Love this place. It’s Vietnamese fusion kind of thing but surprisingly yummy. I had the pho with 5 spiced chicken. They have a nice size of fresh chicken on the side. For $17 it’s a great deal. Nice friendly staff as well.

This queen has some piping hot tea to spill about a casual little eatery called Chic n Time that is going to completely gag you with how fabulous it is.I sashayed in there just expecting a basic little counter situation to grab a quick bite, but they read me for filth with the quality of their food offerings. Who knew this unassuming spot was hiding such fierce culinary talents, am I right?We started with these peppercorn chicken wings that instantly vogued their way into my heart. That crispy exterior was construction realness, while the inside was dripping in juicy, well-seasoned flavor with just the right amount of peppery zing. These wings have all the fancy places shook, trust.Then came the popcorn chicken which was practically a religious experience, ladies. Each delicate little morsel was swaddled in the most delicate yet crunchy shell that opened up to tender, savory chicken goodness inside. I literally could not stop devouring them - they were that divalicious!To help extinguish the fire, we gulped down one of their signature bubble teas and it was absolutely everythiiiiing. The creaminess and refreshing notes were living in such harmonious unity without being too sweet and desperate for attention. The balance? Perfection!Even though Chic n Time is giving very casual vibes with the counter setup, the food quality is truly top tier and ready for the runway. Theyre elevating grab-and-go to a whole other level up in there.And can we take a moment for the vibe? I live for these laidback, fuss-free hangouts where you can just strut in and get what you need without the pageantry and drama. People often commend this place for its amazing Vietnamese dishes but I want to bring particular attention to the Taiwanese dishes they also serve - mainly the Taiwan popcorn chicken, the fried tofu (breaded in tapioca starch). The food tasted close to authentic - I lived in Taipei for a while and everything they used from the spices to the seasoning felt spot-on. The owner was very friendly and chatted with us a bit and made us feel welcome to dine at his wonderful restaurant. I will return!

From a sunny day late afternoon lunch or a rainy day pick me up, I feel like this place is the best option anytime for a savory chicken oriented meal. Service is world class, friendly, and makes the food all the better!After ordering in store, it took about 10-15 minutes for our food to arrive. I view this as a HUGE positive because you know you’re getting the freshest food possible. I had the chicken steak and was surprised at how juicy (& not greasy) the inside was. Sides with broccoli & garlic noodles were a must. Spring rolls & thai tea were excellent as well.I’ll certainly be back whether it’s in person on their great (and really clean!) outdoor seating or delivery! Thank you so much!

Truly delicious chicken with humongous portions! Its more than worth the price for the giant meals. The chicken has a nice crispy texture and spicy seasonings. The garlic noodles were also good, although I wish there was more sauce so my meal would feel less dry.

Delicious and quick - if you are craving chicken dishes and garlic noodles, this is the place to go! I found out that the owner Michael used to own Perilla, which has amazing garlic noodles. So I was not surprised to find their garlic noodles buttery and drool-worthy. The five-spiced chicken and fried tofu were also great choices. I wasnt able to try the Taiwanese Chicken Fried Steak but I heard its one of their most popular dishes. Dont overlook this gem in the Mission!

A down to earth spot focusing on fried chicken with Taiwanese and Vietnamese influences. Here, you will find large chicken steaks marinated in five spice and white pepper, battered and fried in the Taiwanese way until they are juicy, tender, and crispy. Peppercorn wings might be even better than the cutlets; that’s because this place only serves flats/wingettes which ensures that every bite has the perfect ratio of crunchy batter to juicy meat. Theyve got other stuff too like Vietnamese style noodle soups, spring rolls, and garlic noodles but the chicken is definitely where its at!

Good chicken here. I had the fried chicken steak with garlic noodles adding a fried egg and imperial roll $21 dining indoors. The ordering system is, you pay at the cashier and then grab a table. They have a little parklet with heat lamps outside. My food came out in 15 minutes. I enjoyed the thin chicken steak. It had a good spice and tasted like Quicklys Taiwanese favors. I do recommend adding the red powder to give it some more flavor. It is not spicy at all. Their garlic noodles are not as good as Ben Tres or PPQs. It was a small side without a lot of garlic. I had worst. After my meal, I ordered a popcorn chicken to-go and a side of garlic noodles for tomorrow. Service is as expected for a counter ordering restaurant. Sometimes you have to refill your own water as the cashier/waiter is busy at the counter. You can help yourself to the water jug at the soda fridge.

