First time here, the food is delicious, Took a while to bring the food out but it was fresh and worth the wait. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Best Chinese food in Temecula. Everything is so authentic!

Been going to Chins for almost 5 years but today it was horrible. Had schecuan spicy chicken to go and it was horrible. See the pictures. I never ate such bad food from this place in last 5 years. Look at the mushroom floating in the food. Sorry Mr Chins, you lost a customer today.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Chinese food. Had the cumin beef and cashew nut chicken. The beef dish was a traditional Chinese dish executed perfectly. Good bold cumin flavors, with some spice. Egg rolls we good crispy and fresh Ingredients.

We absolutely loved the soft, elegant atmosphere. Perfect date venue. The food was beautifully prepared and very generous portions. I’m sensitive to salt so my dish of shrimp egg foo yung was a little heavy with soy sauce but my husband’s dish, Mongolian beef, was not, might just be me. Also, I make mine with bean sprouts and celery with shrimp inside, they made their egg patty with rice and shrimp in sauce outside. Again, it was tasty and well prepared, but not as I expected. Still, I would definitely return and choose a different dish next time.

In my opinion the best and most authentic Chinese food in Temecula. I’ve been coming here for years and the wait staff have always been friendly and attentive. The food is flavorful and portions are a perfect size to share with the whole table or the lunch special at which is great for everyone to get individual plates. The wonton soup is my favorite it’s always filled to the brim with ingredients. The place is always clean and they are quick to sit you down and get your food.

As always Chin’s Gourmet was delish! We decided on individual meals this time instead of family style. I had the Hunan Chicken dinner, my boyfriend had the Hunan Fish dinner. They both came with hot and sour soup, not my favorite, I prefer egg drop soup, rice and an egg roll. Both of our dinners were hot and tasty. If you like black bean sauce you’ll love these. Mary was our server She is always so helpful and kind.

I live in Bellevue where theres plenty of great Chinese food throughout the city. While visiting the Temecula area this week I had a friend tell me that its hard to find places that serve great Chinese food. This is one of those places.I ordered the crispy tangerine beef and Chinese chicken salad for takeout. Upon arrival a waiter was thoughtful and attentive during our short discussion. I did take a moment to look around and the interior location is great for a dining experience.Soon after I was happy when I took my first bite. The crispy tangerine beef was absolutely delicious and while I plan to make two meals out of it I ended up almost eating all of it in a few minutes because I couldnt help myself.The chinese chicken salad was also good. I wish I ordered a few traditional Chinese items to get a better idea of how good their dumplings and other items are.Ill be back for more and highly recommend this restaurant.

If you like this kind of food then you have to treat yourself to this restaurant. The food is excellent and so is their service. Every dish is freshly made and executed very well. No this is not typical buffet food, its genuine dining and full service.

Sesame beef was not spicy, too sugary and bland. Hunan scallop was very disappointing too. Food was lukewarm ( temperature wise). The decor is nice. I hope that more attention will be paid to the spices, temperature and presentation ! Will not go back unfortunately.

This place is LEGIT. Crispy Beef is my jam. And this was one of the best I’ve had. Not sure where the high reviews are coming from, this place tremendously missed the mark. The soup that comes with the meal is overly seasoned, like salty and sour inedible. The chicken for kung pow chicken was chewy, such a bad texture. The rice was bland for “fried rice”, it was just rice with soy sauce. And the prices??? Wild they charge those steep prices for terrible food. I wouldn’t eat here again even if I was starving.

There is traditional Chinese food in the Temecula city. We almost tried all of so called “Chinese restaurant “ in this city. Finally, we found Authentic Chinese Food last month. I am so happy to recommend this restaurant if you really want to eat traditional Chinese food.

We ordered from the take out menu and frankly we were not impressed. Our sampling included egg rolls, tangerine crispy chicken, general Taos chicken, assorted wonton soup, and plum tree beef. The beef and chicken dishes were over cooked. The won ton soup lacked taste, it was actually boring. The dish servings were over priced. The quality is on par with fast food.

My family and I thought the food was absolutely fantastic we got the Mongolian beef with all green onions no white onions because I dont think Mongolian beef should have white onions but the flavor of the meat was fantastic we also had the tangerine peel beef which was excellent crispy delightful great great great sauce we also had some other beef I dont remember and it was great and the red shrimp everything was fantastic it was our 2nd time in 2 nights eating there we had to go back the following day it was just that good.

