai food, and because we love Thai food and are new to town we were excited to try it. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very upscale, it was very busy and there was a line to get in. Service was fine, nothing special but not bad. We ordered Thai teas,drunken noodle. Yellow curry chicken, and I think Chuchee seafood. We were not impressed with the food. It didn’t have depth of flavor, the seasoning was not good. For example, in the yellow curry all that could be tasted was turmeric. We didn’t eat half of our meals and didn’t bother to take the leftovers because we knew none of us would eat them. I’d be hesitant to try this restaurant again.

Food was tasty but there was a lot of missing details that could have made the experience even better. The meal was very well prepared and well seasoned but could have been hotter. It was beginning to get cold when I was served. Some of the staff were very friendly and nice. However, there was one in particular that was a bit pushy and had a rude demeanor. I also disliked that they didnt offer to refill my water during a hot day or didnt provide me with napkins when first served. Lastly, they need to be more preventative about flies entering the building. It really kills the mood having to swat during your meal. Overall, if they work on these details I feel like it will be a really great dining experience.

You know I used to consider this restaurant to be the best in town but ever since they moved to a new location the food went downhill. My favorite dish was the orange chicken and rice but I recently placed an order at the new location and the flavor was not what it used to be. The orange chicken was dry and tasted like it was reheated in the microwave and the rice was too salty and dry! Not only was the food bad but it was overpriced. Im only going to give 2 stars because the Thai tea is still good.

I have been to the noodle house many times when they were in downtown Bakersfield. Got take out from the new location. Very disappointed. Vegetarian so ordered tofu with everything. We had pre planned reservations for a party of five people days in advance, and have dined here many times before. The service and food has always been great. However this evening we were seated close to the open doors in the bar, it was only 60 degrees outside. Service was great. Prior to our Grandparents arriving, we asked to be moved or if the doors could be closed since it was obviously not a great temperature to be dining in. We asked our server to be moved indoors or if the doors could be closed, she told us the manager of the evening (Heather) would not accommodate our situation. Considering our elderly Grandparents would not enjoy eating at an outdoor temperature, we changed our plans and went to Tahoe Joes. Thanks for the service, but if we wanted to eat in the parking lot we would have. We will be back again, but hopefully we will be indoors. Thanks Heather for understanding our situation.

This place is amazing. The food is outstanding with great flavor. Their Thia Boat is amazing with just the right amount of savory/spicy flavor. In most noodle soups I dislike the meatballs but in this dish they complement it well. Another dish that is great is the Drunken noodle on the spicy side but again just great flavor. Now the important part to me is the servers and staff. The staff is amazing with their kindness and you will never go long period of time without someone checking on you. The staff is what I would call on top of their you know what. The owner is amazing and when in the restaurant will always greet you with a smile. All In all Great Food and even Greater People.

Went here for dinner last night, tried the drunken noodles because everything on the menu looked good and the waiter said that was his most popular dish. Unfortunately that was the worst thing I’ve ever tried. No flavor and the noodles were very rubbery. He noticed we ate none of it and thankfully took the plate back and we ordered something else which was okay. Not all what it seems to be and the waiter himself I wasn’t too sure about, not sure if I would go back.

This place is delicious and has an awesome ambiance. I come here a lot for dinner and lunch and it never disappoints. Its located downtown so it can get pretty busy at lunch but its totally worth the wait. The people that own it are nice and run a great business. The Pad Thai is the best in town and that is usually my go to.

Decided to give this place a try since I was having a craving for noodles.The interior of the restaurant is nice and relaxing. There is enough light to enjoy your meal, but not too much as to make the atmosphere unpleasant.The prices are straightforward, including tax on the menu, so what you see is what you pay.The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My water glass never say empty for long.I decided on the Drunken Noodles with beef. It had a perfect balance of heat from the spices and mint from the basil.I decided to get the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert, but it was a little disappointing. The rice was nice and sweet, but it was served with butter on it, which meant it feel apart when you tried to scoop it up. The Mango wasnt very ripe either, and didnt have a lot of flavor to it. It also has a mushy texture to it.All in all, I was pleasantly satisfied with my meal, and will definitely have to try this place again.

The food and service were A+ and I would have given 5 stars but my spicy basil pork tasted like ground beef instead.I came at the lunch hour and it was crowded but being solo, I was seated within a few minutes. Everything on the menu is great. Service at take out to for to-go orders is lightning quick. Dining in is fairly quick as well, but some dishes take longer to prepare than others. Ive taken most of my best friends here and they all are extremely happy. This restaurant specializes in ethnic Thai food rather than traditional, but there are some traditional dishes available.

