Stopped by here on a Sunday around 11am and the food was great! I ordered the Bo Luc Lac and found it prepared well. The veggies weren’t over cooked and they didn’t over do any sauce. The waitress filled my water 4+ times. Definitely coming back!

Ive been patronizing this place since opening. I love it. 3 dishes in particular: Shaking Beef w fish sauce, vermicelli w bbq pork and pho of course. No AC so prepare for hot inside else mostly pleasant.

If you like meat order 41. Its the one with flank, rare beef and tripe and tendon. Lots of flank and beef, as in looots.Im giving it 4 stars because of lack of much choice in their pho section.I should have ordered the veg phoe with rare beef. I would have been a lot happier.The broth is deceptively tasty, the service and ambiance is ok.

This place is amazing! I’m a big fan of the sandwiches, the Pho is incredible and and of the broken rice dishes! Very authentic and very flavorful. I love coming here when I’m in town, no frills and totally my style of Vietnamese restaurant. Bring all of friends and family the place is very large and spacious!!!

Ordered grilled pork banh mi to go, $11.25. Fairly busy. Pho looks good. Lunch plates i saw looked good. Nice amount of meat, good amount of veggies ( mostly daikon, nice flavor. A little bit dry, but good. Ill come back to try a dinner plate next time.

We went once for lunch after church with two other families. As we walked in I saw two other tables with families from church which illustrated the popularity of this restaurant with people from our church.Everyone in my party raved about the food, especially the broken rice. I did find the pho quite flavorful. However I didnt understand the excitement so I am assuming its due to my ignorance of Vietnamese food.

The food was great but the service was terrible! The hostess was too slow, saw us standing there and never acknowledged us when right in the entrance theres a sign that reads please wait to be seated then the server (Asian short lady with short hair) was very rude. They never came to our table for service either. This seems better as a take out food if you dont want to wait around for more than half and hour to be served and thats if you go after them.

Fantastic lunch (#s 70 bbq pork & shrimp and 72 pork) in big bowls if vermicelli rice noodles with veggies, fish sauce, with hoisin, soy, and sri racha on the table. Fresh and very tasty, I am so glad we followed our noses across the street after a meeting!

Food:The food here is good for a quick bite. Nothing special about the pho here. The rice dish is average. The side dish soup is a little salty. Food portion is good. Price is good. The varieties of good is good.Service:The service here is actually pretty good. They will make sure you have enough water and get your food quickly. Its service is better than most Vietnamese restaurants.Ambience:Looks and feel like a fast food joint. Tables and chairs are wooden. The room is very open. Plenty of seats to choose from.

Excellent Vietnamese food frequently visited by the hospital workers next door. Delicious pho and bun bo hue hit the spot on a cold day. Beware of the little green peppers in bun bo hue and dont bite into them or youll regret it.

The restaurant closes at 8 but the staff want the kitchen closed at 7:20, turned off the open sign at 7:25. Their rude hurry-up attitude doesnt bother me, but their laziness does. Not worth your time or money, there are many other great restaurants nearby who will appreciate your business.

Com tam (broken rice) is the specialty of this restaurant. The menu is quite extensive with pork as a major protein pairing with everything. Always get the spring rolls and in this case, fish spring rolls(something new to try). The Korean bbq chicken is delicious -love charred meat. I have not tried the pho but maybe in a future visit. They are also competing with all the tea houses from around the region. Add another item to the list of things to try.

Its ok. I ended up getting a Thai tea boba and as I was drinking it I noticed it had something footing on top. They said it was from the boba but to be honest it looked nothing like boba. They didnt want to replace it and I was not going to drink it not knowing what it was.

Was just here for lunch, stopped by for the first time for a quick bowl of pho. Got the regular beef bowl pho, and the broth was really quite good. The speed left something to be desired and we had to ask for small dishes and spoons. However it was lunch hour and very busy, so it didnt matter.

Very disappointed and disgusted! I ordered pho chicken and combination take out yesterday. After getting home. I opened the bag and took everything out and roaches came out onto my kitchen table. I called immediately to complain and get a refund. I will never eat there again. No excuse!! That place is disgusting and needs to be shut down and cleaned up. Too bad because their food is really good. I threw everything away. Gross!!

This is just an update to my visit here. Due to the pandemic, I understand that they have to change the hours and close at 7 PM. I haven’t been here for quite some time. Tonight I came here for my favorite dish. I came in and there were barely any customers. Again, it’s been some time since I came by here so I was not aware that they close at 7 PM. I stood there in the entrance for about five minutes and made I contact with a couple of the female employees which they completely ignored me and walked into the kitchen. I saw that the floor of the kitchen was being washed and when I saw a gentleman at the kitchen walking by the doorway and I asked him if they were closed and he said they were. It would have been nice if somebody told me that they were closed instead of me just standing there looking stupid. Service has really gone down the toilet at this location.

It was so terrible. The soup was clearly watered down and it wasnt flavorful. The service was bad because they didnt have simple items like extra fish sauce thats not already mixed or toothpicks. They only had soy sauce for seasoning the Pho. The servers also didnt listen to what we wanted so we had to repeat to them multiple times.

