Food was ok. I like to try different Chinese food when I stay in different cities. A bit pricey. Food came out fast. Service was quick and the dining room looks nice for a date night.
Food is good. A little expensive. The owner/manager is nice. We usually get it for take out. We enjoy the honey walnut chicken and broccoli and beef.
Great food. Have the same amazing house noodle special as china village in Dublin did before it unfortunately closed. Hope they do well at this location!
Fantastic! Loved the salt and pepper pork chop and fried rice. The Walnut prawns were insanely good! Food arrived hot (granted we’re close), fast, and was cheaper than most restaurants. Plenty of food. We have absolutely no complaints and will be ordering again soon.
I especially enjoyed the hot tea and soup before my meal.. The service was great, the food was really good. But it was really nice to be able to enjoy my cup of oolong tea during my lunch. I will come back again

I have been going to China Pavilion for many years. They have great, fast, lunch service. The dishes I have tried are all good. I enjoy that you get complimentary tea with your lunch. I have taken a number of vendors here for lunch and never had one that was disappointed.
My favorite comfort food is the House Special Soup Noodles. My family has enjoyed this menu for 40 years, mainly at the sister restaurant in Dublin. But at both locations, the service is fast and friendly, the servings are large, and the food is consistent, tasty and affordable.
Last night ordered $80 worth of food....absolutely horrible.....I do not know what has happened but the present chef SUCKS.....The mushu pork smelled rotten and the soup was all cornstarch.....the string beans were total mush and tasteless....DEFINITELY the last time here
I literally just ordered from this place. And like every time the wait is only 10 minutes for pick up! The food is consistent the service is solid and the customer service is super friendly. Love this place. I were to pick up from there at least once every two weeks. Their potstickers are the best in town!
I used to come here for lunch when I worked in Livermore, almost every day. They have great food... they have good prices...and theyre quick! The curry chicken is outstanding and Shirley says that the beef chow fun is the best shes ever had! If youre ever in Livermore on Vasco Road, you got to check it out!
They have some of the best hot and sour soup Ive ever had! I love this place and i come here often. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes the waiters can be a little pushy and dont speak the best English so I can be a little hard dealing with them sometimes. But other than that because some of the best Chinese food in Livermore.
Very expensive for the food we got. Eyelash/hair in my grandsons soup and food was not flavorful at all and cold. I ordered bar b q pork and bar b q pork fried rice to go. Pd 11 dollars and some change. Got home and only rice in back. Very disappointed.
What a trip! The dining area is immaculately clean and well-maintained, the waiter very attentive and personable, and theres even a guy at the front whose sole responsibility appears to be handling money. Everybodys wearing slacks and dress shirts. The food was unremarkable: what you ought to expect from a strip mall in a California suburb. The atmosphere blew me away, though!
It was our first time eating at China Pavilion. They were open during labor day holiday. We were in route for home from camping when hunger struck. Reviewers said food was good so we took a chance. There were six of us. After realizing we could order from the lunch menu, we ordered accordingly. Every dish came with hot & sour soup, fried wonton, and steamed white rice. The soup had plenty of flavor, a certainly good starter. Wonton was freshly fried and rice was steaming hot. Brown rice was an available option too. Anyways, everyone chose a different dish including pork ribs with black bean sauce, spicy egg plant with pork, honey walnut prawns, and Kung Pao chicken. Additionally, we also ordered house combination chow mein, and garlic stir fried spinach to share. I personally ordered curry chicken. Although others said their food was good, mine was questionable. There were more water chestnuts than chicken. The curry taste was also bit mild for my taste. I did taste the pork ribs and found it hard. Other dishes were great. So, their food is not consistent were some are good, and others not much. It almost seems like they have a couple chefs and one is better than the other. The restaurant was clean, with minimal decor. Its brightly lit by large windows, typical of shopping mall structures. The staff was friendly making sure we had water, and tea always. Service was quick and painless otherwise. We spent almost $100 for our meal. Its worth a follow-up visit the next time we are in the area.
What a nice place. I just discovered this a while back. Their food tastes so good and fresh unlike most chinese restaurants. & really great customer service. I go here once in two weeks at least now. One of my favourite restaurants :)

Weve been going there for years but have not been since The Covid. So, Friday nite was our first time back since early 2020.Good to see that the food is still great and the same staff is still there.
The Walnut prawns were as good as it gets. Service was very attentive if not a bit rushed. I will definitely go back if Im in the area to try other items and certainly understand why this place gets excellent reviews. Highly recommended.
Its not like youre everyday, run-of-the-mill restaurant. Everything is cooked to order. The vegetables are fresh and cooked perfectly. The food comes out always piping hot. Restaurant is clean, bright and spacious.

Had lunch here today. About the 6th time Ive had lunch or dinner at this Chinese Restaurant on the north side of town. Service is friendly fast and efficient. The food is very delicious,, served piping hot, my favorite being Walnut Prawns.

Very clean and proper. I walk into China Pavillion and feel like Im under dressed. Well, I probably usually am, but thats beside the point. Their hot and sour soup and their potstickers, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, boy. Just float me down the hot and sour river in a potsticker boat and Ill eat myself right to the check stand. Noodle dishes are good, and not the greasy-oily mess you get half the time at other Chinese food places. Service has always been good, and pickup orders are ready on the double.

You can tell its not super fresh (especially since our meals were ready within 5 minutes of ordering it) but hard to complain for the cost. I think the lunch pricing is spot on. Not sure Id go for dinner due to the quality and price increase. Definitely recommend for a lunch meal. Service was really good... until we got the bill. I noticed the server didnt stop to offer me a refill on my drink, even when I tried to get his attention lol.

If you only get 30 minutes for lunch and you love delicious Chinese food, this is the place to go for lunch! Every dish I have had there is good and Ive almost tried everything on the lunch menu.

2023-08-03 03:01:10We use to go to China Village in Dublin, which was very good, and they closed but he also owns China Pavillion in Livermore, so we tried it, and it is good but it doesnt come close to China Village. This is just my opinion only others might love it.

2016-12-05 05:14:11I cant go more than a few weeks without returning here because the food is so tasty. The portions are very big. The first time I had food from here I ate it at home and you get soy sauce packets plus fortune cookies but now I usually eat in as I live within walking distance and you get free unlimited tea with a teapot at your table. The food is brought out steaming hot in temperature, served faster than any other place I have eaten at, the staff are accomodating and there is never a wait for anything.My favourites include Peking Pork Chop, Shrimp with Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Pork and Orange Chicken. Unlike some Chinese restaurants the chicken is never dry/stringy and the beef is not that chewy texture but soft! I pair a noodle or rice dish like Fried Rice with Beef with a meat dish. I also like the Wontons to dip in sweet and sour sauce.
