China Great Buffet in El Monte

Excellent Chinese all-you-can-eat buffet. Wide variety of dishes, constantly replenished. 5 stars for service because your table will be kept clean of used plates. Definitely worth the drive if youre not in the immediate area.

It was calm for lunch, nice staff and the food was fresh and yummy. I was stuffed to the brim! Desert section isnt crazy but it doesnt have to be, well enough on the savory side to make up for it. We had a great time for my friends birthday.

They use styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. As someone who cares about waste, this is enough for me to not go back.The food was alright. They are lacking on vegetables. They also need to add more options and seasonings to the mangolian grill as it’s just too tiny.

In the past, this buffet was amazing. It had music, wasn’t overpriced, and there were actual decent food. But now this buffet is extremely bad I went here with my family of 6 and they over charged us a whopping $150. When I was grabbing food I noticed that they had plastic utensils and plates. The rest of the food is alright. Things went from bad to worse when I went to get pastries. There were little to no pastries and when I grabbed some and returned to my table I ate just one and my mouth was dryer than the Savanna Desert. The pastries were extremely dry. Apart from that, the buffet was good. Would I recommend this buffet? The answer is no.

Used to be good. Not now the food was not good overpriced. Had to beg for a cup the they use styrofoam plates small cheap ones. The plastic forks and knives are cheapest you can buy my father couldnt even use them em. What about the environment people! They charged my card when it said account closed not 🚫 true then we paid cash! Double charged us! 150.00! Ill never go back horrible experience. Im going over there now to get my refund if they are not cooperative Ill be calling police to restaurant.

Came in early on Saturday as I heard it gets busy starting at lunch time. Theres a large amount of tables, but they are spread out for distancing. Was immediately greeted at the door, paid in advance, then given your table number to seat yourself. Once you find your table, youre free to head into the buffet areas. Theres about 7-8 distinct areas that have everything from fresh/cooked seafood, noodle dishes, meat dishes, sushi, desserts, etc... Everything you typically find at a buffet restaurant. All the food was freshly made and the stations were well maintained. Staff was constantly picking up empty dishes from your table and making sure the food stations were full.

The waiter cursing us in Chinese after we finished dining here without giving cash tips. Since we used credit card also we pay in advance, how can we tips? I recommend management staffs can change to pay after so the waiter who works here can receive tips and stoping cursing customers, this was so disrespectful and disturbing.

We went on a Friday for dinner during primetime. The dinning room is modern and looks very nice. The snow crab legs were pretty salty and you have to wait for them to be brought out. The fried crab is not seasoned very well. It has a thick batter on it which takes away from the flavor. There is a hibachi and the selection of meat and veggies was good and kept fresh. Overall there were a few really good dishes including Mongolian beef, pepper chicken, orange chicken and fried shrimp. There was a good variety of dessert selections including fresh fruits and a chocolate fountain. Service was pretty good.

Took my family for the first time and was not happy with the styrofoam plates.Staff was pleasant, food selection was decent. Sat at the booth and the seats felt sticky.
