I can’t knock it for being a local spot but I’m not judging on that. My rating is based on food having no Szechuan character, overly sweet red sauce and water being served in a reused container from some other beverage. Wow. That was a zero effort move. Chow mein was without any redeeming quality other than bland. Szechuan tofu was the smallest portion and least flavorful. Bean was the same. I won’t write it too pointedly but for half the price you can get better fast food. Keep local makes the only sense!

A Pleasanton landmark! We have eaten at the Chinese Szechuan for many years and keep coming back. Everything is so fresh and delicious that it is our go-to takeout spot. Quick service from very personable staff. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

I LOVE this place. The food is always delicious- the beef is very tender and veggies are fresh. Reasonable prices and fast service. Lunch specials come with egg roll, fried wonton, and choice of rice

Tina and her staff make you feel very warm and invited. Super good food, my favorite is the soup Jam Bong. Great lunch portionsBetter family size portions for dinner. Favorite lunch destination even when I am not in the area - well worth the drive.

Veg chow mein had no flavor. Wife couldnt eat it. I had to soak it in soy sauce to make it bearable. Broccoli beef was worse with a nasty aftertaste. Szechuan fish was tough like sweet n sour chicken with pepper. Not worth $10 per item. Youd have to pay me to go back. Kinda feel sorry for the homeless person who finds what I threw away.

Ive been lunching here for decades, and Chinese Szechuan has always had the same, consistently delicious, quality food. The owner and wait staff are friendly, and you can tell by their jovial attitudes that they enjoy what theyre doing. This place is so great, Id give it more stars if I could. 10/10 would recommend.

I have loved this place for years. The employees are long-long term so you can really get to know them, and they make you feel SO welcome. Food is always DELICIOUS! I go here every chance I get, highly recommend.

30 years of the same family business. The best Korean-Chinese food in the Bay Area, period. Chajang meon (brown noodle), Champong (hot seafood noodle) are simply the best. I would argue that they are better than most you can find in Korea. I lived in Pleasanton in 1996-1999, and recently came back with nostalgia, and was impressed that they have been keeping the same quality for so long. Thank you!

I absolutely love Chinese Szechuan in Pleasanton!! So I started going to CS in middle school. My cousin introduced this to me and I loved it !! The food was fresh not greasy and absolutely delicious. So I was meeting my cousin for lunch & of course I had her pick up CS . Tina still works there !!!! She is very friendly and I can not believe she still remembers us . We ordered all kinds of food. Everything we ordered was delicious. I can not wait to come back . Great family who owns & runs CS . Food is delicious . Good quality.

Ill share the positives first. The owner and staff are friendly. The ambiance is nice. As for the negative... The quality of the food is totally Americanized, not very authentic. If you want the typical Chinese Americanized quality, then this place is alright. I only come here if all the other Chinese restaurants nearby are closed.

My sister and I had lunch here today for the first time. We had Salt & Pepper Pork, Kung Pao Beef, Walnut Prawns, Snow peas and mushrooms, rice and egg rolls. The portions are very generous and we are not going to have to cook for our men tonight. Everything we had to eat was just delicious. The pork and the beef were exceptional. I am most definitely a food snob and I was very impressed with this place and will be driving down on Sundays for dinner. Excellent service and very clean. Let this be a warning....that pork will become an addiction!

This is my go to Chinese restaurant in Pleasanton. The ambiance is great. Their Sizzling Rice Soup is to die for. I especially love the Crispy Chicken with Garlic sauce. They always give complimentary egg rolls and fried Wontons. Staff is always cheerful and service is efficient. If you are a lover of chinese food and you haven’t been here, you are missing out!

The Best Chinese Szechuan you will every find! I’ve been all over the country and tried many restaurants but they have all been ruined for me because every time I can’t help but say “ this is no where as good as the Chinese Scechuan Restaurant of Pleasanton CA!” Every item is amazing and top notch but I think the lemon chicken is my favorite dish. Also the staff is amazing and they are phenomenal at making you feel like family. I can’t wait to go again, Keep being great!

My wife and I love this restaurant. Best Chinese in all of Pleasanton. The service is great and so is the menu. The staff is so nice and remember you when you return. Food is really good and theres plenty to share. We always come back from more.

Looked at the menu online and placed called to place an order noted as below and with the prices advertised online next to the item. I went to pickup and they wanted over 100 dollars for the food that totalled only about 50-60 according to their men . They told me they dont have a menu online. I pulled it up and showed them their menu on google and they said someone else put that there... so I walked out and ordered food at Andy and Yus - same food - 80 buck . Less than these guy . This place is absolutely ridiculous and very unprofessional. False advertising - AVOID.1. LARGE WONTON SOUP $7.95 per menu online2. BEEF CHOW MEIN x2 $11.90 (5.95x2)3. SWEET AND SOUR PORK $7.954. Food was excellent although the definitions of the food wasnt typical of what we found in the Northwest. When we asked about whether a particular dish was correct we got a Welcome to California which wasnt really appreciated since we werent complaining about it, just asking.

I love Szechuan food (and can distinguish Szechuan from Cantonese and Beijing/Shanghai cuisine) . Saw the rave reviews and decided to try it out. Make no mistake - this is a New York style restaurant, i.e. Kung-Pao chicken, Orange Chicken, Hot and Sour soup, Fried egg rolls with duck sauce ..etc etc. ..run-of-the mill place. . . More Americaneze than Chinese. Nothing Szechuan about this place. Every sauce is thickened with a ton of corn starch. The Szechuan dishes are basically deep fried meats in bland sauce. yuck! Disappointed in the reviewers who think they had authentic Chinese.
