Great place cheap early start time tickets. No sticky seats except for that one time after there was a magic Mike showing. Oddly it smelled like fish. Very wierd day that day

Always enjoy watching movies at this location. Great food and super comfy seating. Temps are always comfortable even when its extremely hot outside. Plus the fabulous shopping and excellent restaurants located at the River cannot be ignored. Love this whole area!
Great place for a movie,clean,plenty of free parking. Great sound systems in theatre.If your from out of town this is the place to park your car and grab a bite and catch a movie. P.F. Changs, CheeseCake Factory,Yard House,Babes,Flemings Steak House,Starbucks are all in the The River within walking distance from the theater.
Weve coming here for years now. its a good movie theater, seats are comfortable, and can be reclined. The offer of snacks and drinks is also wide. the only thing this time was that because of covid-19, they have reduced their staff and even though there were not many people, we had to wait quite some time to get our drinks and snacks.

Not a bad theater, especially if you sit in their luxury loungers. There are better choices in the area, as parking here is quite a pain. Its a nice choice if you want to catch a meal at one of the great restaurants that are all in the same complex, though.

Hadnt been here in years, but it was worth the drive from No Palm Springs. Very comfortable.
Went to see John wick and it was very annoying. 50% of the people there were constantly getting up and leaving multiple times, literally during the entire film someone was getting up leaving then coming back to their seat. The lady next to me was on her phone texting and took 2 phone calls on full volume. This place use to be great in years past but be warned in recent years a lot of low class people coming making too much noise and not muting their phones. Last 3 movies I saw here had this same experience, I wont come back Id rather watch movies at my house.
Beautiful movie theater. I may be a simple boy from Colorado, but this theater feels like Hollywood. Huge atrium when you walk in, beautiful architecture inside and out. What going to the movies should feel like, an event! The best movie theater Ive ever been too. Avatar 2 in 3d was bonkers!

I have to share my experience last night, as a parent of teenagers I was very grateful to hear and see Todd enforce his job by asking some teenagers for their ID card. I saw them with their tickets on hand but Todd wanted to make sure they were age appropriate to see the movie. He even explained that they could get a refund if they didnt had their ID, or change movies. Thank you Todd!

They never have pizza. Everytime I come here they are out of pizza. Their nachos taste stale and they have limited choices in food. Last time coming here.

Don’t waist your time or money go to the new theater in lq. How this place has such a high rating to me is insane, the entire building was dirty, the customer service was extremely lacking, and to top it all off they sold me tickets to seats that were broken.
Saw the movie John wick 4 on XD . Love it I would go back. But just to point out one little issues some of your electric chars are going out the button dont move or it will just get stuck in one position. See you soon again 🤗

Favorite place to go enjoy life and its wonders. The staff is mostly young but so helpful. I feel comfortable when I come here. Any theater gets messy and this ones no exception, but they do a good job at maintaining. The seats recline also. I enjoy the XD theater. We have a movie rewards with then. Always getting deals and free movies. We need our movie houses to thrive today. So come enjoy your movies and escape the world for a few hours.
No close parking. I had handicap parking but had to walk a distance in 110 heat.
Its a shame about my last experience. Our seats were wet and greasy. I asked a manager or lead to have it cleaned. No one came. I went out and asked another person. He was slow, inefficient, and I had to ask him for papers to clean it myself. It was clear, he wasnt going to do a good job. The floor was also greasy, and had the potential for a slip. Poor effort on both the manger and the worker. Ill stick to the LQ location.

I used to enjoy coming with family, but its been super hot in the theater lately, so uncomfortable. you can’t even enjoy the movie because of how hot and humid it feels.i don’t think they turn on their AC, they need too especially in these hot days, when your trying to escape from the Heat. bad experience.
Fast service, friendly staff. Theaters usually very clean. Popcorn is usually fresh, although the kettle corn sometimes isnt. Prices are decent, same as any other theater. Lines move pretty quick at concessions. Seats are comfortable. AC is great.