The king Pao Beef and Braised Green beans were the hits out of 10 dishes, but ALL WERE DELICIOUS.Mr Chin was there during our family Birthday Celebrations on a Wednesday EVENING, party of 12. The food at Chin’s tastes like the food in Chinatown in NY! (We’re from CT). Very traditional Chinese flavors, so delicious! Near perfection. The service is outstanding as well. We did not make it to Chins this past Christmas vacation; lots of colds being passed around😫. But my California family goes on the regular. It is the best I’ve had in California by far.

Best traditional Chinese food restaurant in the area! The staff is extremely friendly, and the food is hands down the best Chinese food in Temecula. The plum tree beef is incredible, its crispy thin strips of tender beef in a mildly sweet plum sauce. The dining environment is very upscale and beautiful as well. The prices are also very reasonable for the amount of high quality food you get too.

I have not dined here as of yet, but I plan to. I have only ordered take out. When I pick up my order, I often look in the dining area and it looks very nice. Slightly old school but nice. I like it, because, it reminds me of the Chinese restaurants I went to when I was a kid. It also brings back memories when I lived in Taiwan. The food is excellent. Since I lived in Taiwan, I expect traditional tasting Chinese food. While a lot of the cuisine is geared towards Americans, it still has that home cooked taste or flavor. This restaurant is not a victim of commercialization like others. The service is great and the staff is polite.

Visiting here from Vancouver where it is full of Chinese food, this restaurant surprisingly stood out. The dishes were ready shortly after order and cooked in the transitional way, reminding me of the flavor from my hometown. The service is also a thumbs up, the 2 servants handled about 10 tables, and everything was in order with no delay. Highly recommend!

This place is pretty damn amazing for Riverside County. Their wonton soup is handmade and out of this world good! The house fried rice is great as well. I always get the shrimp and scallop with veggies special, bomb amazing! Is it the same amazing as a Chinese restaurant in Hells Kitchen, no. However, for a family owned, small town Chinese place it’s really really good.

Nice old fashioned sit down restaurant. No alcoholic drinks listed on menu but when I asked waitress if they serve alcohol she replied Yes, beer and wine. What you want? Um, a list of options would be nice. Food was either super salty or super sweet. House fried rice was excellent. Sichuan or Szechuan? This place is neither. They allude to having Sichuan dishes but in fact they dont even have the Sichuan pepper in their dishes. In fact, the dish I ordered, Ku Ting Chicken was everything but spicy. This might be hillbilly ignorance on my part but I thought my dish would have spice. Instead it was somewhat sour. Infact, the hot & sour soup had no heat but just a little sour. I took one sip and passed it on to my wife. The wife had the Chicken Chow Fun. Yes, it is the beef chow fun but instead substituted the beef for chicken. She said it was pretty good but liked Chef Ks better, even though Chef K serves their chow fun only with beef. Price is ok for lunch specials. They come with a cup of soup, about half an order of the main dish, rice and a wee egg roll. The Chicken Chow Fun only came as a stand alone dish and rang the register at $14.95. Lunch specials are $11.95. Service is good and the ambiance inviting. Chins Gourmet has been around for awhile. They can step up their game in which I would award more stars. First impressions: three stars.

Good water, good service, thats about it. You are better off going to a take out Chinese joint for the cost to quality ratio. We got the pan fried noodles and brocolie beef and Our food tasted like it was reheated from yesterdays cooking.$5 noodles and bar is also a lie as they say they dont do that anymore dispite the sign.

We were a party of three, there were several open tables, and the waitress told me there was a waiting time between 15 to 20 minutes because there were no tables available,she did not make any attempt to accommodate us, we just walked out and waitress did not seem to care, possibly food was good, however food and good customer service go together, one star for poor customer service

Pretty much everything weve ordered here was great with the exception of one plate, the crispy beef plate (too salty & was like eating hard fried beef). That was not to our taste at all, but the owner made good on it and gave us a delicious free different beef dish the following time we came in.ONE GRIPE: They dont have Brown Rice for their customers. Every other Chins brand restaurant weve been to has Brown Rice option. I REALLY would like that here too!!

The food was good and was very fresh. Ordered it to be delivered and it was just as good as if I was to eat at the restaurant. Only thing that was missing was some of that awesome MSG that my Uncle Roger loves so much. Maybe next time I will ask for extra MSG so I can have more flavor. My family’s favorite chinese place for years & years. We go here for birthdays, celebrations, and whenever we feel like we deserve a nice dinner. The owner & staff are always super kind and we always have the best food! I tried the tofu with mushrooms and spinach when i was vegetarian, and even now that i eat meat me and all my carnivore family members still love it. This place is a gem!

