Super delicious!The chow mein looks actually healthier than other places, its not greasy looking and it has a clean good flavor!The food over all that weve had just tastes so good and high quality. General chicken and cashew chicken.We like the canton dinner for 2, substitute the broccoli beef and sweet and sour pork for general chicken and cashew chicken. Only con is we wish the cashew chicken had water chestnuts.The location is close to our home so we like that a lot too.Tip, be sure to be very clear on the call for pick up and make sure they know to substitute and not add. Also ask the price before you hang up just to be sure.I feel like this staff take great pride in their business and food!

A few servers need some customer service training. One was on the phone (in her hand talking) as she walked us to our table, she didn’t say a word to us. Then our server acted like we were taking up her time!There was a younger man and lady who were kind and helpful, but the older ladies should stay home. The food was good and restaurant seemed clean, probably won’t return from the overall experience.Lunch special meals approx 12.95 ea. with tip around a 35-40 lunch.

The hot and sour soup was salty and too much vinegar. The tomato beef rice plate was salty and the rice was broken and old. The shrimp chow fun was also salty.Eh, I don’t understand all the great reviews. Maybe we went on a bad day.

Its really a hit and miss when we visit the capital and its surroundings.Per the other local guides, this establishment has been here for quite sometime. We are vet glad we drove around and found this local spot.We were very surprised and kinda was nostalgic for the quantity (reminded us how panda express started way back).We were satisfied with the food quality and quantity.Sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken and General tsos chicken was on point!Will go back when were in the area and to help local businesses.😷 is required upon entering, please people dont even try with i forgot my mask 🙄 its almost at the end of the year for one to forget

I strongly oppose food waste but ended up throwing the whole order of food after one bite. Fresh garlic chicken was supposed to be hot and spicy but instead it was more like mango chicken in sweet sauce with big pieces of garlic.. 🤬🤯Will never order food from here again!Also it was just the deep fried chicken in sweet sauce, no rice with it.

Xmas Eve Chinese food once again. Best tradition. This place gets busy, plan ahead. Ordered at 4, done and got text at 545. So worth it though. When you arrive, show your text and they will bring your food out. Got home and best taste ever. Sauce is good on Peking beef and general chicken. My favorite go to Chinese restaurant.

What a feast! My colleagues and I dined on the Seafood Dinner for 3. Each course was delivered in a timely manner with a smile by our server. We started with a delicious seafood soup which was followed by an appetizing accoutrement of rangoon, battered fried shrimp, ribs, and other delectables. Three very tasty and fresh seafood entrees, served family style, concluded a well-liked and satisfying meal. This was my third visit to China Villa but my first time sitting in a booth there for a meal. I will be back.

Pretty delicious. We’ve been coming here for decades. The food is always good, and I would give it five stars if they were a little more flexible. They aren’t inexpensive, and yet we always seem to have to either pay more for individual plates or end up wasting a couple things no one will eat. The service is fine, not warm and friendly, but adequate. You’ll be treated respectfully.

Im from San Diego visiting and oh how I wish this place was down there. Absolutely loved the food. Came for lunch and the portions were a great size and the prices were reasonable.I got the orange chicken plate and noodles and loved it. My mom got the traditional chicken and fried rice and it was solid.More than enough to take home and have a dinner meal. Usually Chinese food the next day is sketch but it was still good. Highly recommend!

Best Chinese food Ive had. They give huge servings, whoever says they give small servings must eat way too much... Great service, very nice people. The atmosphere is beautiful. The Honey Walnut shrimp tastes like it came from the gods. Their chow mein is thick, saucy, and full of flavor without the addition of tons of salt like some other places Ive tried.

Weve been looking for a new place for our monthly family dinners. The China Villa came highly recommended to me so I arranged for all 12 of us to be seated. It was an excellent experience. Our server was excellent. The food was hot and served in a timely manner. The portion sizes were plentiful and required take home boxes. The server was very attentive to all. Im the youngest at 63 and the oldest 92. This is a family type restaurant run by an amazing family. We have one more to checkout but I have a feeling the China Villa will be our family monthly gathering place.

