Chris Korean BBQ in Pasadena

This is the place if you are hungry, have a huge appetite. The place to go if you like to sit at your table and cook your own meat.Ordering the 3 to 4 person meat menu is going to cost you about $30.00 a person not including beverages. You get salad with toppings, rice bowl, two souos to pick from, and glass noodles .Unless you made a reservation the day before it is likely you will wait about 20 minutes to get in.Service and the people working there were helpful and great. Food was also very good.

It’s our first time back since the pandemic. The place was busy, all tables were occupied including outside seating. There were only 2 people taking orders but there were more than a few bringing food to the tables. Their exhaust system was pretty powerful, it was not smoky when we were there.We ordered the premium all you can eat menu which came with seafood. The shrimp and marinated spicy squid were fresh and delicious. The marinated galbi and joo mul luk galbi were out favorites. The salad and banchan were ok but the vegetable pancake was crispy and not too greasy.It was an enjoyable meal. Kudos to Justyce for her cheerful demeanor despite the hard work.

There is no reminder that everyone needs to pay for the lunch meal. When a friend came to dine, the waitress simply assumed that he would be charged an extra portion without explaining it in advance, and there was no extra meal after charging. Also the attitude of the waitress is very average, communication is difficult, it takes several times to order something.

Very nice restaurant, even better than some of Korean bbq places in the K-town!But, they should really change GRILLING PLATESㅡsome plates were nice, but some had scratches and the coating was quite peeled off so that the meat gets stick on. Once in Korea this became a huge issue among customers because grilling meat on a plate with scratches may produce harmful chemicals, and many restaurants became aware of the condition of their grilling plate. It would be better if they periodically replace old ones to new ones or change the current black-coated plates to those made of stainless steel. This is my reason for 5-1 stars.But -1 rather because I really like here. Apart from the grilling plate issue, its an excellent place. The music is not too loud and just perfect. Both indoor and outdoor grilling sites are cozy. Good service and good meat quality. Reasonable price and good portion. Plus, the banchans, stone pot bibimbap, japchae, egg jjim, and the jjigaes are also very authentic and delicious. Its so fortunate that I have this nice restaurant near my place. :)

I have read positive reviews about this place but had never eaten here. The food was excellent and the meats wonderfully marinated. The variety of what you get when you order one of three combination options is extremely abundant. The sides which accompany the neat orders were exceptional particularly the fish cake. I would highly recommend Chris.

Been coming here for years, excellent service and great options. Definitely my favorite KBBQ place, also much more chill atmosphere than other ones that tend to be loud and dark.This one is bright, and clean.

It was my first time trying Korean BBQ, and the food was delicious. We did the all you can eat and sampled a bunch of things, each better than the last. The staff were friendly and speedy. I will definitely go here again.

I usually go to ktown when Im craving kbbq, but my friends convinced me to give Chris a try. The food here is good and definitely satisfied my kbbq craving and saved 20 minutes on the drive. The service here could be a little better. When I came it took forever for someone to even talk to me to get seated and there were plenty of tables available. Sometimes it look a little extra effort to get things on our table refilled. Overall pretty good though, I would come here again.

Great quality and atmosphere for all you can eat restaurants. Additional points for carrying and showing live UCL Champions League games on several large screen TVs. Something you dont even see in some sports bars, now that these games are on paid streaming platforms.

Really enjoyed our dinner. So many great choices. It was a little warmer in there than Id like, but they had those cookers going on a majority of the tables, so it wasnt their fault. It is someplace Id go again for sure.
