Great food at a great price. I love everything I have tried here. The mushrooms and bamboo on the premiers chicken are great. The orange chicken os crunchy with a slight spice, and the kung pao three delights is wonderful with chicken, shrimp, beef, and cashews. I also love the fried rice here as well as their sizzling rice soup. Remember to ask for chilli for some added kick. I heavily recomend this to everyone looking for a delicious chinese restraunt, especially here in SW Bakersfield. They will make any dish you want spicy as well if you ask.

We have been sitting here for an and only got 2 of our 4 dishes. We aren’t even hungry any more. The bbq pork ribs were so dry and the hot and sour soup was so salty. I definitely do not recommend coming here. We told the staff not to make our other dishes as it was taking so long. The restaurant wasn’t even busy.

The I ordered, sweet & sour shrimp had more onion and bell pepper. That was ok just because I love veggies. However, the shrimp fried rice was awful. Cold and taste like it was cooked days ago. I called and the person said I dont what to tell you, we just cooked it I know the difference and am offended by that callous and disrespectful response. NEVER AGAIN! I can appreciate businesses that the least apologize, not be indignant on the wrong 💯

Delicious authentic fresh food & clean restaurant. Had the Beef & Asparagus & House Chow Mein soft noodles. Cook to perfection. So, I read multiple reviews on this restaurant. I decided to give it a try and see what is what all about. Well let’s just say, my first time experience was HORRIBLE and I will definitely not return. $19.95 for a lunch combo with 4 eggs rolls. . . .The rice was so stale and the egg was very chewy. Wontons were burnt. Orange chicken, the texture was disgusting. I immediately could tell that it was not just cooked like the lady claimed. And had maybe been leftover from the night before. Only thing decent was the eggs rolls, which is why I left one star. . . .I do not recommend this place at all.

The first time I ordered from them the food was really good. The second and most recent times the wontons had absolutely no cheese in them. They were fried almost rock hard and when broken up you could see zero filling. This most recent time it took them 1 hr 10 minutes to bring the food even though I live fairly close (this was also past the estimated delivery time). They were late, food was lukewarm, as I mentioned the wontons were cheese less. The egg rolls were incredibly greasy and a couple were misshapen and falling apart.Worst of all, they left out a main dish from my order. I was able to get it but it was another hour before it came.Also, if you order anything like fried rice or chow mein, they leave off the white rice that is supposed to come with your dish but they do not reduce the price of your dish. If the fried rice or chow mein is someone elses meal and not being shared, you get screwed out of rice for your dish while still paying for it.

This used to be a favorite place. Last three times I’ve gone, they give me a time frame for my food (15-20 min), I can add 45-60 additional minutes and not done. Tonight I was told 15-20 min at 45 the food still isn’t done. 5 families waiting for their food over and hour. Service has plummeted. They blame corona. I say it’s telling people what they think they want to hear. While I was leaving she told someone on the phone 15-20 min. SMH. Never had this issue at Bill Lee’s.

Recently moved here from Burbank ca where Chinese food places are scarce & the food is not really note worthy. Saw this place, read the reviews & based on what I read,placed an order.Not sure what Chinese food some of the dear people of Bakersfield have eaten but, I would just like to tell them this food is really below standard. Had the high-end Tiger Dinner there with my hubby last evening. The food was mostly okay, but untypically overcooked and blander than usual. Both of us had the Beef-Scallop Sizzling dinner. About 1/2 way through our meal, we noticed nearly every pea pod had several black mold spots. Not very appetizing. Asked the server whether the person cooking the food was an owner or an employee. Glad to hear it was an employee, I guess. Been going there a long time, but think maybe that was the last time they will see us. That was over the line.

Food- mediocre, maybe a step up from Panda Express. It was just very bland. I expect better quality from a sit down/take out family run restaurant. I went here while visiting my brother in Bakersfield. We did order within the hour before close so that may have contributed? But I have had much better even at late hours in my home town. Also, the Chinese Buffet in the same shopping center had better quality food or at least on par for better pricing.Decor - some the pieces of art we exquisite, especially the picture at the front door and the soji screen blocking the view of the kitchen. The rest of the decor was just okay and fairly simple/bland.Service - Was excellent, no complaints.

If i could give 0 stars i would. I bought nearly $30 of food last night. My car smelled funky going home with it and the food tasted just like the funky smell. I had to throw all my food away. How can fried rice and orange chicken be ruined, i dont know but they managed to do so!!! Never eat there again! Wasted $$$

Food is good. Customer service is horrible. Waitress at the place are rude. They hush your kids if they ask questions about ingredients in food. They need to learn some customer service skills. Definitely not a good place if you want to take your family to enjoy a good lunch or dinner. Not a kid friendly place.

It was a fast delivery to my place. But when you call some lady is rude ass hell and snaps at you every few seconds on the phone. The deliver guy tried to walk off and keep all my change which was $7 dont think so. The food was bleh, the orange was brown and had pieces of dried lemon in it, the large containers were only kinda full. The ribs were dry and no sauce on them. The only the good was the chicken fried rice. The rest of the food and service sucked ass. Wont be ordering from here again.

Ordered online. Roasted duck, shrimp fried rice, shrimp and veggie stir fry, and hot and sour soup. Stir fry was greasy with no flavor, duck was dry like it was frozen then microwaved, even the fried rice hit the plate like rocks. Bland and certainly not worth the 50 spent and those prices. Never again. 😷

China Garden deserves a zero star rating! I ordered for the first time from China Garden on Planz in Bakersfield Ca. The shrimp and snow peas plate was half water chestnuts doesnt say it comes with water chestnuts. The intestines were still in half of the shrimp. Gross. This plate cost $12.95! I also ordered a beef and asparagus plate. This plate cost $11.95. The beef tasted like it was probably left over from yesterday it tasted expired. The asparagus was old, yellow and inedible. It was all floating in a pool of beef broth. I hope I dont get sick. I threw the beef dish out as well as all the water chestnuts about 1 full cup! Dont waste your hard earned cash here. The entire order was $30.+ including tip. What a ripoff. DISGUSTING FOOD!!!

We ordered the Dragon Dinners with appetizers,the cost was a little over 60 dollars.It was New Years eve and we knew it was going to be a long wait.We got the food 2hr later and the food was horrible.The kung pao chicken was not spicy at all and the hot pepper had no taste,the beef with broccoli.The beef was hard with a taste of being freezer burn and the orange chicken also tasteless,noodles were old tasting along with the wonton soup.What was edible was the egg rolls,chicken in foil,fried shrimp and pork fried rice and the rest went in the garbage.Will never order from here again.

The lady who works here with the red car has horrible customer service. She left with out giving me my change after I asked for it .