We had been hearing about how good this place is but had not made the effort to go. That was a mistake. It is excellent. The menu offers an array of great choices and the servers know them well - put yourself in their hands and let them lead you to some recommendations. We trusted their guidance and will do so again. This was my first time eating here. And this review is based solely on the food since I did not dine in. So I can’t include service. I Ordered for delivery and Paid 22 dollars for the khao soi with slices of prime rib. Gave me a very small amount of noodles, that were also over cooked, and too soft. The prime rib was also very dry, over cooked and chewy. The curry sauce that the prime rib was soaked in was okay, but was mediocre. Could have gotten a better curry for cheaper. Also got a side of the steamed pork dumplings which were very good. And they gave me a side of fried won ton crisps which were good, until I dipped them in the horrible sauce that came with them. All in all, the only thing that really stopped me from giving a 1 star rating, was the pork dumplings, and the curry sauce wasn’t bad. Not worth the price for the criminally small amount of over cooked noodles, dried, overcooked prime rib, and mediocre sauce. Maybe their other stuff is better? But this just wasn’t worth it.

Lots of different choices on the menu including soups, noodle dishes and stir fry. We had pad Thai, which was excellent and pho, also very good. Service was excellent and very friendly. The place was busy on a Friday night but we were seated immediately at about 6:30 pm. We were surprised to see that they now serve alcohol, which isnt on their website. Wine pours were generous and a variety of specialty cocktails are available.

This place is absolutely delicious. Ive never had a bad meal. The spicy fried rice is my favorite and I go there for it on a craving often. They also make several amazing drinks. The Karma Kiss is my go to there. The Thai-tini is also fantastic. Cant beat something that tastes just like Thai tea, but with alcohol!! Lastly, service is always on point. I called to get a reservation for Valentines Day for date night with my wife, the customer service was fantastic. We enjoyed the Saphire dining room and menu which consisted of a truly wonderful assortment of food. Love this place. However our last two experiences ordering the Tom Yum noodle soup was less than to be desired. So surprising because that soup wa outstanding. The flavor is missing something. I think it had ground chicken in it before. now it’s chunks of chicken and minimal amounts of peanuts. I got the Yakisoba Noddles and my wife got Jungle Curry. Also Crab Cakes which was not crab meat not sure what but Differently not Crab. I came here to eat with two friends and as a whole it was overpriced, poorly cooked, and simply not a satisfying meal. My meal was the chow mein minus scallions and the carrots were tough and barely cooked. One person got the Pho which was mostly bean sprouts with a little bit of meat and noodles with no beef tongue, tripe, or anything else usually found in the meal. The other person received the glass noodles which was overcooked entirely, the noodles chewy, the meat akin to cardboard.The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful with our waitress taking off the overcooked meal and the manager Heather, after we came to understand how poorly made the meal was, giving us a full refund and taking our criticism of the meal. Today, for instance, I waited for someone to seat my party for about 3-5 minutes (during which time no one who worked here even approached us). There is a very good selection of dishes without having too large of a menu. The pho is my personal favorite from what I have tried sooooo far. A tad expensive but definitely worth it.

A neat little place trhat from the outside looks as if it might not be open, and really small. Once you walk in, its a pleasant surprise and a nice environment. The food was quite good and the staff very nice.

This is a great restaurant my favorites unfortunately this Mothers Day Sunday branch it was horrible we had a one-year baby and we get charge $18 for for the baby $35 adults and the food was somting so different really dont know how to rate it this time it was my favorite from now on I dont know what to say I just feel that we pay too much for nothing we had a party of 12 and everyone was unhappy Its a greate Restaurant I just wish they didnt change there Brunch !!!!!!

A Pan-Asian noodle house that large range of different dishes ranging from Pad Thai to Ramen and Pho. Items are constantly added to the menu to keep it from getting stale and the Chefs specials can match that of more upscale restaurants. There is a decent selection of beer, wine, and sake. The large amount of gluten-free options is a major selling point of Chefs Choice for those who have Celiacs.

This place is trying to be many places and many things. There are Asian varieties from all over the globe. I had the vegetable ramen bowl. Portion was huge. It was actually more flavorful the next day.

Enjoyed the Thai Boat. Tender beef, gentle placed on top of noodles of your choice (I choose glass noodles). Spicy, with enough of a kick to drink water to ease the burning sensation.
