I got the La Luna vegetarian Arepas with tofu and it was SO yummy! Great sauces and combo, I ate it all up. They accidentally gave me a meat arepas first but I wasn’t too stressed about it and they nicely made me another one. A lot of people around (myself and friend included) on computers doing work. A lot of great options of things to eat and fun music. Would be happy to come back again!

A charming cafe located in a 1930s building and on what is now a pedestrian-only segment of Ramona street. It has quite a reputation for being a hub for startup meetings/pitches. I had the spicy maya mocha in oat milk which was fab. Wish they had some vegan food/snack items on the menu.

This place is a local favorite. Tasty and fresh Venezuelan food with a cuppa coffee made to order, a perfect place to hang out. One favorite is the Pabellon Arepa - love the combo of the sweet plantain, savory shredded beef and freshly griddled arepa.

Tried to have lunch here today, arrived just before 12 and there were many open tables. We submitted our order, a salad and a sandwich, via their online app and after waiting 20 minutes for our food, I went inside to check on it. As I did, I noticed that none of the tables had food, just coffees. The staff was friendly but generally un-interested and not surprised at the length of our wait. Someone went to check with the kitchen and was gone a good five minutes. When she returned, she had someone elses food and said yours will be out in 2 mins I didnt have any minutes to wait so asked for and received a refund without a fuss. Great location and the menu looked good. If you go, expect to wait a while for your food. :-(

Best hot chocolate in the Palo Alto area. Try their spicy Mayan hot chocolate. Hot chocolate done right! All coffee are good too. The inside and outside seating is very cute. They have very yummy chocolates, cakes and truffles as well. They have small bites that smell and taste yummy, try their panini. Nice decor too especially in the holiday season. One of the favorite places to get a cuppa coffee with colleagues and friends!!

This place has one amazing ambiance and vibe. The coffee and food is pretty good. Theyve a nice bakery as well. I would definitely recommend this for some quiet study/ work or a date. Theyve inside seating which is quiet.I want to give this place 5 stars but we had some issues with the service. We ordered boba, they gave us a smaller straw, we asked for another one which was also too small for boba. Had to just drink the iced tea without boba instead.

Quaint little restaurant similar to a Crepevine. Serves salads, soups, paninis, breakfast, crepes, desserts and drinks. Unlike Crepevine, their portion for their dishes are on the small side, but prices are reasonable. Seating is cafe-like and is open seating after ordering at the counter. Food was good but not anything to be overly excited about. There is a storefront next door that serves extra seating for the main restaurant, which can be leased out to host private parties. It was a comfortable space to eat and lounge around. Lastly, there is only 1 restroom that serves the entire restaurant that was crowded when we were there.

I had an absolutely amazing decaf chai latte that was sweetened to the perfect level, and very filling. I also had an amazing yogurt parfait that tasted very delicious, and was also very filling. Because it’s such a popular café, we actually met someone that we knew while sitting and chatting there. Also, the atmosphere is fantastic and very relaxing. Many people were working very hard in the coffee shop.

I always try to make a stop at Coupa Cafe when I am in the neighborhood. Great coffee options with snack bar. Cozy interior to sit, drink your shot and have some good time. Not to ignore, you have an option if you enjoy outdoor open sitting with a heater facility during cold.

This would be a 1 star if Id been there by myself, the only saving grace being that my wifes veggie panini was pretty decent. I had a burger and it was easily the worst proportioned burger Ive ever had. Picked it up and started eating, starting off on the wrong foot immediately as Id ordered it medium and it was clearly well done. whatever, its fine. Took another couple bites and realized all that was left was bun, tomato, and lettuce, pic related. Fries were fine.Also threw me off that there was a 25 cent charge for a cup of water. Ordering was done through an app and despite the table number being listed on the app, they still just came out and called my name. On top of all this, default tip options were 18-20-25%. For delivery of two cups of water and two plates of food. I know tipping culture is pretty toxic and I understand working in service for minimum wage, but cmon. Those numbers are what they expect for virtually zero interaction with clientele?Overall just really disappointed. But I will recommend the veggie panini.

Coupa Cafe is a lovely little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Palo Alto. Now that Voyageur du Temps is closed it is my go to place for coffee and a brunch meal.The cafe offers a solid selection of brunch and lunch items with a Venezuelan flare, and a diverse coffee/ beverage menu.The food is good, but often sits too long at the counter before your buzzer goes off. (Its the type of place where you order at the counter and seat yourself). Theyll also randomly put out the coffee drinks ahead of the food, but not prepare them right away. So you end up going back and forth from your table to the counter so that you have a chance of a warm drink.Otherwise there is plenty of seating at the cafe, both inside snd out. Good options for paleo, gluten free, health food conscious folks, in addition to more gluttonous fare. Good choice for brunch in PA.

