The food here is very good my only problem is the portions are small. I got the large option for my entree and I still left the restaurant feeling hungry And its a shame too because they had many entrees that I really enjoy . They have many tasty entree selections so I think Ill give them a call and inquire To see if an extra large option Is available. .... And Im not even a big guy, far from it

We live just blocks away and normally the best Chinese food is in Chinatown but China Lites is just as good. Ive been a customer for years. I love it!

Called in a order for some fried rice minus eggs (allergy) well food get here the order is wrong and I’m upset because I’m hungry now. At this point I immediately call them to say hey I called in my order but it’s incorrect. He’s arguing with me like I don’t know how to order food especially with a life threatening allergy.Wasted $30 and gave a nice tip to not have any food to eat. I will never order from here again. Sad because the food was good. When it was right. Never again.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the entirety of Los Angeles. Its not a high-end dining room, but man, that food is fantastic and the owners who are also working the front desk are incredibly nice and remember your name. I highly recommend their food!

I saw this place had mixed reviews, so I was a little concerned about ordering it on DoorDash. But it was great! I got the MooShoo with BBQ pork and the hot and sour soup. I liked the MooShoo a lot, especially because most places dont have the option to get it with BBQ pork. And the soup was very tangy and flavorful. Both dishes had lots of wood ear mushrooms, which I love. It even came with crispy noodles, unfortunately no sweet and sour sauce though so I didnt eat them. No biggie though.It seems like most of the people complaining didnt like that the food was served with cheap dishware but thats not a problem for ordering in, and hey if it keeps the prices low I would prefer to eat on paper plates because the food itself is still just fine.

Ordered from here based on the great reviews and 4.5 rating. I am shocked that it has really that many stars based off of the food that we ate last night. The food did not taste good. The pork was tough and string beans were mushy. The steak was interesting… it was coated in some kind of sticky weird sauce. I don’t think it resembled steak very well at all. The chicken had no flavor and was also weird. The eggrolls left much to be desired. The sauce for the egg rolls was awful. Still searching for an amazing Chinese restaurant in the valley… Do they even exist? have tried a handful of them and much of them are like this review… So so sad

Ordered a dine-in lunch meal of black bean fish. I wont ever come here again. The fish in black bean sauce was inedible because of the amount of salt/msg.Food was served on a cardboard plate, and half of the rice stuck to the plate, while eating was done with a plastic fork. The soup was served in a paper bowl and the corn in the egg drop soup, had chunks of the cob itself.Not sure who paid for the previous reviews but this meal was very much below average and even the fortune cookie was stale.Most Chinese places in this neighborhood are packed, this place had 20 tables and only 2 of them had customers, so you can guess how many customers they retain.

As someone stated before, I went here based off of the rating. Im shocked that the ratings for this place are so high. Had wonton soup, while the broth was flavorful, the wontons themselves were doughy and the filling tasted so odd, Ive never tasted wontons like that and I dont mean it in a good way. The orange beef was okay, although the broccoli was cold, the pineapple chicken was extremely sweet and the chicken had an odd texture, and the chow mein was bland aside from the overpowering garlic taste.

Food is really really good! Was going to my previous Chinese food spot, came across this particular eatery and fell in love! My two favorite dishes are the shrimp egg fu yung (sorry if I misspelled it) amd shrimp fried rice are phenomenal. Highly recommend this place for great Chinese food.

Had lunch at China Lites today. Its a small place and had a few people. I had hot n sour soup which was pretty good, so was the Hunan fish. Crisp n juicy. The service was good.The place itself is shabby with boxes n other stuff, if they can clear the clutter it would be a great place to drop by frequently.

To feed a family of three this is an excellent option. For the dishes we buy it is about $70. And that feeds our family of three two to three meals. Excellent tasting food.

The won ton soup had one shrimp and one piece of chicken and had lettuce instead of cabbage. The lemon chicken was just a fried Tyson chicken patty with the sauce.The food was mediocre at best, its almost like they went to the store and heated up some frozen dinners.

This place used to be pretty good, but not so much anymore. The food has become mediocre at best (everything, even Vegan, tastes like old grease). Also, the delivery guy just stands outside and screams the apartment number even though I live a small, unsecured 6 unit building, they have been here many times and I gave immaculate instructions/directions online and have asked them the last 3 times to please not have him do that as it disturbs other tenants. Plus I always request hot mustard and most of the time it is not included. I dont think I will be ordering from here anymore.

China lites is so amazing that my mom has chosen this restaurant to be her family gathering stop. She is at this restaurant almost everyday because she is in love with the speed of the service and the comfort she has waiting for her food. What amazes her the most is that even tho she has a language barrier between them they always get the order right. Also they professionally sugest new options. Making this experience so exiting every single time my mom calls for a gathering. For this i give China Lites props ..

My grandparents-in-law introduced us to this place. Its in a rotten looking strip mall, literally on the wrong side of the tracks on Laurel Canyon, but the food is fantabuloustastic.The staff, who seem to be family, treat us as if we were their family, as well.Back to the food. Delicious. Its tasty without being overpowering. The spicy dishes are spicy, not an exercise in strength and the vegetables are crisp and fresh.My favorite is the Orange Chicken.I work downtown and I often find myself at a couple of chinese places and they cant hold a candle to China Lites. Ive been spoiled by great chinese food.The food is so good that buses full of Chinese tourists are taken to China Lites for some home cookinIt looks like Im stopping on the way home for some tonight. MMMMMMyum!
