Long standing deli restaurant. Servers take care of you. Menu offers lots of options. Matzo Ball Soup 🍲, Buffalo Chicken Wings 🍗, Breakfast Enchiladas were all very tasty. Parking lot can get busy but plenty of street parking.

So yummy!!! I hadn’t been in a while but, my friends, this place is still AMAZING. Everything on the menu is excellent. AND they have the best rye bread and NY style cookies in town. So basically food is amazing, and so are staff and service. 100% recommend!

The food has gone down hill here for the last 7 or more months, the food is either burnt and overcooked or it isn’t cooked at all. My family has been coming here for many years, we are all looking for different restaurants to eat at now 🙄

This place just feels like home and I’m not even from the area. The prices are a little steep but yet again, where aren’t they? The food is so good and the desserts look even better. Highly recommended if you want a good breakfast too.

This might be the last of a dieing breed in the valley a true homestyle deli type coffee shop. What a wonderful pace, great food, great everything. I lived here all my life, why have I never been her, I dont know but if you havent been you need to try this place, discover it as I have . Its a treasure. Want tat comfort and feel of the old comfortable family style place to eat . My group went to Country Deli last Friday night and had a great time. The food was great, and the service was great. Katie was such a good waitress and was so friendly and she handled 14 people with a smile on her face and very professional and every one said the service was great because of her. We are looking forward to going back and having Katie wait on us again.

Great place to get great food! Staff was very attentive and always topped off coffees never leaving us with less then half a cup for too long. Ate here with 2 little ones under 5 and they enjoyed the pancakes and juice. We went here to celebrate my mothers 53rd bday and the staff made sure to bring her a sparkling treat and sing. It was a great way to start a happy day for our family.

Love, love, love this place.Food is wonderful (the extra time for the chicken pot pie is absolutely worth it). Always served with a smile.Traditional and not-so combine to keep things interesting, but always great comfort food.Little bakery in front so you can grab a treat to go.I have to travel across the valley to get there, and I do so without regrets.

I shared breakfast with my partner a few weeks ago. It was lovely. Great waiters & great food. I stopped by for a to go coffee last Thursday morning around 9am. There was an extremely rude woman @ the cashiers desk, who was training a new young gal. She seemed to be enjoying ignoring me. The training period was more important than taking my $ for a close to $5.00 Styrofoam cup of coffee. This portly woman in her 40s (who may have been a manager) could have used my sale as a learning opportunity for the new hire. On my first visit I spent $58.00. I will not be back.

Old school coffee shop with a western theme and Jewish deli menu. The menu has a wide variety of foods from pancakes to cabbage rolls. I had the bagel 🥯 and lox 🐟 breakfast. A toasted bagel smothered with a good portion of cream cheese and sprinkled with capers. Beside that were sliced tomatoes 🍅, red onion 🌰, sliced cucumbers 🥒, and a few olives 🫒. It was absolutely delicious. They serve various smoked fish, breads and have a large disappointment of desserts and pastries.

So ordered take out from Country Deli and it was DISGUSTING!!!! I know its my own fault but I did.... mainly because the manager called me after my last poor review and asked us to give them another try...... So I ordered a Turkey sandwich and my lettuce came BLACK and GROSS, asked for them to make it a sky-high for $1 more with Russian dressing and coleslaw and NOPE wasnt done !!!!! so I ate a DRY pile of turkey on bread... YUM !!!!..... Husband ordered Turkey Dinner and got no cranberry sauce or gravy, also ordered and was charged for a mixed green salad....nope not in the bag......$7.00 gone. No ranch for my daughters undercooked chicken tenders even though I asked for it....... Our fries were raw, NO condiments in the bag( ketchup, mayo or mustard) Called and spoke to the girl who claimed she was the MGR and she could not have cared less that we were upset about it. Asked her to credit my card for the missed items we were charged for and didnt get and apparently their system wont allow her to do that. $80.00 down the drain.....for food that was really uneditable.How this restaurant continues to function is beyond me ...... WE are DONE with Country DELI...We should ordered from BRENTs.

Have eaten here (take out) several times since I found this place. Both breakfast and lunch foods. The oatmeal is soooo good! The fresh fruit is really fresh. The corned beef sandwich was HUGE and delicious. And I love that I can just call them to order and drive over and pick it up. And they have a bakery case there too! Yummy mini chocolate eclair!

Came here after a hike and tried out the New York Black Pastrami Sandwich as well as the Lox Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel. Both choices were tasty & delicious but a bit on pricey end. This is one of my best friends’ favorite deli in the area. He loves the matzo ball soup from here and swears by it. Check it out if you’re nearby!

Similar to Brents deli, family owned and operated. Ive only come here for breakfast and you may have to wait a bit but thats typical. Service is good and the food really hits the spot. One of my favorite breakfast plates is their steak and eggs. The marinade they use for the steak makes it taste really good.

The food is excellent. I have been here twice so far and havent had a bad meal yet. The place looks great, I love the counter set up and when you walk in you are greeted by all the dessert, which is a plus. All the staff are very friendly, the service is top notch. I love this place.

