Country Skillets in Manteca

First time eating here and it was a g good experience. The food and the service are very good, many regulars and families dining. The only thing I saw was that the place needs a little update, some of the booths are in not so great shape, but it all means that they have been used extensively, other than that its a good place to have breakfast and lunch. Will be back

Firstly the staff was really nice the only reason I gave a 3 star rating. The staff gets 5 stars, food 2 stars- it was just ok and for the price point definitely a 2- the prices are too high for mediocre-just ok food, the waffle fries were good though, Atmosphere wise this place is definitely lacking it’s really small and the seating sucks and really close quarters to other people- the ketchup, syrup and salt-pepper shakers were very dirty and needed to be cleaned-changed out a long time ago. THE GRAVY WAS WAY TOO SWEET and needs to be changed out with a different recipe. I was having some high hopes by other reviewers pictures and the staff was really nice but I can’t say I will be giving this place a second chance. A lot of people love it, but this place needs an overhaul. I appreciate the kind service.

Nice small diner nearby. Went for lunch and got the biscuits & gravy breakfast for lunch. Eggs and bacon very good. Biscuits were very large fluffy but more like a dinner roll. Too bread like for me. I prefer mines a bit more flaky. Unfortunately Im going to have to stick to Carls Jr for biscuits n gravy breakfast. Havent tried the other stuff but wife said her order was good. Service staff is friendly and welcoming. This spot is worth a try.

Tried out this breakfast spot about 3 weeks ago and it was great. The gravy on the biscuits needed just a little salt and pepper but the biscuits were awesome! Hasbrowns made to perfection. Staff was so friendly!

The food was decent at this place however the portions are quite large. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak combo and I substituted the potatoes (Hash brown/Country) for Grits. The chicken fried steak comes topped with gravy alongside 2 eggs any style. The wife ordered the Farmers Skillet which is a huge portion. A full plate of food. She was only able to finish half of it. We ordered the Mickey Mouse Combo for our son which comes with pancakes in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Also on that plate is eggs any style, a slice of bacon and sausage. Quite a bit of food for a jr plate.The restaurant also is not the cleanest place. It looked a bit run down on the interior but the staff were very pleasant and kind.

Breakfast. Country potatoes were on the raw side. If you love your potatoes well done, avoid the country potatoes.

Breakfast was great. So many selections that it was difficult to choose. Denver omelet, hash brown potatoes and biscuits and gravy for hubby. 2 eggs over easy, hash browns, 4 slices bacon and toast for me. Waitress was friendly and efficient.

Early morning breakfast is always a mich. Ive had serial different things from here. From the banana Carmel waffles and the side of egg how you want, country potatoes and turkey options for those who dont eat pig like myself. To French toast thats always my go to with different toppings . Staff always with smiles and family feel .

The server Rhonda/Ronnie was the best server Ive had here ever. She was kind, was quick and on top of the drinks and her service was friendly.Ive been here a few other times and had to constantly wait for my drinks to be filled or had to ask more then once for things, normally the servers seem to have a Youre bothering me attitude. Rhonda is an impeccable new addition to the team.The food was cooked pretty good, I asked for over medium eggs, I got over hard- that was unfortunate.The atmosphere was good, weekdays when everyone else is at work is the time to go if you dont want to wait for seating, Im thankful to be self employed- weekends are always super busy.