Extensive menu. How about expensive menu. The honey walnut shrimp for the cost a very small portion. At most restaurants 3 times the size at half the price, the portion at Panda Express 4 times as much.(Just to give you a reference), menu states $17.00 but at $20+ I guess takeout is more (huh) you can keep it. We ordered several items enough for a little left overs. the lemon chicken was horrible the worst. The orange chicken good but a lot of fillers as in oranges and orange peels. The egg rolls expensive double the price of any restaurant I’ve been to and horrible. The fried rice big portion and ok. We came from the Bay Area where there are exceptional Chinese restaurants. So we read a few reviews, I was expecting a good experience. I get prices go up. But Panda Express was 100% better than this garbage they served. We did the take out. $137.00 for a normal $60-$80 anywhere else. The fortune cookies where stale and to thick, the crab fried wontons were soggy and poorly made. Ok I’ll stop. I will never waste my time or money ordering food from here. Oh yeah the next day I ate a bit of that big portion mixed fried rice left over. Now I know why it must of been the last of it. because I immediately became sick, throwing up and the other end the d word all day and night. Oh and asked for extra hot mustard well they didn’t put it in the order in the first place. We received the rolling of the eyes. So bad food and bad attitudes Maybe we just hit a bad day. But for me you get one shot at $137,00 expense garbage with attitude. Never again. Take your chances. I wouldn’t.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Roseville/ Rocklin area. Ever since the Chinese restaurant that I use to go to closed down over 10 years age I have been searching for a deficient replacement without any luck. Then after reading a few reviews on CV I decided to give them a try. Well for my family our search is over. The reason is because the food actually tastes like Chinese food. It has flavor and tastes good. Are there better restaurants out there for Chinese food, probably but I am not driving to the Bay area to find them. Try CV you wont be disappointed.

Ive been reading the reviews and think that I must be going here on the wrong days. Every time I eat here (at least before COVID), my wait for my food was no less than 45 minutes, and the wait for even water was 15+ minutes. The pricing is okay for a Chinese takeout restaurant but I just dont feel that it is really all its hyped to be. 3 stars because despite being slow, the staff is really nice, and their pot stickers are delicious.

We ordered the Szechuan Dinner for two and was somewhat disappointed. First, the Chow Mein has no life into it. The flavor was missing though it’s just a simple dish. We told the gentleman to hold the veggies because we knew it would be a lot, he told us that it would be less than usual, came out to be a whole handful of veggies instead. So my son didn’t enjoy that. Egg rolls were burnt and fell apart easily. The Szechuan Chicken was beyond oily. Taking it out from the bag was like playing in olive oil. It’s hard to enjoy the dish when you can taste nothing but the sauce. Almost made my arteries squeeze as I speak. Wontons were the only thing that was decent.

We came here tonight, new to the area and looking for a Chinese place close to home. The lady that sat us was our waitress. We had no idea she was our waitress. She brought us waters and DID NOT SPEAK. She came back 15 mins later and asked if we were ready to order. She never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. She rushed me through ordering so fast that I didnt even complete my order and we had to stop her from running off so we could even order drinks. Another waitress came up and asked if we were doing okay and we started to explain we never got our drinks and the waitress then came with our appetizers - but not our drinks and she said something in Chinese and just dismissed the other waitress. Then our waitress came back with our soup (no drinks still) and she sloshed it into the bowl, spilling it on the table, said okay and walked away again. Clearly she didnt want us to be there so we got up and left. Next time Ill have to try take out. The customer service was awful.

This place is my favorite restaurant and it has been for over a year. I literally go to China Villa once a week or more. I get the beef fried rice, orange chicken, and the salt & pepper calamari each time and split the food and price with friends. When I get take out I usually get the beef chow mein but all of them are amazing. If you like Chinese and Korean food you need to try this place! Tip: its best to bring two or three people with you so you can all share food and order lots of dishes.