I visit here almost once a week and love it. The food, service and atmosphere is fabulous. Thinking very highly of celebrating moms 100th there. My very favorite place to go in the Valley. All the people who work there are fantastic. I was there last Saturday with my son and two of the servers surprised me and sang happy birthday to me with my favorite Muffin with a candle on top. Cant say enough great things about Country Deli in Chatsworth. 🥰

Ive been coming here for close to 20 years and I always get the same things to eat. They have the best pastrami ski-high sandwiches! Theyre huge! Besides that I get their always great French toast, they have different kinds, but I like the original the best!I don’t want to leave out the staff, they are always so busy, but they always greet you, answer our annoying questions, and check on us!The reason I gave the atmosphere 3 stars is bc its located in a tiny shopping center. Theres nothing really bad per se, but its not entirely pleasing to the eye either.

Ordered food for pickup. I walked in. The person there totally ignored me. When she finally saw fit to aknowledge my presence she just dryly asked what did I want. I said Im here for pick up. She just handed me the bag and left. Maybe she thought I was the Uber driver but even then that is no way to address a potential customer, or anyone for that matter. We have ordered for delivery many times. This is the first time I pick it up myself...and the last.

We come here every weekend for breakfast out on their patio (pet friendly). Personally, I would argue their breakfast menu is superior to their lunch and dinner items...though deli staples like their sandwiches and chicken soup are quite good. They have bakery items in a case in the front, some, like the brownies are house-made while the rest comes from Beas. Prices are moderate and competitive with what you would find at other delicatessens. The staff are friendly, wonderful and helpful.

I have ordered from this place for years and the food was always good. Well, except for the Meatloaf. Someone had posted that unless you are white you shouldnt eat here. I hate stuff like that. People always playing Victim. Today I ate there in person for the first time. There were several waitresses standing around talking. They saw me walk in and ignored me. A busboy sat me down and took my order. The whole time I was there I saw the waitresses walking around and filling coffee cups asking if they needed anything. No one ever came to my table. Not even once. I had to put on my mask, walk up to the coffee machine and ask for a refill. A busboy filled my coffee cup. I was seated in a booth with people on both sides of me. So no excuses there on being away from everyone. I grew up in Sherman Oaks and have never experienced anything like this. I will never order from or eat here ever again.

The menu is way too big to decide what to order before the server comes back. Of the handful of times Ive been here, I found that I enjoyed the food only half of the time. The Cheesesteak has been my favorite so far and the marinated skirt steak was cooked perfectly. I still need to find more good food items to like the place more, and have a more well-informed review. It might take some time.

A complete reversal of a great local spot. Prices went up, quality disappeared. We had been giving them a final shot tonight with a real simple order... cinnamon bagel chips to dip in chicken noodle soup?? And the soup had detergent in it or something awful. The good cooks left, all the normal great dishes are just laughable. Will never come here again, so sad after 7 yrs of steady business.

Been enjoying going to this place off & on for years! Was my belated Daddys favorite, He used to take us on the way to oak wood cemetery to visit his parents grave, now my daughter & Sister & families are going to visit them & him now too! The deli is a wonderful reminder of family time together & the food is as good as always, and love those plentiful kosher dills!! Great ( huge) sandwiches, great for sharing! Love this place!

My family and I come here every year in a commemorative meal for my dear departed sister. I couldnt think of a better ambience for good feelings.Heads up: it does get crowded after 9 a.m. on weekends and the restrooms are small for accommodating but two patrons at a time on mens and the same in the womens, or so Ive been told. Still that does not keep people away.A great place for large crowds or clandestine meetings.

We have driven by so many times and commented we should try it. We had the opportunity to go for breakfast today. First impression was great. A wide variety of food. I ordered the scrambled eggs and home made sausage patty with home style potatoes. Portions were large, food was fresh. These werent frozen potatoes from a bag! My husband had the breakfast skillet and it was full of meat and veggies.The place itself is a little dated but extremely clean. There was an employee with a bucket of water and he was cleaning the entire chair including wiping down the legs. Not just a quick wipe with a rag, a nice cleaning of the entire chair. The restroom was very clean as well. We will go back!

Overpriced and food is not good. I got chilaquiles, not only was there about a handful size of eggs for a whole plate of basically rice. I had to salt those eggs to the max there was literally no flavor. The coffee was 3.35 for what tasted old and burnt??? The water had more flavor than those eggs which is awful, never had water as bad as this. Tastes like its straight out of the tap. The waiter was nice, I like the staff.

The restaurant has a huge menu, so youll likely find something that you like. I had the skirt steak with eggs. They made it exactly as I ordered it and it was ready when promised. I had it with the home fries, which were great, and the chocolate chip muffin. The muffin is too big for one person, so my wife and I split it for dessert.

