Pretty decent option in the middle of no where. the udon soup was fresh and light, i’d skip the sushi there was a lot of sauce and rice with little filling. service was attentive and good.

I always enjoy having lunch at this restaurant, and have never been disappointed with the food. The only issue I experienced was the soup of the day being a beef soup on the lunch menu. I have a genetic problem, and cannot digest any red meat. I am sure there are some vegetarians that eat there also. Why not have an alternative soup, or substitute when this occurs? Otherwise the lunch was great!

Weve lived in area 5 years but just discovered this Epicurean delight. Lovely atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Very clean. The lunch meal included noodle soup, wonton strips, cabbage salad. We chose Mongolian Beef and Ginger Garlic Chicken, both came with rice. Spiced perfectly, excellent fresh ingredients. Hot tea and fortune cookie✅ At $12 per person it is excellent value.👏👏 ChusToo, We will definitely have a new favorite 👏👏 see you soon!

This is by far the best Chinese food restaurant I have dined in. The food is amazing, the service is amazing, Mr. Chu is so friendly and positive it radiates in his restaurant. I am a regular here, and plan to be for a long time.The Mongolian Beef is by far the BEST in comparison to other restaurants. It is a must have!The Chu Special Salad is also amazing! Also, on my birthday, they gave me it for free! Love this place!

Service was amazing, very nice and quick. Very clean but not very much seating, it is pretty small inside. I was expecting it to be like Peter Chus Skyroom but the menu/food is pretty different but still good. Its definitely more of a sushi place as compared to chinese food. Overall had a very nice experience, glad I tried it.

I just had the best lunch at Chu’s too. Always the friendliest service in town and excellent sushi. I love the huge menu and they have the nicest patio seating area out by the water fountain. It was a perfect day to enjoy an outdoor lunch. We’ve been coming here for years and it’s delicious and consistent every time. I highly recommend it.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant!! very friendly staff, they know what Im going to order before I walk in the door. they always remember me and have my place set when I pull in the driveway. Love the atmosphere, amazing prices and amazing food. my normal order is the volcano roll and amazing roll and they are delicious!!!! I highly recommend anyone to go here, and if you dont like raw fish the volcano is cooked they also have other food choices you are not limited to sushi and Every thing is extraordinary!

This little place is a gem! The food was delicious and cooked great. The place was small and packed but the man running the place was so full of character, I didnt mind the wait. I had the Teriyaki chicken and tempura combo. Every bite was flavorful. My partner had the Mongolian Beef. We really enjoyed the cozy, romantic atmosphere, the friendly service and delicious food.

Ive always loved Peter Chus sweet and sour chicken. My parents used to take me to the airport location when I was growing up, and this was the first time I tried this location. We got the full dinner which came with soup, wontons and rice. I thought it used to come with tea and egg rolls too, but that would have cost extra. We still had plenty to eat amd enough for dinner the next night.

This small little place is well worth visiting. You could come dressed up or casual.I enjoy their Chinese food, especially the broccoli beef. But what I love most is their sushi.The chef is so friendly, and it never seems too crowded. A great date location but they can also accommodate large-ish groups.

I eat here regularly and have for years now. I usually get the Kung Pao Extra Spicy and the staff knows it when I come in too. They are always so friendly and make me feel like a welcome regular every time. Mostly I’m a takeout only but eating in occasionally is nice too. They are always so great and I’ve never had any issue with quality or wrong order.

This guy is simply awesome! Every dish we have tried is great. Their service in house and for pick up are on point every single time. This is now our go to Chinese here in Redding! Highly recommend Chus Too, just remember on to go orders, if you do not ask for rice with your main dish, they will not add it. Youd think itd be included in the price. Alas, it is not.

Stopped by for a late lunch on the road, on my way from Santa Cruz to Portland, OR to see my son and bring him a large piece of furniture. Surprisingly good! I ordered the Kung Pao chicken lunch, which started with some shrimp chips with dipping sauce, followed by a pickled cabbage salad, and corn soup. All good. The Kung Pao had white meat chicken and vegetables (celery, onion, bell pepper, and cashews, in a very flavorful sauce. The meal was great, as was the service. A greatcplace for Chinese food in Redding!

We stopped in for a quick bite on our way through town. Kind and friendly staff.We ordered vegetarian egg roles, vegetarian sushi with asparagus, vegetarian chow mein.The meal was flavorful, no skimping on vegetables or portions and the prices were fair.We also travel with a power chair and the restaurant was accessible.Redding is lucky to have Chu Toos, next time were in town we will definitely visit again

Went in about 2pm on a Friday, the place was near empty. I ordered tempura lunch special and my friend broccoli beef. The soup was very nice but we didnt care for the sweet dressing on the cabbage salad, personal preference. The broccoli beef was good and my friend took her leftovers home. I sent my tempura back, it was thick and gummy batter not the light and crispy that tempura should be. I can only assume the cook doesnt know not to over mix the batter or it gets doughy, it was the worst I have ever had. The manager(?) protested that they had been there 40 years, no...the Chus Skyroom at the airport has been open for 40 years and would never serve that gummy mess. I probably will not return sticking to the original Chus.

Save yourself the money, we went around lunch, my husband ordered walnut prawns the Mayo was rancid we told the waitress she said no sauce good. That order came out 10 mins before mine. The table next to us started getting their food we asked about mine she said coming soon. Finally mine came and it was drenched in sweat and sour sauce, which tasted like katsup. We were very disappointed to say the leastOh yeah one more thing our bill was over charged by 50 cents we didnt care we just got out there. #boo#nevergoingback.

4/21/18: GREAT food and service, but beware the ol bait/switch! Food quality/service gain 5 stars-quantity is lacking. A very tempting picture of sashimi is shown on the menu: about 24 pieces packing a plate. Actual dish is about 1/3 the size, with 12 pieces of weakly presented sashimi. We selected the $22 assortment, and its a total rip. Nigiri pieces are about half the size of what Im used to seeing but $1-$2 more per order. Nice people - good food, but the bait/switch ruined the entire experience. Advice: ask your server if the picture you see is what you get!
