Great spot in downtown SLO, service is great and the food was really good. I recommend the Café de Olla and the chilaquiles.
This cafe is a great addition to downtown SLO. We had the carnitas quesadilla with veggies (we could have split it-- very good-sized portion) and it was really delicious. The iced mocha coffee was like an adult version of chocolate milk. The staff members were friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The vibe was bright and relaxed. Ill be back!

Im on vacation with my wife and we decided to give this place a try. Glad we did. Its refreshing to see choices beyond the standard coffee shop or diner fare. They have good portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service. I wish we were staying another night in SLO because there are other menu options we would love to give a try.
This cafe is very cute and very lively, though a little crowded and warm on humid days. The mazapan coffee had great flavor (though the texture was odd - kind of gritty and with large chunks of peanut in it), and the torta was excellent. But the service was really, really bad. The girl behind the counter got my order wrong twice, both the drink and the sandwich, and my sandwich had to be remade because it contained allergens. This was because she didn’t know the menu, so when I told her no sour cream, she didn’t put that in because she didn’t believe me that the torta came with sour cream. She also gave me the wrong bathroom code. I had to wait almost forty minutes for my takeout order, and the restaurant is so tiny there was no good place to wait; I felt constantly in someone’s way. If you have time for a leisurely sit down meal, give it a try, but if you are getting takeout, be careful to make sure your order is inputted correctly, and be prepared to wait.
This place is a little gem in the heart of SLO. Wonderful atmosphere with authentic specialty coffees, pastries, and food from Mexico. Its now my regular go-to for a delicious, relaxing breakfast or lunch. Dont miss it!
Very welcoming feeling as soon as you walk in, the food is amazing! Best chilaquiles hands down, and according to my husband the best breakfast wrap he’s ever had! 10/10 recommend!

This establishment is filled with love, good energy and amazing authentic Mexican food.Super healthy, grounded food. It’s not your typical spot for tacos in town.A definite must eat there! It’s very tasty and healthy with a cozy feel.Love it sooo much!Thank you Pedro and Checho!

From the decor to the coffee to the food to the service, Corazon Cafe is worth a visit. My husband took me there this morning after seeing a recommendation on Reddit, and it was so delish!What we enjoyed eating:Mazapan Latte: a wonderfully delicious peanutty coffee that smells just like a Butterfinger!Cafe de Olla: a non-milk brown sugar and cinnamon coffeeChilaquiles with carne asada: a large portion so enough to split or have for another mealPancakes with local berries & banana: a large enough portion to take some home for later (and whatever butter they use on top is a 10/10!)We met two (of the three) owners while dining. One greeted us upon entering, and was friendly and helpful when we were ordering. Another owner came to our table during our meal to make sure we were enjoying everything, and he was telling us a bit about the history of the restaurant.I am looking forward to going back, and I will be dreaming of the Mazapan Latte until then!
My wife heard about this place opening up, and we went to try it out. We ordered the chilaquiles, breakfast wrap, guava & cheese empanada (from a local baker), cafe de la olla, and mazapan latte. Everything was AMAZING - we are definitely coming back here, and inviting all our friends too! The owner is very hospitable, and pretty funny, too. Loved the food, loved the service, loved the cozy, home-y atmosphere.
I popped in to this cafe this weekend on a recommendation from a coworker. The owners are friendly and accommodating. I asked about vegan options, and they whipped up a plate of Gallo Pinto (beans and rice) with an avocado sauce that was delicious. Their horchata is vegan and is also very good. I look forward to going back to try the Cafe de Olla, which they can make with oat milk. I am excited for this new cafe!

I finally got a chance to come by and try out Corazon Cafe, which is owned by the family that also runs the Corazon 805 food truck.(Also it is worth mentioning is they are NOT affiliated with the old owners of KIN/Glo coffee).The food and pastries selections were great, and I really enjoyed the cafe de olla, which also comes in cold brew, plus the chilaquiles were tasty.Will definitely be stopping by more often, especially since they have such a good location and a unique selection of coffee and treats.

Stopped by a bit ago! Man behind the counter was friendly and accommodating. Ended up getting the concha (delicious warm and fresh), an empanada (also delicious), and a cafe de olla that made me immediately call my mom to tell her how good it was.
Used to work under Pedro at another restaurant and I’m so glad to see he’s opened up his own! He is such a hospitable and funny guy and I wish him the best. Have had food from his catering business over at Liquid Gravity on Friday nights and it’s amazing!

Delicious food and original flavors from Mexico! Highly recommend the tascalatte and mazapán latte, the tortas are to die for - softest bread and the chorizo was *chefs kiss*. I wish I had a picture to post but I ate it too quickly, great stop on a road trip or just in the SLO area!

2023-10-01 23:11:04If I could give more than 5 stars I honestly would. Ive been to every café in town and this is the best, no question. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively as soon as you come in. The decor and plants are beautiful. The food is AMAZING--I got chilaquiles and my partner got tostada con mole verde. (I couldnt get my partner to stop eating long enough to get a picture, lol). The portions are huge, too. The drink offerings are traditional and Ive never seen them in another café. I got the Pinole Latte. The people are so so friendly and kind. Come here if you get the chance!!

2023-07-23 17:28:32My husband and I were visiting in town and decided to come here for breakfast. We were hopeful given all the good reviews.I ordered the pancakes with fruit, and my husband ordered the breakfast wrap. We were a little disappointed with the selection of food available. Its very limited. I was also hoping for some orange juice, but they didnt have any. Neither my husband nor I was impressed with the food. The pancakes tasted very eggy and the breakfast wrap felt like it was missing something, like it needed potatoes or something. The downtown SLO prices felt overpriced for the quality of the food we received ($33 for just the two entrees).The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice with all the colors and decorations.We did however notice flies in the cafe when we walked in. At first, I chalked it up to be from the door being open and it being a warm day. But then I noticed a fly on top of the pastries in the pastry case, which I found to be pretty gross. To say the least, we lost our appetites and couldnt finish our food.Overall, we were disappointed with our experience here and wouldnt recommend this cafe.

2023-11-09 16:23:07We stopped in for breakfast while visiting town and were very happy with our choice. We had the chillaquilles, corned beef hash, and pancakes. We loved everything. They make the chorizo in house and its perfect.We also tried two of their specialty lattes and enjoyed them as well.Finally, the owner was working behind the coffee bar and was lovely. Very friendly and hospitable. The music selection was also lively and at the right level for a conversation.

The moment I stepped in, I was warmly greeted and felt immediately at home. The pride flag at the register was a delightful surprise. Its heartening to know theres an inclusive haven downtown offering such fantastic food and beverages. As for the seating, I lean more towards chairs than stools, but the fact that they offered both options was a pleasant touch. Ill definitely be returning!

2023-11-21 20:24:21Having tried Corazons tacos at various breweries and events, I looked forward to seeing their full time offerings. My expectations were surpassed. A welcome addition to downtown with their flavorful, fresh and unique menu mixed with creativity and community support. We enjoyed the chilaquiles with carnitas, tostadas, quesadilla and pancakes. We each tried a different coffee drink and struggled to choose a favorite.You can taste, feel and see the love in their dishes, service and atmosphere.
