The Honey Walnut Chicken is soggy and greasy; I didnt think Id be one to send back food, but I got the Mongolian Beef instead.Credit to the Beef: it has the taste and texture more like beef liver than actual beef, and thats actually more expensive than beef at restaurants. Its still not something I enjoy, but Im bringing it home for sad leftovers. The waitress is honestly the most clueless woman I ever got served. Kept asking me exactly what I wanted, but at least confirmed the price with me.For 5 extra dollars, you can get strangely unpleasant steamed rice and decent hot and sour soup with really soggy wontons and an egg roll I left alone.I think the restaurant caters to people who dont know any better. You can get better value at a Panda Express.Edit: Even the obligatory fortune cookie tasted stale and soggy.Edit 2: I have sudden cramps and feel like my stomach is churning. Wont outright say its food poisoning, but it definitely feels like it. Lowered it to one star.

The service and atmosphere of the dining area is exceptional 🤙🤙🤙💎I really like the dragon decor, wondering if they are related to the world famous Chens, which was the cradle of the origin of TaiChi Chuan. 🤙🤙🤙Right after WuDang Mountain.Again, service is very fast and excellent 💎However, food a bit too salty and a little soupy. But, eggdrop soup was excellent 😋😋😋Will most definitely be returning, however can be improved.

Good Chinese food. Parking on the road there is a dedicated lot nearby. Ambiance is good but there is typical musky smell not overpowering. Food portions are big so order carefully. BBQ steak was super, sesame chicken was too sweet and broccoli too big. Chicken fried rice, kungpoa shrimp were delicious. Steamed dumplings was very dry not great. Overall a good Chinese restaurant in downtown Long Beach

Best veggie fried rice I’ve had in years ! the container was so full it wouldn’t even close. The rice was freshly made and so delicious, sometimes fried rice doesn’t have a lot of flavor to it but not this one. Very nice ambiance inside and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I loved my lunch.

Honey Walnut Shrimp!!!The best I have tasted, not at all fishy. They are served on top of crispy thin Chips and a side of fried or white rice. I think it is $16. Definitely enough to share between 3 people. Restaurant looked cleaned, I dined in at 5:10 pm and there was no wait. They have alot of to go orders.I will return.

Arrive with an empty stomach! The portions are massive, the flavors are decadent, and is the perfect place to bring friends. Highly recommend the spicy salt and pepper shrimp. This is also a staple of the community.

My sister introduced my husband and I to this restaurant a few years ago, and we continue to come back. Its a authentic family style Chinese Restaurant with something for everyone. Everything we have tried thus far hasnt disappointed us. From the Appetizers like fried wontons, fried shrimp and paper wrapped chicken to the Main dishes like the classic Orange Chicken, or the always delicious Chicken with Fresh String Beans. One of our other favorites are the Orange Shrimps and the Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp. They also have a variety of flavorful soups to add to your meal. Our son even tried the Strawberry Smoothie and gave it 👍👍. So overall this is a Restaurant that once you try it, you will keep coming back.

I ordered here because the reviews had so many pictures of the food that just looked so fresh and appetizing. My food was old. The rice was old and dry. The meat was grey and chewy. Didnt even taste like chicken. More like some chewy plastic. Waste of 13$.

We ordered take out. Everything about the meal was disappointing. All the dishes were over cooked with no flavor. We decided to try their food based on the reviews we read. Our meal didnt come close to the review we read. Not taking anything away from Panda Express but their food is far superior to Chens.

Not great. My food was way too salty and it came out extremely fast. Which made me wonder how fresh it was. The color looked off as well. This used to be my go to Chinese restaurant when the original owner was alive but I would say it’s now a permanent pass. However others were in there and they where happy so different tastes for different people.