Well the food was pretty good but our waiter was out to lunch. He kept bringing dishes whenever they were ready instead of serving everyone at the same time or serving the ladies first and never came back to ask if everything was okay. He basically dropped the food and then the check at the end. Not good service. I had to flag him down just to get more hot water. The place is crowded and the tables are so close that the people next to us actually started a conversation with us which I thought was a little weird but friendly I guess. Oh and what restaurant actually has jello on the menu? The old lady at the next table had that for dessert. I thought you had to be in the hospital to get jello right? And another weird lady ate a whole bowl of whipped cream. Nothing else! Strange crowd and lots of Old Folks Like I said the food was passable, nothing to write home about. $14.50 for burger and fries with bad service, eh. Take it or leave it? Id leave it. The prices seem high for the type of restaurant it was, it was a deli with a bakery but with prices comprable to The Cheesecake Factory. Given the type of place it was I would say everything on the menu should be $3 to $5 less but if youve got the loot and youre hungry go for it.

I really like the Country Deli. It has a very mom and pop feel and is the perfect place for this corner of the valley. I have never had a pastrami sandwich better than the one at The Country Deli. They definitely do not skimp on the pastrami and the rye bread is always fresh and delicious. I always add swiss cheese to my pastrami sandwich and it really is the icing on the cake. They have plenty of choices for sides but I always get french fries, just because that seems like a typical pastrami side dish. The fries are thick and perfectly cooked. The Country Deli also has an amazing display of desserts at the front. It is hard to pass any of them up. It is an unreal selection of what seems like hundreds of different baked goods. I usually order food to-go and the staff is always friendly with me. And, when I stop in, the times I have eaten there the service has always been great. The Country Deli has been here for years and is a great staple of the northwest valley. Every time I have taken someone here, weve all always had a great time and the food has always been amazing, which is why I keep coming back. I have been to a number of delis around LA and The Country Deli tops them all, including the legendary Canters Deli in LA. If youre looking for a great deli, in my opinion, The Country Deli is the best.

Im sort of in the middle about this place. The food is good, but the prices are ridiculous. $16 for two pieces of bread and something along the lines of 6 oz of meat. Nothing fancy at all! I stressed that immensely. Literally, you could have gone to the market, bought some sliced deli meat, and gotten two slices of rye bread, and did the same thing yourself for about 6 to $8.The service is great though. Looks like the waiters have been there for years and years. They are very friendly, and will be very attentive to your needs.Thought I would give this place a try, but just cant see the food justifying find the price. Sorry.

Usually we experience cheerful, happy, prompt service...but last weekend our server Lisa was ditsy and rude, leaving abruptly during taking our order... without apology or explanation. As she delivered our order, she placed my side dish directly in front of me with entree further to my side.Plates and portions are large so moving them isnt the easiest for someone with pain, limited mobility and range of motion, but not all servers understand the entree should be placed center, with sides... to the side. The entree is the star, the main event, the actual meal. We both had the impression she just didnt care about us as customers that morning. Her disappearance at the beginning of her taking our order made that clear.It wasnt her fault the biscuits were dry, hard, tough and chewy, in different places, tasted stale and the fried potatoes were burnt to black crisp in some parts, tasting off, oil was rancid or just too old. Fried fish taste doesnt go well with biscuits and gravy. The gravy wasnt southern style as I expected, hubby tasted and accurately descibed it as dried chipped beef on toast sort of taste. Nasty! Husbands pancakes were ok, nothing terrible nor rave worthy.The place was busy but we didnt get down home flavor or good service as expected here.This marks my last visit to this place, both for off, old tasting food, and yes Ive experienced that here before... the deli, bathrooms and outer areas look clean. But the first time we ate here tiny bugs were on the table... the waitress cleared them away immediately and agreed they were odd, never seen any like them, before or since. Still we gave it more a few tries... but truly... the sketchy, snarky waitress clinched any thought of return visits. Nobody needs to pay such high prices for stale food and a waitress who doesnt care enough to offer anything but rude, inattentive, scattered service...and overly dramatic shock when we didnt rave about our food when she asked how it was. Maybe shes an actress but the high drama raised eyebrow, wide eyed, open mouth shock was just silly. But she warranted this review. Maybe shed just had too much coffee but somehow I doubt that... All that and tight parking, too. Not any bargain.

I got the bbq brisket sandwich with skinny fries and a chicken noodle soup. The sandwich itself was full of flavor, but it was also more full of meat than the bun could handle. I’d recommend a larger bun(it’s like 2c worth of dough guys, worth it for a structurally sound sandwich) as well as slicing it in half before serving. I can regularly take down 1800 calories in a meal, and even I couldn’t finish!! The fries were completely unsalted and too old for salt to stick or for much crunch to remain even though I picked it up 5m before the specified time. The soup was perfectly fine but pretty bland compared to even a canned soup, let alone what I make from bullion and veggies. I’d recommend they try better than bullion or a similar liquid stock base instead of the Knorr powder I’d guess they’re using. Overall solid, if messy food with massive portions for the price, but I’d take a pass on the soup or fries.

First off, this is not a Jewish type deli. Corn beef, matzah ball soup, chopped liver, etc are all mediocre at best. Pancakes and eggs are good.

Always a great choice, especially for breakfast. It does get busy here, the menu is fairly large with many options and its great for groups👍😎👍

Mandate is not a law it’s fine though I don’t need to spend $20 for a skirt steak that has shrunk to half the size it was 2 years ago won’t be back