Every week I love to go out and try different coffee shops and bakeries. The latte I ordered here was bad, very bad! I actually poured it out, there was no way I could drink it. I walked down the road to a different coffee shop and was served a much better latte. Not sure if it was just the person that made it, didnt know what they were doing or if they just have bad coffee here but theres definitely better places off of University. They were very friendly but Im just leaving my review off of the taste of that latte.

Update (Aug-23, 2020): the cheapest Arepa is now $12.95...Coupa is one of those timeless Palo Alto spots, one that survives the ups and downs of the economy. I have come there since 2007, and the food and attention remains as great as ever.As someone born in Venezuela I can attest to how authentically Venezuelan the food is. The only reason I dont give it five stars is the prices: $12 for an arepa is simply crazy, and its the reason I only come here once in a while.

Ordered a chai boba and it was undrinkable. It said it was sugar free but it was ridiculously sweet! It was like drinking pure sugar. We sat outside and there was a lead blower for 20 mins which was very loud but inside seemed to be nice. I really love Coupa Cafe in Redwood City. I was surprised by how horrible this drink was but usually I just get their food and coffee. Please be warned if youre trying their chais. Even though it says sugar free, it might still be undrinkably sweet. Tossed it out, waste of $7 :(.

Im Hispanic, thats the first thing Im going to say. And, the Hispanic server behind the counter seen me walking in and seen that there was a predominantly white family who walked in after me. The woman STILL chose to assist them first. Had the family not told her that I came in first, she would not have assisted me until AFTER assisting them. Ty to that family for being honest about it. I left a message for the store manager about my experience as feeling discriminated against and they never got back to me. This happened over a month ago now and Ive yet to receive a phone call.

This is not just your typical “coffee” place. There are a variety of desserts, beer, wine and food. The portions are nice and the prices are decent. Coupa Cafe is always buzzing and has a great energy. The only downside is that it is narrow and gets crowded, but the everyday happy hour and Cobb salad are totally worth it. I’ll be back again tomorrow!

I really enjoyed the Vegan Arepa. The first time I also had the Avocado Toast because I was feeling like stuffing myself and it was delicious My second time I had a side of fried plantains and that was less expensive and very delicious, but definitely less healthy than the avocado toast. 😅I had a decaf oat milk latte and it was really great.My only complaint is that although they offer contactless ordering, they neither list in that system what is Vegan, nor do they seem to have an option for requesting oat milk (nor decaf) when ordering through that site, but ordering inside is fine too. 🙂

Coupa Cafe offers a limited amount of outdoor seating and a variable menu. I ordered a design your own scramble which came with fruit and toast. I also ordered an Argentinian coffee. All was delicious. This is an order and pick up yourself restaurant...no table service. So order inside and listen for your name to be called. The food is always delicious and the specialty coffees are perfect! Love, love love this place.

Food was great, I had sesame seed bagel with cream cheese and tomato and my husband had one of the breakfast burritos and both were very yummy and satisfying. Nice atmosphere where you can take your computer and do a little work. There were many folks meeting up with a friend who I assume they hadn’t seen in a while because they gave each other a big warm hug and were super excited to see each other, either way though it filled the place with a feeling of love and happiness. Reminded me of the movie Love Actually :)

This is a friendly little cafe that serves coffee, a broad selection of baked goods, and a fairly comprehensive lunch/dinner menu. They have two adjacent buildings in downtown Palo Alto -- the second is simply a place to sit and chat. Outdoor seating as well, and 3 hr parking across the street in a public underground parking facility. They have home made lemonade, Italian sodas and other cold drinks if you wont want a hot drink. Both the clientele and staff are super chill.

Had a delicious arugula and avocado salad here. I also recommend the Vietnamese coffee. I do suggest the dijon vinaigrette over the lemon with the salad though, but that was just my personal preference. This is THE downtown Palo Alto coffee shop where deals are made. It usually has places to sit down and people seem to come and go more than other coffee shops where people park themselves at laptops all day so there is no place to sit.Besides coffee, it has a variety of desserts and one of my favorite cobb salads in Palo Alto. There is a happy hour every day, one of only a couple of places in town with a happy hour on the weekends.The only reason I dont give it five is because it is unpleasant ordering because there is a narrow corridor where people both wait in line and go back and forth within the cafe. Great coffee. Not quite as good as Cafe Venetia, but Cafe Venetia wont take cash, and Coupa Cafe will. Nice selection of pastries. I need to try the breakfast and lunch goodies.

Talk about variety - you can get almost anything here. Usually my default when I cant make up my mind about where to go on University. A great place to meet up with friends or colleagues or potential partners. Try the tiger spiced chai!

I love that there are two rooms. The one away from the main serving area is really quiet and is a great place to work. The outside areas are nice too. As are the arepas!
