We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Copenhagen Corner today! The danish pastry + coffee was Delicious! The trio of open faced sandwiches was a fun way to try multiple flavors and maybe something new. The omelet was huge and also very delicious. The owners are so welcoming and kind, we will definitely be back and will bring family and friends to experience the Hygge! Don’t miss out!

It’s so rare to find Danish food in SoCal. Well executed and extremely friendly owners. The lamb shank was wonderful. Don’t forget to end with a danish and ice cream. We’ll be back!

Five Stars all the way!!We were there for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. Mona and the staff were very accommodating and food was a delight. We had Pickled Herring and Pork Hock, both of which were delicious and an experience to behold.Although location is not very ideal in that the place itself cant be seen from the street and in a quiet neighborhood, its the only place in Orange County where you can partake in authentic and tasty Scandinavian specialty food. The way they mix the ingredients and present the food is very Danish. Very palatable to the eyes!!Medium sized diner, very ideal for small gatherings and cozy dinners. Very clean and comfortably organized.Will be coming back for more delightful experience, thats for sure.Thank you Mona and family for creating a place to experience Danish delights!

It was our first but not our last time going. The food was excellent and very filling. It was more than the food, though. The experience was very enjoyable. My father speaks a Scandinavian language and so they placed the flag of his language in front of him and treated him and all of us well. We enjoyed appetizers and our main dishes. The owner would come around and check on us to make sure we enjoyed it and if there was anything. We really felt like family while there, not just like diners.

What a great little gem this place is. It is in the plaza above my daughter’s physical therapy / sports training location, so I decided to pop in a few times and try out a few dishes with a glass of wine while I waited for her. OMG - so good - the breads, the bratwurst, sauerkraut, pickled cabbage and other items. Family owned and they are wonderful, engaging and kind. Make you feel like you are eating at their home. A must visit not just for the amazing food but their hospitality. I will be back weekly! Next up - gonna try the herring!

We absolutely loved our exceptional dinner tonight at Copenhagen Corner. The gracious service and friendliness were beyond compare. Our experience from start to finish was so delicious. First up, a delicate herring appetizer, followed by our entrees - A wonderfully braised lamb shank with root vegetables and a seared salmon with salad. The dill sauce accompanying the salmon was creamy and the salad was so fresh. We both had the roasted potatoes and they were incredible. This meal was perfect in every way and weCannot wait to go back for more. Thank you so very much.

A real hidden gem! It’s really hard to find authentic European food in Southern California, especially Danish. Came across Copenhagen Corner on a google map search and decided to give it a shot. We were impressed! Tried the pork belly with cream parsley sauce, Frikadeller, Hakkebøf, and danish pastry. Everything was fantastic! It’s a family run and owned business and everyone was friendly and happy to share their culture through food. You can see your food being prepared and all the hard work that goes into every dish. Definitely need more small family run businesses like this around. Definitely will be back again.

This is by far the most authentic Danish Restaurant, I have ever visited outside Denmark. Run by a very nice family, they prepare almost everything by themselves. Highly recommend this place, especially their Frikadeller, Cod Fish and Pastries

Enjoyed an excellent lunch today. House breaded and perfectly pan fried cod with roasted potatoes. The remoulade that accompanied the fish was delicious! Hubby had the Pork Tenderloin Open Faced Sandwich on hearty rye bread. He was very happy also! We met Mona who is very hospitable and kind. Well definitely add this restaurant to our regular repertoire.

Im 1/2 Danish, but havent had a Danish meal since my Mom became sick in 14. I decided to have my Bday dinner here last week and I was overcome with emotion when I saw the flags and decor. We arrived early so I had a chance to talk with owner and her daughter before it got busy. We toasted Skol with authentic Carlsberg beer, shared the HUGE Viking salad, and had the Frikadeller dinner with the best potatoes and red cabbage ever. Dessert was Danish pastry with tiny Danish flags. Also had the Danish flag on my table (Danish Bday custom.)I cant wait to come back for smorrebrod (open face sandwiches) & hopefully Christmas Eve dinner. Copenhagen Corner is 1000% authentic and Hygge is everywhere. Tak for middagen!

A real hidden gem. They have been only open for a few weeks, but have managed to make me a long-term customer. I was undecided on what I was going to order so I decided to order the sampler plate of 3 open faced sandwiches. I believe they call it the slider on the menu. They were all delicious and I can’t wait to go back and try three more. So many wonderful things on the menu. They have a fabulous dessert as well. I highly recommend Copenhagen corner. Perfect hygge spot.

Delicious! What a fun place! The food is authentic Danish style and sauces are so good. The proprietor is a wonderful conversationalist with quite a personal story to tell, and full of interesting suggestions about things to see and do in Denmark. We went with friends; all 4 of us ordered different things, and we each really liked what we had for dinner. We went for the ‘top 4 most classic’ Danish entrees. I had the stew, my wife had the meatballs, and our friends had the meat loaf and lamb shank. Wow! We all highly recommend this place for the food and the overall dining experience - we’ll go back for sure!

Dined here once. Never been to Denmark so I have no real reference to authentic Danish cuisine, but my meal (Copenhagen Stew) was very good. What made it better was the fabulous service by the owner and her family. Family-owned dining is what I prefer over chain places and the service was top notch.

Weve visited twice and had wonderful meals each time! Tonights Jerusalem Artichoke soup brought a tear to my moms eye as she said, My dad wouldve loved this! Please inject the brown sauce directly in my veins!Edit 1 Sept 23: The brown sauce is now gluten free so it can also be injected into my sisters veins! The expanded menu is great and delicious!

My husband and I came here tonight for my birthday due to us having Scandinavian heritage and loving the food - and we have been searching high and low for a Danish restaurant closer to us. So excited that they are in Orange County!!! It was such a pleasant experience for us! The food was delicious and authentic! The Customer service was excellent and refreshing to see. Not impressed. Cheese decoration (they got themselves two or three Danish props and that’s it). Service surely isn’t one of their best features, dishes are o.k. But not as authentic as you would expect. They were eager for us to leave as they never asked us for another drink, desert nor anything. Overpriced compared to the whole experience. Family owned Danish food in Laguna Niguel. My friend had recommended we try it based on reviews in another app and I’m so happy we did. Went for lunch on a Thursday I believe and we were quickly seated. We reviewed the menu, and also asked the friendly owner what the best options were and both decided we wanted to mix and match so went with the sliders.These are not your typical slider where one or two bites you are done. They are open faced sandwiches, and you get THREE of them! I opted for the breaded cod, frikadellar, and roasted beef filet. They make everything in house including their delicious rye bread. It’s very dense so there is one slice at the bottom of your open faced sandwich which is more than enough bread.The breaded cod is with lemon, asparagus, avocado, and remoulade. The breading was very light which I enjoyed. I could have eaten this without the rye. It was good, but not my favorite. My friend got the salmon instead.The frikadellar was my favorite ❤️. Danish pork meatballs with pickled cabbage and cucumbers . Yummy to my tummy. The meatballs were so tender and the flavor combinations were explosive in my mouth. I’d go back for that meal alone.Finally the roasted beef filet. I wanted to love this with its caramelized onions and pickled beets, but the meat wasn’t cut thin or tender enough to easily cut with the knife. I had to fight to get a bite each time. The beets and onions were gobbled up no problem, but the meat was a chore to enjoy. It was cooked nicely, but the cut wasn’t a tender piece.Looking forward to going back for the frikadellar meatballs and something on their dinner menu I have yet to try.
