Ordered Banh mi with beef pho. Although I always go for the Pho Dac Biet where I can find it, the beef pho with meat balls was still good without the tripe and tendon.I also loved that the rice noodles consistency.Banh mi was yummy with plenty of grilled pork and fresh ingredients. Had to snap a pic of all the goodness inside.Dining space was a little small but definitely coming back!With cold weather and seasonal depression on the way, a nice warm bowl of pho is the way to go!

This was my 1st time going here and I ordered a pork banh mi sandwich. Spent under $10 on it and I guess paying with cash gives you a 5% discount! It was delicious! Great flavors, crisp bread, good veggies. Customer service was great, music playing in the background was great. I will go again. Highly recommend trying it.

I order out on the phone, and they were so helpful and patience while i was looking at the menu and asking questions.The chicken pho is good not the best but the broth is so amazing I even order extra.The chicken bahn mi was really tasty, i usually go to south sac but this is a deal. A sandwhich and drink for $10 😃Will return for the spicy chicken wings =)Bring cash (discount) and help midtown sac restaurant.I did return to wings and bahn mi.Wings are great make sure you great sauce though. But again the bahn mi was super salty i couldnt finish it.However i do cook little salt.Try it out sactown!

I ordered the chicken pho and the chicken wings. Never had the pho soup so sweet and the chicken wings had a sweet glaze. Not my idea of Vietnamese food. My favorite Vietnamese restaurant is in San Francisco.

This place is only known for pho. Everything else is just either from a can or premade. Definitely they veer off and away from traditional Vietnamese taste. I go elsewhere for things like bun bo hue or banh beo

Great service and very willing to accommodate (non-allergen) dietary requests. Our sever even suggested that my friend substitute the noodles in his soup for vegetables on account of he mentioned he was trying to stick with his Keto diet. Will definitely be coming back. WARNING it can be very spicy depending on the dish you choose.

Everything on the bahn mi was good, except the bread. It was inedible. It tasted like a generic hoagie roll sat in a freezer for three years and then was microwaved within an inch of its life. Im not an avid reviewer on Google, but this was so bad I couldnt not let other people know. If you have a palette more advanced than a 3-year-old toddler, please dont take a chance with their bahn mi. It was extremely disappointing.

This was my first time trying this place and the first time in my 23 years of living in Elk Grove/Sacramento that Ive left a review on any establishment.After arguing on an establishment to dine at for our four year anniversary we decided on Coriander; this was the most savory and delicious Vietnamese food that Ive ever tasted. All I talked about to my date during the hour that we were there was so amazing the food was (decided to go with the beef pho). Furthermore, the service was phenomenal. We had trouble parking (we live out in the country) since we dont come to downtown often and the staff was so kind to help us figure out the best location. I have never felt more welcome in any establishment in the years that Ive lived here.As someone with both professional and cultural experience with Vietnamese food I was left in complete awe with the quality of the meal. The broth was meticulously balanced with just the right ratio of meat to noodles. We paid less than 30 bucks for a meal that I wouldnt mind paying hundreds for.

Overall a decent place to get pho, one of the better spots in the area. I come here a lot. Sometimes its a bit hit or miss and Im not sure why exactly, but usually everything is pretty good. Ill continue to come here when I want decent pho at a reasonable price point.

My husband and I were on the hunt for some good Vietnamese food that wasnt too far from our hotel, and Im so glad that we decided on Coriander! The shaken beef was perfect and paired with a generous salad. Staff was attentive and very kind, too.

Great place to grab a bite! I came in for a takeout because the original place I was going to I couldnt find parking so I decided to experiment with some place new. The menu is pretty straightforward with a few entrees and a few soups so for those used to scrolling through pages its a nice change of pace. The service was awesome too as the hostess greeted me and offered her opinion when I asked her what I was looking for. I ended with the lemongrass chicken and it was tasty. The location is right on the corner with decent parking on the streetaide but the interior is a little small so not good for large parties at peak hours. Overall would recommend!

