Located in a.strip mall, behind a car dealer. This place has lots of free parking. Limited indoor seating with no outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bistek was delcious.

If you want to satisfy your filipino cravings with authentic filipino food definitely go to Chibog. It is a small restaurant to come here ealy on weekends or be prepared to wait in line. We went on a weekend and it was raining we ordered : kare-kare ( which was BOMB), Sinigang na liempo also delicious, pork sisig (not a fan of it coz it was kinda dry) and palabok which is also very delicious. We also oredered liempo but i am glad they forgot about it because the servings were huge and we have to take some home 😆 we ordered way too many

Came on a Sunday for late lunch. My partner and I love this place. We waited about 20 mins to be seated because it is a small space and it was pretty busy.We ordered :- Pork Sinigang- Beef Short Rib Sinigang- Sizzling Pork Sisig- Longanisa Silog- 2 orders of RiceThis was a lot of food for 2 people. But we like to bring some leftovers home and warm it up later at night for dinner. They provide nice and sturdy containers for soup.One thing that I love about this restaurant is how they serve the food. They present the sinigang in a big bowl with a ladle. They also provide small bowls to pour the soup and to share the soup also.Naturally the food is always so good and the servers are all around pleasant. They checkin on you every once in a while to see if everything is okay.I highly recommend this place for perhaps a lunch date or just lunch with friends. Most of the items are served in sharing bowls and plates. It’s a great atmosphere. There is also lots of parking in the lot.

Finding a good Filipino restaurant isnt as common as youd hope in the bay area and this spot is a gem. The food was absolutely delicious and the service staff friendly. The restaurant is small so if you want to eat there Id recommend getting there a little early. Its worth the wait though!

When in Daly City, one must find good Filipino food. That should be an axiom for Bay area living.So I found myself at this spot. I was quite thrilled with the experience. Lots of places serve mom and pop Filipino food, but this place was legit.I had to go with the lechon, mostly because it had been a long time. But also it wasnt too fatty. Yeah there was some fat. Its lechon after all. But they served it with eggs and the sauce and all the fixins. What I really wanted was Sisig, but they didnt have it as a lunch plate. Gives me excuse to come back.Anyway, the lechon comes out hot and crispy, in nice bite size pieces. For me the eggs were a little overcooked as I like them medium to run on the rice. But I didnt specify that, so thats my bad. I asked for some banana sauce, and thoroughly enjoyed.They also had calamansi which is sometimes hard to get. That was an added bonus for my perspective. They had what I wanted, and what a good Filipino restaurant should have.Kudos. Ill go again. BTW there was enough for take home. Basically I got two meals from it. Im down with that.

Tasty Filipino food with a handful of options for meat, veggie, or/and seafood lovers. Friendly service. definitely going back to try more! We did a two dish combo of chicken adobo and bbq pork with garlic rice and chicken rice noodle soup. 4 piece side of lumpia and pancit. All was delicious!

Fantastic Filipino food, easily satisfies your craving for Sisig or Lechon or Kare Kare or Pancit... All of them are recommend must try. If you have to select only one, do the combo sisig with garlic rice on the side. The garlic rice is so wholesome and balances the flavor of the meaty dishes. Will visit again!

This is the second time Ive been here. The food is really good. The price is reasonable for the amount and taste. The desserts were pretty good. The sisig is still salty and flavorful. The rice was reasonably priced.the bbq is pretty tender. The pork belly meat was really soft and the skin was nice and crunchy.

Found this spot by accident because we were supposed to go to another spot but the wait time to be seated was long.Regardless, the food was surprisingly great! We ordered sizzling pork sisig and Tocilog (tocino, sinangag (garlic fried rice), and itlog (2 eggs)). I was pleasantly surprised by how well the sisig was crisped up. I do believe they used their lechon kawali and dressed it for sisig. The entree was porky, oily, and super savory. It was balanced because it had enough tanginess prior to putting lemon juice all over.Their portions are huge!!! Id say its 2-3 people per entree depending how hungry everyone is.The Tocilog was great but the star was the tocino. It tasted like a Filipino bbq. Not too sweet like most tocino.The staff were attentive and very helpful. If I was a local, Id keep coming and order a catering size of the sisig! They got a vegetarian version: Tofu sisig!

I definitely recommend this place for Filipino food. Had the combo sisig, laing and a bowl of garlic rice. The portions were appropriate, the servers were attentive and nice. Lastly, the price was reasonable. The food wasnt greasy at all and the flavors were spot on, reminded me of being home in the Philippines. Would love to see more vegetarian options, sago gulaman drinks and for the sisig have different levels of spicyness. Overall, I am coming back for the pinakbet and lumpia shanghai.

