Quirky cafe that is part of a small regional chain with about 5 locations that has been around for more than 15 years now. There is a large indoor dining area, as well as a patio with heaters and a fire pit for when it gets cold. This particular location is an odd mixture of quirky cafe and upscale to match the community around it. This covers both the decor and the food. I had a zucchini and goat cheese pizza that was cooked in a wood fire pizza oven and it was quite good. The rest of my family enjoyed salads and sandwiches that were appreciated and also included some unique flair. Prices are on the higher end of moderate, but the quality of the food was good. Lots of good info on their website to help you make your decision.
Its a little overpriced, but probably not for Danville. The lamb burger is fantastic, served with tzanziki and dripping with juice. The crisp, savory skinny- fries are always great. Friendly staff and really relaxed atmosphere.
Our favorite Chow restaurant with wide open table spacing and the nicest servers you can ask for. We always feel at home here, with laptops or with friends, for breakfast or dinner. Wonderful place all around. Visit it!
Reasonably priced for the fresh and local food. The entire menu is good. Oh! And dont leave without some pie, went there for my birthday with my family. We all shared a few pieces and none of them disappointed. Something for everyone to eat.

Chow manages to mix New Age design and exemplary food quality without compromise.The location is unique and fun, quirky lighting and restaurant layout make every visit seem like a new experience.The restaurant seems to have an American theme to their food. Which is to say that there doesnt seem to be a theme at all. You can find Italian to Chinese food on their menu and be assured that both choices will leave you satisfied.
Chow is a great restaurant with good service. We have been to their location many times, their lamb burgers are excellent, as well as their pastas. Unfortunately, carry out service can be a little slow, otherwise we would go more.
Great atmosphere, and food is pretty good as well. My favorite was the chocolate malt which was AMAZING, but was kinda small :( but you can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is great for bringing the whole family because they have lots of room inside and a few spots outside.
The food is amazing! The atmosphere is lovely and you can taste how fresh all the ingredients are. From the organic eggs to the fresh butter. Definitely a great place for brunch.
If youre looking for a new and fresh dinning experience then Chows the place. The menu is unique and the food is always top notch. The Smiling Noodles are by far my favorite. (Be sure to ask for some extra bread to soak up the sauce) You wont be disappointed.
Very warm feeling/cosy and comfortable place. Nice place to have a chilled out meal. Great for families. TVs at bar are tiny so dont go there expecting to watch a game.
Just okay. Nice casual atmosphere but I thought the food was fairly bland. Had the lasagna and it was very marginal. Tried the Thai noodles which were OK but not great. Better places to go in the area.
They have the best brunch in this area hands down. Their eggs Benedict is heaven and their French toast is incredible... Finally I hate pancakes, but I love Chows :)
Hadnt been to the Chows in Danville, but have to Lafayette. I prefer the rapport and vibe of Lafayette better. We went for late breakfast...okay, but not special. It was kid-friendly, though.
The Good: Great tasty food, love the staff, lots of seating. The Bad: Disorganized or non-existent front desk staff, can get noisy, too bright at night.
The menu was not very exciting, the food was just ok and the price was high. Neither my friend nor I will eat there again. We both work in Danville and eat there most weekdays. We had eaten there several times before with the same reaction, but thought we would give it another try. We are done with them!
Food is okay but a little bit overpriced. Service is friendly but often slow and unreliable. Nice atmosphere inside and outside. Would get more stars but for slow service and inconsistent food preparation.
Had the pancakes they were good, but not the better than Attilas. Forgot our drink order...water was slow to refill and to splashy when the did come.
Great fresh food and amazing service. Having a child with allergies, the hostess was really great at making sure everything was just fine for our child. We will be back.

The food is a cut above. The fish is always really fresh. The desserts are not overly sweet, just delicious.

Surprisingly small breakfast menu for the restaurant size. Portions are also very small considering the price. Staff was friendly but there is nothing special about the restaurant or food that you cant find at other places in downtown Danville.

2018-01-21 17:56:46Looking forward to a nice breakfast since I have construction going my house and I have no kitchen.Very disappointed!🙁The food at Chow is good but the service is very very very poor!!!!!!!!I sat down and waited to be served but no one came. Two other tables, who sat down after me, were served but not me. I finally had to ask for service.My egg veggie scramble was good but cold. I like my eggs hot. They either sat too long before service or they put them on a cold plate.The bacon was so dried out it was not even eatable. The waitress should have notice it before she served it. She should of asked if it was acceptable. She never came back to ask me how everything was. I finally had to ask her to bring an other order of bacon that was cook properly. I wanted to send everything back but I have a hard time doing that. I feel I had legitimate reasons but the staff always looks at you as a picky customer.I also had to ask for coffee refills.I don’t usually right reviews or complain but my experience at Chow was so bad thought I should write.

2018-06-10 20:47:41Food was excellent as usual but the service on Mothers Day left something to be desired. A busboy was our server. My daughters coffee cup had lipstick on it, and two of the five orders were wrong and one of those came cold and late.

Tables are pretty close together, so its a bit cramped. They have a pretty big menu. Overall, lunch there was good, but the environment wasnt so great.

2017-08-13 14:58:13Waited a really long time for food. Other tables that were seated after us received their meals way before us. When meal was delivered, lettuce in Caesar salad had brown edges. This was not a busy time, we were there about 11:45am and there was hardly any patrons. Also, management staff was not very apologetic or accommodating.

2013-08-04 05:34:26The food is superficially simple, but its all organic and tastes good. The decor is interestingly French country with a live tree inside the restaurant itself. Its highly kid friendly, and theyll swap the fries for a number of healthy alternatives - just ask. They have difficulty keeping stocks of cider, for some random reason.It can be busy, but the wait is seldom longer than 15 minutes I find. Parking on days when there is a downtown event or the farmers market on Saturday lunchtime can be tricky.The wait staff are usually very friendly and quick to correct an error. On a summer day or night the patio is nicely shaded and fire-pitted.If you like ginger, the ginger cake with pumpkin ice-cream is to die for. A favorite go to is the thai chicken salad in any of its three sizes. The chicken noodle soup (ask for extra bread) is good, honest stuff (and Im not usually a soup person).
