The whole vibe in the restaurant was really good. Feels warm and friendly. The food was great too. It surprised me that the scrambled eggs are made by real egg instead of egg liquid. Tastes amazing! Iced tea is unsweetened which is great. If you prefer sweet tea you might need to tell them. We came here because I really want to have biscuits with gravy for my breakfast but everything else was beyond my expectations.

Came to visit to have breakfast because they had great reviews online and we were looking for breakfast in the area and live about 45 min away and not familiar with the area. Definitely did not disappoint, it was so busy and the food was fantastic!Everyone on staff was so kind and helpful only thing with being really busy is to give them patience which was totally okay for me and my table since every seat was constantly taken, my only complaint was that all my food didn’t come out at the same time but it all trickled out within a few minutes each part but besides that it was great.Definitely would return!

Stopped here on my way to Los Angeles, and I was amazed. The food was good and big portions. The only thing I thought needed a little more flavor was the pancake, but other than that, it was good. Service was awesome. Our drinks were always filled. They do have a pretty big menu, a lot of options. Definitely recommend.

Good ole greasy spoon! Waitresses are always kind and on the ball. Food is good... recommend cinnamon buns for sure but sandwiches are awesome. Pancakes are fluffy buttermilk style and you cant go wrong with the corn beef hash!Just wish they opened earlier.

Looking for nice place for an early breakfast. Found it at Clarkies. Typical cafe menu. Their cinnamon streusel muffin is a must try, great flavor and with the butter dipping down..... oh so good!! Pancakes are lager and fluffy. The staff was super sweet. Its a little hard to find the first time. I almost drove past even though its on a main street. The outside is kind of plain but it is done up inside quite nicely. Lots of seating, but there can be a wait at peak times.

Fantastic breakfast! Copious portion sizes, affordable prices, and great service.Reminiscent of a good ole diner from the pre-2000s. The coffee cup was never more than half-empty as an endless stream of refills kept coming. Enough food on the plate to keep your belly full until bedtime.The standout item to me was the Cinnamon Streusel Muffin which is included as a side item on the breakfast combos. Dont come here and pass it up! The batter for the chicken fried steak was also very good.

This Place is an absolute Treasure!! If you have not had the great pleasure of dining here you are missing out. Right off the 10 FWY in Yucaipa/Calimesa, you cant miss it. The staff is so friendly and wonderful. Thanks to Millie and Chris who made our return visit a treat. Even the guests who are here are cordial and kind. The Food is outstanding!! Look at our Pics. As much as I dont want to give this review (more people equals longer wait times for me), I feel I must. This place is AMAZING. One of the best family run restaurants in the area. The food is always tasty. From their plate size pancakes to their made-from-scratch corned beef hash and their homemade cinnamon strussel muffins... there is very little (if anything) to complain about at this place. The staff is always on point and friendly. My one complaint (if I have to have one) is they need more parking. People have been known to park in the center median of the road just to eat here.

4 instead of 5 because 5 is essentially perfect, and there is always room for improvement. The food was really good, the portions were not microsized, and the pricing seemed fair. The atmosphere feels a little old timie like an older family owned place. The wait staff was over to refill the drinks when they were low and not intrusive at all, which is great if you are trying to have a conversation while enjoying a meal. Its definitely a place to visit again

My husband and I have gone to Clarkies for breakfast and lunch since they have a good selection for both. My husband ordered the eggs, bacon, english muffin and fruit. He added their cinnamon strudel muffin which they are known for. I ordered the Asian Salad. Both meals were very good. They are always busy so expect to wait. They have benches outside for waiting. The service is great. They are friendly and efficient, they take your order in a timely matter. For how busy they are, they do a great job of seating people as quick as possible. The inside is not fancy but it is clean. The food is great so that is why they are so successful.

Well, where to begin.Hospitality is out of this world. We were apart of a rush. Time to seat us was less than they quoted. When your eggs come out hot and the plates are larger than large along with their smile. Dont forget to eat a muffin. If you like cinnamon sooo delicious.Must go.Try the Burgers and fries too.

YUM! We consulted google for some local breakfast recommendations while visiting some friends in the area, and Clarkies is our new home-away-from-home favorite. Seated and asked what we wanted to drink immediately, wait staff was so friendly, and the food is incredible. We loved it so much we went twice during our week stay here. Get the cinnamon muffin, even if youre full (take it home for a snack later, youll be glad you did!)

Searched Google for new place nearby. Never had been here before. Had very good reviews. They all mentioned a cinnamon muffin. WOWAH!!! We ordered our breakfast and both ordered this muffin. While drinking our coffee out comes 2 individual plates with this large hot muffin with a scoop of butter melting on top. Never had anything like it...absolutely delicious! Resturant was very busy and had a slight wait but once seated we were waited on hand and foot by a very welcoming staff. Abundant portions with very good food at reasonable prices. They obviously have a huge following . You wont have any problem finding it...just look for all the cars and trucks parked on the street and the full parking lot.

The food is amazing, the staff is sweet and attentive, and theres plenty of seating. The place is pretty popular so if you come in later on a weekend youre going to be waiting a while. Parking when busy is also a pain but you can park in the street. 10/10 would recommend.