I went here mid-day and I was in a food coma for the rest of the day. I love the lechon kawali!!! It was hot, juicy, and crispy!!! The ribs were good too but I rest enjoyed the lechon with garlic rice. I will come back just for that! The service was good and understanding that I needed a lot of Mang Tomas sauce lol!

I visited Chibog with my family for lunch and we were very impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant is cozy and clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. We ordered the lechon kawali silog plate, the sizzling sisig, the lumpia shanghai, and the green beans and squash. Everything was delicious and satisfying, especially the lechon kawali, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sisig was spicy and flavorful, and the lumpia was crunchy and well-seasoned. The green beans and squash added some freshness and color to our meal. The portions were generous and we had enough leftovers for another meal. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. We will definitely come back to Chibog and try more dishes from their menu. Chibog is a great place to enjoy authentic Filipino comfort food in Daly City.

Get ready to eat pork on pork with pork! I love this place.Its kind of like a hidden gem because its hidden from the main street. But once youve found it, youre in luck for a good food coma afterwards.Order the chicharron bulaklak (its so bad, but so good) and of course the sizzling sisig! We ordered the green beans & squash (we wanted some veggies) and that was good too. And do yourself a favor and always order the garlic rice.Order anything with the pig sign next to it and you cant go wrong.

ISO a decent Filipino dining experience in San FranciscoCame across Chibog (Filipino street lingo for eat or dine). About a 15-20 minute wait. Pleasantly amazed at the generous size of portions. We ordered the crispy fried chicken, crispy pata (fried pork leg), vegetable chop suey and pancit palabok (Filipino noodle dish). Food was served in a short amount of time compared to many dine in places. Well cooked, presentation is okay (Filipino food is geared more toward taste over looks). Enjoyed the chop suey. We went for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy. We got tocino pork silog and lechon kawali silog. The tocino was delicious, not too sweet but tender. The reviews are great for the lechon, but mine was dry/overcooked, so I took 1 star off. The eggs for the lechon were also well done, no runniness.

First off, their food is ok, but worth the price. It’s way to expensive for the portions they’re giving you. Secondly, terrible stuff With really a bad attitude. I did ordered to go ( take out). I was paying with my card, the credit card processor was asking for so many percentage for tips. I did skip the tip part. The person who was handing me the food, saw no tips. He really got so angry with a very bad attitude said here food Sir. Almost throwing the food at me. I was thinking, dude, You just handed me the take out food, it’s not like you were serving me at the table. Why should I pay tip?So, cut the story short, we stop going there for good. Ive been to Chibog many, many times, but havent gotten around to reviewing yet! So here goes! Being Filipina myself, I come here to get some Filipino food that reminds me of my mamas home cookin, and also indulge in some of the more comforting dishes that I wouldnt have too often growing up. (The fam had high cholesterol and high blood pressure, yknow how that goes.)Anyways, the foods Ive gotten and enjoyed so far:- Classic Kare-Kare (5/5, thicc peanut butter oxtail stew) have it with the bagoong, trust. Its a must.- Combo Sisig (5/5, best sizzlin in person) so flavorful. Love the mix cause you get some crispy bits too.- Silog plates: Lechon Kawali, Tocino- Sinigang (4/5, was a bit too sour for me? Everyone has diff preferences though)- Bangus Sisig (4/5, havent had this anywhere else so thought it was unique, but I would stick with the meaty version if you eat meat. Nice to have as an option though. I would prefer to eat the Bangus in the silog.)Servings are generous so depending on your appetite, youll likely have leftovers for days!The folks there are always friendly too, and havent had to wait in the times we have gone. The food was great, The Lechon reminds me of my grandma’s, the garlic rice was nice, the adobo pork was a little dry I also didn’t care for the sauce. IMO it needs more vinegar, but that’s personal preference. The only reason I give it a 4/5 was the waiter, he was short with us and got frustrated when we didn’t understand what he said, it would help if he said the full name of the dish and not just part. Also they brought out the wrong dish and he gave my buddy mad attitude when he said it’s not what he ordered then got upset and went back to the kitchen to get the correct order. I get y’all are busy and had a ton of orders but let’s not take it out on the customers, we didn’t give any attitude or whatever we’re were just confused because none of ordered it. Otherwise the restaurant was pretty solid. The door man was a rockstar though really nice and polite!

This place is literally a hidden gem. I didnt realize there were so many businesses tucked away in this area. We found this place on Yelp and Im glad we came.There was a small wait but it was worth it. After seeing so many people eating here and waiting, I was relieved because there arent a lot of good Filipino places despite the large community in this area. We were on quarantine due to covid19. We order karekare (beef is hard and dry tasted nasty) and bulalo. This restaurant has contract with doordash for delivery. DD driver picked up my ordered sealed and with receipts. When i opened my order i got 2 karekare instead. We called the restaurant and explained the situation. They agreed to refund my CC. Waited 2 days nothing was done. Called them and now their saying they will not refund and to get the refund from doordash.Not DD DRIVER fault that they put wrong order. Very unprofessional manager running this business. Rude when we were talking over the phone.Will never order from this nasty place.

