COMPAGNON Wine Bistro in San Pedro

Absolutely love this spot. We bring our friends here when they come to town. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. The wine lists are unique and exceptional. The French Onion soup is the best I’ve ever eaten—including dining in France. The steak frites are wonderful. You can’t go wrong eating here.

We went for brunch and had a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, very airy and light. There’s also sitting outside in a park let covered with umbrellas. We were there early so we got seated right away. Parties started coming in with reservations after we were seated. I recommend making reservations. Our food was excellent. We ordered the Bread Pudding French Toast and beet cured Salmon Tartine. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of food. The service was great. The servers were friendly and efficient. We would definitely come back for dinner.

I have wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time. Finally my friend took me there yesterday for my birthday. Everything we ordered was so delicious. We had the bouillabaisse, filet mignon, and octopus salad. The wine was smooth. The staff were very friendly and nice.I definitely will introduce this restaurant to my other friends.

Five star dining experience. Food, service and ambiance all exceptional. Fresh ingredients, with flavors spot on. Everything was seasoned perfectly. We ordered the heirloom salad which had smashed olives in their dressing so as not to be overwhelming - it was a perfect balance of flavors. Opened up my appetite to our main courses, the mussels and salmon. All flavored superbly. Chocolate mouse was slightly salty and exuded wonderful and pure chocolate flavor, also balanced very nicely! This is a place where the passion for food and service really shows. Definitely a restaurant worth supporting and your taste buds will thank you. Love that we have a reliable and authentic French place near us we can go to! Spoke to the owner who is from Lyon so he knows his stuff.

Wonderful French cuisine. The Spanish octopus special was the best octopus Ive ever had. And the beef bourguignon was tender and perfectly seasoned. And I loved the delicately prepared fresh veggies on the side. I will be going back.

Fantastic!We had the escargot for starters. It came with delicious little puff pastries which soaked up the delicious garlic source perfectly.For mains we ordered Beef Bourguignon and the Bouillabaisse. Both dishes were just oozing with flavour. The beef was tender and the sauce was intense and deep. Even the mash potatoes were creamy and full of flavour. The Bouillabaisse had a rich, dark soup.The service was prompt and the atmosphere cozy. I like it when restaurants have smaller menus - I feel it lets them focus on getting what theyve got perfect.Must try!

Love this spot. As a vegetarian I wish there were more choices on the menu, but that’s how good this place is - I’ll order the same thing every time and still enjoy the evening. Lovely owner(s), great atmosphere, solid wine list. A real gem.

Todays Sunday Grubday adventure brought me to this little French restaurant in San Pedro. Food was tasty, wine was light with a touch of sweetness, coffee was good....wasnt a fan of the lemon bar but overall this place was more than I expected. Owners were very pleasant and attentive.....I just might find myself dining here again.

Another gem in the San Pedro area!!Fresh heirloom tomato salad was to die for! The chocolate mousse, was bowl licking amazing! We also had the beef bourguignon and steak and frites. Perfectly cooked and so rich. The owners were also amazing to talk to. A restaurant we will be visiting every time we are in the area (I think we’ll make special trips up here too!) Don’t miss out on this one!!!

Recently, I had dinner at this restaurant where we ordered steak and duck leg. The duck leg was incredibly delicious, but unfortunately, not worth its price. On the other hand, the steak had an odd taste to it. When I brought this up to the waitress, who appeared to be the owner, I asked her to try the meat. Her response was extremely rude, and she made me feel guilty for even suggesting it. Frustrated, I concluded that the meat was spoiled. However, the chef intervened and explained that it was not his fault, but rather an issue with the meat supplier. The chef was much more pleasant to deal with, but unfortunately, the waitress never returned to check on us.
