Garlic edamame had too much soy sauce and not enough garlic. Portion sizes felt a bit small. Jewish roll wasn’t bad, didn’t come with any sauce though. The crispy walnut shrimp appetizer was absolutely not worth the money. It was more expensive than the sushi roll and the walnuts tasted raw, not caramelized or cooked at all. The honey walnut shrimp from Panda Express is better than this. Service was fine, nothing spectacular. I’m keeping my eye out for better places in the valley.

I was a regular at the Reseda location awhile back and frequented the place when it was directly next to Ralphs. A few years back it relocated to the east of Sprouts and I kinda of stopped going to it regularly. I would time to time come in and it would be ok. Somehow it lost whatever ambiance it had back in the day.I came in today, May 1st 2022 around and it pretty dead. All the empty booths had not been cleared, like 5 booths. There was only one waiter on the schedule and he was also in charge of bussing the tables. Man thats rough trade. We sat and he took awhile to get our orders. Our food took 20 minutes to be served. The good news the sushi was very good and fresh. Had the salmon sushi, tarzan roll, Philly roll all really good. I hope they can get their staffing issues fixes because the food is worth coming back to.

Havent been there in awhile. Today decided to order take out. Will probably not come again...horrible service.1. My food was not ready when I came, despite the fact that I came 5 min later my order time.2. When they prepared it they did not tell me, I was literally standing by the counter and my container was sitting there, Noone said it is yours you can get it. So rude!3. It was not packed properly. Take out means I need chapstick, right? I didnt get any.4. My container/box had holes. First time I was getting sushi take ot without a bag, without chopsticks and with holes in the box.5. Amount of food was impressive...too. I dont remember I was ordering from a kid menu.I do not recommend this place.

I ended up having a party of 19 including me that didnt come at once( server nightmare) and kept adding tables to our group. They handled it like champs. Cant remember male servers name but he rocked and delt with us no problem. Food rocked as always. Thank you chefs. My only complaint was that they had to close but that was not their fault. Next time i come from Florida Im def having another large party there. Thank you guys for helping making a great dinner amazing.

Two people there when we arrived at 4:30 pm on a Friday. Left at 4:42 pm when no one would address us or at least bring us water. Waiter came to the table next to us like 3-4 times. We didn’t eat there.

I was quite surprised by the flavors here, I HIGHLY suggest the Spicy Yaki Salmon Roll because something amazing is going on with it. The price is pretty good and certainly good for the area. The fish was good quality and I really have no complaints, check it out!

Came today Saturday for their lunch special as seen on their menu (see picture). Was told by server Sanhil the menu lunch special date and time indicated is a typo. He was not willing to honor the indicated special. Also said there was no manager nor supervisor I could talk to. Me and my party of 6 left.

My first time here! Excellent fresh sushi and great unsweetened green ife tea. The mixed tempura was the best I ever had.The ginger had an odd strong chemical taste but everything else was excellent. I had the spicy yellowtail and the scallop role.

If I can give zero stars I would. Went for lunch yesterday w my husband and 4 year old. Sat outside right away, but the service was a whole different story. Personally I love the food, but the service was just horrible. Usually theres a female server and male server. Yesterday we had the male server. When i walked in there, there was maybe about 4 customers total between inside and outside. From the start it took at least 15 minutes just to order our drinks first. Then took another 15 minutes to get our iced teas. Took another 15 minutes just to place our order which I wrote all the items on the paper. It took about 25-30 minutes to get most of our items and then the rest we never got because when I asked the server for the rest of our items he completely just forgot to put them in to be made. I also asked for a water for my 4 year old which never came. Mind you at this point there was no other customers but us. I had to ask for the check at which point he brought out and stood right next to me till i handed over payment and when I advised him on all the items I never got all he said was do you want them now? I have ordered many many times literally up to $200 worth of food each time and like I said while we actuall enjoy the quality of the food I would never go back to dine there again unless its the regular female server or whole different person other than the regular male server they have.

Crazy Tokyo is my favorite sushi restaurant! They have however deviated from their glory days due to management and not hiring enough people. Sunhil and Sheila are by far the best waiters, but they are stretched to the limit. Prices have gone up and portions are slightly smaller. I gave it four stars because the food is good and the two waiters deserve it.

