2024-02-18 06:34:49Went there with our friends this week - positive side: friendly staff, newly renovated, stunning plates and bowls - they are so pretty! All tvs are working :)It was interesting that 口水鸡did not use more chili oil but had chili paste on it - so make sure you spread it on the bone in chicken thigh pieces. The taste was decent. And I liked that they gave us the thigh than the chicken breast.Warning: 毛血旺tasted like Chinese medicine, which ruined the whole dish. Something was off and we suspected it was the bean sprouts being over fermented - just tasted not fresh. We may consider coming again but just need to be mindful not to order 毛血旺again..

2024-06-19 07:04:30This is probably the best sichuan restaurant I have eaten at in the Bay Area in the last decade. I would give this place 6 out of 5 stars. The food is excellent. Big portion sizes really worth every penny. Feels more family style.Hot and sour soup, dry pot chicken, eggplant and beans and the chowmein were all excellent. The service was exceptional. These guys pack your food to go vs giving you a bunch of boxes which is quite exceptional for Bay Area. Truly an exceptional Chinese restaurant in the bay.

2024-06-19 19:10:49Vegetarian friendly Sichuan/Chinese restaurant. Random find for a late night craving.Vegetarian order: Hot and sour soup 10/10, Eggplant w/ string beans w/ extra garlic 10/10. Veg. Chowmein 10/10.Food 10/10 - Less oily, fresh quality, balanced flavor, generous portions. This was a late night dinner ~11.15pm, and Im posting this review the next day - no bloating, no puffiness, or any weird stomach. (most times late Chinese dinners dont go well with me).Service 11/10 - Above and beyond. They want to make you happy; just ask! I appreciate the decor, and menu displaying photos of most dishes. Clean restrooms.Thank you, Chuan Xiang for a great experience. BRB!

2024-03-16 08:06:29The newly opened Hunan Sichuan restaurant is a delightful journey into authentic spicy and non-spicy cuisine. With a traditional decor, it sets the stage for a menu that brilliantly captures the essence of Sichuans spicy and bold flavors. Highlights include the perfectly Hubei Du’s house chicken, dry pot sichuan spicy chicken, boiled fish fillet with pickled Chinese cabbage and Spicy Eel.Hubei Dus chicken reminds me of nostalgia taste and they have side dishes to cook in the pot as well. You can take the soup to go and cook some of your favorite food at home.Dry pot sichuan spicy chicken and boiled fish fillet with pickled Chinese cabbage are both traditional cuisines and they make them perfectly.Overall, all dishes are super authentic and delicious, with correct amount of seasoning and flavor. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, enhancing the dining experience with their insights into Sichuan culinary traditions. Whether youre a lover of fiery dishes or new to Sichuan or Hunan flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit for an unforgettable culinary adventure.

2024-03-13 06:16:07Youre going to roll up to this place, and wonder what youre walking into. But trust me, this restaurant is fantastic. Decor is all new, clean, great noise management where you can talk but its not silent.Food is A+, we got the Pickled Cabbage and Fish and the Chili Chicken Wings. Both are a little less spicy than what youd get at other places, but also means they need WAY less salt to cut the oil and spice. Comes off as more of a comfort, warming meal instead of a burning in, burning out, sort of meal.Service is fast, easy, and menu is super clear. Seats are really well arranged and comfortable. The windows are tinted one way so you dont feel like every car and passerby is staring at your meal.Really looking forward to coming again. Great job with the place!

2024-04-16 03:26:26I had an unfortunate experience at Chuan Xiang Spicy Cuisine. After clearly discussing my preferences and confirming that the dish could be prepared accordingly, what I received was completely different. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the waitress dismissed my concerns, suggesting that I might not understand the flavor or was not tolerant enough. This response was both unprofessional and disrespectful. Future customers should be wary, as there seems to be a gap between what is promised and what is delivered. I expected better service, especially when the error was clearly on their part. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves its customer service.

2024-02-06 03:34:11Came here with my family on a rainy weekday night and had a fantastic (and spicy!) meal that hit the spot. Our server told us they had just been open for a week and the spotless interior + prompt service reflected that. Ordering was seamless through a QR code ordering platform but we appreciated the large physical menus we could leaf through. The food was hot, although not unbearable, and we left with tingling lips and satisfied appetites. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to coming back!

2024-03-06 02:34:28This is stand-out Sichuan place with incredibly friendly service and modern vibes. Their preparation is incredibly *authentic* per my Chinese immigrant parents, which you can tell because the dishes arent just soaked in oil. They pack in all the flavor and spice (adjustable), each ingredient was cooked to the right level of doneness, and it was served quickly. Highly recommend the dry pot cauliflower, spicy garlic pork strips, and the spicy beef tripe (cold). Our server was super attentive, explained all the best dishes and recommendations, and went above and beyond to make sure we loved our experience. In more authentic restaurants that can tend to be overlooked, but this was a pleasant surprise!!