Went to see the latest Spider-Man movie release. Pre ordered tickets in advance for the 4 pm show. Parking was challenging since this theater is located in a busy shopping mall area. Lots of seasonal shoppers out, along with movie-goers.Check in was easy, theater lobby was busy, but was adequately staffed, for the timeframe. Hot food took about 15 minutes to get after ordering.Seating was great, loved the comfortable, reclining chairs. Sound system awesome, and temperature inside theater was comfortable.Restrooms were clean for amount of patrons, hallways were somewhat littered from the heavy crowds of the day, but not bad. Would revisit again.
All the sodas were out. People were not helpful. Popcorn all over the floor everywhere.
Worst experience EVER!!! When previews started it was very warm, I thought maybe since lights where on it was feeling warm and that soon as movies started it would get cool. That was not the case! I walked out to speak with an employee asked for them to turn ac on he said he would but never did! It was the most uncomfortable experience EVER!! So HOT!! And they did nothing

Movie houses just get tired with all the patronage. If I were an owner I would feel compelled to do a refresh for my customers, but I suppose its all about keeping the profits, esp after the pandemic losses. Some pergolas on the walk in would help in heatstroke weather which we have every year. Their films are underattended as a result, no doubt. Horrible walk in with no shade or benches!!!
A phenomenal place to watch movies as they are meant to be seen. Could have watched Dune at home on hbo max but it would have diminished the experience. It was amazing! The sound the vibration cant be replicated at home! I highly recommend it! Go back to the movies. See it as the director intended you l it to be seen.
Good to be back at the movies! Very comfortable seating and very clean. Signs say they wipe down after every movie but they also have wipes outside the door so you can wipe down more if you wish.
The seats are great but I waited 40 mins to get my food I ordered. I asked several times if my food was ready and all I got was it’s still cooking. It was chicken tenders not prime rib. I talked to the manager and she was no help at all. There was one employee who apologized and offered to bring it to my seat when it was ready. I wish I would’ve gotten her name. She could teach her fellow employees good customer service..... including the manager. I will take my family to another movie theater from now on.
Update 2022/04/30; pretty much everything is still the same. Love the XD. Their cleanup process is expanded to add Covid concerns. It appears that attendance hasnt recovered. But that may be due to economic reasons. Still a good place to watch movies.Very nice after last remodel. Comfortable recliner seating and a sound system that will blow you away.
Great experience there. I went in with friends for Everything everywhere all at once on a Sunday night seats were too comfy so I lost my ID and found it at lost and found 2 days later! Great staff.

6 Stars for a Very Nice Theatre and concession. The seats with recline are very comfortable. So much so that I was visiting from Canada and had my wallet with ID and CC’s and USA and Canadian money in it fall out. Two days later when I figured out it might be lost there I found all the staff to be friendly and immediately willing to help. In the end the theatre had it in safe keeping and really made my day. Can’t say enough for the Staff and management at Century at the River. Will definatlty go back and next time make sure my wallet is secure.
I try to watch all my favorite movies here at the River. The movie theater is super clean, great leather reclining seats, their popcorn is popping good. Also ample parking and great Chinese food at PF Chang nearby!