Sad to say the quality has gone downhill here. My family has frequented this location for years when theyre all in town, but this experience fell really flat. The food was not up to the usual standards we expect, and none of us were interested in eating very much. Not to mention there were dozens of gnats at our table which doesnt help the appetite, and leaves you wondering how bad it might be in the kitchen. We decided we wont be returning.

We dined in the afternoon and there wasnt any customers except for our party of (6) 3 couples. My husband and I ordered something simple, Lo mein w/shrimp and Chicken fried rice, because we find doing covid19 most restaurants are running at 70% due to minimal staffing and clientele. Needless to say the food did not taste authentic it wasnt cooked with passion it was bland as if they were skimping on seasonings and sauces. Im not sure if I will be back again.

Service was beyond excellent; we would never left waiting. We were told our steam dumplings could take 15-20 minutes, and they kept us appraised the entire time. Making sure we were okay with the wait, and offering to bring the rest of our food out sooner. They were more concerned with the wait than we were! And it was well worth the wait, I can promise you, delicious and satisfying with the combination of sauce and spice offered with.And it didnt stop there, tea pot and water glasses were kept full, and never empty for long. The owner stopped and personally chatted with us. And then went beyond expectations and asked to up grade my simple shrimp dish, promising I have never had this shrimp before. And they were right, the red shrimp dish was absolutely mouthwatering delicious.Family style served plates made it easy to share and try my friends dishes. Their duck was just as delicious, through I was rather reluctant to share my red shrimp after the first bite.Highly, highly recommend. While there are some pricey $20 dishes; there are more affordable meals, that fit your budget and still just as delicious. My friends and I will absolutely go back and recommend Chins Gourmet for wonderful service, food and atmosphere.

Ive ordered the tangerine chicken and chicken chow mein. The chow mein was meh at best and the tangerine chicken, didnt taste like tangerine at all! It tasted like reused for days oil. Because of how expensive it was, I forced myself to eat it despite knowing Ill be making my run to the bathroom shortly which did happen. Reason for 2 stars because the guy running the front was super nice and looked like he was doing jobs meant for multiple people. Ive moved out here and have been experiencing different restaurants and as my first experience here, I wouldnt be coming back. Way too expensive just to end up with not so tasty food!

I hate giving a bad review but theres nothing gourmet about this place. The dumplings were previously frozen, not hot at all, the kids teriyaki chicken sticks were dry & hard the roll that came with it was warm & mushy, the Crab Ragone was cold in the middle, my husbands Treasures of the Sea was was flavorless, bland. I wasnt a fan of our older waitresses either, she was rude ( language barrier aside) even the ribs appetizer, the dipping sauce was watery and tasted like Ketchup... They did take the balerly eaten kids dinner off the bill. I will say if you choose to visit this place The Steamed fish Ginger & Scallions was delicious, the place is clean. However I picked this place for Our Anniversary and we will not be coming back

I was stuck in heavy traffic on Jefferson, so when I saw the sign for a restaurant Id never noticed before, I decided to check it out. I had fried shrimp as an appetizer and really enjoyed them. Then I ordered the Red Red Shrimp, which are braised shrimp in a wonderfully spicy red sauce. They were awesome. And the portions were very generous. My service was excellent and I never had to wait to have my water glass, tea pot, or Diet Coke to be refilled. I cant wait to go there again and try out some of the other specialties of the house.

I enjoyed a quiet dinner while on business travel at this restaurant. It was a slow business night being a Tuesday evening. The dining room had dim lighting for a very relaxed/intimate environment. Oh. My. Word. I tried Chins one night on a whim, and went back two more times that week, and once a week since then. Everything about it is fantastic. The decor is attractive and understated, the music is all instrumental and kept at a low volume, and the staff treats you more like a guest in their home than like a customer. And the food! The food is absolutely incredible. Everything I have tried so far has been delicious. I especially recommend the beef lo mein; the beef in it is quite possibly the single greatest thing I have ever eaten. This is the very best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to, and is cheaper than I would expect for such quality food. I cant say enough about how much I love this place!

Great Chinese food. Everything I have ever gotten here has been delicious. My wife loves the black pepper chicken. The cumin flavored beef, the honey walnut shrimp, and the fried rice with Taiwanese sausage are my favorites. Its always hard to decide what to get the stuff I know I love or something new.This is a quiet place too. I feel bad since my 1 year old and 3 year old are the loudest and rowdiest patrons there but it is nice to get a nice quiet dinner. The staff is always nice even though my kids are so crazy.