Sure, its not top notch quality but honestly, you cant beat the price and the food is perfectly fine. The place is definitely understaffed during busy hours (at least at the Tarzana location they are) but the servers are great and recognize you after only a few visits. The decor is old and run down but its a local favorite because they get busy busy busy in the evenings. I am a loyal customer and have going for years because its like your local hole in the wall bar... for sushi.

Good quality sushi, fish is fresh. Their happy hour all day is great, big selection on their menu. Roll sizes are a bit smaller compared to other sushi places, but for the prices its okay. Service is good, staff is friendly and attentive. Place get busy at times, and parking can get difficult to find.

This is a good go-to for a no fuss no muss sushi experience. The 3 stars is only so you may manage expectations but not to dissuade you from popping in. Prices are decent and sushi fresh. We spent $40 plus tip for food, no alcohol for 2. Ate as much as we wanted. Pop music in the background matches the experience. Wait help was efficient and courteous.

So much for happy hour. Theyre very strict on happy hour, meaning if you over order and want to take it home, it could be full price. And, happy hour has gone up like, a lot. From 2.85 for veggie roll to $3.99. Portion is smaller too. I dont think its worth it anymore.

I dont usually write any reviews or complain about service but this was just so awful. Ive been here before but this was the first time it was this bad. It took forever to get any of our food...we arrived at 8:30 pm and didnt see a single piece of food until at least 9:30. It wasnt crowded; Id at least be more understanding if it was. My friends had to go up to the wait staff multiple times just to get them to bring us our check, take our orders, etc. We were trying to be nice about it but it was hard. The food isnt worth the centuries you have to wait!!!

I used to really love this place. Friendly atmosphere, good sushi, great prices. Perhaps not spectacular, but always satisfying and enjoyable. And they were always wonderfully attentive, especially with my kids.But this time we were completely ignored, watching item after item be prepared for and presented to people who arrived (and ordered) after us. And the sushi we finally received after much delay was mediocre at best, especially my salmon skin roll, which was served ice cold, including the salmon skin. Perhaps they just dont want business from the gaijin at the end of the sushi bar anymore. No worries there. After years of patronage, this poor service has cost them a long-time customer.

The prices are good but at this location the ambience. It feels outdated. The food is not bad and obviously prepared freshly in front of you as you sit at the sushi bar. The time I went it was not too crowded. Parking was a little hard to find and at night the street was very dark. There was a homeless person out front which made me feel uncomfortable.

I have been going here for almost a year now, a friend of mine that lives in the area is a regular here and told me about it. Ever since I had my first meal there I have been coming back, The heart attack is one of my favorites as well as the BSCR with shrimp. Great little place and great vibe and decor. The sushi was disgusting, took over 30 minutes for the salads to even get to the table after asking multiple times about it. The place was not even packed with people to make the wait make any sense. We thought that we would try it because of the reviews that we saw. We normally go to Roll Roll that is down a few more blocks on Ventura Blvd but it was closed on Sunday and thought it would be good alternative. I will never go back and will always direct people to Roll Roll instead. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Lets be honest - this place is quantity over quality. That being said, we are here at least once a week. Sometimes, this is exactly what you want - good quality fish, but just the basics. (We start out for the family with a tray of salmon nigiri and Instagram it every time) :)Yes, you can go spend $100 per person for some trendy upscale sushi restaurant, but when you just need to get down to business, come give this place a try. And, ask for Phoebe as your server if you can - she is the best!

Avoid this restaurant if possible. This place has horrible service, average sushi, and a owner that does not care about your business. I was there recently on a Friday night. They took over a hour to get my food. When asked why its taking so long the waitress told us a chef had purposefully thrown my small groups order on the floor. We talked to the owner/manager. He made up excuses and was extremely rude! He did not care at all about what happened. The waitress tried to help but got yelled at by the owner for being nice to us. Save your money for better quality and service. We found another restaurant called Something Fishy in woodland hills that same night. It is better in every way compared to crazy tokyo. Its comfortable, very affordable and across the street from crazy tokyo. Something Fishy has became our favorite go to sushi restaurant