Came in an hour before they close with my wife to take her out for dinner .....yet they wouldnt seat us. I was told to sit in the front and order takeout. While I looked at the menu, 6 or 7 groups of people came in and were all seated. All of a sudden the restaurant is half full and the hostess uncomfortably tells us we can sit down. Our server rushes us and is speaking so fast, we are rushing to order. Great food and service. I had several food items.Hot and sour soup is bursting with flavor and ingredients.The sweet corn and crab meat soup had lots of crab and corn, but was flavorless.The sweet and sour chicken, house special fried rice and beef ginger were all delicious.The highlight of the meal were the honey walnut prawns. Although the food is delicious, the customer service and hospitality deserves 0 stars for the reasons below.First, when we arrived they all decided to go on lunch while leaving the restaurant open. The restaurant sat my family down at a table and then the waitress had the audacity to ask us if we wanted to wait while they went on lunch at 3:30—really. We waited 25 to 30 minutes.Second, my wife and I had to ask for our water refilled multiple times while other customers received a much larger cup and received many refills without asking.To top it all off, one of the managers or waitresses look over my shoulder either trying to figure out if they should pick up our plates or to see if I had signed our check—rude, disrespectful and perhaps racist!!To conclude, prior to moving to Southern California, my wife and I visited the China Villa Restaurant multiple times—eating well and feeling warmly welcomed. I use Google Maps to locate this place due to the good reviews and was in close proximity of where I was working. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately and was seated to a table I place my order and amazingly the food came to me very quick and hot. This place was really busy when we arrived on a weeknight, and we were escorted back to a table quickly. Great!From there, things didnt go as well. It took a really long time for our orders to be taken, and everything after continued to be slow. We could have napped while waiting for our food, and then nothing came out together. The soup with my boyfriends combination meal didnt come out for at least 10 minutes, but really I think it was longer. Several minutes later I got the bowl of soup that I ordered as my meal. Another long gap, and finally his plate arrived.We had been finished with our meals for some time when my boyfriend approached the cashier to ask about a check. Three different employees had angry words in Chinese before we actually got our check and could pay.... And leave.The food was fine, not great, just fine. If it had been better Id consider returning to see if they had an off night. Not worth it, though. There are plenty of better Chinese restaurants in the area.

Check the actual charges when you using credit!!!I reviewed this place with very nice comment rating 4 stars. Now I change my review giving one star because that is the lowest rating I can give. When I made purchase two months ago, they wrongly charged $460 for my order (4 entrees, actual price was $60). I found it recently, and requested to them refund the remains except $60. However, at the very first time, they refused to refund. Fortunately, I still had receipt and using the receipt as proof making them refunded. If I could, Id give a 3.5 star review because I dont think its truly 4 star food, but its not necessarily 3 star either. What I do like is that their portions are big and their food is always decent and none of the dishes seem to be overly oily. While I wish there were better choices nearby, I appreciate the consistency we get here. It will scratch your Chinese food itch, but dont expect an amazing dining experience.

Horrible. Straight up Americanized. I always order the tomato beef Chow mein and it has never been consistent. The last time I ordered it you couldn’t even taste any of the sauce it was like regular chow mein and they charge $10 and there was no tomatoes barely any meat or veggies mainly all noodles. I called back to tell them and they asked me to drive all the way back and they would remake it. Ya right! We just worked all day. The last thing we want to do is make 2 trips for Chinese food.

Vety good American Chinese food, either eat in or take out. The dishes are served hot and are consistently tasty over time. Weve been dining here for years. My only caveat is when you order a dish for example, bean sprouts and garlic, or mushrooms and Chinese greens, be prepared to receive a massive amount of sprouts or Chinese greens. The name of the dish is loosely related to the quantity of other ingredients in the dish. But otherwise, very tasty didhes!

Fresh, fresh, fresh... That is the best start for this restaurant. We had the potstickers ( 锅贴 guōtiē style), Mu Shu pork (木须肉 mù xũ rōu), and Hunan beef. All of it was excellent, tasty, and fresh.As potstickers go, I have never had better. I cant say any more.The Mu Shu was fresh, hot, and loaded with all the best bits. The pancakes were thin and strong (fresh) and the plum/hoisin sauce was quite nice.The Hunan beef was good. Zucchini was crisp along with all the other veggies. The chilies were still in their dry state though. This dish had just enough fire for the average eater but I would have liked much more.All in all, the price cant be beat. These dishes along with a steamed rice and hot tea was more than two meals for two people. All said it was $30.10 +tip with great service and three take home containers for the next days lunch.This was our first time experience on an early Sunday evening. I am definitely going again.