My wife and I read some reviews on this place and decided to try it out. After taking our dog for a long walk we decided to call in a order. When I arrived to pick up the order the order was short an item when I pointed this out to the young lady at the counter she responded rudely you verified the order over the phonewhen I informed her that she missed the first item that I ordered, sh just repeating herself. None the less, I ordered the other item and waited an additional 10 minutes. While I was waiting for the food, I witnessed a very sickly mouse staggering just inside the front door. I processed to inform the staff that didnt seem to surprised. That should have been enough for me but I must have been hunger blind. When I got home the Pho I ordered looked like it was prepackaged and the juice bland and flavorless. The sandwiches were just OK. I looked at a take out menu that I grabbed on the way out and the prices on the website are obviously not updated because the items were at least a couple of dollars more each. In short (lol) avoid Coriander at all costs. Id recommend the Pho House on Fair oaks Blvd, they are off the hook...

Mixed feelings. Noodle was very good and the broth was tasty. The meat was very old or spoiled I couldnt even eat the brisket (I dont think Ive ever had a restaurants beef that old / bad where I was worried Id get sick) the meatball also tasted weird too though so prob all their beef was older, when I payed for my food the lady asked me how the food was and I mentioned the meat was rly sour and inedible and she said really? alot of other people have been mentioning that. Hmmm well maam not to be rude but maybe dont serve your customers rotten meat? The fact that she knew the meat was bad and was still serving it to customers and didnt at least offer a discount or to comp the meat, felt like a real big waste of 15$, the leftovers smelled so awful the next day did not touch them and they were in the fridge the whole time the meat was definitely rotten.

Food is slightly above average, average service and atmosphere.I had the Beef Pho. Traditional serving. The beef tasted fresh. Cheap cuts, but it was tender. Good fat to meat ratio.The broth was very well balanced, salty and beefy. It was very hearty and was a beautiful base for the soup.None of the heat factors were hot enough for me. Their jalepenos were very mild. They have very little control over this in the winter months, but they could have pickled Thai chilis. They have a salty chili paste that is delicious and medium spicy. The hot chili oil is also an extremely good recipe, honestly these two condiments were the star of the meal.My girlfriend had the bahn mi and really enjoyed it. Again, mild, but jalepenos are this time of year.We were out the door for $30 including tip, so that was nice, considering even fast food these days has me in that range.Its a really wonderful place to have as a local pho option if you live near midtown.

I ordered shaken beef and some hot sauce on the side. First they missed the hot sauce and the beef is almost uncooked and some horrible cut. I have never eaten beef tasting this bad before. There was no salt or sauce in the rest of the curry - it tastes totally flat

We love this spot near our house. Their food is always so fresh and staff is so friendly. Seems like a family run spot. We had not had the Vietnamese crabs before. They were surprisingly really good. Their food is always light and tasty and the meat is very fresh.

I ate nothing for the rest of the day... because MSG gives some people some pretty debilitating headaches... and Im one of them. The owner is free to reach out and refund my money or give me a free meal of the same value WITHOUT MSG, obviously this is not my real name BECAUSE I VALUE MY PRIVACY (something more Californians could learn) but I can prove I was there yesterday, maybe you should actually have more control over your ingredients, especially considering your prices. Second time here. The flavor is very good, though the service can be much better if its adequately staffed, for the high amount of customers during lunch and dinner hours. Both times, have had long waiting time to be seated, when theres empty tables, when only two people are tending to take puts and waiting on tables.Hire additional staff, you have plenty of business. I am sure you can afford additional staffing.

Nice, clean. Very welcoming, polite, helpful, friendly staff and although it seemed like there was only 1 wait staff on duty, our food was served within a reasonable time. We had the chicken wings (so good), corriander fried rice and pork chop (yumm!) and all of it was very tasty, a little spicy for my taste, but still good, and they are happy to adjust the spice level for you. In addition, their prices are very reasonable, especially for lunch. Overall, I gave it a 5, what more can you ask for? Just get there early, because there is limited seating and youll want to eat the food there to fully appreciate it.