Part of my love for this place definitely comes from being a regular. The manager always remembers me even when I had disappeared off to college for months at a time. The chefs are super friendly and always great you when you walk in.Oh right, the food. :) The sushi is awesome. The cuts of fish are thick, the prices arent out of this world ridiculous (probably half the price of most sushi places with similar quality), and the fish is fresh fresh fresh! My favorite fish to get is the salmon. To all foodie peeps, don’t waste your money or time at this place, you will regret it. We sat ourselves in an empty restaurant, the waitress (owner) just gave us menus, that’s it. Did not ask if we wanted anything to drink. We sat at the bar and gave the chef our order, we had eaten two dishes and still no offer of drinks. So we asked the chef for water. We then asked for an additional item on one of our hand rolls, the chef says “it’s not free!”.....My boyfriend says “ok, can you add it?” The chef didn’t answer, just looked at him! Wait, it’s not over! We had to wait and wait for our check then when we pay, The waitress (owner) takes the signed receipt from me and looks to see if we gave her a tip and says, “what, no tip?!” I said “No” and we walked out. Bill was$54, one of our our most expensive roll was pre-made and they threw jarred salsa on it. The place has dirty torn carpet from the 80’s and is dark and dingy. The advertised pics are a lie!

I dont expect much of a fast food type of sushi but this time it was the worst. Orders came out wrong and had to wait for everything a very long time even though it wasnt busy. Service was horrible gave us drinks in to go cups took over 20 minutes for edamame and seaweed salad.The peak was when my daughter found a short black hair in her water cup after she drank most of it (was under the ice)We got the sushi before we had chopsticks and soy sauce which took the server another 10 minutes to bring.Same thing with the check. She left on the table and disappeared so I had to go pay in the front.Never again.

I love this place. This is a sit back and chat place. I have see people act like Jenks then make a false yelp but I was there on two occasions and one of them they were kicked out I loved it. It was this lady and here friend thinking they were more special then they were. Lol the other time was today when a loud man with his girlfriend who seemed embarrassed for him kept changing order and saying that is not what he orders but it was. It was only them and me and my roommate there and you can smell an ass sometimes before they get there. Point is I love this place and the people there. Food is good.

Sushi is good, enjoyed the Miso soup. The service however was a little slow for how empty the resturant was. My biggest concern was one of the servers was constantly bickering with one of the sushi chefs wich is in an open area so all the guests could hear and see them. Their arguments continued throughout my stay and even escalated into shouting. I felt this very unprofessional and uncomfortable, wich really hurt their review score for me.

When we went in the lighting was bad we were accosted by the server every few minutes if we were ready we were yelled to fill in the orders ourself and when we ask for something on the grill we were yelled at no Grill we literally walked out and we are never going back. If I could give no stars I would. Great prices, but you get what you pay for. Been eating sushi for 33 years. Crazy Tokyo rates a D. Sushi falls off rice, crispy tuna on rice cake was horrible. (Soakef in grease) Ginger was not good either. Worst sushi than Kabuki who I also disfavor. Tatsuki was too crouded so I gave Crazy Tokyo a try. Should have waited.

Took my in laws there last Friday around 7. We usually sit at the bar but dat at the table because there was 7 of us. Our waitress is a taco short of a combo. Total dingy. Destiny was her name. My father in laws bday was that night and order just two items. Of course the one he wanted never came. We had to ask for it. Which came out 10 min later and was wrong. We were there for 2 hours!! The fish in the pond need some serious help man. Someone call PETA. They be barely able to swim homie, like straight scrapping on the rocks. They all trapped n they fins coming out of the water. I kept ordering cups of water and pouring it in for help my homie blackie.They should put him out of his Missouri, he be good in a roll.Other than they fish pond, food was dank 👌🏻. Lost a star out of respect fo blackie, and yelling at me for the lemon peels and straws left in the pond.

Long time customer for quick lunch at very reasonable prices. Close to the Encino and Tarzana condo and townhome neighborhoods where I spend a great deal of time. Often run into long time clients or people who recognize me from the area. Enjoy the BSRC roll and the Tarzana roll.

I came in to order to go, I sat down at the bar placed my order then inwas asked to sit at a table ....While the restaurant was empty, as im waiting for my order 2 people come in and sot at the bar and get served 3 rolls while im still waiting for my 6 roll order, and the waitress is walking around talking about financial payments in the dining room using the buss phone ....ya, last time im coming here (6 rolls 40 min cocky staff and 68 bucks = bulls#it)