Its exactly like most reviewers have said, though I didnt find it overly crowded on. Saturday at 1230pm. Food was hot and delicious. Iced tea fresh brewed and refreshing. The streussel muffin a definite must. All of the wait staff - I had interactions with 4 employees were cordial and generous. My glass of iced was never empty. Prices for the food were on point. No wonder this place is so popular. I cant say enough good things about it.

Stopped in on the way to a work thing at Morongo. Is it weird to.say that the Coke was great? 😂 But seriously, we came here since they have gluten free bread available (and they didnt even charge extra). I had a fabulous GF tuna melt. Love that they cheese crusted the bread. Potato salad wasnt my favorite, but it was safer than fries for this GF gal. Definitely plan to stop by when Im in the area again.

Worth the wait. My coffee cup is always full. The cinnamon streusel muffin is a great starter. Great food and decent prices. Be aware that they will give you your check ahead of time. This in no way means that they are asking you to leave. Take your time and bring your check to the front register when you’re ready. My favorite Sunday brunch diner spot.

This place is an amazing find. I got the steak and eggs and it was all cooked to perfection. I ordered the cinnamon streusel and the only complaint I have is that they brought that little piece of magic before the food but my word is that delicious. With the ball of butter melting into the center of it, makes it by far the best cinnamon streusel Ive ever tasted. Amazing restaurant, always busy but because its all amazing food.

Wow! What a find! Driving back to the SF Bay area from Palm Springs and found this treasure. This gem was amazing! Great food and great service!! Warning...servings are larger than life! Great local comfort food, nice price, incredibly attentive service. They topped off my coffee cup every few seconds, it seemed. I got the early bird special for $5, which is two huge delicious pancakes, 2 eggs, and bacon. They have good kids menu options. They open at 6 daily, so you could squeeze in a good breakfast before work. The place looks kind of unimpressive from outside, but poke your head in and see how beautiful it is inside, not to mention the smell of the grub and the feel of happy people eating and serving it.

Both myself & my husband are disabled. We were so excited to go to Clarkies Diner for the first time because of reading great reviews. We arrived there & can report that there is simply not enough disabled parking available & the parking lot was filled to capacity & difficult to manuever back out of to leave. I am sure we would have enjoyed the food & the customer service, however, we wont be coming back because most likely the same situation will occur.

Definitely going to return to this establishment. Its a favorite place to go for local law enforcement, fire department personnel and a lot of other folks. Theres good reason for it; numerous comfortable booths, seating for groups, attentive waitresses, a famous cinnamon roll, and a plethora of choices available on the menu. Our food arrived fast, portions were more than adequate. Due to its popularity and the time that you arrive there parking may be around the corner but dont let that stop you.

The owner came up to us at the table and told us we had to keep our one-year-old quiet because last time she was so loud she had to comp the food allay a table near us. Clarkies was a a great find for someone looking for a new place to dine in for breakfast.Today we tried the Big Hoss breakfast, thier bacon melt sandwich, and their california scrambler.The big hoss was a country fried steak smothered with gravy and cheese on top of biscuits and grits. The eggs needed a seasoning, but the bacon was thick cut and was there to save the morning, which added to their well portioned plate. The combined taste with avacado was very tasty and I would order this again. 4/5The bacon melt was a surpirsing treat, and the portion was again, the right amount for 1 person. Most sandwiches in breakfast restaurants have a an ingredient that overpowers the rest of the sandwich, but this sandwich on that day was greatly proportioned. The tomato was sliced evenly, the bacon and cheeder worked very well, and the avacado helped close the deal. 5/5Overall great experience, from the server, the coffee, the food all the way to the exit. I felt like I could come here more often and not worry about what I would try next. I rate this place a 5/5.

Every meal here is always good! I usually get the veggie scrambler that has lots of vegetables in it and they serve it with a medium spicy salsa. All of the baked goods are great. Their waffles are good but theyre not my favorite because they tend to be a lot smaller than your average waffle. Its more like a pancake, but its still filling. My husband loves the biscuits and gravy. I think they may use a bacon gravy instead of your traditional sausage which is fine by us. The parking lot is pretty small and tight so get there early if you want any kind of parking, especially on a Sunday. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. This morning when we went to go pay the bill at the counter, one of the busboys brought us our box of leftovers that we left on the table. Weve come here several times and we will continue doing so because its a great breakfast spot.

I like this place, but, the chili was terrible. Unless you want 50% of the mass of the chili to be slightly undercooked oversized kidney beans, then pass on it. Gave me onions and cheese. Preshredded fine cheddar with that nasty calcium powder to prevent clumping makes it less flavorful and gross texture. How hard is it to shred cheese. Never again with the chili

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! My son and daughter-in-law took us out after church this morning. I strongly recommend it!!! 😇 I had biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and potatoes. Absolutely delicious.

It was busy, but we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and other staff would come by to make sure that my coffee was always filled. The food was good as well, and we didnt have to wait very long to get it. I would definitely come back again.