The service was fast, I waited about 10 minutes for my order. The thing I was not very happy about was pick up and when I opened my order. I was going to ask the lady if the bag had soy sauce and oil based sauce but she interrupted me mid sentence saying “everything is there”. There were also no napkins in the bag. I also remember requesting a combination pho with shrimp but they ended up giving me an all beef combination. The guy who took my order was nice but everything else that has a lot of room for improvement.

This restaurant is on a section of Bascom Avenue with many vacancies. The restaurant is in a building that looks older, but the dining room is clean and spacious. The menu is quite extensive. The food came quickly. My pho with rare steak came with a generous amount of beef and the broth was good, not too sweet. My wifes combination rice plate with pork chop, egg cake and other meats was good, but the pork chop was very chewy. My son enjoyed his noodle soup with seafood and snails, except the snails were extremely chewy. We will come again to try other items on the menu.

The food here is authentic and delicious. The menu is huge but the best thing seems to be the BBQ pork. The smoothies are also really good, they come with boba and are made of actual fruit. The service is very hurried, so its good for a quick lunch especially during weekdays. Theyre not going to ask if you need anything or how your meal is, which is ok since they bring your food out in 5 minutes. Its very casual as well.

The service is very disorganized and we had to remind them to bring different parts of our order they forgot. I love this place though I use it nearly exclusively for takeaway food as opposed to eat in.The food is good quality and really affordable.Parking can be a bit of a pain as they have limited spaces and the entrance is also the exit therefore cars are always in each others way - personally I’d recommend parking in the neigbouring road, a 20 second walk away, if you are doing pickup…. The chicken pho is pretty good and it comes out pretty fast. The smoothies taste a little bit too Icy or watered down and the boba looked like it had been sitting at the bottom of the cup the bottom of the cup for a long time...almost like it was melted. Beef soup is delicious and consistent. Pho noodles is very good. Texture is good. Pho comes in 2 sizes. I usually order the small/regular and it is enough for me at lunch. Portion is large. You get ample meat with your soup. Parking can be a problem as the place is popular during lunch.

If you are looking for some decent Vietnamese food in this area of SJ you will be delighted to stop by here. A nice menu, large seating area (that was almost filled at the time I went) and flavorful food. I got Pho as I was feeling a bit under the weather and although the restaurant name would indicate the specialize in the broken rice plates the Pho was pretty good too. Reasonable prices and accepts credit cards. Service was quick and helpful.

Their specialty is broken-rice dishes and they do it very well. I always get it with shredded pork skin and Korean beef rib (Cơm Tấm Bì Sườn Bò Đại Hàn) and have never been disappointed. Broken rice offers a textural variation more than flavorwise so the soft pork rinds add a heap of both.The crosscut Galbi ribs are drizzled with savory green-onion oil and fried shallots. On the side, some cucumber and pickles (Đồ Chua, the familiar daikon-and-carrot mix along with cabbage) are more than just a garnish and impart a crunchy zing. Accompanied by blended fish sauce (Nước Chấm) and a small—insanely hot—Thai chili pepper, the flavors meld kaleidoscopically, ringing totally authentic.I usually also order the grilled pork sausage roll appetizer (Nem Nướng Cuốn) which, along with the entree, fill me up for the rest of the day. Like regular spring rolls (Gỏi Cuốn) they come wrapped in moistened rice paper and need to be eaten immediately before it dries out stiff. In addition to the veggies you find in fresh spring rolls, there is a surprise crunch provided by fried wonton wrapper. Dipped greedily into the cool peanut sauce topped with chopped, roasted peanuts and a dollop of sriracha, the warm meat is a counterpoint in temperature, taste, and bite.I don’t bother with the many other dishes they offer. They may be wonderful for all I know but this restaurant boasts a specialty in its name and that’s what you should go for.

Solid experience. This seems to be local (Willow Glen) hot spot as the crowd in this Vietnamese restaurant was very mixed and the place was very busy on a Thursday night. Many people came here as single diners to slurp their pho, which seems to be one of their best selling dishes.I got a rice plate (Korean BBQ, $10) which was okay - white rice, some vegetables, and BBQ meat. I wish they wouldnt have been that stingy with the meat - or maybe I was just too hungry and finished my plate within 2 minutes. Not sure. But for $10 you cant go wrong.Next time Ill try the broken rice as many others rave about it. And pho, of course!

I don’t recommend doing curbside pick up during Covid. They do not have a separate line for people who are picking phone up versus people who are ordering on the spot. I ordered by phone well in advance and was still stuck waiting in a super long, super slow line for people to figure out what they wanted. I finally get to the front, and the girl working there just takes off and doesn’t say anything. She eventually came back and gave me my order and charge me. I wish I can give it a zero star because of the manager named Peter. He is truly the worst manager that I have run into in my life. He is arrogant, obnoxious and stupid. He does not care about the customers because he thinks a big shot manager.
