Ive been shopping at Country Sun for years! I just love poking around the aisles, always finding something new and unique! They offer a wide variety of gluten-free, vegetarian, & vegan options along with high quality body care and supplements. Its such a bright and cheery store with amazing staff providing the best customer service. This is the type of store where staff members will remember your name. Support your independent and local stores! 🙌🏼

Literally the best wholesome place! I love them so much ! I needed bread desperately but came before they opened. They went out of their way to hand me a few loaves. It was so compassionate and helpful. Thank you Country Sun for being an amazing charming neighborhood grocery store

I am a decades-long, up until now, happy customer. Do not take their generous (a joke) Wednesday and Sunday Senior discount. They will use it to put you down that you had a discount and as a reason not to exchange or refund a flawed product along with the excuse they are going out of business in a year. They will also accuse a customer of causing the flaw in the item you tried to exchange! It is the ONLY exchange I ever tried to make in years of shopping there.The most recent manager, who has only been there a couple of years, should not be in customer service! I know the cashiers and have good relationships with them.Over a few measly dollars the manager insulted the customer with her accusations and she lost Country Sun my weekly business for the remainder of their year in business. Now i will be happy to see them go.

The staff at Country Sun tops anyone else for their knowledge of vitamins and supplements. In particular a shout out to Kevin. Their depth of knowledge of the pros and cons of different brands exceeds anything I have ever found.

Kevin, the vitamin buyer is stellar. He is down to earth and personable, a really nice guy and really knows his stuff. He has thorough, detailed and technical knowledge of supplements. Thats rare. I went in there cold, without doing any research ahead of time. He was a big help to me finding the right products for my needs. Yes, the store is small but they have devoted a third of it to supplements and have a good selection. They have great sales and if its not on the shelf they can order it for you. I recommend them highly.

In 1977 in, palo alto,CA. A small fruit stand on the el Camino. country sun was just nothing but a orchard produce organic stand in barron Park neighborhood. Run by a bunch of hippies. They saved up money 💰. Wen to low rent direct of Palo alto open real market. Been there for years and years. Great product, good price, good service.Local man made it good.

Stopped by after an appointment nearby. needed all natural soap or Shampoo soap bar(no chemicals!!) had more selection than I thought, more of what I was looking for compared to Whole Foods. even natural hair dyes. everything at reasonable prices. glad to support a local health foods store :) which offers a lot of natural & eco friendly alternatives. the cashier was nice too!

I love to stop by at Country Sun every Sunday to buy things I cannot find at the farmers market or Whole Foods. They have a great selection of everything from fresh foods, to groceries, to bulk items, to body/supplements, and hard to find items like raw milk, raw kefir, coconut yogurt and sprouted seeds and nuts. Everything is always fresh, and the customer service is the best - I always see and interact with the same kind employees who go above and beyond to provide a great customer experience.

Very friendly and good service neighborhood store. Has most complete spice collection I cant find in other store. Prices of the fresh product are even cheaper than the farmers market outside. Seniors get 10% discount on Wed and Sun.

This store is the most eco-friendly store I found in Palo Alto area. As an environmentalist, I have always been searching for zero-waste stores where you can bring your own jar to get spices, shampoo and etc. They also offer many containers and food storage to help you get rid of plastic and glass waste. I really appreciate their concept:)

Lots of unique finds here that I can’t get at other places. Reminds me of the health food stores I used to visit as a kid, with actual health food—not just the stuff with slick marketing.Love the CBD products too, and there is a great Keurig machine with organic coffees that taste pretty great! Always a treat to stop by.

Fresh fruit and vegetables and their sandwiches are good too. I get our raw goat milk here in quart size but they do carry pints. Staff very helpful and they will contact me with any questions I may have about products. Yup my go to store.

When my local health food store went out of business due to The Vitamin Shoppe opening a block away, I was devastated. The owner recommended a couple of locations for me to be able to find the items I take to stay healthy. Country Sun was one of them. What a gift!! I miss my local store immensely, yet out of this loss I found a store with a huge variety of items I cant find anyplace else. I love the selection! Everyone is extremely helpful and will place special orders for items they dont normally carry.

Ive been shopping at Country Sun since 1982. I do the bulk of my shopping here. I shop Whole Foods on the rare occasion that they have something CSun does not or when I cant make it before they close. If you live anywhere near this store and you give a damn about the food you eat and where it comes from, you want to shop here. The level of integrity of this establishment is incomparable. Unlike Whole Foods or New Leaf, they dont have the ready to eat buffet so dont expect that.

Was checking out and clerk was really unprofessional. Asked if I brought any bags I said no and she responded “um we’ll do you want one?” Her tone sounded rude. She was scanning the vegetables and she didn’t know what one bag contained so In a rude way asked me “what do you have in here? Brussels sprouts?” Why ask me if you clearly know What it is.. When she was putting my things in the bags she threw everything in like it was garbage. She took her sweet time.. took her about 5 min to process 10 things. Very bad costumer service

Wow. Just wow.I cant begin to tell you how helpful the cashier named Kevin was. First of all, I have 5 kids all under 10 so you can imagine the struggles I have when going out for groceries as a stay at home mom.Kevin is a vitamin expert but let me tell you something ... This guy really knows kids! Not only did he educate me on the proper vitamins for my kids to take, he explained some fun facts about resveretrol which Ive started taking this year ...Kevin was literally dancing and playing around with my kids in the vitamin aisle, he is a kindred spirit and has a way with the young ones.I wish I could hire Kevin as a babysitter! Thank you Kevin for caring for my children. They want to go back to see you, they havent forgotten the experience they had last week. Again, thank you.

Its a small supermarket on California Avenue in Palo Alto, and its cute with organic food ingredients and daily necessities. There are quiet residential areas around here and it is close to Stanford University, so the environment is very nice. There is also an organic market called Tradjo nearby.
