Absolutely delicious food, tasted like it was made with love. Their restaurant and staff is welcoming the place is very clean. Ingredients were fresh and very tasty. Definitely will be making this a regular breakfast spot.

I bought a cinnamon roll with icing and it was so delicious! Everyone should go there at least once. There are a lot of items to choose from. Some that are hot. Not just sweets. Have to see for yourself!
This is the best bakery in Chico. Worth the drive to south end of town. If you want cinnamon rolls there isnt a place north of the Mason Dixon thats better. The employees are so nice and kind they always make you feel welcome. Puts upper crust to shame make the journey trust me!
Some of the best breakfast Ive ever had! Their breakfast sandwich is amazing and their bread is fantastic. I miss working off of Hegan and coming here on my lunch break. Definitely worth the drive over though, especially for their baked goods! The cinnamon rolls are the best around!

This is honestly one of my very favorite spots, everything is delicious..staff is always smiling happy to see you..totally recommend them for a family friendly outing..you can dine in or order and take out. Whether its savory or sweet if you get it from them it will be on hit..I once purchased a raspberry pull apart bread to take home and share with my wife it didnt make it 5 miles and it was gone..next time Ill have to get 2..

The food I ordered was delicious. I had a hot pastrami, pasta salad and drink. The bread was a homemade jalapeno bread and the pastrami was fresh cut. The service was a bit slow at the register, but worth the wait
The people are amazing. Very warm and inviting and they even gave me a free taste of a pie. Unfortunately, my to go order was unsatisfactory. As far as I can tell, there were two missing ingredients in the breakfast bowl I ordered and the serving size of these bowls seem really small. Granted, the prices are great so it’s not a huge hit but it’s noticeable.
What is not to love. Friendly folks, relaxed location, delicious food. I would highly recommend their pecan/walnut/Cinnamon rolls and other fresh made sweet treats. Ive ordered pies from them and find the apricot to be top notch. In the frozen section they offer various frozen meals of various sizes(lasagna,pasta, etc.) their chicken pot pie is simply amazing. Only downside is the hours, last time I checked they were closed Saturday and Sunday. Definitely worth a visit.
This is by far the best place in the area for a great breakfast or lunch. These folks are very nice. BUT, THE FOOD!!! Everything is made from scratch and fresh every day! They have an open kitchen and you can watch the ladys rolling out the dough by hand and smell the bread cooking. Its like eating at my childhood home when my mom made everything from scratch! The prices arent bad either. Had a brisket sandwich today for around $8.00.

This is one of Chicos hidden gems! Their bread and pastries are fresh and soft. The sandwiches are delicious. Ive had the California Club and several of the specials. They all have been scrumptious. They have new specials all the time and theyre worth it. The pasta salad, ham and cheese roll, raspberry pastry are all wonderful. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and can tell its made by experienced bakers. The atmosphere is really cute and quaint. The location is great and allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy some time in the country. This has become one of my favorites Im Chico!

WOW! This bakery is a must stop if you pass by Chico. I had the pecan roll and it was good but I’ve had better elsewhere. I highly recommend the maple twist its by far the best I’ve ever had in my life. Super friendly staff and cant wait to come back.
One of the best little secrets in the area is this favorite morning eatery! The establishment is clean, will lit, and the service is superb! They offer breakfast and lunch, and freshly prepared homemade frozen family comfort food dinners. Their coffee and sticky buns are heavenly! Be prepared for a walk, theres not much parking. Just know its a worth while jaunt.

One of my favorite places for comfort food and pastries. Its owned and operated by Mennonites, and simplicity is key in the creation of their goods. They serve hot and cold sandwiches for lunch, but also make pastries and pies to go. They make their own bread, which make the sandwiches especially good and soft. I usually enjoyed getting a melted ham and cheese -- always comes out hot! They also have great hot chocolate and I really like their maple cinnamon twists.Their hours are pretty strict as theyre only open for breakfast and lunch (mostly for the surrounding office buildings) and theyre closed on the weekend and Mondays.
Love the fresh foods we always get here! All the employees are very friendly too! The baked breads, rolls, and desserts are simple delicious!! Also enjoy being able to pick up lasagna, enchiladas, chicken pot pies and fruit pies from the refrigerator they have on the floor. My only recommendation would be to slice the bread a bit thinner. Just too thick for my tastes. The grill cheese is more bread than anything else.
Awesome!!!The food is amazing, no matter what you get. From baked goods to deli sandwiches (on home made bread), soups, etc.... Most everything is literally made from scratch. They also have frozen items such as chicken pot pie, enchiladas, fruit pies and much more.The people that work there as well as the owners, are very friendly, polite and courteous. The place is always very clean and pleasant atmosphere.
We came for takeout pie, which was great. We have not eaten anything else or dined there. Seemed like a lot of people were willing to drive out to the location to eat there.

