Just as good as before. Everything had great flavor. Dim sum appetizer. Cant decide what app to share, this was a good choice. Shared full size, orange chicken, pepper beef, roasted duck and three way fried noodles. Limited time salad offering, mango, feta cheese. Get it! All tasty. Parking is always a challenge.

August 2022. Wow! Exceptional quality, service and cleanliness. Loved my visit here and we shall return. Very friendly staff. The place was very busy during lunch which tells you a lot about the taste. We tried the chow mien, garlic shrimp, Kong Pao chicken, fried rice. All were delicious. 5 STARS well deserved. :)

We really enjoy dining at CHI restaurant in Northridge, Ca. On this evening we had a party of 7 to celebrate 2 of our siblings birthdays.We ordered 7 different meals plus a couple of appetizers and we all got to sample each dish. Chi and her son Marco pay attention to every detail, and not just the recipes and food presentation. The upscale decor and overall cleanliness make for a very enjoyable. All of us walked away satisfied. Special thanks to our, waiter Joe for making this a memorable experience.

We used to go here quite a bit but it had been several years; picked up an order yesterday. Had a fish dish which was very nice while the shrimp har gow was okay; vegetable chow mein was nice but a bit wet; egg rolls were small and very expensive for that size. Green beans were tasty though somewhat overcooked, we had asked for sauce on the side but they said it came with it-bad idea, way too much sauce.Overall I would say there are several dishes to try and I believe the quality of food is quite good. Ill definitely get the steamed fish again.

Mongolian beef is exceptionally good, tender beef with the right amount of seasoning. Not too sweet with full flavor. Kung Pao chicken was way too hot in a good way. Definitely, I am bringing my family here.

The women staff (young cashier and older waitress) both amazing. Older lady was so kind. First time there and their appetizer shrimp rolls (deep fried) are so GOOOOD. Attended lunch after my son college graduation ceremony from Northridge College as he loves chinese food & it was nearby. The food was great, from the chicken corn soup to the shi mai dumplings appetizers. The string beans shrimp was cooked just right, crispy. Orange chicken was sweet, walnut shrimp had nicely toasted walnuts. Our servers were fantastic. Always made sure our drinks were full & that we had what we needed. Its just too bad we came from far & may not visit again soon, but definitely recommend this place

I had a taste for some walnut shrimp so I found this place on Google search.It did not disappoint. It was perfect. I just finished the rest of it for lunch. Your reviews helped me find my new fave spot.Back to my dinner. We had the calamari and chicken wings for an appetizer and the garlic fried rice and walnut shrimp for entrees. It was almost closing time and the service was still top notch. Cant wait to try a few other things on the menu.

Ive been going to Chis since my days at CSUN back in the 90s. The food is still BOMB! Dont get down to Northridge much, but when I do, I have to hit up Chis. I used to live around the corner on Amigo Ave. so this place was a weekly treat. Nothing has changed but the decor. The food still taste the same and it was piping hot! The portions were not as big as I remember, but the taste?! Oooh Baby! So good. I took my kid and my Mom. We had shrimp fried rice, chicken chow mein, garlic chicken, Mongolian beef, orange chicken and my kid wanted to try char siu bao (I hope the spelling is right). Nostalgic eating was commencing folks. Just yummy in my tummy. 😋❤️

One of the best Chinese Food places in the valley. Idk if its the type of msg or oil they use (which ofc is never healthy but comes with the cuisine) but I always feel best after eating Chis compared to other Chinese restaurants in the Area. I feel less bloated after dinner here compared to others. I like their peanut sauce, Thai tea, and crab wontons. The main courses are good quality, meat tastes fresh and texture is good. Probably my favorite for this style Chinese in the area.

I have no idea how this was my first time here but it wont be my last. The food was absolutely delicious. I came for lunch with a friend and we shared the beef chow main and the sweet and sour chicken. The food came fast, was hot, and super tasty. They share a large parking spot with other restaurants but there is plenty of parking which is a plus in my book.

