City Kebabs & Gyros in Daly City

Really enjoyed this locally owned Mediterranean place near the hotel I stayed. Food was delish (I got the veg combo plate) and it was filing, just about $15.

How does this place have good reviews?? I walked in, saw that it looked authentic with foreign workers thinking the food would match the vibe. The food had no seasoning, whatever meat I had in my combo gyro tasted like tuna and the Greek yogurt tasted like nothing. We took it to go and we live 5 min away, we came home to eat and the food was barely warm, the tinfoil did nothing. Tried to warm it up, and still had no flavor😒 please redo the recipes y’all got there and level up. Don’t be a disgrace to Mediterranean food, I expected much more seasoning.

We loved this place. The chicken in the chicken gyro is marinated, tasty and so tender. The beef and lamb gyro was quite good. Both come with a tzatziki like sauce. I would have liked them even better if they had come with onion.For dessert we had the kenefi. They bake it fresh when you order it and takes about 10-15 minutes - but its worth the wait. We were also delighted to find they had kazandibi. Its very hard to find in the US. Its like a flan but its really good.Highly recommended.

We been here once only we really like it a lot. We will definitely go there again. Great service and great food. My kids made mess and I was going to clean it but there is a girl work there she told me don’t worry about it we can clean it. She was so nice. We will go there again for sure.

Love being there. Each time I come to Deli city I spare some time to come and eat here. Food is so delicious and tasty. Excellent customer service. Definitely try Salmon plate 👍

We really like the combo boxes to try everything the place had to offer.Not everything was to my taste but it was a good experience nonetheless!The Kofte was the best part of the City Mix. The chicken was dry and the lamb was ok. The rice was flavorful.The Aryan drink was really sour so its definitely not for everyone.We really liked the Kazan Didi. It reminded us of creme brulee (without the crunchy sugar at the top) and flan.

Edit: visited them today and wow, what a stark difference in the quality!! The falafel wrap was so dry that I had to drink water to swallow it. The falafel was over cooked and had a burnt taste. The service was also subpar, didn’t get our napkins and forks - had to ask for itThis is possibly the best vegetarian falafel wrap I’ve had. Nowhere I have seen dolmas added in it, the sauces were perfect and overall the food was fresh and yummy. Such a surprise find. The baklava is a must try along with the spinach cheese puff. My partner liked their chicken dish as well. If I’m around the next time, I’ll be back.

I ordered a lamb beef gyro wrap to go and when I got home and took a bite it was chicken. So disappointed as was looking forward to a lamb beef giro😕😟

Love this place! We’ve been coming here since the pandemic . Consistently great food with perfect portion sizes. Make sure to try the Turkish Delights out of the dessert tray.