Everything Delicious is what it should be called. My family and I order pies for the holidays every year. They take a personal touch to customer service, and make you feel more like family. I give this establishment 6 stars if it were possible. The price is also reasonable.
Got the mocha coffee with oat milk. Coffee tasted basic like McDonald’s and did not stand out. Breakfast bowl was small portions and has no salt or love in it. Nice guy at checkout!
We go here every chance we get, which isnt often enough since we live in Michigan! But whenever we come to California to visit this is one of our main stops! The food is delicious! My favorite is the taco salad. Their California club is great also! Finish out your meal with a cinnamon twists! That just hits the spot!
I had my first sandwich at the cafe today. It was the California Club on a white butter roll, and it was very good. I also love the cinnamon pull apart. The cafe is a little bit off the beaten track; but I certainly enjoyed it, and look forward to returning.
Great baked goods! I love coming here for breakfast pecan rolls or even to grab some fresh made dinner rolls for dinner with the family! Their cookies are all fantastic and I really enjoy stopping by for a snack or breakfast before work. The sandwiches are all served on fresh made bread and that little bit of extra love helps so much. They also have ice cream during the summer!

We just love this place. Its family run and owned and they put thier heart into the food they make. They make everything from scratch right there in front of you and it is delicious! Definately not diet food, they specialize in fresh baked breads and goodies like pastries and pies, sandwiches and soups, and also have ready made take and bake dinner meals. Weve lived in Chico for 2.5 years and recently discovered this amazing cafe during the pandemic! Their breads, pastries, breakfast panini sandwiches, and chai tea are top notch! We keep coming back each week to try new things that blow our mind! Enjoy!

Food is usually pretty good but they have a very small menu. The biggest problem they have is it’s a very depressing place. No one greets you with a smile, everyone that works there looks so sad like they are forced to work there. I recommend getting your food to go, it is really hard to watch how sad and depressed the girls are.
Their food is simply amazing for what seems like such an out of place location. If you havent been here you should make a trip out and enjoy a great breakfast or lunch at a good price. They even make their own ice cream and smoke the pulled pork themselves.

This is a great little cafe with great food and awesome customer service, they remembered my name within one week of me going there everyday for lunch. The only thing that makes it hard to go every day is they are a little expensive but in the long run they are well worth it.

2023-05-05 15:06:21I just found this hidden gym a week ago when a client introduced me to this place! The vibe inside is welcoming and homey. I have never had a latte that tasted so good in my life until I came here! I am obsessed with the this bakery! The food here is amazing and so fresh and all the bakery goods taste homemade like a granny made them all! I have not been to a bakery this good since I was a little girl. The owner is amazing too and super kind while we were dining there a kiddo that was with me had a huge spill and the owner was so sweet about everything and cleaned it right up. You have to try this place once and you will be hooked for life!

2023-03-25 06:20:57Certainly a step above any donut shop. Busy busy up to the last minute, parking full nearby, impressive indeed. Ordered 4 small cinnamon rolls, after trusting the many praises as to how fantastic they were. These smaller version had a center of lemon glaze? Small amount to even tell, but sure, why not. Next I attempted to go for half a dozen cookie, but nearing closing time they only had 5 available, so they suggested some mini pastry (2) to qualified for the half dozen price of $10.99? I rapidly accepted. 3 of the sizable cookies were peanut butter? With m&m’s for color. Totally a let down. Grab some peanut butter, smother it with plenty of sugar, and you got a cookie whose main attribute is the sweetness. The other two, same size, one white and the other ginger like? The two many pastries nothing to rave about it, but obviously this place seems to be more than the blanks in what I selected. Plenty of female bakers, plus one older male doing this and that. Customer base healthy as a permanent small line never wavered. From customs wore I ventured to think Amish, Dutch? $21 total, but later these selected items prove to be below par. After all sugar shouldn’t be the main attribute on any cookie, and the cinnamon roll ($2.75 each) had zero appeal, the ones I use to buy at malls, nice and warm, better bargain. For what we tried 2.5 Stars, for the possible better items with benefit of the doubt, 3.5 Stars.
