I really enjoyed the tacos, however I think I got ripped off. Unless I misread something...I came in on a Tuesday, and ordered the Tuesday special: 3 taco combo with a horchata. For $16 I think it was?But another tuesday special was $3 tacos. So the combo is $9 worth of tacos plus a drink worth $4, a $13 value for 16. I wont factor in the $.50 upcharge I thought I saw for the pork taco, might have been just a POS machine error or there may have been fine print. But the missing 3 dollars of value, where are they?mayybe the combo was good all day and the $3 tacos were only happy hour? I cant verify my experience because they dont list their Tuesday deals anywhere online.The other combos come with chips and salsa, which would have removed $2.50 of the discrepancy had they been included in my order. Not sure if they were supposed to or not.edit: no, I went back and looked at the Tuesday specials poster and indeed I was correct.

These were pretty great tacos! I love the location in Culver City, and the restaurant decor is absolutely beautiful. The concept of this place is really cute and they have some really cute merch to go with it!I love that they have vegan and vegetarian options, and I tried their impossible taco with their own tacossauce and it was pretty good. Their steak and pork tacos are delicious, both meats are slow braised for over nine hours...And they had really good flavors in the tacos. I also really enjoyed their deep dish taco pizza as well as their chips, salsa, and guacamole. I think this is a great place to come and get get Tacos and drinks with your friends on a night out, and its also a great family spot too.MUST ORDER! Coconut Cream Horchata

We ordered four different tacos and they were good but nothing special. We also ordered a kids menu and this is the reason for my 3⭐ review. There is a lot of room for improvement. The kids taco was just a taco shell and meat and salad on the side (this was one of the options, the other one was rice and beans). But compared to our tacos it doesnt look tasty at all.

What a great spot!!! This restaurant is perfect for a date night, dinner with friends or a quick stop with the family. They have an authentic Mexican menu with a fun flaire. So many healthy options including a plant based queso thats out of this world. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. They accept cash and card. Indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is close by on the street or parking lot across the street. They offer a plant based menu and healthy drink options! Definitely a must if you are in the area and looking for food thats unique, healthy, and tasty at a fair price!

Great food! Nice little vibe especially at night with the string lights! They have plant-based options using Impossible meat (it is not Beyond meat as mentioned in previous reviews).I had the Impossible taco (not the supreme) and the Impossible nachos. Both were tasty. The torrillas and chips used had a great crunch. Not too flaky or airy.There is indoor and outdoor seating available. They have frozen margaritas too.

This place has a great atmosphere, however this place clearly caters to a different population. The food is sub-par, flavorless for its unoriginality and lack of authenticity. Had the market burrito and the nachos and I have had better from Taco Bell. This place should remain as a cute Instagram post.

We were walking past here and talking about how cute the outside of the shop was when diners on the patio said, “And the food is great too.”They didn’t lie. I asked the cashier what he liked best and he suggested the quesadilla - which was fabulous. My friend had queso and I stole her spicy veg - which was fresh and crisp and not overly spicy.I’m looking forward to a return trip when I have a bigger appetite.As an added bonus, everyone working there really wanted to make sure you were happy because they sure were. Love it!

Cant recommend any higher! Incredible flavors and lots of options. Best taco Ive ever had and it was JACKFRUIT!!! Im not even vegan! The margaritas are a tasty addition with Chicas crispy house made chips. Oh my, the tortillas. Perfectly made. In addition to the delicious comida, Chicas has a cool vibe with quick and friendly staff. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

What a beautifully designed restaurant! Every detail of the space down to the trays the food comes in was pink and friendly and perfect! The food was delicious, the drink choices were endless, and with covid this was an oasis! This was a tiny bit of normalacy in a world of isolation in 2020. I cant wait to visit again and enjoy the outdoor patio!

Nice and fresh food, well spiced. Plenty of outdoor seating. Patio right in front and larger seating area with umbrellas on closed off street. They have TVs for events/games. Tacos, taco bowls, burritos. Cold brew + horrchata muy bueno. Must get street corn. Lots of parking with public lot near trader joes.

I tried the mushroom burrito and horchata at this place, and too much of quinoa is killing the burrito, I believe they should add black beans, with red rice and salsa., which could add better flavor, I personally didnt like the burrito. Horchata was good though.

Great food and the color scheme and interiors are to die for. But I cant help but leave out one star because I came in with my two Latino friends, and the folks taking our orders struggled a bit with our accents on two separate occasions. Had to say horchata and burrito with a less Latino accent. Kinda takes away from the authentic atmosphere theyre promoting 🤷‍♀️

I tried 6 of their tacos, in order to know more about the place, you can tell they are fresh, never-frozen ingredients.I think Chicas Tacos has an interesting menu, definetly fresh ingredients, I loved the tacos, but the fish taco was a bit too salty.They dont have aguas naturales but their sodas are different and tasty.Their prices are a bit high but I would consider the fact that they use fresh/never frozen ingredients and pay employees well. I will visit again to try more of the menu and update my review.

So far, so amazing. The jackfruit is excellent and smoky sweet, in the burrito it pairs perfectly with the avocado Crema. Not that you need it, but Don’t miss their house brand taco sauce! Last I’ll say that their house salsa is an impressive standard of quality, better than many large Mexican restaurants.