Dirty glass on the table. Would not substitute tofu for chicken in the pan fried soft noodle dish. They have tofu on the menu. This is not good service.When I asked the manager about this, she said they can’t because it would leave them with a half-opened package of tofu. Really? You’re so bad at managing your food cost and food handling you can’t manage open packages? We would have paid extra if given the chance. Is the cost worth upsetting your guests and causing them not to return?I now understand why there was no wait on a Friday night. If you’re vegetarian, you have limited choices here and they won’t make exceptions for you.We wont be back.

Something changed here. We loved this place. Tasted great as usual but tonight was a disappoinment. Same higher end price but very small portions, way less than we have experienced in the past. The $15 plates of chicken were good for about 1 person each. We always had left overs to go. The steamed rice is not included with the dinner meal anymore either. Not at all worth the price based on tonight. Although what was odd is the two different chinese families seated near us recieved the normal huge portions...weird. We wont be back.

Bad customer service at this restaurant. I placed an online order and when I called to cancel they informed me that my order was already being made and couldnt cancel. So I wasnt able to get my full refund. The restaurant had knowledge of my order that was going to be canceled and the proceeded to continue making it. Chin’s Gourmet has the investment to a very nice set up, and it shows. Elegant beyond similar Chinese competitors, right away one expects to pay more, and it is so. They are very tight in the amounts, starting with the much smaller plates in which entrees are dispensed. That would not be an issue, if indeed superior quality food was served, but after several visits we finally realized, without a trace of a doubt, that their food lack gourmet skills. Bland, unsophisticated food, does not merit $18.95 cost. We decided is such a hit and miss situation, that whoever does the cooking is just an average cook, and that most likely their food as as good as it will ever be. They have an extensive menu, so I am not insinuating that every single selection is just so so. I am just saying that generally their food is nothing to admire, and if it helps a little, Chinese food in the area is never exceptional, just average. This time we ordered two seafood dishes, both valued at $18.95, from their specialty section, and both, besides the fact that one included fake crab, were barely acceptable plus very small. Ordered also a Shrimp Fried Rice, and the rice was old. What gourmet place is going to serve yesterday’s rice. The steamed rice was even more noticeably stale. Must say their Won Ton Soup was better, and their Salt & Pepper wings were okey. Maybe they are trying their best, based on their cooking skills, but Chin’s Gourmet is not a 5 Star place. Consistent good food is not the norm, and it kind of shows with the number of patrons. Better than Panda Express, but not a powerhouse of good Chinese food, and that is for sure. 3 Stars.

Everything was delicious 5/5, some things pleasantly salty, some spicy and sweet, also with unusual flavored spices you might not recognize but will enjoy. The service was fast, friendly and the food piping hot. We really enjoyed the fried wings with a hint of anise or fennel and garlic, the filet mignon in pepper sauce, the eggplant hot pot, egg foo young, and burning pork. Very very slow service. Then they brought out one plate at a time. It was about 10 minutes in between each plate. My wife was done eating before the last plate arrived. I will say the food was delicious. It took so long that one of our guests had to leave before her plate showed up and we had to bring it home in the box so she can eat it later. $100 not well spent.

Mr Chin is a delight! We were raggedy from traveling, we were reluctant to visit, Chin welcomed us warmly. He talked to us for a while and brought us what he thought we would enjoy. He was right on. I had a gorgeous beef dish, Hub had scallops and Nana had shrimp. Everything was fresh, meats were tender, veggies crisp.Now, this restaurant is not inexpensive, but well worth the price. We will visit again!

This place is a hidden gem! There arent that many Chinese places in the Murrieta/Temecula area, and the ones that are around arent that good, but this place is fantastic!The atmosphere of the place is really nice and classy. They did a very good job in making the place look good. The tea they give you right when you sit is fantastic! The food was also absolutely phenomenal (I personally ordered the Spicy Honey Chicken). I guarantee you will love this place when you try it out!

We were greeted by smiling faces walking in the door. The dining room was elegant and warm with Chinese statues and artifacts lit by a dim red light. The noodles tasted as if they were cut from fresh pasta dough just cooked and tossed in a saute pan with fresh snow peas and light seasoning sauce. The kung pao tofu was fried crispy but spongy inside, perfectly glazed and tossed with peanuts carmized in the spicy sauce. It was an excellent experience that left my wife and I smiling, especially knowing that we found a gem right down the street!