Comfortable seats, but the lobby and restrooms need cleaning. There are benefits to reserving seats but not when you are seated next to talking teenagers and no one is checking on whats going on in the theaters. Its fine downhill.
Seats in theater 15 didnt recline. Definatly not returning for a long minute cause I paid the price expecting a reclining chair and theater was packed!
Terrible customer service, a private viewing was scheduled and the first 30 minutes of the movie this was room #9 was black nothing showed and we could only listen to the movie. After our group leader went to get assistance three times we were still clueless to what happened at the beginning of the movie I went to ask if we could rewind the movie showing since it was technically their fault as they were no one manning the projector and no one was assisting us. I pregnant and wanting to watch a good marvel movie with my family had to walk to ask if we could rewind it I was lied to and it was all in all a very terrible and frustrating experience.
Went to see Avengers Endgame. Enjoyed the comfortable seats and clean theater. Great staff. I am thankful they have closed caption for the hearing impaired. It allowed me to enjoy the movie and understand everything that was happening, without disturbing other guests.
Management wouldnt even follow up with my complaint and my negative review disappeared. You want to penalize a customer with moron staff that thinks strict policy enforcement is a priority over basic customer service. GM, would you like to finally contact me or should I just make similar noise on a few other online sources so people know they are better going to a theatre where they put the trash in bins, not hire it to take tickets, Brian W.
They apparently have a policy they strictly enforce. Was a warm day so I arrived to my movie early. Certainly wanting to take advantage of the comfortable chairs and the A/C. Arriving 45 minutes before I was told I had to wait at least 30, or 25 minutes before, depending on who I asked which time. I approached the ticket checker again at 32 minutes before the showing to be told I was still too early. I confirmed if he wanted to let a few minutes stand in the way of me having a good experience or a bad experience, and of course he would rather disappoint a customer than accommodate a rather minor request. Brian W is his name and he seems to posess both vaccuous customer service and inferior intelligence. Pretty simple job and a simple request but the very basics of customer appreciation Ill use him. This will be the last time I visit this theatre, the regal in Palm Springs has never disrespected me in this way for an early arrival.
Terrible movie experience. The place is very poorly managed. The week between Christmas and new years is always very busy. Too bad management hasnt got a clue about this.The lines at the snack bar were terrible. Very greatly understaffed. Our server displayed absolutely no sense of urgency as time ticked by.Hey, Cinemark, you run the schedule and know when crowds will arrive. Plan accordingly!Actually, I dont care if you fix it or not. I wont be back. We were left with the final impression in the ladies room, which smelled like an outhouse...

I love coming to this theater, the reclining seats are awesome and I hardly ever have issues with over crowding or getting a good seat. For block busters, I would advise you purchase your tickets online and early so you can get the seating you choose. The only down sides are parking is ridiculous and the food (which is just barely ok) can take a long time. (Stick with popcorn and hot dogs)

I will forever come here or another Cinemark that has XD. Seats are very comfy being automatic luxury loungers with excellent foot room. And the seating is staggered- the closest people are to you behind or in front is between 10-12 feet lengthwise and about 3 feet heightwise. Prices are little higher but for the seats and a wall to wall screen- I say its totally worth it. 5 stars well earned.

Clean, modern theater. Very comfortable seats. Theaters 1 and 2 inside also have an elevator access to the top level! Easy in and out for wheelchairs, walkers, canes and parents with young children. Good, fresh snacks and drinks.

I go here very frequently. From the minute you open the front door this place is a dirty filthy mess every single time you come to the movies. I dont think the place has been cleaned and 3 years the carpet is absolutely filthy and thats before you add everything thats on top of that period yesterday I was in a movie and 10 people were texting throughout the movie not one person that works at the theater was in that Room to monitor the texting and the talking which is frequently done in theaters especially in the 1st 10 minutes of a movie to make sure people who put things done. I have been to this movie theater 5 times in the last month and every time it is the same dirty filthy messWith no oversight the reason we go there is because there are very good places to eat and coordinate and evening I hope they can get their act together because there happened to be some better movie theaters within 3 miles now.

