Cobis is one of the most enjoyable meals I have had in sometime. While you will see all the southeast Asian cuisine staples, every dish feels like a fresh take.Portions are perfect for sharing or solo dining experiences. While everything I tried was great (prawns, short rib, roti, beef rendang) the Nasi Goreng with pork belly was the star of the show.Did I mention they play reggae all night?

I love southeast Asian cuisine, its a good restaurant, very pretty. But, in this case its mostly what comes after the but that matters, it was way too noisy, we couldnt hear each other. We are in our 30s and Ive never noticed that elsewhere. The food was spicy but not necessarily the one with the spice meter on them. So not really sure what that was about. The waitress was a bit pushy and because it was so loud was not happy to repeat herself.I would recommend the curry puffs, would highlight how spicy the dumplings and the dall were. The nasi Goreng was a lot of rice and not much else.Overall was happy to try it. Will probably come again or maybe order from here.Just wont rush back!

I had a fantastic dinner here with my wife. We got one of the prix fix menus and every dish blew our minds. We were particularly delighted by the nasi goreng, so definitely try it out if you get a chance to dine here. Another fun experience was their sambal sampler - its hard to believe that there were so many different sauces that were completely unique and can stand on its own

I’ve always walked passed Cobi’s and I’ve always told myself I would one day go in. Time passed and then I heard they had received a Michelin star! So I quickly got a reservation and headed their way before word got around and reservations became harder. It took me a day to decide whether to post this review or not. The selfish side of me didn’t want to spread the word because I know it will attract more people, but, the righteous side made me do it because they 100% deserve it.So my husband and I arrived, we sat in the back patio which is lovely, surrounded by flowers and plants. The dishes are different China patterns and give the ambiance a Sunday country brunch vibe. Very lovely. We decided to go with a nice cold sparkling water and the “Chef’s selection” which consists of 8 dishes of the chefs favorites. We started the meal with a lovely and perfect Kanpachi in finger lime, green chili, coconut dressing. This was surprisingly refreshing and oh so tender. I am not big on raw fish but this, this I would eat everyday. This was topped by Leek ash. They also served the second dish which was a crisp and fresh papaya salad. Filled with mint leaves and tender green beans in a perfectly seasoned dressing. Following this was the Grilled Prawns in a ginger & yellow bean sauce. Delish! After that we received the best samosas I have ever had. They are called Curry Puffs. They are curried split peas & potatoes, served with pickled onion and tamarind ketchup. The pickled onions were my fave to eat with the Puffs. They were so light and at the same time crisp and thin. Just lovely. Following this we received Beef Rendang with chili sambal, crispy shallot, gulai, squash. The curry sauce that came with this was something special. My husband said, and I quote “drown me in this and I’ll die happy” so that will tell you it’s worth coming in just for that. HahaThis dish also came with rice and the nicest Roti with a great char. Finally the last dish (before the dessert) came, the short ribs. Again a winner! So tender and sweet. This was served with a tamarind and chili dressing and a side salad reminiscent of the papaya salad but tossed in a tamarind ketchup. (This one I am guessing) was too busy eating to ask. Finally the dessert came, a vanilla soft serve sundae with salted caramel drizzled on top, milo brownie and peanuts. All of this in a delicious dreamy bowl. And that concluded our meal. We were stuffed and happy. The staff was extremely friendly and very descriptive regarding the dishes they brought us. This is a place to enjoy. And I was also informed they have now opened for brunch! I will return time and time again until I eat everything on the menu multiple times and then some. Enjoy. Come ready to eat and with an open mind to try some beautiful dishes.

Came here twice in one week it was so good! My first time was a girls dinner and the experience was everything and more! We booked a reservation the night before and could only get in at 9pm, so I would suggest booking at least 2 days in advance for a weekend dinner.Food: insanely delicious and so fresh. The dumplings had a perfect mix of herbs with a subtle kick. The curry puffs were so flakey and comforting. We also ordered the Nasi Goreng and the Butter Chicken (Highly recommend).Make sure to save room for dessert, we had their vanilla soft serve with caramel and brownies. It melts in your mouth and is so velvety.Overall the service was just as great as the food. The whole staff is so warm and inviting, our server was Tika and her energy was so positive, we love her!

If there are red peppers next to a dish on the menu please take it seriously! ... especially if you are south east Asian coz we tend to dismiss it 😄The food is authentic and delicious. I concur with lot of reviews here that it is noisy yet some nooks can be intimate 🙃The veg puffs, shrimp nasi goreng and chicken larb are out of this world. The devil curry is delicious but very hot so go with the rice with it. We had the roti which is great but the right pairing with the Devil Curry is rice.

I was recommended this restaurant by family and friends, and I’m so glad we took them up on it. The hosts & servers were super helpful & kind, and the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered Beef Rendang & Butter Chicken with roti and, for the quantity & quality, the price was well worth it. We also snagged parking on the beach so we could go for a sunset walk after dinner, and I highly recommend doing that rather than parking in the garage across the street.

Delicious South East Asian menu. Dumplings and dry aged kanpachi were amazing. Followed it up with the butter chicken curry and jasmine rice. 🤌 Ended with a refreshing palate cleanser vegan dessert... the coconut shaved ice with dragon fruit was it! Ask for Alberto - best service. The place was charming and advise on point. Loved!

I got the beef rendang and the butter chicken and it was VERY good. I came late for my reservation and they were still able to accommodate a table. My only critique is the service was a little slow, the waitress never came back after dropping the food off and we had to try to find someone to be able to pay the bill. I highly recommend Cobis!

Came for dinner and ordered the chef’s selection for $68 per person. We were blown away by every dish that came out. The ora king salmon might be the best dish that came out and we had it first. We then had the pork dumplings which were flavorful and came with a chili dipping sauce (not too spicy for us). The nasi goreng was good but we didn’t need it since the chefs selection included rice and roti. The butter chicken curry was the best I’ve ever had and the chicken was cooked perfectly in the flavorful sauce. The branzino was the other standout dish of the evening. The yellow curry it was served with was the right thick texture to compliment the flaky fish cooked perfectly. The Thai tea pudding for desert had a floral taste to it which I loved and the boba were soft and chewy. We also were given the vanilla soft serve which was good but not a standout. Overall I was blown away with this restaurant, the decor, the food, and the staff. Great experience from start to finish!