Chis is an upscale, healthier Chinese restaurant. Weve enjoyed Chis food for well over a decade and continue to come now that theyve expanded and upgrade. We like this place because their food is outstanding, their service is great and the menu selections leave nothing to be desired. The only thing we dont care for is they dont included tea with the dinners. Before the expansion this was included.Meanwhile, Id recommend this place to everyone. Its more expensive than some of the other Chinese restaurants, but we come here anyway for the quality. In a decade weve never had a bad meal or service. Regardless what you order (and weve ordered it all) its going to be good.

To start, the area has ample amounts of parking and is located in a cute plaza.Chis is easy to find, and I was quick to be seated, and introduced to the menu. The appetizer and entree were both fabulous and reasonably priced. The wait staff were quick with drink refills and the food arrived in a timely fashion after I gave my order.If I am in the area again, I plan to stop by for lunch. I would have included photos but I admittedly dove into my food before thinking to snap a picture. Maybe next time!

Chis is hands down my favourite restaurant of all time. Doesnt matter if its for dine in, or take out. Good atmosphere, great staff. Food is always delicious! My ONLY complaint is Im not in their delivery radius, so I have to order through Postmates (which takes a sizable amount of profit from them). If you want good Chinese food in the Valley, this is it.

Due to COVID they have no dining indoors, or outdoors, however the service was great, the food came out quick, and the price was very reasonable. I think Chis is the best Chinese restaurant ever. I take my employees there once every month or two for a quick company lunch, and I sometimes take my wife there for dinner. The Kung Pao chicken is good, the prices are good, the soups are good, the teas are good. The owner is a really nice hard-working guy, and the servers are polite. The only minus is that sometimes there is a 15-minute wait, but its not really a minus. That means the restaurant is good.

I gave them three stars, not because of food wasnt good, for it was. But, I started to choke stood up, and almost passed out. Gave by thank God my son was there to give me a heimlich. Standing there trying to get my composure after knocking over several dishes and still choking a bit, not one of the people from came over to see if I was okay from the restaurant staff. I felt that was very bad on their part. I also being a military vet and senior citizen are they should have given a discount for that alone. Staff must be more cognizant of whats happening at their tables.

Great little restaurant tucked away in a nice little strip mall off of Reseda. My husband and I have been looking for a great lttle Chinese Restaurant since we moved out of Vegas 4 years ago and finally found it. The decor is pretty and contemporary, the food is FRESH and the service was fantastic. Lots of attention to detail. This will be our new place.

The food is bland, blah and the duck was dry and stale tasting -- when I mentioned this to the owner, he laughed and said they only cook duck every few days and so maybe mine was old. I discovered Chis 2 years ago, also introduced family and friends. Never a problem with the quality of foodHowever, my last visit was a surprise. Most times I order the Mongolian Beef lunch which I did this time. To my surprise the server said there will be a $2.00 charge...huh!!!!!! their explanation was they have to add more beef..Scallions are not a filler nor do they add a substantial addition to the beef. I look at it as a garnish. Since this is the first time they wanted to add a $2.00 charge I complained. As a favor they said they would let it pass this time.My Mongolian beef lunch was served and the serving of the beef was sparse. Not the usual generous servings I have in the past received.I think this is ridiculous, petty and for sure a poor business decision. How can scallions be considered a reason to charge $2.00 to add more beef..I can see charging extra for a substitute item..not eliminating a food item.

Fast service and not too expensive. Parking is hard to find would be the only fall back. Come early before dinner rush hour.

I have to say that we were so skeptical about trying this place because Chinese food is not my favorite, but it did not disappoint. It was clean and the bathrooms were clean which says a lot about the restaurant. The food was excellent! We had orange chicken and kung pao chicken and a curry chicken dish. We also go for their salads, velvet chicken, pepper beef, dumplings, and shrimp in lobster sauce. My pan fried noodles were dry and burnt. Barely any meat in my chow mein, and it was supposed to be a combination of three meats. I had to search to find even one tiny shrimp. The BBQ pork was oily. Everything was bland. Im disappointed I spent my money on gross food. Ill never go back.
