Where to begin. We havent tried this place in years. We used to come when the original owners were here. We loved them. The food is too be so good. Now its new owners (3) and the food isnt cooked by Chinese. Its cooked by Mexicans. The food was bland. Egg drop soup was watery and runny. My husband got a dirty water cup. We had tons of food left over that we didnt want to take home. Horrible experience. Service was good, but the waitress was not knowledgeable. I asked for the red fish sauce for dipping eggrolls, and she brought me something brown and weird.Then there was Hispanic mariachi music playing, which was so annoying! We arent here for Mexican food or music.

This small out of the way bistro delivers on taste! The food is made exactly when you order and is really fresh. An excellent place for family gatherings or just the romantic night out on a budget. I recommend the sesame chicken! The only tiny downside was the bathroom. It was clean and well stocked but could use some repairs. That did not impact the overall experience though.

Professional table side service! We have never have this experience before. Moo Shu shrimp so delicious.The most Chinese restaurants just serve the dish. And won’t wrap for you . We are so happy that we have great dinner.

First time trying this place. I was skeptical because anybody is trying a new place. Off the bat everyone was friendly we were seated as soon as me and boyfriend walked in. Prices are reasonable we wanted to order to go because I was sick and didn’t want to disturb anyone with my coughing. So as we were going through the menu we the waiter gave us water and crispy noodles with the sweet and sour sauce. Which I never experienced which I really liked. So we finally order and waited for our food the waiters meaning all of them were very attentive filling our waters while we waited. So after about 15 minutes our food was ready . We had order crispy spring rolls, sesame chicken, chow mein, and fried rice. When we got home to eat wow I was very shock on how everything tasted everything was really really good. Very good flavor and they give us quite a bit we can go 2 or even 3 rounds for 2 people. Very worth it . From the service to the food everything was great.

Mediocre at best. My sister ordered the potstickers for an appetizer, and the vegetable chow fun. We had to call the waitress back, because she walked away without taking my order. Strange. I ordered fried shrimp appetizer and sweet and sour chicken. The pot stickers were tasty. The fried shrimp definitely were not worth the price. Overcooked and very skinny. According to my sister, the chow fun had too many bean sprouts and no green vegetables of any kind. My sweet and sour chicken was the worst I ever had. The pieces of chicken were overcooked to the point of being hard. The chicken was tough, there wasnt enough sauce to soften the pieces. The carrots were burnt in parts which gave the dish a bitterness that was unpleasant. Doubt if well ever go back.

This is by far one of my favorite Chinese food places in the whole valley. Family owned restaurant thats been around for more years than those Ive lived. The padthai is one of my favorite dishes, it is as good as the ones i had Bangkok.

17 years Lily has made her customers feel welcome. Add to this the delicious food! The lunch menu is especially well priced and we have always found the portions to be generous. Although the restaurant is small it feels cozy. There is parking on the street in front and a parking area in back.

Best customer service ever. I ordered from Uber Eats, something happened, never got the food even tho it was picked up. Got a refund from Uber, but Michael from China Bistro still offered to remake my order (4 entrees) and personally deliver AFTER they were closed. Haven’t even eaten there yet, but I’ll be a customer for life. Outstanding.

Best chines food in the valley. I took my girlfriend on a date the other day and everyone that worked there was very welcoming! My girlfriend said they have the best orange chicken and I had to agree! I also tried their Tea and it was amazing. Im definitely going back to this place!!!

Its a hidden gem! Tucked away in an area that is near Old Town Indio. My family enjoys coming here for the great service and excellent food. We recently had our church Christmas dinner here to honor our leaders. Everyone ate plenty of food, they have a great back area with large tables. Great for large parties!

We tried this restaurant based on the last review which was made 15 minutes before we checked. The food was fantastic with generous portions. My only complaint... we did take-out because they dont have delivery. It was a quick 10 min drive from our hotel so not a big deal and the food was ready in 15 min.

Some of pretty darn good Chinese. Got the walnut shrimp, special lo mein, special fried rice and schewan spicy chicken. Everything was decently priced, service was great. Place is a bit dated inside, bathrooms a bit unkempt but would def come back when Im in the area.

The best Chinese restaurant in indio. Ive been here twice and it was even better with the second visit. Great food...Basil beef, Eggplant in garlic sauce, house fried rice even the Po Po platter was fun for the kids. They enjoyed grilling the appetizers on the sterno pot. Friendly staff who are attentive to your needs. Great find.

The China Bistro is a wonderful place that serves Chinese cuisine. It was quite busy but we only waited a minute or two before being seat in their second dining area which is very comfortable and nicely decorated with some very beautiful pictures with such wonderful details.Took are drink orders and food orders in a timely manner kept our drinks filled they made us feel just as important as the crowd in the main room that they use.The food well I couldnt been happier 3 different kinds of egg foo young to choose from, since moving to the desert area so many places do not serve Egg Foo Young at all so to have 3 choices was a special treat will definitely be back with friends who also enjoyed their meals at well.

Most Chinese restaurants in non-Chinese communities in America serve American Chinese food . . . Lemon Chicken for example. But China Bistro serves real tasty Chinese Chinese food. Its the real thing - and my wife and I know because were Chinese. We love this restaurant not only for its food, but for its friendly staff and owners. It is a family run business and their pride of ownership shows. We are local and will be back often!

My favorite dish beef and broccoli was terrible! Broccoli tasted like it had gone bad, the beef was bland and didnt taste right either. Also wasnt enough sauce.Both the people I was eating with thought their meals were great, or I would have have it only 2 stars.

First time going there. Rather disappointed. The food actually did not really have flavor at all. Ordered cashew shrimp for $12.50. There were eight shrimp on the platter about the size of a 50-cent piece. Everything else on the platter was chopped celery.

I have been coming here a few times and they always have bad attitudes. I figured that was just their personality. I came today with a party of eight; with two being the age of four. their was no sign saying wait to seated, so I asked to sit in the other dinning area to avoid any disturbance and because we didnt fit in the main dining area. She got mad and argued with me. I told her we did not fit, so then she realized it after we sat down, so she moved us to the other dinning area. Then the to younger ones share a drink and plate, the owner came out and started yelling at us with the children present and said that we can not be getting refills because they are sharing and I answered how much do you charge for refills. He replied we dont charge for refills. I said then whats the problem, do not come yelling at us. Then he comes charging at me, very aggressive and the server had to hold him. This mans behavior in front of children is not acceptable. This is not a children friendly place. They get mad when people are sharing. The man made a comment about that too. There was flies disturbing during our meal. I WILL NOT RETURN!!!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!! I WILL TELL EVERYONE HOW BAD IT IS WITH DETAILS!!!! IF ANYONE ASKS I WILL TELL THEM THE BAD EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD!!!!!!
