2023-08-23 05:44:42Great portions, and yummy fried chicken flavors. The price is decent for how much you get. Small menu but I like that because it takes the hassle out of ordering when there is too many options. Jajangmyeon is huge and can be shared between two. We definitely over ordered when we also got a large portion of fried chicken. Im in food coma right now. Honestly with price of everything these days, this place is super fair! Also they do take away :)

2023-07-07 21:58:27I tried Chick & Jajang in Daly City and ordered a large chicken with two flavors: chili and honey and cheese. While the overall taste was satisfactory, there was an issue with the cooking process. The chicken had an excessive amount of flour coating, resulting in an imperfectly cooked texture. The coating remained undercooked, affecting the enjoyment of the flavors.Despite this setback, the chili flavor provided a nice kick, and the honey and cheese flavor offered a unique combination. However, the execution fell short due to the excessive flour coating. On a positive note, the chicken was generously sized and had flavorful seasoning. The crispy exterior would have been enjoyable with a better-balanced flour coating.

2023-04-02 04:12:08Final Four 🏀 Basketball and the bracket. Nobody knew these teams would make it this far! Im honestly not a big fan of college hoops but dont mind watching the games w/ friends while biting into juicy fried chicken from Chick & Jajang ( Daly City). They have Four different flavors to choose from including: plain, chili, soy& garlic and honey. The plain ones are my personal favorite! Crunchy outer layers and moist and tender chicken meat. Oh, Im glad I dont have to drive as far to Santa Clara or the East Bay for some jajangmyeon 자장면 noodles either!

2023-08-21 23:06:57The honey & cheese chicken was the highlight of our visit! Reminds me of sour cream & onion Pringles in a good way. The fried rice was surprisingly better than I expected, the Jjam Bbong is literally shin ramen, and the ja jang myeon was only ok. Served ban chan with refills, and can ask for a pot of tea if you want to avoid always having to ask the waiter to refill water. Overall a fast n casual vibe, and would come again.

2023-11-29 01:29:55Staff is always friendly and helpful, but in the past few months, the price of the popcorn chicken has gone up, and the portion is half of what it was less than a year ago, so I wont be ordering it again, and its really the only reason I come.

2023-04-11 04:55:20Great new addition to the Westlake Mall! Glad to see more Korean restaurants opening up in SF. We came at 12pm and within 10 mins, the restaurant started to fill up. Its not very big so if you want a spot, highly recommend coming before 12:30pm. We ordered the small order of honey and cheese korean fried chicken and their Jjam-Jja-Myeon. The honey and cheese powder was really good. Its cheesy and sweet, almost like the sour cream and cheese ruffle chips. There werent a lot of wings and drumsticks - mostly breast pieces for the small order. :/ The Jjam-jja-myeon was a 3.9/5. I really liked Jjamppong and it had a nice smokey flavor to it. I dont do too well with spice but it was bearable. The jajangmyeon was okay. A bit too salty. Wish the black bean sauce was fried. Service was good and efficient.04.08.2023 | Saturday @12pm

2023-03-03 03:24:09Nice. Very nice Korean fried chicken at Chick & Jajang. They are an authentic Korean fried chicken restaurant. The cashier/waiter speaks fluent Korean. I started with the #1 - jajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles) $13. The black bean sauce smelled wonderful and tasted even better. The noodles were homemade and tasted fresh. The only drawbacks were the black bean sauce could have been thicker and it didnt contain that many pieces of cabbage, onions, pork or zucchini. Next I had the #10 chili Korean fried chicken $15. This was great! The sweet and sauce overloaded the fried chicken. In order to retain the crunch, I had to eat these fast. I ordered it medium spicy and it wasnt that spicy at all. They put some chopped peanuts on top of the chicken which I found weird. Luckily, I dont have a peanut allergy. Service was fine.

2023-03-09 04:22:22This place took over what used to be Broosters. Chicken was really flavorful and juicy. Got the soy garlic. Sweet, crunchy, juicy, everything you could want from Korean fried chicken.Got the jjam-Jangh myeon. It was good. Noodles had a really good texture. Like the size and held up well with the soups and sauces. Fair warnings Im bias, not a fan of onions, and there was A LOT of it in both dishes. The ones in the jajangmyeon were a little too big...lots of big chunks that I wasnt a fan of.Also orders the fried rice. Good flavor, same sauce, same large chunks. Very large portion of rice.I would go back for the chicken and for 2 people a small chicken and maybe share another entree.

2023-04-08 12:28:28Was very excited to try this new black bean noodle and fried chicken spot in Westlake. Inside is casual with tables lined up along the walls. The tvs were playing pictures of their food and a korean show of street food. I ordered number 1 black bean noodles and fried dumplings to go. The food was ready super fast, like 5 minutes. The meal came with some pickled radishes and fresh onions. The noodles came packed in a handy container that separated the sauce. There were 7 fried dumplings in the order. They were fresh and hot with lots of filling. The noodles were pretty good. They dont have a lot of variety in toppings with mainly pork and veggies but the sauce was pretty tasty. The onions went really well with the sauce. The meal was good to share between two people. I cant wait to come again to try their fried chicken.