My son and I are weekly regulars. This has become our new spot for pho, since the other pho places in town have declined or closed. I’ve been disheartened lately because, once I came in at 20 til 9pm and was told I had to order takeout only. Ok, fair enough, but pho to-go is not the same so we left. Just the other day, I arrived at about 8:25 and the first thing I was told was, we close at 9. I have never taken longer than 30 minutes to eat pho and it didn’t feel welcoming. Most places will gladly serve you 30 minutes before closing. I asked the guy, when is an appropriate time to order in. He said, oh 8:30. I really love this place, but we will be looking for a new pho place. 😞

Im not shy about giving out five stars if the place is deserving, and with the service I received here and the quality of the food, its a solid five stars for Coriander! Ive had Pho all over town, but what makes this place stand out is their grilled pork pho, its so delicious! Their fish sauce has a different flavor from others as well and its very tasty. The overall ambiance inside and outside is great and the service is top notch. Their staff is very attentive and super friendly, even when I order take-out. I would highly recommend a visit to Coriander if youre looking for a great place to eat in the midtown area.

I really liked this restaurant and got take out from them almost weekly to support them during COVID. Two times now, I got home and was missing an essential part of the meal so that I could not eat one of the two dishes we ordered (bun without sauce is useless). Mistakes happen! The first time it happened, the person who answered the phone apologized and offered to give me credit for a free dish in the future. OK. He also was about to get off work and dropped off the missing ingredient (I never did use that credit because he made good).Today, I got home and all the herbs, lime, bean sprouts and whatnot were missing for the soup. I called and was treated extremely rudely. No apology for messing up the order. She said she couldnt find my order in the list therefore all she could do was give me 10% off my next order. She was not even willing to reimburse me for the meal I now cant eat. She refused to give me her name but she was manning the phone at 5:30 on Friday Nov 6th. I cant remember the last time I was treated so rudely. This place has lost a loyal customer.

I forget the servers name but she was fantastic; kind, cheerful, fast, suggestive with coffees and meals, welcoming, accommodating. There was an issue with how a particular meal was prepared and without me saying anything she asked how was my meal, and I passively told her. She wound up speaking with her lead and I was NOT charged for the meal. A lot of restaurants dont do that. I was even willing to walk away with a side or something. I would definitely come back......AND there was quaint n cozy outside dining which is rare during shelter in place. So thank you!

I been wanting to try this place out for awhile now, and I finally did. Let me start by saying the menu was kinda confusing, I dont usually feel that way about any restaurant I been in the past, I wanted to get the steak with the fried egg on it but I couldnt find it in the menu, I wanted to show them a picture on here but I didnt. Instead I went with some noodles over two toasty shrimps and chicken with peanuts over them. The chicken was amazing I wish I could of had more of it instead of these noodles. The atmosphere here is pretty hot: I am guessing they dont have no central heating nor air. The tables are a little to small for my taste. The pho my significant other got was okay; Pretty average pho. the outside of the restaurant looks very fancy may I add, it looked really high end thats why I hesitated on visiting it. The prices were good and so was the hospitality so I would give them a 4 stars, would of gave them 5 if there wasnt any insects flying around and if it had outdoor seating since there wasnt any a/c might as well sit outside.

I was desire for some hot noodle soup last night and also decided to find below based on great reviews from a number of my preferred Elite Yelpers. I got the Pho Beef, as well as my good friend bought the Bun Thit Nuong. We were both delighted with our orders and got to take home leftovers to enjoy for tomorrow. In my opinion on the Pho Beef, this dining establishment served a generous quantity of meat to noodle proportion. I constantly like to purchase my rare steak on the side to avoid from over food preparation in the hot broth, as well as this is the only means to do it. The brew didnt come out piping hot, so it did take awhile for the rare steak to prepare itself, however it deserves the wait. As I am highly delicate to MSG, and I commonly had problem taking pleasure in the Pho soup without side effects. To my pleasent surprise, I was not excessively parched after having several of the soup. I will certainly be back soon for even more Pho Beef! The solution was excellent and also rapid. I misplaced time while overtaking my good friend over dinner, and also we talked 10 mins pass the closing time. They were nice and also did not hurry us out. I appreciated the quality food and service below.

I came here to eat because they were rated well on Yelp. The grilled chicken pho is amazing! It was my first time having a pho that tasted as good as as this. Pho in general is good comfort food, but the smokiness of the chicken pushes this wonderful broth to a new level. I also had the jackfruit shake and it was so good. Its the only other place in Sacramento that Ive gotten one. Ill be going back soon and ordering the pork chop as Ive heard its wicked good.