Yesterday, I ordered a large Mexican coke and delicious coconut cream Horchata. Highly recommend!I accidentally left my Saphire card while paying at the counter and didnt notice it was gone for about an hour. I was so grateful that a lovely lady working at the register had kept my card safe for me and asked me to confirm my name and describe the card before returning it. If she reads this, THANK YOU, AGAIN!I will definitely be coming back to try their food next time! Great to dine somewhere with such excellent staff!

Chicas is a great casual place to go with your chicas for Mexican food & drinks, especially if they’re vegan or vegetarian because they have so many dairy free & vegetarian options! I strongly recommend the vegan nachos & beef tacos. The tacos also come with a side of chips and salsa.For seating, they have plenty of both indoor & outdoor available. You order at the counter, seat yourself with a number, and they bring the food to you. The staff is super friendly, and the overall vibe is very cute.

Super cute, love the branding and atmosphere. Tacos were good, bowl was very good, loved the sauces and guacamole was excellent. Loved the unique drinks (try the purple hibiscus/pineapple if you like sour drinks). One of four in our group said he’d had better tacos which is why it’s a 4 star.

Impossible taco comes in a shell (not authentic) topped with cold cheddar cheese. The nachos that came with my guacamole order were too dry. The couliflower taco was great!The staff was very friendly.

Freaking amazing tacos. Hands down best in this area. It was recommended by staff ti order the battered fish taco and the steak taco and it was unlike any I’ve ever had. We loved it. The margaritas were very good as well- big and tasty ! We will definitely come back.

On a busy Saturday night in downtown Culver, Chicas was surprisingly not busy in comparison to other bustling business. Perhaps this should have been the sign to consider other options, but then again the hype is what sometimes drives popularity in LA, so we decided to give it a shot. The food arrived quickly, I ordered three tacos to try the variety of meat offerings. The meats while cooked well were not flavorful and the tacos missed the traditional garnishes like the raw cut onions and offerings of salsas. One might put these tacos in the gourmet category, but the overprice tacos just didnt do it for me. Consider instead more flavorful and cheaper tacos at Bennys or even Reubens taco truck.

We went her today out of pure curiosity. The space is nice, bright and colorful. It’s even more so magnified by the outdoor seating that Culver City has curated via closing down lanes on Washington Blvd. My wife and I ordered 2 fish,, 1 pork and 1 chicken taco. Of the 3, the chicken was the only one that stood out but note,, it was good, not great. We found the fish tacos to be well battered and a good size but they lacked the flavor and depth of real authentic fish taco.. I would recommend the fish taco at Tocaya over this one, any day of the week. I didn’t taste my wife’s pork taco but she said it was meh. The meat look flavorful with visible spices and onions but the meat was tight and compact, that it was made to look mushy; it probably tasted that way as well.The food here was fine and met our needs for a late afternoon snack. While it’s not a destination restaurant for me and I wouldn’t crave or suggest it, I would probably return if in the area, otherwise, pass!

To all foodies please make a note in your eating books. The burritos is one of the best tasting and healthiest Ive ever eaten. For LUNCH the best tasty salads. This is a new Mexican restaurant opened in Culver City downtown! Very nicely decorated and they have an interesting menu! Also, they have a variety of Mexican drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The food is very tasty and fresh! They even sometimes have Mexican bands playing on the weekends, of course whenever it is allowed because of the restrictions! I definitely recommend it!

I ordered a new menu item the Jackfruit Burrito and I have to say, it was love at first bite! The jackfruit was cooked to perfection, kale & romaine coated in delicious Lemon vinaigrette.. It was so incredibly flavorful.I must note that Chicas Tacos only uses fresh and clean ingredients, you can taste the difference and you feel refreshed after eating which I find to be rare at most taco joints.Highly recommend!

Food is definitely good. I had the jackfruit, slow braised pork, and the chicken taco, along with a Topo-Chico mineral water. I will admit I think it is way overpriced. My bill came to about $17 and I was still hungry.I won’t be coming back as there are way too many better taco options around that taste just as good (if not better) and more reasonably priced.

The outstanding feature of Chicas is the kids menu that includes a beautiful, kids-size serving of fresh, thin sliced cucumbers and halved cherry tomatoes. All of Chicas food is fresh and delicious, but I will bring the kids often because of the lovely veggies that they happily eat.

The cashier was rude and was more interested in telling me it cost more for what I wanted than listening to what I actually wanted and just charging me for it. I wanted a frozen margarita with my order, and i dont know how many times I had to tell her I understand! She got mad because they had made my margarita on the rocks while telling her thats not what I wanted. She could have saved that but if she would just LISTEN!!! Just charge me separately for what i want ! I just hope she isnt running the place, if she is, it would explain why its so empty on a Sunday afternoon.

The Downtown Los Angeles Chicas Tacos location has been a go-to of mine over the last year. I love to see they are expanding to more locations in LA. The decor and feel of the Culver City location is very heartwarming and the food is incredible. This is something I could see myself eating everyday. The quality of the food and preparation is tremendous, I feel great after a few tacos and a quesadilla.