Love going to this location there seems to be really nice people that always work there I get myself sick from eating way too much of their popcorn and its not overly crowded like other Cinemark locations. It also has the advantage of being surrounded by great eateries that you can eat at before or after your movie
Wow, not surprised people have issues with the food service. I waited for 25+ minutes for a hot dog that was already cooking. I asked someone at the register to get it for me as is, and he said he didnt have the proper equipment. Yet he was helping people, what would he have done if someone asked for the same. I talked to the ticket manager about me waiting for the hotdog and she said since it was cash I have to wait at concessions, understandable. I ended up going getting a refund for the hotdog. I went to my seat and realized I missed 20 minutes of the movie, to which I then went to get a refund on my ticket. I told the manager how i missed due to waiting for the hotdog and would like a refund on my ticket. i went back to start eating my wings (that I did get on time) and was then asked to show my ticket. The usher then came back and escorted me out of the theatre. Apparently I cant get a refund and finish the movie. So now Im really upset. I go to the front and the manager says Im unable to re-enter once I received a refund. I asked if Im not entitled to finish the movie after what happened. It isnt just the movie or food, I was there with a friend and now what are they supposed to do. My friend came shortly after and they apparently wanted to listen to her. I went to ask the manager if I can get a refund on all my food order and she begins to say how shes sorry and didnt know the whole situation (my friend enlightened her). How did she not know when I had told her before refunding the hotdog and when I refunded my ticket. She knew. Im so upset with the handling of the situation. Lost a loyal movie club member thanks to one horrible experience.
The seats are soooo uncomfortable! Did they buy them from a retired aircraft?? Needed a massage after sitting through the movie. Wont subject myself to that again. I am 5/5 and 125 lb. female who is in great physical condition...until sitting there for two hours.
Went here a bit over month ago to go see Toy story 4 while I was visiting the us and compared to movie theatres in the Uk this was was luxurious. The tickets were really cheap and the snacks were not overpriced the seats also basically reclined into a lie flat position You would never find this in the Uk. Unfortunately I only learned about this feature halfway through the movie. I don’t know what the standards are in the US for movie theatres but compared to certain countries movie theatres definitely the best one I have ever been in 10/10
Reclining motorized seats. Good popcorn and the Cinemark club makes tickets and concessions almost affordable. Wife and I got 2 tickets, large popcorn and 2 large drinks for less than $40. It should have been almost $60!!
We got to the theaters approx. 45 minutes early for the very first showing of a movie on the Sunday after Christmas. The east entrance was closed. The south entrance had a door open and we opened it and were told that we couldnt come in until 15 minutes before the movie started. We were puzzled but okay with that so we waited. Another employee came to the door several minutes later and said We open at 10:30am. He then locked the door. At 10:30am, the door still wasnt unlocked and we looked in and found that they had opened the doors on the East entrance and let approx. 35 people into the theater and never unlocked the door we were waiting at. We knew we didnt have much time to get our tickets, buy our concessions AND get inside and seated so we were disappointed that we were the first people at the theater but ended up being the 40th people in line with only ONE clerk selling tickets. Since it was the same employee who opened the one door to tell us about the theater hours, we mentioned that we were disappointed that he failed to mention that we should be in line at the OTHER door. We were given a half hearted apology. Unfortunately, in this day and age, many people arent as aware and dont pay attention to who should be served next because they have waited the longest. At least at Rancho 16 Regal Theaters, they have addressed this problem with finesse. It sure would be nice for others to do so as well.
Best to go in the mornings and on Tuesdays for the best ticket price. Always has relevant movies. Even has an arcade with air hockey. You can also bring a small bag or backpack without being questioned.
I went to see Avatar way of water in 3D the reclining seats for very comfortable I immersed myself in the experience it was amazing
Enjoyed going to the movies with my granddaughter and daughter. I did everything online including purchasing popcorn and drinks so there were no lines and got right in. Seats were very comfortable.
Looking for something cool to do in Palm Springs the century at the river is a place to go. Cool yourself down with the AC and watch a great movie with some delicious popcorn 🍿.
Terrible quality customer service. The theater manager Brian was unwilling to provide a readmission ticket or refund after only 30 minutes of viewing the movie. I will be canceling my Cinemark membership as a result of this interaction

The XD experience is sooo worth it. When a particularly loud or tense scene comes on the seats will rumble with the sound system and its such an immersive experience. I would suggest sitting a row or two back though so you dont have to look up.
We came on a field trip with three 5th grade classes. When we got here everything was ready to go!!! The kids ALL had a wonderful time. Great experience, AWESOME crew!

