I’ve always known of this park as a former neighborhood resident, so returning to visit when dropping off the folks at the airport became a fun tradition. Then I can see their plane take off!If I have the time, it’s convenient to find a street side parking spot along Imperial Avenue at the hill and watch the planes take off. Arriving flights may be viewed as well. The panoramic view is unsurpassed from the hill, with an unobstructed look at just about everything on the south side runways, as planes are coming in to taxi. For aircraft affectionados, it’s a continuous show! A plane lands, another taxi’s and another takes off!The Airline Video’s guy’s were offering commentary, with more ways to get updated on the latest activities at LAX.I had to appreciate the preservation and upkeep of this little strip of a park, along with the adjoining dog park by the City of El Segundo!

A nice location to observe the activities of LAX runway 25R/L. One can see it get crowded with onlookers and aviation photographers. Its best reached by car and its open free to the public. A great addition to the small park near the in out burger on the other side of the airport.

How do you not know about this place? On a side street high above imperial highway you get a full view of the southern runways of LAX bring . Great place for the airplane enthusiast. Also good place to finish off your date when youre hanging out... Or just a quiet place to sit and talk. There are a few picnic tables, you can sit down have a quick bite. Once you visit youll always come back.

Just wow.As an LA native there’s just so many places to see and go. This is a very underrated spot if you are in the neighborhood. If it over seeds a lot of south side of LAX. Nice little gem near El Segundo. Plenty of benches to sit.

If you like to see planes land and take off, then this is the place. It’s on a kind of hill nearby the sea. There are a few benches and parking is in the street. Beware, there are no facilities like restrooms or restaurants.

Fantastic place for plane spotters! Incredible views for both departures and arrivals. Getting here by public transport is possible but a little on the inconvenient side. Definitely a fantastic day out!

Solid place for plane spotting and taking photos of the airport or planes if you’re an AVGeek photographer. Ample street parking, or at least there was lots available when I visited, and enough places to stand or set up a tripod to take photos. There are power lines in the way a bit. But just for spotting and not photos, it’s fine. Extra cool view when there is snow on the mountains visible behind LAX.