This was my first time at a Filipino restaurant and I gotta say... The pork spring rolls and BBQ pork (or chicken) are worth a trip to Daly City. It was a happy moment when I realized you could order the Filipino spring rolls from my childhood at a restaurant. As the yelp reviews said, its a lot of food. They also have avocado ice cream (not as weird as it sounds, I swear). Definitely worth checking out. Definitely coming back again!

One of the best Karen kare! The sauce (or is it broth?) just have the right amount of thickness; not watery but not too thick. Comparable to home cooked meal. Good portions on all the entrees we ordered. The milkfish sisig is also tasty. Food arrived at the table at a reasonable amount of time. I would give this place a 5 star if we didnt have to wait 35 minutes to get seated. There was a big group taking up half of the tables. But I cant blame the place for being popular because they serve good food with good portions for a reasonable price.

The only complain I have is, on a hot weather this place has no air condition, no fan, and no windows.Basically HOT inside. But since the food is great, I still come down. Had a catering order of 100 shanghai lumpias for a last minute party. Chibog was able to accommodate the order 2 days before the party. They informed us with a phone call once the order was ready and we were already on our way. Service was great and super friendly and the lumpias were incredibly tasty. Not that much authentic Filipino Food. Most of the dishes are fusion of american and filipino taste or it evolves from the authentic filipino palate to satisfy the filipino-americans in the bay area. None in the bay area so far serve an authentic sisig.. they just plate a liempo cut it in small pieces and put it in sizzling plate and call it sisig.. they do the same with the inihaw na liempo.. you won’t find the sweet sour taste of real liempo but just a piece of meat salted and peppered. Sorry guys. Staff were nice though.

This place opened up in the old Sinugba spot. I say its pretty good, they give you a large bowl of rice with your silogs and 2 eggs (always a plus). Their crispy pata was crispy, moist, and fatty goodness.... definitely cant go wrong with it. We also tried their BBQ chicken silog (spicy sweet charred goodness), and diniguan (so my sister could try it). Shes a fan, I wish there was more pig parts in there but I cant complain it was tasty. Kare-kare was bland and overcooked. Will come back to try the other dishes and order lechon kawali again. So my brother Jim, brings my LW, myself, and my other brother here. First time for us, and being in the South City area, and nearby Daly City, there are more than a few Filipino restaurants to choose from. So this place must be good if we end up here right? My old man (RIP) always contended that whatever ethnic restaurant you might visit, look in and if the place isnt filled with that particular ethnicity, Run, quickly. But seriously, there was a healthy majority of Pinoys there and a good mix all enjoying the fare. So, on to the actual food. Since I compare every Filipino restaurant cooking to my Lola, my Mom, and all my Aunts, they are at a slight disadvantage. We tried the standards, chicken adobo, calderreta, Sinigang, Machado, and longanisa. All were very good, tasted as they should, especially the Sinigang. Will I go back? OH YES, still have tho try their pinakbet, kare kare, and dinaguan.

Nonetheless, everything I ordered was delicious and I will definitely go back.Definitely get the sisig. Its only like $12.95 and comes in a humongous portion. Its even great as leftovers and microwaved. I also tried the beef calderata (sp?) silog. Thats a great deal if you just want one huge portion for yourself instead of for 3 people. Despite being filipino, I dont go to Daly City much and I dont eat filipino food that often - but when I have a hankering for filipino food in Daly City, this is the place I go. My go-to at Chibog (and, admittedly, at most filipino restaurants) is pork adobo and lumpia if I have someone else to share the food with. The last time I went here, I was with my family and was able to order more - sizzling sisig, pancit palabok, sweet spaghetti, rice... hmm, I think thats it. Although the food here will never be the same as my moms cooking (thats the unspoken rule, right? ;) ), it definitely hits the spot and Im already looking forward to my next visit.

This place is a little hard to find but have faith in you GPS. Just follow the GPS path and you will get there. My wife and I shared an order of Pancit and Lumpia Shanghai.The Lumpia came in a 20 piece-order. Each is about 2 inch in length. It tasted delicious, just the right saltiness and right amount of stuffing, a perfect finger food and a perfect pairing with the pancit.We like the Lumpia Shanghai so much. With the help of Elizabeth, the restaurant cashier, we ordered a party tray of 100 for our Saturday party. It was one of the first plates to be gone. The kids at the party loved it too.