No AC after 10:00. So youre to sweat in the leather seats. Also in the mens restroom theres no walls between the urinals, so 9/10 times someone going to see your genitals. 👍
Typical contemporary movie selection, but killer sound and projection systems, 3D and XD available. New at this place are power reclining seating! Amazing comfort for a theater...only problem, easy to fall asleep. Pricing of concessions high but not unusual for this area.
Not my first place to go. Prefer Mary Pickfords D Place.Remember, to always look for which day they have a discount ( usually Tue or Wed) & / or senior citizen discount day ( a day with more of the usual every day discount).

We rented out a private showing of Black Widow but the first 30 minutes the screen was entirely black but the sound was on. Two of us went to the front desk to inform them about the screen and after the fourth time, they finally turned on the screen. We were unable to watch any of the previews and the first 30 minutes of the screen. By then we had no idea what was going on for the rest of the film.
Very good seats. Excellent viewing and sound. Only complaint, Theatre cannot accept Canadian USDollar, repeat USDollar Credit Cards, Manager told me their equipment not set up to do so. This seems ridiculous. Canadians, including myself have been using Canadian USDollar cards for ever in the USA.Jim Williamson

I havent had any problems with the staff but it is one of the nicest theaters here in the valley it has character but what I really wished it had.. better comfortable seats that actually recline and adjust and lock in place and not useing your own Wight and keeping it steady by putting your feet behind the head of the person sitting in front of you... And another idea for a foot rest install one in the back of the chairs that swing out also with locking adjustments to a comfortable length for the visitors

I had a very bad racism experience at this place...I was here on Monday May 7,2018 & went back on Tuesday May 15,2018.As you can see Im an Hispanic person but who cares Im a human right...?The manager took us out of the movie just because an old man that was sitting next to us didnt agree with us on having our daughter on that movie (breaking in). Atleast thats what he said but his actions spoke something else...After i walked out of the movie he didnt wanna give us a refund. Then, i had to urge with him just to give a refund. I had never argued with no one before but this was very sad ... Well, he did what the other guy told him but he couldnt do what i told him to do i was a costumer too but yea i guess it didnt matter.. Hmmm not even fair right?At the end I got my refund but he sended one of the employees & he apologize. I could see on his face how embarrased he was but i guess that was his job at the moment. The manager was good to take us out but couldnt even apologize?? Wow..... ❌Worst thing is that he looked hispanic too 🤷♀️🙄
Reclining seats are way smaller than the ones in La quinta! Im not a big woman either.. But usually I can sit in the chair, with my purse next to me.. I had to keep it in my lap! Saw the new jurassic movie.. The sound sucked!The worst part of all. Had a couple next to me on their cells every few minutes. The end of the movie, lights went up.. Looked at them.. Try to be courteous to people around you with your cells.They looked at me.. Walked away.. Sad something under their breath!I will never go back there!

Snack lines vary from long to short. Spent 20 mins in line buying concessions. Went back and spent not even 2 minutes on refills. Prices were crazy as can be seen expected at a movie theater. Service was slightly above average.

Always love hanging out at the River. We didnt watch a movie on this occasion but we stopped by so the kids can play a few games in their game room, while others can use the sitting in their huge lobby.

This theatre is ok. Ive been to many other theatres but I have never had to pay for a cup of water. Water is free everywhere, I shouldnt have to pay for something that I can get by using the water fountain which is outside the theater.

In December we went to see a movie and buy $200 in Gift Cards as Christmas gifts. They had a special with the gift cards a discount coupon for food. The BITC* Manager said they were out of the Coupons so too bad! She refused to photocopy a sample Coupon and validate it or give me a discount that day on food or call me if they received More printed coupons during the week.What Idiot Hired this Disaster Must have been her dad! SHE WAS RUDE ARROGANT and Basically TERRIBLE!!!.!No wonder the Employees there are Rude!They are copying this Bitc*s Actions! We quit going there!! Go to Rancho 16 Better people!
Great specials and promotions. Totally worth it! Its clean and big theatre. The seats are not assigned, so get there early if its a new movie to get better seats of your choice.