My new go-to place in the Mission!Chic n’ Time has amazing food and service at an affordable price. Every dish I’ve tried has been phenomenal. The five spice chicken is perfectly seasoned and has a golden caramel skin. It’s delicious with both the chicken cabbage salad and the garlic noodles. The chicken steak is crispy (without being too oily) and unbelievably tender. Don’t forget to get a side of thai tea with your meal!Not only is the food here fire, but the service is also incredible. Michael, the owner, is a super friendly guy that goes above and beyond to make his customers happy. I love his energy and passion about food. Update: they are serving lots of different BOBA now!What a gem! 5 stars for Price, portion, service and authentic! It is so hard to find delicious Chinese food in Mission. This is the most authentic Taiwanese popcorn tofu I had in the Bay Area.Best part is they have a patio with heat lamp and is DOG friendly!My husband and I ordered the satay pho, fried tofu, and pho broth. Pho was very flavorful and the tofu was savory and CRISPY!

HELLO. Quit sleeping on CHIC N TIME!!! Hands down the best chicken wings and popcorn chicken that I have ever had. If I had to choose a last meal - itd be the peppercorn chicken wing plate and a side of 16oz chicken broth. If I had an Olympic-size swimming pool, Id drain it and fill it with the Chic n Time chicken broth and swim in it daily!!! Real talk - this place is amazing. Oh damn. I get why they’re so popular.Garlic noodles were so freaking good. They’re generous with garlic. The Taiwanese fried chicken hit home. The fried chicken wasn’t as greasy as most other places, but incredibly delicious. Imperial rolls were quality.Somehow, they do fried but not that greasy and it’s awesome.

This restaurant is like a hole in the wall spot. It looks very small from outside but the food here really packs a punch. We ordered inside, then grabbed a seat on their patio. The food came out really quickly and the server was really nice. They have a heater outside, which makes outdoor dining nice (especially when it gets cold out). The popcorn chicken was extremely well seasoned, nicely crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. We got a shaker with chili powder which added a great flavor to the dishes. Be careful shaking it when it’s windy, as it’ll get everywhere (clothes, table, eyes, etc). Love this spot!

It was my first time trying it and I wasn’t sure at first since it looked like a fast-food kind of place, but I was more than pleasantly surprised!!I had the 5 spice chicken with garlic noodle & a brown sugar boba. The chicken was AMAZING. I thought nothing could top the 5 spice chicken I’ve had in SSF but this was soo good. The skin was crispy and the meat was tender and full of flavor. The garlic noodles had just the right amount of garlic and it also came with a small side of broccoli.The boba was chewy (QQ) and not over-cooked & the brown sugar milk was perfect.Michael, the owner, also let us try the Spicy Mango Slushy with popping mango boba and it was BOMB. He mentioned he is adding a ton of new flavors to the menu soon so be on the lookout for those bc soon this will be a hot spot for yummy food & great boba drinks!Can’t wait to come again.

The spring rolls were very dull and no fresh herbs where noticeable in it. The five spice chicken pho was lacking spiciness. The sprouts where nowhere to be seen. The noodles where slimy indicating they were undercooked.Now this one might just be my personal taste but the chicken on the side was very fatty which kinda spoiled the broth for me.

First time eating here and it was great! Found this busy little restaurant while in the SF for a Warriors game. The place was clean and food was served hot, fresh and full of flavor. Mike and his staff were friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our meals. We had the popcorn chicken and fried tofu appetizers and 5-spice chicken, Garlic butter lobster and Charbroiled pork entrees, all with garlic noodles. We washed it all down refreshing Milk Tea with boba. Will definitely visit again!

This place is so good. Every time I get food from here, I’m reminded.I love the crunchy fried chicken cutlet, which somehow survives delivery without getting soggy. Be sure to add a little of the magic red chili powder. That small portion of broccoli is to make you feel virtuous. I’m less enthused about the garlic noodles than most.The five spice chicken pho is juicy and flavorful; the sauce has that elusive hint of caramel. Green papaya salad with shrimp is excellent too, as is the spicy satay pho.Kind owners and lots of seating indoors and out. The bathroom has been off limits throughout the pandemic.

Cute little shop that serves vietnamese and taiwanese food. The fried chicken was very juicy and the plum sauce was really good. The pho wasn’t the most authentic but was satisfying on a cold day. Ive only been ordering deliveries from this place. Theyre great. I like their Taiwanese Fried Chicken, and their Five Spiced Chicken. The Taiwanese chicken is not that oily either, which is nice. At least what I got was not that oily.The garlic noodle is good as well, though I wish it was more garlicky.The staff definitely knows how to handle fried food. They cut open the container a little bit to let steam escape. I dont get how these days there are places who still dont know this simple trick to make fried food not as soggy.Another thing is they offer trays as well. Would have loved it if they only sell just a full tray of chicken without any carbs or veggies. Just chicken, say five spiced chicken. Dont wanna pay for those extra rice when I can make my own rice.

