Revised: 11/7/2023: this review was for the old location. I havent been to new location yet.My sister suggested this place for our lunch before we go to Rose Hills. We ordered from the menu. They also have a lunch menu too.The menu consists of Chinese, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese food. They also have soups and salads too. Everything we ordered 6 dishes and everything is great. The portion of the food are huge and served on big fancy plates.I am coming back w/honey to eat lunch again. I also plan to meet some of my friends here for lunch too. I am coming back to try other dishes.Staff was super nice, polite and very friendly.I would highly recommend this place.

This place is great. It’s small, but the food is delicious, and the service was great. They’re very friendly and accommodating. We love Asian food nd this is the best restaurant we’ve been to in a while. We ordered about 7 different dishes for 4 people because we couldn’t make up our minds and everything tasted great! This will definitely be one of our go-to places.

Delicious authentic Asian food. We have some picky eaters and everyone found something they liked. I recommend going with a big group. It is family style so you can sample more of the tasty food.

The food was amazing. Unfortunately, I cant say the same about their service. The restaurant was understaffed. We ordered four entrées and got three in duration of 30 mins. The lady packed the fourth plate to go. The drinks werent refilled. Overall, the food is amazing. Lots of flavor and good portions for the price.

What a delight! Food is tasty and prepared well, everything was hot when delivered to our table. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Honestly I always passed this place, not knowing how good it was until I actually went inside. Food was amazing, and friendly staff members . There milk teas are unique, I would recommend their couwami fried rice and chow fun, as it was delicious and they give you big portions for a great price!

Its our 1st time at Couwami, an amigo said Couwami was outstanding (no lies there), 3 of us ordered 5 dishes (way too much food of course), we ate until we couldnt eat any more, leaving lots of take home, we highly suggest you try this well established cornucopia of Asian cuisines.

This is my to go for Chinese food. The food is delicious and they serve good portions. I ordered the Yang Cho fried rice, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, braised jumbo shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly. The Braised jumbo shrimp is a must try!

Just a heads up, it appears they have increased the price by at least $2 on each food item since March 2023. The waitress wont let you know until you figure it out when they give you your receipt when it is time to pay. I really have been enjoying coming to Couwami but definitely did not like that they waited at the last minute to admit they raised the prices had I not pointed it out. Might come back every once in a while now.

This place is just bad. I mean really bad. My sweet and sour chicken was so bone dry, Im sure it was left for days. Unchewable I had to spit it out. The food was also terribly greasy and after a tiny bowl, I threw the lot out.Maybe I had an experience from them, this day but Im shocked how they find its ok to charge customers for food that is so bad.

Wow! And an amazing good kind of wow at that! Ordered lunch for two though their website and was incredibly easy. Arrived a little late but my hands where busy talking care of my niece and nephew. I only had $100 bill and he helped by giving change with what little bills he had on him so thank you to the delivery driver for this very vegan friendly restaurant! Now the packaging...probably the best. An nice piece of cardboard at the bottom of the bag goes a long way in keeping the items sagging on each other and maintain the quality of the food. The drinks came inside of there own bag so they where nice and cold. Over all I dont eat here often but when i do it is the best delivery experience I get in the area not to mention the best vegan Asian chickun dishes in Azusa!

The food here is awesome with great flavor.. I love ordering lunch from here and always try to order something different to taste. The lunch specials are priced just right.. with many options to choose from.. comes with steamed rice or brown rice and side salad with this amazing dressing that gets you ready for the main course. If you like spicy ask for hot sauce on side.. sriracha also works. Today ordered the pepper steak lunch, it surprised me.. has a great flavor to it added a bit of chili oil they give you and just made it awesome! Full stars!

For the price this was the most awful food ever. The curry doesnt come with rice, CURRY IS SUPPOSED TO COME WITH RICE. The curry itself tasted microwaved and it was really soupy rather than thick like normal curry. The carrots in it were hard. We also ordered Mango Green Tea and I kid you not it tasted like medicine I took as a kid. Way overpriced

Gotta get that honey walnut shrimp, you know thats the good stuff. The beef Chow fun is really good too. Their menu has a few items from a variety of different asian kitchens (Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese). Good for large parties if you call ahead. They have a bar. Had a few family functions here and it works out because all the dishes can be shared since they are served as large portions.

This is my go to place with my mom. They are surprisingly good. I have always been wary of restaurants next door to hotels or motels (haha) and I am vegan, but they have some really good dishes here. I usually order anything on the vegetarian menu, and I have chow fun or pad see ew.. I ask them not to add oyster or fish sauce, and they seem to get it and understand those items are NOT mixed into dishes for vegetarian or vegan people. In the past when Ive gone to Asian restaurants they didnt understand at ALL what vegan stock was, and kept shouting that the food doesnt have meat in it, without realizing that meat can be liquefied and put into sauces (Rolls eyes and SIGHS). My regular waitress understands this.

Couwami, they do almost all types of Asian. Unlike a buffet though where mostly everything is mediocre since they offer a lot of variety, they have quite a few gems on their menu. Love their orange chicken, pad Thai, Thai basil chicken, fried rice, and even pho. Lunch specials 7 days a week. Sometimes they get slammed so you gotta be prepared to be patient.

I had had takeout from here plenty of times. But Id only order their orange chicken (amazing), couwami fried rice without raisins(addictive) and their Vietnamese egg rolls(addicted). How the heck did this place get such good ratings?I came him here on a Saturday evening and load and behold we were the 1 of 2 patrons of the restaurant.The menu has a vast of different Asian food. From Pho to Thai food and I am always worried when Chinese people make Thai food...its never as authentic and as delicious!I decided to get the Pad Thai to begin with and when it came everything was WAY too sweet! I love, love, LOVE Couwamis vegetarian Orange Chicken! It is gluten-based. I generally ask the chef to cook it lightly so the texture is softer since Ive had it the general way they prepare it and found it to be too rubbery. The orange sauce is ama-Za-Zing! Very vinegar-esque, if you try to breathe it in, itd take your breath away! The sauce is slightly spicy, but more tart, yet somehow sweet all at the same time. It is VERY good and just in case you like Pandas Orange Chicken, Couwamis Orange sauce is along the same lines. I also almost always order Couwamis Braised String Beans, without any meat, which is FULL of flavor and has a very proteinous flavor to/about it- the first time I ordered it, I was shocked at its fantastic flavors for there not being any meat inside the dish whatsoever! If you like fresh green beans and bold flavor, I would definitely recommend at least giving the Braised String Beans a chance. The food is worth it! Just remember that!

Not a friendly place. If you are a uber/lyft driver (any driver) do not stop here if you are pissing your pants. THEY WILL NOT LET YOU USE THEIR RESTROOM. Yup thats right. You can stand in front of them with pee coming down your leg and they will reject you from using their facilities. By the way I am a Election day driver & their place was the closest restroom. Thank you to the near by medical office.