Greeted warmly as soon as I walked in and seated by the window for the better view of the gorgeous day. So thoughtful! After a few minutes my server came back and asked if there were any questions and helped me determine my choice! Grilled chicken pho with added beef ball... Oh.....eMMMMMMMmmmm... Geeeee!!! Why did no one think of this before! The grilled chicken is wonderful - its tender and much easier to eat then the original dry strips of white meat chicken that are usually placed in the bowls... grilled chicken adds a more robust flavor to the chicken broth, that smokey touch is literal perfection! Egg rolls are good sized and come out nice and hot!

The place is cozy, small, 8 tables but it has bar style seating. I tried thier Pho, i didnt like thier sausage.. just cut to big. Noodles where plenty!! Beef enough. They are lacking condiments. Coriander has the best chicken pho with the simplest ingredients and it is my new go-to-spot whenever I need a healing bowl of soup with some soul! The broth is authentically flavored with traditional seasonings and the best part is that you can add your own level of spice like I did with some Thai Chili Peppers from my art garden...if you really want a nice inflammatory aid add some black pepper! They give you a side of thai basil and bean sprouts with jalapeno and lime that allow you to create spicy, sour and savory versions of this timeless dish over and over again! Be good to yourself on a rainy day and stop by to view their local restaurant, they have outstanding customer service and seriously are great at making dishes that culturally embrace the beauty of Sacramento! I have actually been struck with so numerous suggestions on where to get great Vietnamese food in Sacramento, where the most effective Pho is, where to get the very best spring rolls, and so on, so I have been holding out till the best time to have Vietnamese considering that relocating below. Buddies really desired to go to Coriander so I damaged the Vietnamese rapid and went for it hoping for the best. The wait wasnt fairly worth it, yet that does not suggest that Coriander isnt the alternative for somebody and also there were some highlights.I got the beef pho and the pork spring rolls, 2 of my preferred things and also my type of litmus test of whether a location is worth giving extra patronage as well as attempting a lot more. If you determine to head to Coriander, I do suggest the pork springtime rolls. They were the one component of my dish that I found packed some flavor and were somewhat special. The pork within was crunchy and also savory as well as was different than the ordinary spring roll that Im utilized to. The pho, however, was lacking in a great deal of methods. The beef broth used was really bland in taste and also really did not really taste like a beef broth at all. The satisfy was ok however somewhat underwhelming in sections. Generally, I assume the pho was actually a disappointment.The area is fine but challenging to discover parking at long times. Service was all right, nothing magnificent however just suitable. On the whole, Coriander was as well costly wherefore I felt I left it and just general not a remarkable experience.

The jackfruit smoothie was kinda icy and stringy (bc it is jackfruit after all) and I was not a fan but try it, maybe youll like it better. We also ordered the bun thit nuong (grilled pork with vermicelli and egg roll) and that was really good, even came with some shrimp! They also gave us a ton of nuoc mam (fish sauce) to pour over the noodles which never happens at other Vietnamese restaurants; were usually left wanting more! Theresa is our waitress. Theresa is very friendly. I love her sense of humor. When I pick Chicken Pho, she recommend grill chicken because it has wonderful savory. I took her advice. I asked her what you recommend. She recommended Grill pork chop. Chicken pho and Grill pork chop is amazing. My girlfriend is very picky about Chicken Pho. My girlfriend mentioned soup is amazing. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and the Chicken Pho. Its much pricier than the pho places you would find in South Sac but I guess it makes sense for where theyre located (higher rent, etc). The broth for the chicken pho taste super salty and does not have the traditional herbal taste pho ga (or chicken pho) supposed to taste. It taste as if the broth is from a can instead of actually boiling the chicken to make the broth. The noodle consistency and chicken was good but the broth is what makes pho great and thats where they failed. Also, they didnt give much garnishes but I guess you could always ask for more. As for the bun bo hue, they didnt provide cha (pork), beef, and it was definitely missing the spiciness and lemongrass flavor that bun bo hue is predominantly known for! They only give you thin pork slices. OMG and honestly it taste as if they use salt instead of fish sauce which is in almost every authentic vietnamese dish! If you want authentic pho and/or bun bo hue, avoid this place because you will be disappointed. If youre looking for pho catered to the American palette (salt) then give it go.