I came here just wanting a lunch to hold me over. Chic n Time over-delivered. My food came ready out at shocking speed, and presented really interesting and unique twists to the garlic noodle dish. I had fantastically crunchy popcorn chicken and well-seared shrimp. It was delicious! And very reasonable. I shared a wonderful conversation with the owner, and had a great number of laughs with my meal. Im so happy I came by.

Wow. We live across the street and have been intrigued by this place since it opened. We could never tell exactly what to expect when we’d walk past — the branding and photos in the window don’t scream “best chicken in SF”. One day I stopped and interrupted a diner to ask. She said it was incredible, so we had to finally try it.Every dish we tried was super solid. The chicken is perfectly cooked, from the 5-spice to the wings. The garlic noodles are light and just right (unlike other garlic noodles that sit super heavy). Imperial rolls light and crispy.Our only request: some dipping sauce for the wings would be great!

After taking advantage of First Sundays at the Asian Art Museum, I had a sudden craving for garlic noodles. I knew I was going to be in the Mission later that day. So after an internet search, found Chic n Time.Indoor dining is allowed at limited capacity, so they have probably around 4 tables available inside. But they also have outdoor seating if you want to eat outside. I chose their entree with garlic noodles and five-spice chicken. Even though I hadnt eaten anything all day, I felt that the portions were enough for two people. I definitely couldnt saved half for later.The garlic noodles were egg noodles, and had just enough garlic to satisfy that craving without being overpowered. And it wasnt oily either, which is what I liked. The five-spice chicken was flavorful, and the skin had a good crunch. Heck, even the broccoli was good too!And out of the blue, one of the employees gave me fried tofu to try. She was confident Id like them, and she was right! The tofu was a bit silky, and the breading had a good crunch. I really liked the dipping sauce, that I couldve drank it. And she also refilled my water, which was much allrI am definitely coming back to try their fried chicken, which she also recommended. And Ill try their drinks, too, which includes boba.

Chic n Time is a welcome addition to Valencias Restaurant Row. If youre in neighborhood, or even if youre not, Chic n Time is well worth your time and taste buds. The chicken here, as youd expect, is great. Its tasty and cooked in various ways. We initially got the chicken steak and popcorn chicken, and both were absolutely delicious, and came back a week later for more chicken steak, and tried the garlic noodles, chicken wings, and boba tea. It all tasted fantastic. The chicken is rich with flavor, juicy, and the spice mix on top cant be beat. Chic n Time is new to the area, and its now on the top of our list whenever we crave chicken. Our three year old loved the popcorn chicken, and I loved the juicy chicken steak. The garlic noodles are second only to Thanh Long, and thats saying a lot; best on this side of town for sure. There are other places to buy chicken nearby, but Chic n Time is the no brainer top choice by far. Mike, the owner, is very friendly, and reminds us why we love and support local businesses!

Tl;dr go here its great! really really (really) good fried chicken (think taiwanese night market style e.g. popcorn, huge chicken steak) paired with homestyle vietnamese staples (5 spice chicken, pho, garlic noodles).seasoning on the fried chicken is tasty af with good mix of spices and the vietnamese dishes being homestyle is perfect pairing aka very clean broth, not oily, not salty. our toddler ate it all and especially loved the pho broth (clean!)tbh when we first walked by the pictures/menu threw us... but when we talked to the owner, he said people had a tough time understanding what fried chicken steak was but now people now can see its tw night market style which is hard to find and people love it and pile in.owner is super nice guy and im so glad to have a tasty, casual, bright, clean, homestyle spot right on valencia. live nearby and this is now in our rotation -- glad to support a great new local biz!

Im the worst kind of San Franciscan that likes visiting new restaurants just so I can complain about them. I was skeptical of this place when I walked by it during its grand opening - how do they expect this kind of concept to actually work?; but I stand corrected. There is a restaurant nearby that is good for takeout near Mision Dolores Park. Without thinking or planning, I chose a restaurant and menu with good ratings on Yelp and DoorDash. It was garlic noodles and chicken menu. It was reasonably priced at about $20, including cola. The portion was large so the two of us ate to our fill. I went to Soto Marena and many other San Fran restaurants, but this restaurant was surprisingly quite delicious. This restaurant is recommended when you want to have a picnic outdoors. Dolores has many benches so there are plenty of places to eat!