I experienced the worst customer service associated to Cinemark, stemming from the regular crew members to the mangerial staff. The apathetic, impatient and rude response to a reasonable request to see the theater guidelines regarding the purchase of Rated R tickets was dismissed rather eagerly. I suggest you make the guidelines extremely clear for Rated R tickets and showcase them, Only legal guardians can purchase tickets for 17 year olds. Please re-train or remind Greg Vaughn of what customer service means as well the older gentleman who lacked the decency to smile and say goodbye after I smiled and said goodbye to him.

Has to be one of the best theaters I have been to. Great Customer service and you wont go broke buying snacks that are at an affordable price plus they serve beer.This is the only theater I go to now.

Went to CATS at the ciniplex. Loved the movie...Parking is all around the outside of the mall. When you get inside of the property of the open air mall, you have parked a bit of a distance away from the stores.
I really enjoy Century/Cinemark theatres and the Rancho Mirage theater is the biggest in the area. However the recliners need updating here, the cushions are worn out and the buttons are really sensitive and can cause the recliner to move during the movie.
This is my favotite place to see movies in the area. Big comfy reserved seating. Friendly staff and its clean. Its in an outdoor mall which has a variety of restaurants, most times you can park in the shade.

No seats ever available except for first row. This is especially so if you have movie pass which has become worthless. Dont buy movie pass and dont bother coming here unless you want to sit in the first row and not be able to see the screen. Movie pass is the worse rip off!

Inappropriate acts are what was happening two rows behind me, I called the manager, and she was so slow arriving to the location, that by the time she arrived the kids were not committing the act anymore. Very unprofessional.

The seats are not as comfortable as the one over at the century and La Quinta. They did not have enough hot dogs and my husband had to only get one and I got none. So I wasnt too happy I dont think Ill be coming back here for a while. Ill stick with the one in La Quinta.

I will never go back to this theater where you must select your seat from a chart because all of the seats are taken and then you go in and 10 people are in the theater. You cannot sit where you want. What is up with that?? I want to select my seat WHEN I GET IN THE THEATER.

Nice theater in a nice mall. Dislike how the franchise pushed out a great art house theater nearby that was partly owned by Bryan Cranston aka Walter White of Breaking Bad.

2023-07-21 01:38:13I always enjoy this theater. The front foyer is reminiscent of some of the old, elegant Hollywood theaters, except with really comfortable reclining lounge seating. We enjoyed the new Indiana Jones film with the theaters awesome sound system and great ac environment. Tuesdays are early bird discount days, and tickets are only $10 each. After enjoying the movie, theres lots of great restaurants nearby. Easy parking and lovely atmosphere. Winner!

2023-09-26 15:05:33Very nice theatre! We went as a group of five. One person didn’t like the seats I chose, but they were very accommodating to let us change them to the back row. Nice and roomy seats. You don’t have to sit shoulder to shoulder. And the seats reclined. We had a hard time figuring out how to recline them. The button is on the flip down armrest in this theatre. It was a long walk from the parking lot to the theatre.

Most people with a heart would of been a little understanding about the situation, but not this grinch. I did get my money back, but definitely not a theater with a family friendly staff.

2023-06-14 00:05:08Everyone was really nice and helpful. I could see staff was doing their best to clean up after a sea of kids that left popcorn in the lobby. Everyone also smiled and greeted us when we walked out. That was nice.The only thing is that the sound was lacking bass in the middle row for Super Mario Bros. movie.Thats supposed to be the best seat in the house, so I was a little disappointed when the explosions didnt have the knock/rumble I expected.I also thought the volume was great, so Im not saying I wished the whole audio system were louder.Probably, its because I watched it in one of the smaller theaters. I will be back to treat my theory.Will come back again soon!

The sound quality was BAD I complained, no one fixed it.I had to sit in frustration watching a music based documentary with audio thats worse than a bluetooth portable speaker.Im probably never going to be able to see that again and they ruined my only chance at that experience.Edit. Why do I have to go to your website to contact you when your employees wouldnt handle it IRL.Dont dare go to the smaller theaters here
